JUST SO YOU AREN'T CONFUSED:

99% of this chapter takes place in the dreams of Ginny remembering her fake past with Milikan as you may remember in chapter 1 Milikan asked for her to remember a past with them together.

Their meet in chapter 1 has been heavily changed for this chapter and in no way will be a mirror of Chapter 1 as Ginny will be more aggressive, and Milikan refuses to even talk until Ginny is about to chuck her out the window. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks again to Marcus S. Lazarus for all the help he has given me for this story.

I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter, everyone.

Thoughts about Simora? Was he a good character to hate or did you… Like him?

There is no sexual content in this chapter, but there will be a few nude character scenes that I gloss over somewhat as I don't wish to pay any attention to the character's body at that moment. You'll understand when that scene comes up.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Let's go…

Double Life

Chapter 4: Dreams of the Past?

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

"Oh, the anger he was in when he realized he couldn't eat her due to how skinny he was."

"We had a spat and then we fought. LET THIS BE A MESSAGE TO ANYONE WANTING TO HARM MY SERVANT. YOU MESS WITH HER OR MEYOU WILL DIE."

Looking at the small grave that had been dug for his brother, Kallous cursed that he wasn't able to give Simora a full burial. It had been tricky enough to get his coils on Simora's head while the rest of the clan were fawning over his returned killer; he couldn't afford to waste time trying to subtly ask where the rest of the body had been, and had chosen simply to retreat after hearing Milikan's threat that anyone else who messed with her servant would die.

During the celebrations that were at full swing that Milikan had come back, Kallous snuck in and took the severed head.

He supposed that he should just be grateful that the rest of his followers had been able to join him later that night at the top of the mountain where their radical leader resided.

With most of the clan celebrating Milikan's return, Milikan herself had apparently been content to assume that his horror was just at the loss of his brother rather than anything more significant. It hadn't been too hard for him to contact the rest of his fellow radicals and slip away from the main group, considering that they didn't exactly have any close friends in the clan outside each other, but looking around just reinforced the tragedy of what had just happened.

There were so few of them left, ten at the least, eleven when including his exiled brother, and now they had lost the best of them…

A dark pink snake buried her head in one of her coils, "H-How could this have happened?" Yunba said, the female snake looking mournfully at the grave that was all she would ever have of the lover she had lost thirty years ago. "He was so powerful… And he failed to eat a delicious human?"

Everyone present nodded in agreement, wondering the same thing, how did Simora fail?

"It is like Milikan said, he was apparently skinny from lack of food," A snake by the name of Quizz observed with a solemn sigh, rolling his eyes and chuckling as he moved in front of the others. "It can happen to the best of us…"

The snake to his right scoffed with an eye roll, "And Milikan calls him out for his attitude when she has her own slave?" Alcon spat in disgust.

"She did specify that the girl was a servant rather than a slave," Salazar pointed out to his associate.

"That makes a difference?" Crane asked.

"To those who consider such things relevant, certainly," Salazar observed. "I confess that I would be curious to establish if this is just her justifying her own hypocrisy-"

"What does that matter?" Yunba glared at the group's self-styled philosopher. "We have lost the only one who had the nerve to do anything public against this pathetic 'be nice to humans' philosophy that our past leaders threw on us. When Simora pushed Milikan away, we actually had a chance… And now..." She trailed off as she began to shed tears.

"Our way of life, eating humans to satisfy us, is in danger of being up rooted entirely by just one snake." Kallous finished for her with a low growl at the thought of Milikan ending their philosophy with just her unwanted presence.

Zekk chuckled sadly, "Simora was awesome… I looked up to him when he was here…" Yunba, knowing of the pain she was in, reached over with her tail to pat her head.

"There are only 11 of us radicals now. After Simora's exile, many followed him either in death, or banishment." Said Bash, remembering how the radicals used to somewhat out number the human lovers thirty years ago.

"Simora…" Kallous whispered, pain in his voice as his tail stroked the small mound of earth that was the grave, "First my parents pass on a decade after his exile, and now my brother shall never return… Who will be next?" He whispered loud enough for the others to hear him.

He slammed his tail on the ground, sorrow and anger warring on his features before he came to a decision. "She must die."

"Milikan?" Alcon looked at him in surprise. "But if we are caught-"

"No, not Milikan," Kallous waved his tail with a dismissive laugh. "Once she dies, that's it; everyone mourns her, but for her, it's all over. She has to suffer like we suffer now, which means we need to target that servant of hers who drove her to end my brother's life."

"The servant?" Senor asked, looking at their cherished leader in disbelief.

"She drove Milikan to kill Simora; does anyone disagree that she deserves to die?" Kallous asked, looking back and forth at the group.

"Uh…" Bash raised his tail inquiringly.

"What?" Kallous glared at him.

"Not saying that I don't like the idea, but how are we going to do that?" He sounded so confused about this mission.

"He has a point," Quizz said with a sharp nod, "Milikan might be back, but it's not like she's told us anything about her servant, and we're not exactly in a position to rise against the clan leader and make Milikan tell us anything-"

"If we are going to do this, we need to do it properly," Kallous said grimly, cutting Quizz off. He appreciated the snake's ability to see a wider picture, but right now he had to make a point.

Looking around at the group, Kallous was satisfied to see a mix of confusion, curiosity, and tentative smirks, evidently thinking that he had a plan, "We've grown complacent, trying to sow dissatisfaction with the new ways without truly acknowledging the practices that Simora was exiled for trying to defend, which means we need a true guide…" The vile snake smirked wickedly in remembrance.

"A guide?" Quizz repeated curiously, "But everyone who truly appreciated that time of our clan history has already passed on; we were simply taught-"

"Not everyone, my dear friend," Kallous interrupted him. "There is one who may still be alive."

That tease made one snake gasp as he nearly blended his words all together, "Do you mean-?" Snipe asked with an eager grin.

"Yes," Kallous nodded at the other snake. "Take Caspar and find a human vessel bound for India; it is time to seek out the lost one."

