An original Story!
"Thank you." It was an easy thing to smile the Bartender, even though glancing through her mind made it clear she had a thing for Niklaus Mikelson. Her agitation and pain was clear, he could taste it on her, radiating from every corner of her pure soul.
Her smile in return was rushed but genuine even as she hurried to another patron, one he knew by sight to be Genevieve, a long dead witch killed by Rebekah's treachery. He had taught her, though he doubted she would remember his face. A perk of the many spells had layered over himself over the centuries of his long life.
There was a rush of negative energy entering the bar as Kieran himself entered the restaurant. He approached them as she poured tea for his old student.
Cami, irritated, spoke up. " I'm busy."
Kiernan sighed. "Cami, just hear me out. "
"You know, I came to your reopening because I wanted to try and make amends. Then I see you talking with Klaus, out in the open, like it's business as usual in the Quarter.
"It is business as usual. For the past three centuries, the O'Connells have always tried to keep the peace."
It took everything not to laugh, knowing full the history of the O'Connells and their hypocrisy. Many had been as corrupt as Klaus or the witches, he would know since he had slept with a great many of them.
Cami didn't seem to buy it. "Save me the family history. It's all lies on top of lies."
"Cami, pour me a drink. I have to tell you something.
It was then that the Watcher noticed that the man's hands are shaking so badly he nearly spills it as he drinks it.
"Uncle Kieran, what's wrong?"
Kiernan sighed. " I'm in trouble. What happened to your brother Sean is about to start happening to me."
Immediately the watcher turned, looking and seeing a familiar black x on Kiernan's palm. He knew what it meant, it was a hex made under Kol's instruction. It was a devastating, evil thing.
"What?"
"I've... I've been hexed. And I don't know how long I have."
"Wait. I know some people. There has to be some sort of... I don't know, antidote or..."
"Cami, I need you to promise me one thing. When it gets bad, I need you to be as far away from me as possible."
"No. No! There has to be some sort of way."
It was then that his old student stood. " Of course there is. If you want to save your uncle's life, all you have to do is take this- "From within her shirt she pulled out a familiar looking blade, one oozing dark magic on a terrifying scale. She placed it on the bar. "—- and make sure it ends up in Klaus Mikaelson's heart."
The Watcher had enough and reached over, grabbing Kiernan's hand.
"What are you-" Kiernan tried to pull away but the Watcher was too strong, holding tight as he blew on the x. Slowly, with some pain he imagined, the damned thing faded away entirely.
"There, your done. Your free... now, tell me Gennie Girl, how did you get a hold of Papa Tunde's blade and why is it filled with such dark magic?"
The Redhaired witch gasped, looking at the Watcher. "Gennie girl but only... no... it's not possible... Henry? You... how are you alive?"
"Have been for a millennia plus a few." Smiling, Henry ignored the two mortals. " Tell me, why would you tolerate such an evil curse being placed onto someone who's only crime is saving a child from having their throat slit. The Gennie girl I knew wouldn't have tolerated such evil." Henry grabbed the knife, shuddering under the weight of it's evil power. " Now, again, why?"
Genevieve shuddered. "I... I am sorry, but the Anscestors they... they... I..."
" I get it... tell your sister disciple, the lovely Celeste, that I will be coming for her. Not to kill her but to talk. She was always my best student, as were you my love."
The women flushed but nodded as she hurried out of the bar, leaving him alone with the two O'Connells.
Cami asked first. " Who are you?"
"You might know me better as Henrik Mikaelson? No?" He saw the horror and shock in her eyes.
"But wolves killed you.'
He laughed. " I got over it... now, be a good girl and tell my brothers and dear Rebekah that I am alive and well and am looking forward to seeing them soon. Do this and I will ensure that that lovely hex never touches your clan again. Savvy?" Not waiting for an answer, he teleported away, landing comfortably in his spelled home. " It is good to be home... just hope they don't ruin it for me... who am I kidding, of course they are, they ruin everything. Idiot the lot of them. "
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was fun and I rarely write an intentionally OP Character...
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
