A/N So I'll admit that this one is long overdue. It has been sitting in my folder half finished for a very long time and I just didn't get to finishing it until now. Thank you for your time and hopefully you enjoy. - Countdrizzle

4 hours earlier- Starfleet Headquarters

" And thus we can not shut down the Orion slave trade routes." Ambassador Gral has been speaking non stop on the reasons why the Orion slave market is important Tellar. Prime Minister of Earth Nathan Samuels swore he was about to fall asleep until his secretary came and interrupted the meeting.

" I am so sorry for the interruption sir but we just got news about the Vulcan/Human hybrid." She said when she walked in. Lucy Adams wasn't really allowed to interrupt but the information is to be reported ASAP so she really didn't think anyone would mind.

" Alleged Vulcan/Human Hybrid." Ambassador Sonn said while Samuels was reading the information.

" Not anymore Ambassador Enterprise just picked her up from the Mars colony." Samuels said matter of factly. He was always ashamed of what Terra Prime turned out to be. When he joined Terra Prime he always wanted for them to leave so none of them killed any more innocent humans like his father, but killing them and others just took it way too far. Then they made this adorable little girl and called her a monster, they should be ashamed of what they did and are doing now.

" It's a girl, my grandchild is a girl." They all heard Soval mutter. Sonn was astonished he actually believes that 'Child' is his grandchild. How disgraceful to Vulcans, it should be obliterated for just being alive, humans are annoying, distasteful, and childish how can he be accepting this.

" Yes ambassador your grandchild is a girl." He thought about this for a second then he just had to ask. " Would you like to know who the father is?"

" Yes, please." Soval was really hoping it wouldn't be Archer, he is a good captain and all but he still gets on his nerves, and he really didn't believe that he would make a good father.

" The father is commander Tucker." Soval was pleased by this, he knew from T'Les that his daughter and the commander liked each other. He wished that T'Les could be alive so that she could meet her granddaughter, the father being someone she had great respect for.

" May we pause these talks for a few days so I can go up to Enterprise to meet her?" Soval asked and looked around, stopping to see the huge smile on Shran's face.

" I for one have no problem with it paw paw."

" Sure thing Ambassador" The Prime Minister replied with a low chuckle. With agreements of the others Soval went to start his journey to meet his already beloved granddaughter.

1 hours later- Ti'Mur

" Hello ambassador how are you?" Asked T'Pol when she answered the call. She seemed to be in sickbay, so Soval was worried.

" I am well. How are you and the child?" He asked more, wanting to know more why his daughter was in sickbay.

" We are well ambassador." She could sense his nervousness through the bond she has with him. " We are in sickbay to make sure she doesn't catch an infection. She just had her DNA resequent to make sure she lives. She is fine and healthy." This made Soval calm down, even though his face betrayed it he was terrified to lose another loved one. He was never the best father, he was gone most of the time and when he was there he was cold and distant. He has been trying to make that up to his daughter since she got back from the Xindi mission.

" That is gratifying to hear. How are you..and commander Tucker?" He added the last part to make sure his daughter knew he was okay with the child's heritage.

" We are both doing fine. In fact he asked me to marry him." T'Pol was nervous when she told her father this piece of news. Her father has not always been too fond of humans, especially Trip.

" I am sure that he is pleased that you said yes he has been wanting to do it for sometime." This shocked T'Pol, how did he know that.

" Indeed. Had he told you that?" She wondered because she knew he did not know that Soval was her father.

" No when you and the captain were in the forge he was quite worried about you and the captain but mostly you. That and your mother told me he loved you." The last part pained him to say. He loved his wife, not that he would ever say that, no that was for him to know no one else. The hardest thing he has ever had to do was let go of his family. He already had to do that twice he was determined not to let his beloved daughter share his wife's and son's fait, he knew that the Commander would keep her and his granddaughter safe.

" I never asked what her name is?" He wanted to know so he could tell T'Les and their son in his meditation he will be doing for the remainder of his trip. Unknown to most but like his wife he was also a Syrrannite and one thing that he has been doing for a while is spending time with his dead family using his memories of them.

" Elizabeth T'Les Tucker." T'Pol responded by focusing on her bond with her parent to see how he feels about naming her after her mother. She felt the joy he felt at the name they chosin.

" That is a wonderful name. I will see you in 3 hours." He said he felt as if he was going to get emotional and really needed to meditate. T'Pol catching on to what he was implying cut the conversation short.

" Indeed, until then." She said holding up the ta'al when the screen turned black.