Both said snakes nodded as they left at that moment.

"Him?" Bash looked at Kallous in surprise. "After this long, what could he-?"

"He understood the way that things had to be," Kallous observed, "If we are going to prevent such an attitude of protecting and loving humans from spreading any further, we will need his insight."

"Even when he failed? Didn't he get banished in 1940 for openly eating ten humans?" Zekk asked. She highly respected the snake they were talking about, but they had to acknowledge his flaws.

"Even learning what he did wrong will help us," Kallous said.

Snipe and Caspar had returned to use the secret exit so no one down below would question them, when the tail of Simora landed on it, causing the two to look at their leader, "Find him, or find anything to indicate what fate has befallen him; if he is alive, you must persuade him to return." he instructed, his eyes showing that he was serious about the order, the eyes that told them that they would be punished if they chickened out.

The two of them smirked, an answer Kallous needed, letting the two snakes go.

He clearly heard them say, "India, here we come…"

After the rest of the remaining radicals went to bed, Kallous was left alone mourning the loss of his brother.

"I am sorry, brother," Kallous looked solemnly at the grave, "I have failed to protect you… But I will see to it that Milikan and her wretched servant you longed for pay for what they have done."

Whatever it was about that woman that made Milikan kill one of her own, Kallous would take pleasure in making the returned exile see what a mistake she had made ending his brother.

Kallous made one error though, he had failed to tell his allies one thing, Simora was here the other night spewing to him his plan to eat the woman. Maybe they could have come up with a new plan if he had remembered at that moment.

"So… What brings you here, my brother?" Asked the snake, leaning his neck up higher with a questioning gaze.

Simora nearly cried out in howls of relieving laughter, "Kallous, Milikan I found her, I found her." He stressed the finding her part.

Kallous rolled his eyes at his brother; Simora could have simply brought him a nice juicy human, but instead he goes on about how he found his nemesis.

The yellow snake growled, "Don't give me that look. Kallous, Milikan has a human woman, a very beautiful, big breasted human woman at that." Simora smirked as Kallous spun his head around with wide eyes, "Are you certain, Simora?" He asked as he surveyed if his brother was, in fact, lying, or not.

"Rest assured brother I am not lying here hahaha. She has a redheaded human woman under her control and was making her dance earlier."

Kallous grinned, "At first I was merely mildly curious, but now, you have my full attention, Simora." Said the other snake, licking his lips, "What do you plan to do? I want you to eat this human. Let Milikan suffer not being able to rescue someone this close to her." He grinned evilly as he remembered killing Milikan's father and brother 12 years prior.

Simora nodded his head rapidly, "I plan to Kallous. I hope within the next couple of days, Milikan has to take her into the forest, right? So that is when I'll strike." He smirked as it began to thunder in the distance.

Down below the mountain, the reunion was ending slowly. Milikan and her mother soon retired to the cave Milikan had grown up in. It was quite large, and actually not the cave that she grew up in, in fact it was much bigger.

Seeing her daughter's confusion, Mzana giggled as she answered her question, "I'm the leaders' advisor. So that means I get the second-largest cave in the mountain." Milikan was in awe how much more amazing it looked, it being closer to the surface and all.

Mzana asked her daughter what had happened earlier, about the whole Simora ordeal, and Milikan went into detail how her day had been going great.

Mzana was so proud of her daughter for having a beautiful servant with a great body, from the sound of it, and nearly cried when hearing about what had happened.

Though, when she saw her daughter rub her tail in the dirt, she asked Milikan, "What's wrong?"

Milikan wouldn't have confessed her feelings to anyone else, but her mother had always had a way of making her let down her barriers and tell her all her secrets.

"It's Ginny," she said, her voice low. "I… think I love her…"

Meanwhile, back at the Potter home, Ginny's subconscious mind, at true rest for the first time since a certain purple snake had entered her life, was hard at work, 'organizing' her thoughts to allow her to remember all of her made up past with Milikan that Ginny thought to be real.

She smiled as she remembered all the great highlights...

October 1988

"Mmm…" 7-year-old Ginny smiled as a dream replayed in her mind's eye, a dream about Harry Potter. She couldn't wait to meet her hero, fall in love, and marry him.

With her eyes half lidded from sleep, staring up at the ceiling, a lazy smile rested on her face as she said, "When I meet my hero we will fall in love and nothing will ever tear us apart… I hope." Trailed off, the young girl with a big yawn as she stretched her limbs.

Footfalls outside the door alerted Ginny. Her door then slowly opened, a mini firework scooted in, its fuse lit. Ginny grinned as she pretended to be asleep, hoping her prankster twin brothers, Fred and George, would peak in to see if their plan would fail or not.

Right on cue with that thought, one of the twins stuck their head in with a devilish smirk, before retreating back into the hall quietly laughing, high-fiving the other twin on the staircase landing.

Ginny quietly giggled, threw the covers off of her, stuffed her pillow under them before silently making her way over to the closed door. After a few tense moments, Ginny slowly dropped to her belly, crawled to the fuse and snuffed it out. It was nearly at the end of its fuse that would have scared her from sleep if she hadn't woken up due to the daylight on her eyelids.

"Hey… Why hasn't it gone off yet, Georgie?" She heard a muffled confused voice, obviously from the twin named Fred, speculating that their surprise wake-up call didn't work, George voicing his confusion with a grunt.

Fred grasped the door handle, "Let me check…" Ginny grinned, jumped out from her hiding spot, and scared the Weasley twins with a loud, "AHA." Fred squealed like a girl as he jumped 2 feet in the air, George catching him, both staring at their laughing sister currently clutching her belly on the floor, "Yo-You s-should see y-your faces… Hahaha."

The twins frowned before walking downstairs in the position they were in. Ginny giggled as she heard her mom causally ask what was going on, with a tad bit of amusement in the older woman's voice.

"G-Good m-morning Ginny…" Said the youngest, while also the laziest, boy in the family, Ron Weasley, who trudged past his sister standing in the door with red cheeks from her laughter at the twins' predicament.

