This was a fun idea that popped into my head, enjoy!

I never understood why Dudley didn't have magical kids, it would have been awesome!

Audrey wasn't like her family, she was... different. For one she didn't hate the poor, or disabled, criminals, anyone with disabilities or differences... she enjoyed art and imagination and fun. She hated bias and bigotry. She aimed to be a social worker and leave the world better than when she left it. However more than all of that she did not hate Harry Potter anymore, not like she had before she turned seven. That alone made her entirely different than her family.

What had changed you might ask? She couldn't tell you, odd as that sounded, it was an epiphany but a slow one... that came in pieces. It first happened when to burst open a locket at school when the lock broke... without even touching it. Then she made a mean girl's milk carton explode, a teacher's pen burst, and the fire alarm go off when a teacher was being rude to her. All within a week. She knew it was her, the anger she felt and the meanness of her thoughts, the focus she had... it all made too much sense. She doubted it at first, and then... she learned that she could do things intentionally.

She could make flowers bloom in the garden, which she did when she plucked a few for her room. She could feel when it was going to rain or snow or have a dry spell. it was a tingle in the back of her mind. She couldn't always control it but most of the time she could and it was brilliant... however that power, it changed her.

'Mom and Dad would hate me for this... call me a freak!' She realized almost immediately, a life time of abuse towards Harry had made that clear to her... and so slowly, over the course of years, she started to question everything until one day she was a person she was proud of! She looked back at her old self with shame, but realized she was a product of a crappy childhood. She lost a lot of love for her parents and pitied her idiot twin Dudley, who was too thick to change.

She never shared her thoughts though... She just stopped being mean to Harry, stopped joining in in Harry Hunting, declaring that she was busy with her studies... She was afraid of becoming treated like Harry, something that... filled her daily. However life only got more painful for her and better in a way. She really was studying extra and got ahead in school, top of her class easily. Her parents mocked educated people but loved her for it, praising her constantly... that chipped away at her view of them and their views until... well it remade her into a better person...

She had a new goal... to become a social worker, to help people against her parents... she was going to leave her parents when she became an adult and never see them again... only Harry would she stay in contact with... only he deserved it.

Speaking of, though she was too afraid to help him directly, she often helped in secret... offering to do chores rarely making any mess, and always cleaning up after herself. She would block Harry Hunting by bothering Dudely about his grades and getting into a row with him about it. Anything to help, no matter how minor... she had to care for herself first and foremost...

Who knew what her parents would do to her... she had seen their mistreatment of Harry, who was their orphaned nephew. Would they show her mercy as a freak? She doubted it...

She really did...

Alas, as she would discover very shortly, only in a few weeks... her entire life would take a very different direction and she would have to reshape her life to make a clear path that she could be proud of.

A hard task for anyone... but if anyone could deal with it, it was Audrey Jane Dursley! She was a survivor if nothing else... and she would thrive no matter what the world threw at her...