3 hours later-Enterprise

Trip had to run to catch up to T'Pol, she was a surprisingly fast walker. When he did catch up he stopped her.

" Hey I'm so sorry for the way they acted, and for bringing them to you." He looked down with tears in his eyes. It broke T'Pol's heart to see him like this, and it's all her fault.

" They obviously adore Elizabeth and they are your family, maybe when you take her down to meet your grandmother I won't go." This made T'Pol start walking to meet their destination on time, But then Trip stopped her again.

" What are you talking about? I'm not going anywhere without you. You and Lizzy are my everything. Look I love my family but, I love you guys way more." He said before bending down and kissing Lizzy on the forehead and then pulled T'Pol into a deep kiss.

When they finished T'Pol started walking when she said " I am going to be Captain when you go down to see your grandparents and will be busy. You go down alone so I do not cause problems and get work done. Now if we don't hurry up we will be late." She started walking that incredibly fast pace again trying her hardest not to be late. Little does Trip know that she has talked to his grandmother before. When Trip transferred to Columbia in what seems like a lifetime ago, not just a few months, she called her to tell her that she should follow her heart, just like what her old self from the alternate universe told her to do. So when she got the chance that is what she did, sadly when Trip said that this whole thing was no big deal that made her think that he didn't want to be in a relationship with her. When she told the kind woman this she told her to wait for faith to bring them together, at first she thought she was crazy in believing faith but maybe she was right.

2 minutes later-That one room were they wait for the shuttle pod room to be ready

" Hey cap'n hope you don't mind I tag along." Said Trip with the trademark Tucker smile. The captain had to count to 10 just to keep himself from losing his mind.

" No of course not." He replied with a tight grin that did not go unnoticed by his long time friend. Even though they might not be as close as they once were he could still read him like a book and automatically knew what was going on. The same thing happened with his ex Jennifer, when he asked her out he had no clue that he liked her. When he did find out he broke things off right away to make sure he a Jon would be okay, but not this time. T'Pol is to special to let her slip away like she almost did the last time.
" When I heard that you had accepted the Admiral job it surprised me. You always said that you would remain in space until you were forced out. What changed your mind?" He asked trying to get him to admit it knowing full well he wouldn't. This made Archer fume he now knew that Trip knew full well why he took the promotion. " Hey maybe after we are done here we can talk about it over some bourbon?" Trip was now just wanting to confront him with the issue to work it out. He always wanted to make things up with Jon but, with all that has been going on with T'Pol and now the baby he just couldn't and, it's not like the Captain made much of an effort ethier.

" Sure thing Trip." Was all he said before the 4 of them moved to meet the ambassador.

Once there Soval eagerly got the pleasantries out of the way so he could meet his grandbaby.

" Hello father. I would like to introduce to you Elizabeth T'Les Tucker." She said holding out the baby for him to see.

" She is agreeable. May I hold her?" He asked, wanting to snatch the child from his daughter's arms. He has no idea why but when he set foot on Enterprise his emotions were getting harder to control. This has never happened in any of his other times he was on the ship.

" Of course." She said before handing her child to her father who took her with practiced ease. Even though distant he was always there when his children were babies. When she handed her to Soval she stepped back to stand next to her beloved. When she arrived at her destination he wrapped his arm around her and held her close.

" She is very beautiful, congratulations." Soval said his emotions are still very difficult to control. " I'm having difficulties controlling emotions." This got all of their attention. If a very Vulcan like Vulcan like him admits that he is having a hard time controlling his emotions then something is wrong.

" I too am having some difficulty controlling my emotions, I had an outburst earlier today. It left me concerned." This got Archer's head reeling.

" When did this all start?" Questioned Archer.

" When the door to the Shuttlepod opened. This has never happened before." Soval thinking just as carefully as the rest.

" What about you T'Pol?" Trip asked coming on to an idea.

" When the Admirals and your family went into sickbay."

" Then that's where we should start. T'Pol you get the Admiral and we'll go straight to Sickbay." Archer said before everyone hustled to the spot they were ordered too.