"What are you laughing at?" He mumbled, just at the top of the stairs that led down to the first floor.

Ginny giggled as she walked over to the stairs, and they went down together, "Fred and George intended to prank me in order to wake me up, instead I ruined it for them by scaring them so bad, George walked down to breakfast with Fred in his arms." Again, she giggled.

Ron grinned as they made their way down to breakfast together, Mr. Weasley following behind with a scowl on his face that his twin sons tried to wake their sister up with a needless prank.

After breakfast, Ginny was given permission to go outside and play for a few hours, as long as she stayed on the property, which Ginny rolled her eyes at the warning, why would she leave the Burrow's ward lines?

It was a chilly day, so Ginny pulled on a dark maroon jumper with the letter G emblazoned on it, symbolizing it as hers. With that task done, Ginny walked out the front door into the early autumn breeze.

Ginny loved this time of the year, for the leaves of the trees turned her style of red, like her hair.

She continued walking for a couple of minutes, enjoying the early day, the chickens eating from their troughs.

Ginny saw her favorite tree on top of a hill and ran to it with the thought in mind to climb it, rebellious against that wish from her mother, as her brothers did it all the time.

Except, as she reached it, her hand missed the branch lowest to the ground and the girl teetered on the edge of the hill, losing her balance. At worst, she would break an arm if she fell from this height, although that would be the worst-case scenario.

Just as she feared, Ginny couldn't stop herself as she leaned forward too much and fell. However, something smooth and comforting around her midsection caused her to stop falling.

Opening her brown eyes, Ginny looked around and saw nothing but a purple tail curled around her stomach, her eyes widened in glee, 'It's Harry Potter on his dragon… He has come to save me.' Said the girl in her thoughts with an inward squeal.

"Are you ok?" Wait? That voice was feminine. Ginny turned around as she was brought before the being who had saved her from a broken arm wasn't at all who she imagined it to be, as she stood there with an unreadable expression that a reptile saved her.

The reptile was a yellow eyed, purple and brown snake, about twenty-five feet long, with concern in its kind eyes, concern for who though? Her? The idea filled Ginny's heart with joy, but she kept it hidden.

"Are you alright, little one?" Asked the snake again, in fear that something caused the girl to be in shock. Ginny, seeing how she was in awe by this snake saving her life, shook her head out of her thoughts as she smiled, "Thank you, snake, for helping me." She said kindly.

The snake bowed its head, "You are welcome, child." Said the snake, smiling brightly back at the young girl.

Ginny then asked a question that looked to shock the snake as her head moved backward shocked, "Would you like to be friends?" Asked a sheepish Ginny, who had no friends other than a girl her age on the other side of town.

The snake took a moment before nodding, "Sure… I'll be your friend, girl." Ginny's eyes lit up with glee as she jumped in the air, "Yippee. I'm Ginny, and I'm so happy to have another friend." She now had someone who would include her in activities, hopefully, as her brother refused to let her do a lot of stuff with them, and Luna, her only other friend, was busy a lot of the time.

The snake chuckled as she extended her tail tip for a handshake, "Well, hello Ginny. My name is Milikan. Let's get this friendship started." Ginny couldn't wait to hang out with this snake, she seemed so friendly, heroic, lively and happy. But how would she know what her life was like before coming across her?

"Soooo… What do you have in mind, my friend?" Asked the snake, looking left and right for something to do with her new human friend.

November 1988

It was sunset on the last week of November, her three oldest brothers who were at Hogwarts would be coming home for the holidays in a couple of weeks.

To say Ginny was joyous would be an overstatement, as she had been asking her mom and dad if Bill had written home every single day since the start of November about if he, Charlie and Percy would be coming home for the holidays. This was Bill's 7th and last year at Hogwarts, and Ginny was worried that he was going to move out directly after graduation. Oh, she hoped he wouldn't.

Bill and Charlie knew what it was like for her not to be involved in things with their youngest brothers. Ron would include her in the most minimal of activities nowadays, which soured Ginny's mood at most on certain days when they would leave her out of a game of Quidditch with an excuse that girls shouldn't and couldn't fly, well, Ron would utter that nearly every time a game was even thought of being held on the Weasley pitch.

"That's right… Bill and Charlie aren't the only ones who know of my struggles to get involved with everyone else…" A grateful smile grew on her face knowing that her snake friend, Milikan, involved her in everything, from secrets to games etc. Their friendship was so special that Ginny found herself thinking what it would be like to have their friendship out in the open.

Though that thought was repeatedly put down by her friend on more than one occasion, "You can't reveal it to anyone Ginny… It could be dangerous…" She would always warn the girl if the redhead had asked her that. By now, though, Ginny has learned to not ask that question, which was alright with her. Putting her best friend in danger would ruin any happiness that has formed in her heart since that fateful day in October.

Ever since that day in October when she met her best friend, Ginny and Milikan have gotten along so well. So well, in fact, that Ginny sometimes snuck out just to be with her.

It concerned the snake at best, but after a while when she saw that Ginny could do it without being caught and questioned, she began to loosen up a little.

"Hello, Ginny." Ginny smiled, and gasped happily as she spun to her left, hugging the purple snake that had invaded her thoughts. The snake closed her eyes tightly, enjoying the hug immensely, "I missed you, Gin." Ginny smiled, holding onto her tighter, loving the nickname that this snake has given her. No one else was allowed to use it if they decided to start.

"I missed you too, Milikan." Said Ginny, happily pulling away from the hug, smiling at the snake that has changed her life.

She then got an idea and pulled Milikan towards the shed, a small building full of muggle gadgets and gizmos that her father toys with. She peeked in through the slightly ajar door, her father was not present, thankfully. Looking around, Ginny found the broom that Bill would use when home and took it outside.

When Milikan saw it, she grew nervous, "Ginny… Again…? You know how nervous I get seeing you up there… What if you fall?" Her friend never stopped her from riding the broom, only just voicing her concern, as she was worried her best friend would hurt herself showing off to the snake.

