"I'm so bored." I complained the very next day and Jason, sitting beside me on the bed rolled his eyes fixing me with a faint smile when I crossed my arms. "I thought you'd agree with me, Jason."
"Of course I agree with you, Crystal but what can I do? You know if we go wandering N-Tek we'll end up straight back here. Neither of us are fully healed remember?" Jason chuckled, indicating his freshly bandaged chest with a wave of his hand and I snorted as he gently stroked my bandaged cheek. "Still there must be something we can do?"
"You two look bored." Max commented and I sighed as he walked into the room Steel hovering at his left shoulder. "I'm sure Uncle Forge won't mind if you leave N-Tek." The moment those words were out of his mouth Max found himself being stared at by an Ultralink, human and android all at once.
"Max, if we did try to leave we'll just get yelled at." I replied, giving my cheek a scratch until Jason casually grasped my hand in his.
"You should probably stop doing that, Crystal." Jason told me and I rolled my eyes offering my boyfriend a tiny grin. "Now what can we do to pass the time until our injuries heal?"
Less than half an hour later I found myself sitting on one end of the bed, fiddling with the cards in my hand until Jason grinned at me. "It's Snap, Crystal. It doesn't really involve a lot of thinking." He pointed out and I just rolled my eyes at him putting a card down without even looking at it.
"I know that, Jason. I was just thinking about what we'll do once Commander Forge lets us work again." I replied after a pause and he frowned at me bringing a small smile to my lips. "Relax, Jason. I only meant me."
"Crystal, we're a team aren't we?" Jason asked, still holding his cards and I nodded getting a smile in return. "Of course we are and that means I'm working with you."
"Are you sure you want to work for the good guys, Jason?" I asked him and he nodded after a pause watching with an amused grin when I set down my cards. "Good to hear that now...snap!" I told him, still grinning when he blinked back at me.
"You distracted me on purpose just so you could win didn't you?" Jason asked and I nodded, giggling when he tossed his cards over his shoulder. Using just one arm he pulled me onto his lap and I sighed when Jason kissed my neck. "This is much more enjoyable."
"Isn't it always?" I sighed liking the way his mind worked and as I started to tilt my head back intending on kissing my boyfriend we were interrupted by a cough. "Well there goes that idea.' I muttered as Jason looked over at the doorway his eyes narrowed at Doctor Christopher who blinked back at us.
"Sorry to interrupt but I still need to make sure you two are recovering from your injuries." Doctor Christopher said with a tiny smile and I snorted as he crossed the room stopping in front of our bed. "Though judging from what I just witnessed you two might be able to stay in your dorm until you finish your recovery." He added and that brought a smile to my lips.
"Sounds very good to me but are you sure that we can go back to my dorm?" Jason asked forgetting all about being annoyed when the doctor took out his stethoscope. "Now what do you need to do?"
"Just check your pulse and temperatures, Jason. Plus I need to make sure you injuries are healing. If they are I'll give you some medicine to take until your wounds heal." Doctor Christopher explained and Jason grinned lifting up his shirt to reveal his bandages.
While I waited for it to be my turn I noticed that Jason barely flinched when Doctor Christopher removed his bandages, checking the stitches before he cleaned and dressed the wound. "Now just make sure that if you shower you need to wrap your bandages and keep them clean and dry. Other than that you should be alright to stay in your dorm from now on."
"That sounds great. I'm starting to feel better already." I replied and Jason smirked at me as I sat still waiting for Doctor Christopher to check my eye, cheek and chin. After checking my own healing wounds Doctor Christopher checked my pulse. "Please say I can stay in my dorm from today onward." I asked and the doctor chuckled, draping his stethoscope around his neck before he straightened.
"You are healing very nicely, Crystal. Which means that you and Naught have my permission to stay in your dorm until you are both fully healed." Doctor Christopher announced and I couldn't help the grin that appeared on my lips and even Jason draped an arm around my waist looking just as relieved.
"I'll just get you both some painkillers." He added, heading over to the cupboard and I let out a breath as I rested my head on Jason's shoulder noting with a faint smile that Jason had the same exact smile on his lips. Doctor Christopher turned back around holding a small bottle in one hand he frowned slightly once he saw my eyes half closed and I blinked awake as soon as he stood in front of us.
"I'm fine just looking forward to getting some proper rest in my bed. Not as good as my bed back at my apartment but it'll do for now." I replied, trying not to show how tired I still was as I pushed off from the bed.
Without the doctor being there and Jason offering me his arm I probably wouldn't have made the short trip to my dorm though once he opened the door Doctor Christopher sighed as I leaned heavily on Jason's shoulder my android boyfriend barely able to stop his legs from trembling. Shaking his head at us Doctor Christopher helped us inside the room only leaving once we were safely sitting on the bed, the pill bottle resting on the bedside table a note sitting beside it with instructions about how to take the medication.
As soon as the door clicked shut behind us I lay on my side and Jason smiled at me, lying just behind me and I sighed as he draped his bandaged arm around my waist. "Guess we need to sleep as much as we can before we're ready to do anything. Especially walk." I mumbled and Jason yawned, offering his own views on that suggestion as he cuddled me.
"I second that idea, Crystal. Anyway I don't mind if I spend the next few weeks sleeping beside you only leaving this room to eat and use the bathroom." Jason answered, barely keeping his eyes open and I would have answered had the urge to sleep not hit me so hard. Once he lifted his head enough to peer at my face Jason noted that I'd closed my eyes and he smiled, his lips brushing my forehead before he lay back relaxing enough to fall asleep beside me.