Admiral Hazelwood was enjoying a book on World War Two in the guest quarters that was provided to her. Unlike most of the officers in StarFleet she didn't study Engineering or languages. Never liked science or learning how to steer a starship. Wouldn't mind being a tactical officer or the Captain but she didn't want to do that either. She and most people in her elite division study war. All the elements of it the offensive moves, the defensive, the action of surprise and the moral between each squad. Though she didn't want to ever be put in such a position she would do whatever is in her power to win any war her world needs her too. But one of her most favorite parts of war is espionage. No matter what century or what nation there has always been espionage. Courtney is a trained spy and it is her job to notice when something is off so when she sees T'Pol fidget or when her voice isn't completely emotionless she knows something is off. Though she knows that T'Pol has taken a beating during her years on the Enterprise she has talked to her once every week and she knows that this wasn't a part of it. So she wasn't surprised to see T'Pol at her doorstep.

" What's been going on?" T'Pol could hear the worry in her voice.

" There is something interfering with my emotional control. The same thing is happening to the ambassador." Courtney rolled her eyes at the mention of Soval. It is well known to the coalition and the people of Earth and Vulcan that the two don't get along.

" Well let me tell you something, it ain't that hard to break his emotional control."

" Correction it is not hard for you to break his emotional control. For everybody else who does not have the practice you do find it difficult." Courtney gives her her usual small smirk and sighed.

" You really do get T'Pol." T'Pol fought the erge to sigh and got back to the business and hand.

" The Captian and Trip are in Sickbay with Soval to try and find out what is happening they wanted me to get you to help with the investigation." Courtney nodded and left the room with her in her pyjammas.

" Admiral I was going to let you change."

" T'Pol please tell me when I ever cared about what other people think of me. Because I can't think of a single time.

" I just thought that you wouldn't want to conduct an investigation wearing a top and trousers that have small blue people wearing white."

" They're called Smurfs T'Pol and Papa smurf is wearing red." Courtney saw T'Pol's look and continued.

" They were a gift from Sam okay?"

" Your daughter has an interesting taste in clothing." Courtney laughed and half heartedly defended her daughter.

" She was seven. Just wait until Lizzie reaches that age and see what happens you'll probably have spongebob PJ's." T'Pol stopped and raised an eyebrow.

" What is a ' Sponge Bob'?" Courtney laughed and kept walking.

When they reached the Sickbay Reed was already there. The guys tried to hold it in but couldn't help but laugh at the Admiral's attire.

" Admiral, the matter wasn't that urgant you could have changed." Archer said, trying to pull himself together.

" What and miss seeing that face Soval has on right now." Both of the Ambassador's eyebrows are hidden behinde his banges but when Courtney pointed it out he quickly fixed it.

" So what do you have right now?" Courtney asked looking at the group Phlox was the only one who knew anything.

" In Ambassador Soval's bloodstream there is a substance called moglan four." Courtney interrupted the doctor to explain.

" A gas that when inhaled can make a Vulcan lose control of their emotions. Not completely but enough to make them worry." Phlox smiled at the Admiral.

" I did not know that your wealth of knowledge extends to gasses Admiral."

" Only when they can be used as a weapon. Has T'Pol ever told you how we met?" Trip awnsered her question.

" You were partners in the I.I.A."

" Yes well when I got promoted to be the head of the newly founded StarFleet Intelligence T'Pol was put on the I.I.A. reserves and mostly did missions solely for the V'Shar. Well after she was put on their reserves she served on the Seleya for a short time before the High Command put her back into the war to lead a ground task force. T'Pol would you like to finish?" T'Pol stepped up.

" Yes, like she said I served for the military, then became a spy, a scientist, back to a soldier, a dimpolmat, then a scientist. During my second tour of duty my ground task force was accompanied by a group of StarFleet Intelligence agents. Our objective was to distroy the Andorians main weapons facility. It took us two years to complete such a mission." Courtney picked up where she left off.

" It was a lot like World War 1 in the way of trench warfare. Their side was about 32 km from the weopons facility then there was no man's land. It took the Vulcan's air support, space support and T'Pol's task force two years to dytroy the building."

" During those two years the Andorian's knew that they could not stop us with us being healthy so instead of dropping bombs on us they dropped moglan four to break down our emotional control. If a Vulcan is around the gas long enough it will leave pernamit damage." T'Pol finished off.

" It's like a gaseous version of Trellium D." Archer stated while he was in deep thought. Phlox replied anyway.

" Yes Captain exactly like Trellium D. If we don't find out where the gas is coming from and who is planting it before too long their neural pathways will be damaged to the point they can't be repaired." Trip looked down and shook his head.

" I think I know where to look first." His voice was so bitter no one could meet his eye. Trip stormed out of the room with Archer, T'Pol, Malcolm, and Courtney right on his track.

A/N I offer no apology for the Cliffhanger.