However, this time around was different, Ginny crouched and hugged Milikan softly as she asked the important question she had been thinking about since seeing her last, "Want to ride on the broom… With me?" Her eyes searching the large, worried yellow eyes of the snake, pleading her to at least accept one flight.

They hadn't done this together before, so Ginny wanted to do something new with this special snake that has made her life joyful without being included in a house full of boys.

It took a few moments to convince Milikan to try it out, but soon they both climbed on the broom. Milikan had to coil around it a few times, and once around Ginny's bare stomach as she had lifted her shirt up and tied it just above her belly, so she could feel the cool coils against her skin, appreciating the sensation of skin-to-scale contact.

The snake wasn't going to admit it, though coiling around her friend's belly soothed her, and sort of made her happy that the girl trusted her this much with coiling around a body part like that.

The entire ride left Milikan in a state of constant fear as Ginny did loop the loops, dives, spins and even dives that resulted in a last second pull up that left Milikan grazing the tip of her tail on the dirt, freaking her out even more from the sounds of it.

Hearing the frightful gasps, Ginny frowned knowing her best friend was scared and so not to frighten her anymore, Ginny leveled out the broom where it glided slowly, "I'm sorry for freaking you out bestie." She said in a low voice, gripping the front of the broom hard, the comfort of the coils around her belly being the only positive for her mood.

Milikan, seeing how her discomfort demotivated the young girl, said to her, "You know what… Keep doing what you were doing." She knew that she had to be brave for her human friend.

Ginny turned towards her with a thankful smile before they sped off around the property. With the initial fear passed, Millikan was able to focus more on taking in everything else around them, and soon the two were having the time of their life together in the air.

'Nothing will ever top this…' Ginny thought as they weaved around the forest entrance on the property.

Milikan was having the time of her life now as they spun in circles before Ginny stopped the broom outside the shed doors, hopped off and the duo said goodbye for the night with a hug.

December 1988

"FRED, GEORGE AND RONALD WEASLEY. GET DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT." Shouted the obviously pissed off Molly Weasley.

Ginny, however, not in trouble, decided to use the frenzy of her family members to sneak out to see Milikan. The redheaded little girl had been upset that she and her best friend couldn't spend Christmas together, so the two had promised to meet up every day until that day for some happiness and fun.

"Psst… Ginny. Over here." Milikan shouted in a whisper hanging from a tree branch in the front yard. Giving a delighted gasp, Ginny skipped over to the tree and peered up at her amazingly unique friend.

"Hiya bestie." Ginny said cheerfully as Milikan brought a coil down from the tree to coil around her, though she left the coil hanging there, hoping Ginny would get the message. It took a moment before Ginny understood what the delay was, "Oh." And she lifted her shirt up to reveal her belly, and tied it just above her belly button.

Milikan soon coiled around her smooth stomach, the scales tickling against it, making happy little giggles come from Ginny as the purple snake lifted her higher into the tree.

No one saw that action transpire, thankfully, as the rest of the Weasley's came piling out the door. Mrs. Weasley looked around for her daughter, though due to Ginny having been running around the Burrow a lot more the last few months, and always came back home safely, Molly felt inclined to just leave a note on their whereabouts if the girl was to return to the house before they did.

The rest of the Weasley's were heading out for Diagon Alley to go into shops Ginny disliked anyway, so she wasn't missing anything at all.

Once the coast was clear, Ginny squealed as she hugged her friend, "Oh, I missed you so much." The girl was practically bouncing in her coiled seat, that made Milikan laugh.

Ginny was smiling from ear to ear as her friend said, "Ginny… We just saw each other yesterday." Reminded the amused snake to the adorable redhead sitting in her coils.

Said girl clasped her hands together, giving the snake big puppy dog eyes, "I know Milikan. I'm just so excited to see you is all, is that a crime, ms. snake?" Said the girl teasing her friend with the ms. snake bit. She knew it annoyed Milikan greatly.

The snake frowned, an expression warped on her face making Ginny believe that she was so over this tease, and giggled at her expense.

"Laugh it up, youngling." Said the exasperated snake, looking at her friend with half closed eyes.

Ginny giggled as she looked down, searching for a place to climb down to the ground from this height. Getting the message, Milikan wrapped a coil around her belly, took her off the branch and placed her on the ground with confusion. Ginny grinned as she lightly tapped the forehead of her reptilian friend, "Tag, you are it, Milikan." She ran laughing, leaving her best friend hanging from the tree in shock, before she uncoiled from the tree and gave chase.

Ginny giggled as she managed to jump forward away from Milikan's tail end, but in the process landed in mud that splashed up against her legs, exposed stomach and arms as she continued to run without a care in the world.

Milikan even accidentally slithered through the mud, even after seeing her amazing best friend sprint through it, and silently cursed herself.

When she looked ahead, Ginny was sitting on a log, covered in even more mud, as it looked like she had fallen down in a mud puddle. She looked a little embarrassed to be seen like this by her best friend.

Milikan reached her, eyed her up to assess the situation and chuckled. Ginny frowned at her, "What's so funny, Milikan?" She gritted her teeth, thinking the snake was laughing at her due to being covered in mud.

It was then a foul smell reached her nostrils, a smell from the mud. It smelled like feces from one of the farm animals nearby, "Gross… Ginny, my friend, you need a bath…" When the redhead raised an eyebrow, Milikan confirmed what she said was true, "Please, Ginny go take a bath… Or no more playtime today." She said firmly with a pointed frown towards the dirty redhead.

Ginny smiled as she rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'll go take a bath..." She playfully rolled her eyes at her snake friend as she began to run into the house, before a thought hit her, and she turned back with a teasing smile, "Although if I'm going for one, you should take a bath too don't you think?"

"Me?" Milikan looked at her friend in surprise, "Ginny, your family-"

"Are going to be out for a while, Milikan; it's totally safe," Ginny cut her off with a reassuring smile.

"And you know this how?" Asked the snake, raising an eyebrow at her. Ginny simply tore a not off the door that read, "Ginny, we will be gone for a while. Your father and I needed to go to Diagon Alley with the boys to get a few things, and then go over to Aunt Muriel's for a while. We won't be back until later tonight, so be good."

Ginny actually didn't know how long they would be gone, and even got more excited at the thought of her best friend being around all day.

Milikan does her best imitation of a shrug and answered with a simple, "Fair enough. Lead the way."

She led her into the house, and Milikan loved how cozy everything looked as she slithered up the stairs, "This is my room, by the way." Milikan was startled at the sudden voice of her friend but smiled when looking in and saw a lot of posters. Ginny smiled, seeing her friend impressed with her room.

They crossed the hall to the bathroom and Ginny got a towel out of the cupboard, placed it on the floor before turning the level to a semi hot temperature. After it filled up to near the rim, Milikan slithered the parts of her body that mud covered into the tub.

She smiled as she waited for Ginny to enter, but noticed how a floorboard creaked, and Ginny was out in the hall about to enter her room.

Milikan tilted her head to the left, "And where are you going?"

Ginny froze in the doorway to her room and responded, "I was... Going to wait for you-" Ginny began.

"Why?" Milikan asked, "It's not like I take up that much room; we can share this bath."

Ginny's face heated up with a dark blush, "B-but- I mean- I won't- I'll be naked-" Said the girl, trying to come up with an excuse.

"So?" Milikan smiled at her, "It's not like I ever wear clothing, you know; why make such a big deal about it?"

"Bu-but I-I-I can't… It'll be weird for you…" She said, trying to deny that Milikan asked her to enter.

"Ginny," Milikan looked firmly at the girl, "You're filthy, I'm filthy, and we can both get clean much more quickly if we deal with it together; just stop talking and get in the bath."

"...Alright, 'Mistress'," Ginny shook her head even as she smiled teasingly at the snake. The removal of her clothes took an extra few seconds due to the knot in her shirt for having her belly exposed, but Ginny had soon taken all her clothes off.

She got into the bath and began to use soap on the areas needed, while Milikan ran a coil through Ginny's hair to get the mud out of there as well.

"Can you stop trying to dodge my coil from straightening your hair, Ginny? Said Milikan in frustration as Ginny kept wincing and trying to dodge the coil.

Ginny relented as she dropped the tension in her body and relaxed, "Fine… 'Mistress' I'll stop." She smiled shyly for making her frustrated. Ginny saw a thoughtful expression come on her face, wondering if she thought this was going to be a regular occurrence. Though, Milikan just smiled and rolled her eyes as she continued cleaning her red hair.

After a few minutes, Milikan coiled around Ginny's stomach and lifted her out of the water, "W-what? Whoa…" Ginny shouted as Milikan began to fly her around like a plane, and since Ginny was smiling and giggling, Milikan knew she liked it. She kicked her legs a little, but that was it.

A thought came over Ginny as Milikan set her down in the water, but didn't remove the coil from around her stomach, 'Wow… This feels so amazing...' She thought with a smile as she splashed lightly on Milikan's face, making the snake look at her with a frown.

Milikan brought her face closer to Ginny, a smirk growing on her face as she grew closer, until they were forehead to forehead, "You like that don't you, huh? Well, I can make an even bigger splash. Do you want to get this entire room wet and have to explain to your parents why everything in here is soaked?" Challenged the snake with a wicked smirk.

Ginny's brown eyes widened, her mouth agape at the threat, "Y-You wouldn't?" Milikan chuckled as she nodded, "Oh, but I would." She winked at her before pulling back with a serious face before she couldn't take it anymore and began to laugh.

Ginny relaxed as she rolled her eyes, "Not funny." Though, a hint of amusement in her voice was found.

Milikan continued trying to get the mud out of the girl's hair, and was having a lot of success for the most part. Ginny helped out too, since she had gotten the mud off of the other parts of her body.

At the end, when everything seemed to be clean, Milikan told her to get out and dry off.

"Haha 'yes mistress'..." Laughed the girl as Milikan whacked her tail lightly against her back. Ginny giggled as she ran into her room with the towel wrapped around her upper body.

She came out a few minutes later with shorts on and her shirt tied up above her stomach, and the two went downstairs to play and chat.

Although she didn't say anything about it, Ginny was surprised to notice a strange sensation in her stomach every time she responded to one of Milikan's requests/commands with a teasing 'Yes, Mistress'. She still said no to a few suggestions, such as when Milikan asked about seeing her parents' room- Ginny wasn't confident about being able to hide any signs of their presence, particularly when she couldn't be sure when the family would return- but by nightfall, when her family finally returned, Ginny was surprised to find herself acknowledging just how… normal it felt to use that term.

She laid in bed that night wondering what the future may hold for the both of them before falling asleep on the cold December night.

February 1989

"Valentine's Day is here, Molly." Said Arthur in a seductive and low tone as he gripped his wife around the waist.

"Oh…" Molly sighed, leaning back into him, "I can hardly wait, dear." Purred the Weasley matriarch. Arthur growled like a predator with a hint of amusement in his voice.

Ginny, sitting at the kitchen table witnessing her parents acting like this, covered her eyes with a loud groan, "Not now… Not this early…" Ginny was not a morning person, especially if the first interaction of the morning was of her parents talking to one another like an early married couple.

Ginny soon left the room to go back up to her room for some quick shut up eye again, except a surprise was waiting for the little redhead when she arrived in her room and shut the door, "Well hello sleepy head." Said an amused voice.

Suddenly, Ginny wasn't at all tired anymore, it was like it was all sapped out of her just by the sound of that beautiful voice, "Milikan." Ginny said, running over to her bed and hugging the snake. "H-Happy Valentines D-Day…" She said shyly, rubbing a foot along the floor, arms behind her back with a blush on her cheeks.

What was Valentine's Day, and what was the significance of it that made Ginny blush? Milikan didn't know, but it must make Ginny happy if she is blushing like that.

Unbeknownst to the snake, Ginny over the last couple of months has been thinking about their relationship. It had started out as an occasional joke, but the more she referred to Milikan as 'Mistress' in response to her friend's intermittent commands, the more Ginny became somewhat interested in making that joke an 'official' title.

Ginny thought it over, in theory it could work and be fun, but the challenge was to find the right way to present it to the snake.

Milikan then asked her with confusion, "Do you mind telling me what exactly this… Valentine's Day is Ginny?" Ginny nodded and went into an explanation of how it is pretty much about people celebrating their love for others, and Milikan seemed intrigued with her facial expression from Ginny's point of view.

Milikan then said as she kissed Ginny on the cheek, "Want to go to the river, teach you how to swim, and then just hang out?" Ginny cocked her head to the left, wondering why she wanted to teach her to swim.

Ginny wanted to swim, but also wanted to just hang out instead of learning something new, but agreed and soon put on a light red one piece swimsuit that Milikan liked since it was red like the hair of her friend.

Milikan slipped a coil around her waist, knowing her parents were still downstairs and could see them, Milikan had Ginny open her window further for the both of them to slip through. The snake then leaped off the roof onto a nearby tree, Ginny grabbed onto the branch to not just hang there limply.

They then climbed down the tree quickly, then walked down the path to the river, chatting animatedly about what today could possibly bring for couples out there while Ginny thought about what it could have been like to be dating Harry Potter right now, even as another part of her thinking about the crazy thought she had earlier.

Later that day, a successful swim lesson over, Ginny sat in her one-piece swimsuit coiled up by Milikan, both were so happy for their accomplishment today that Ginny was blushing when Milikan congratulated her several times.

Ginny then looked at the ground and smiled bashfully, running a foot through the dirt, trying to find the words, "Can… I ask you a question, Milikan?" Here goes nothing. What could go wrong?

The snake mumbled to let her know she was listening. Ginny brought her hand up to scratch the back of her head as she started, "We… Have been friends for a while now, you stopped me feeling bored when I wasn't included in activities, soothed me when I was sad, and or angry, hung out with me even though you didn't have to and have just been a great constant in my life. I don't deserve you…" She trailed off, looking at the mid-afternoon sun.

Milikan turned Ginny's face back to look her in the eye, "Yes, you do deserve me Ginny. Our friendship… I don't know how to describe it."

Ginny gave a shy smile, "It's amazing, isn't it, Milikan?" The snake nodded her head, and then Ginny asked what she thought wouldn't ever leave her lips.

"I-I-I feel like we should have a change in our friendship." She said. There, it was said, and all she had to do was propose her idea to the snake coiled around her.

Milikan's eyes grew wide, jaw wide, looking alarmed and then Ginny said, "You obviously aren't a pet… I mean, you are so unique, intelligent… and powerful for that matter." Milikan seemed to gradually grow less tense over the time of that sentence, "The times you order me around often leave me with chills going up my spine… but it's always in a good way…" Ginny said, her words faltering as she wasn't sure how to properly express herself. "You're so special to me, and I feel like we should be something more than just friends, Milikan…" Ginny trailed off, running her fingers through her hair to try and calm herself.

"Ginny, what are you saying, exactly, dear?" Millikan asked.

Looking at her friend, Ginny swallowed. 'Here goes nothing…'

"Milikan… you can't be my pet, and as incredible as you are, you deserve more than to just be my friend… I want to be your servant, follow your orders, and know that I have done something right to please you. I don't want that joking title of Mistress I gave you to go to waste. I want that title to be real… I want you to be my mistress… If you'll be alright with that?" She asked, fearfully hugging her knees and looking down.

After a few moments, Milikan said, "Look me in the eyes… Servant." Ginny's head shot up so fast it was a blur to the snake and the girl saw the snake smiling, "Quite brave to ask that… But sure, let's do it and see how it works…"

Before she could even finish that sentence, Ginny tackled her in a hug, squealing like a girl on her wedding, "Yeeesssss…" She shed a tear due to how happy she was, "I'm so happy… Mistress…" She bit her lip with a blush.

"And I too… servant," Millikan said, before she pulled back to look seriously at Ginny. "So long as you understand something important."

"What?" Ginny asked, joy replaced by anxiety.

"That you are not 'just' a servant," Millikan said, her tail reaching out to stroke Ginny's hair and forehead. "You have chosen to give me the gift of your service… and in return, I promise that you shall be a treasured and valued servant. You have asked me to be your Mistress, and in return, I promise that I shall never abuse your service; if there is anything I ask of you that you don't wish to do, simply tell me 'No' and I will accept that. Agreed?"

"Yes," Ginny whispered, feeling overwhelmed at how swiftly Milikan had proven herself even more deserving of her service in Ginny's eyes. "Thank you… M-Mistress?"

"Thank you, Ginny," Millikan replied in turn.

Hours later, dinner would be ready soon and Milikan looked up at the setting sun, and to the sleeping Ginny in her coils smiling cheerfully and woke her up, "Ginny dear… You need to get home…" Luckily, Ginny had brought a change of clothes with her, so she wouldn't arrive back home in just a one-piece bathing suite.

Ginny woke up, stretched and said cheerfully, "Ok, Mistress. See you tomorrow." She ran off waving.

Milikan shook her head in amusement, "The next great adventure is just beginning…"

August 1989

"HAPPY EIGHTH BIRTHDAY…" Shouted the twins, barging into their little sister's room. Ginny screamed as she launched off her bed like a cartoon character from their dad's muggle TV in the shed near the front of the house.

"We got her, Fred."

"We got her, George." Both of the twins were smirking as they did a fist bump, their sister frowning up at them tiredly.

"Bat. Bogey." Those two words caused the twins to freeze, staring at each other with looks of fear on their identical faces, "Retreat is the best option…"

"Indeed…" They soon ran from the room, followed by their mother poking her head in, "We're going to Aunt Muriel's for most of the day to plan something for your birthday party this evening, so you can't come." Molly smiled as she came in and hugged her only daughter, "Your eighth birthday… You have grown up so fast…" She gushed.

Ginny rolled her eyes, and groaned as she climbed back into bed. Molly laughed as she and the rest of the family left for Aunt Muriel's.

Ginny sighed in annoyance from the twins' prank, but soon smiled as she considered a certain private matter she had come up with for today. Ever since she had 'officially' become Milikan's servant, Ginny had learned that she had been right about just how much of a thrill it was to be that close to the amazing snake, knowing that the most remarkable individual she had ever met thought Ginny was worth so much time and devotion. There had been a few moments of 'conflict', of course, such as when Milikan had suggested that Ginny could just come and live with her in the wild, but when Ginny had rejected that suggestion and made it clear that she would stay with her family, Millikan had accepted her refusal and let the matter drop.

Still… there was one thing Ginny felt she could give her Mistress that she was fairly sure the snake would like...

An hour later, Milikan slithered in through the open window of her servant's bedroom, except there was something wrong, the room was completely devoid of Ginny. Slithering cautiously out into the hall, the snake heard humming coming from downstairs, and slowly made her way down, taking care in case it turned out to be Molly Weasley.

But as she entered the kitchen, she smiled when she saw Ginny sitting at the table eating pancakes.

"Hello, Ginny dea-" Ginny turned around right as she said hello, and the words caught in the snake's throat at seeing Ginny was… Naked… Why?

"Ginny dear…" Milikan looked uncertainly at her servant. "Where are your clothes?"

"I didn't put any on, Mistress."

"You didn't?"

"I just… well, why bother?" Ginny smiled at her. "I mean, I won't do it when anyone else is here, of course, but it's just you and me, and you already share so much with me…"

She paused, blushing slightly, before she finished. "And, well… I like it when you coil around me during our baths, and when you wrap your tail around my tummy when we're flying, so if you're alright with it… why should we have any barriers between us if we don't have to? Like you said, you're always naked; if it doesn't bother you, why should it bother me?"

Milikan was still unsure, but it didn't take long for her to agree to Ginny's 'proposition'. As Ginny had said, she was only going to do this with her, and Milikan would never abuse that trust or let anyone else see Ginny in this manner.

They spent the day playing games inside and, surprisingly enough, outside the Burrow where the stark naked Ginny (albeit with shoes on) ran around the Burrow, trying to avoid Milikan as they were playing tag.

Soon lunch came, and Milikan saw her eating a pre-made lunch from the cold box that humans use to store a lot of food in.

"What are you eating, birthday girl?" Milikan asked sticking her head up above the table to see, it looked delicious though, "Muggle pizza…" Ginny said as she took a bit, "Mm, it's so good. Want a bite, Mistress Milikan?" Said the girl, holding out a slice for the snake to eat.

The snake loved it so much that she wanted, no needed, more, and so she swiped it out of Ginny's hand. That left them both laughing as they started to play games again.

Later that day, Ginny was dressed in time for her father and Bill to come and get her to head over to Aunt Muriel's. There was a surprise party and all her family and two friends, which only consisted of Luna Lovegood and another young witch by the name of Maggie Gordie. Everyone had a hell of a time, even Milikan who snuck there, and when Ginny had time, would hang out with.

The party was a big success for the group.

However, the next year, a tragedy struck in Ginny's life. A few short days after her ninth birthday, Milikan stopped coming by to hang out. Ginny spent the first week or so hoping that Milikan was just preparing some new surprise, but once it became clear that her Mistress had truly vanished, Ginny just broke down. Her family all tried to help, but without knowing the source of her depression, none of them had any idea how to help her beyond giving her space.

'Where are you, Mistress Milikan? Why haven't you come?' She thought as she cried, 'I'll never forget you…'

However, two years later, that very thought contradicted her.

June 1993

When she was taken to the hospital wing, Ginny barely paid attention to the talk of a celebratory feast in a couple of hours. She was just saved from the Chamber of Secrets.

She couldn't believe she'd been so stupid; she could have gotten Harry killed… It was only through a series of lucky chances that nobody else had died over the last few months… And now everyone was just being so forgiving? Harry… Merlin, Harry had looked like he'd been dragged down a cliff and then attacked by half a dozen crabs, and he'd still tried to stop in earlier to see if she was all right?

How could he still be concerned about her after she'd been so stupid as to trust Tom? Had she really been so desperate for someone to care about her that she'd just… Latched on to even a weird source of 'comfort' like that diary? Tom had used her to attack innocent people… And that basilisk…

Ginny shuddered in the bed, trying to force the memories to the back of her mind. She'd never let herself be fooled by someone talking about how he 'cared' while making her do all his dirty work, and as for the basilisk itself…

She hoped she'd never be that close to another snake again.

She was so focused on kicking herself for being such an idiot that Ginny didn't even think about the old friend she'd last seen over two years ago, memories of the comfort and support she'd received from her mistress forgotten in the face of the pain she'd so nearly inflicted on innocent people at the hands of another who'd made himself her master…

Ginny would put the worst of the memories aside after seeing Hermione, Colin and Penelope awake again inspired her to get up and join the feast, but the dreamless sleep potions she would rely on over the last couple of weeks of term would reinforce her attempts to forget everything associated with her childhood friend as well as her close calls with Riddle's diary.

March 2008

"What the fuck? S-snake…" Ginny nearly screamed, seeing a purple snake in her office. She looked fearful, shocked and then angry. It was then she remembered, 'I'm a witch. Why am I acting like this?'

The snake looked up at her in wonder, and a few fuzzy memories flashed before her eyes, though she ignored them as she pulled out her wand and uttered, "I have the advantage this time." She said, giving a grin. The catastrophe involving the Chamber of Secrets may have been years ago, though it still haunted Ginny to this very day, nightmares every other month. Thankfully, they started dying down.

Her smirk was terrifying and Ginny knew this intruding snake was beginning to have a sense of fear, noticing its yellow eyes widen. The large, 25-foot long, yellow eyed purple reptile began to slither away faster from her towards the open window.

"You want to go outside, huh?" Asked the woman now blocking the snake's exit, "No no no. You aren't going back outside. With your size, you could stick around and harm my children." That tone she used definitely looked to be scaring the intruding snake as the reptile began to go backward towards the now closed door, preventing any escape route, Ginny even shut the window.

A flash of lightning streaked across the cloudy sky, thunder shook the house as rain pelted the window outside. The redhead noticed how the snake shook with fear when the lightning flashed, "What? Afraid of a little thunderstorm?" Said the woman with a little concern, though not much.

As she stepped forward, Ginny grinned as she reached out her hand to get a hold of this creature before it could get away, or worse, harm her or the kids when they returned from the Burrow.

The snake dodged the hand, eyes widening in fear as it slithered for the safe space under the desk.

Ginny's anger then rose as she withdrew her wand, "I see… I guess I have to go with my original plan." Slight regret laced her tone that she was going to hurt this animal before she remembered how dangerous it could be.

Ginny lunged forward, flicking her wand toward the snake, chanting, "STUPIFY." The spell fired and nearly missed the snake by an inch due to that reptile lifting a coil up into the air, avoiding the spell, as if this snake knew what it was.

Hitting the ground once again with a smack, the snake ducked for cover under a cauldron, though it wasn't big enough to hide her under. It wasn't any of Ginny's concerns as she fired another spell that dinged off the side of the cauldron, leaving a blast mark. The snake was left wide-eyed as it moved frantically to the other end of the room.

Seeing that this intruding reptile just wouldn't give up, Ginny growled before she frowned and her wand at the snake again, following its path, before a victorious smirk appeared on her face.

Ginny pointed her wand at the female snake intruder ready to fire a more deadly curse when the snake dove behind the in office couch, "You won't escape me snake. Reducto" Her eyes widened in satisfaction as the carefully low-powered spell only rocked the furniture, instead leaving it in a waste like what she had expected, based on what happened in the Department of Mysteries back in her fourth year.

When the snake poked its head out from behind the beige colored couch, Ginny squinted her eyes in suspicion, wondering what it was up to, as a memory flashed of her doing the exact same thing when under Tom's possession in her first year trying to lead the basilisk places.

Ginny shook her head as the snake made a run for it during the momentary distraction.

The redhead jumped in front of her, "Nuh uh. Where you do you think you are going? She said as she reached down and grasped the neck of the snake.

"Hssss…" The snake seemed to hiss in pain and suddenly, something Ginny thought could never happen in the history of like… Ever… Actual words came out of the snake's mouth.

"Gi-Ginny spare me please…?" Ginny narrowed her eyes, not at all surprised that this snake could speak due to what she thought it was.

"How do you know my name?" She was beginning to believe this was an old agent of Tom's, and so she squeezed around the snake's neck harder than before.

Smiling, the snake said something that rocked her whole world and made her drop the snake and crash into the sofa behind her.

"It's me Ginny… It's Mistress Milikan..." Suddenly, the memories she kept repressed due to the chamber came spilling back out, filling Ginny with joy, sadness and awe. Her knees buckled as Ginny grabbed the snake in a tight hug, suddenly sobbing as a surge of long-repressed memories flooded through her mind.

"There there," Millikan said, patting Ginny comfortingly on the back of the head, "Let it out, dear."

"I… I missed you, Mistress," Ginny said tearfully, shoulders shaking from the sobs as the snake's tail rubbed her back, "I don't know what happened to you. I looked everywhere, but just couldn't find you."

"It's fine, Ginny," Millikan said, tenderly cradling the young woman in her coils, once again showing the compassion and concern that had won Ginny over so many years ago, "We're together now… That's what matters."

Ginny felt as though there was so much more that she and her returned Mistress had to talk about right now, but the emotional whiplash of this reunion suddenly seemed to hit her all at once, prompting a loud yawn as Ginny stepped back.

"Mi-Mistress…" she said, wondering if she was pushing her luck after her earlier behavior, "C-Can I sleep…?"

As she stretched her arms up, Millikan swiftly slid off her jacket, socks and shoes, and soon had the redheaded girl wrapped in her warm coils.

"Y-yay…" Ginny whispered, suddenly overwhelmed by fatigue and the joy of an old experience returned to her, "I get to sleep… I-in the coils of my… M-Mistress..."

She vaguely registered Milikan move her tail to shut a window and keep the cold air out, but Ginny's only concern was snuggling down in her Mistress's coils, barely opening her eyes as the snake kissed her freckled cheek.

"Go to sleep Ginny," Millikan giggled in response to her sleepy smile, "I'll wake you later. Please dear?" Ginny was briefly aware of Milikan taking her to the small couch near the door, before they both laid down on the bed, "Sweet dreams sweetheart. I hope we'll have fun later."

With her eyes shut tight, Ginny let out a barely audible mumble of, "Yes… My… Mistress...", making the snake smile lovingly as she giggled before dozing off, looking forward to how her life would unfold with the result of her old friend and Mistress.

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

After a long night of sex with Harry, then having dreams of her past with Milikan, Ginny woke up with a big yawn, "Errugh…" She noticed how her breast was hanging out of her shirt that she haphazardly put on last night, due to feeling a chill from a currently-jammed window and the knowledge that Harry would likely be leaving early the next morning.

'Merlin… Harry, you are most literally a god. The way you make me feel when…' She blushed in thought, before a yellow note on her night stand caught her eye, and she went to go read it.

'Hey Ginny dear, I left early for work and took the kids to your parents. You looked so adorable in your sleep, I didn't dare wake you. I love you so much. See you tonight. Kiss kiss.'

Ginny hummed in enjoyment, "That man…" She placed a hand against her heart as it began beating rapidly, "I love him… So, so much…" The emotion in her voice sounded as if she was tearing up.

"Oh, Ginny, you are awake. Good timing too. I thought I was going to have to wake you up." Said an amused feminine voice from the edge of the bed. Ginny jumped with a start, and saw the snake from her dreams laying on the bed smiling at her.

Turning away, Ginny put her hands to her face as she began to sob. Milikan looked on in horror as she didn't see spirals fill the girl's eyes…

Today was going to be a long day of explanations...
