New Rules for this story, don't make him kiss Danny's butt or reveal all his secrets to Danny so early. I want him to open up naturally, not all at once.

"Lux!" Raith proclaimed, and before his eyes a soft pink light gathered in his hand, drawing in from the world around him. Eventually, it formed a small ball, the size of a marble, and floated into the air. "Gods I am awesome..." Flexing his fingers, he watched as the magic rose into the air and expanded, filling his bedroom with it's potent light. Satisfied, he released his grip on the magic and the light snuffed out. Smiling, he lowered his body to the ground, no longer levitating. "I am really getting the hang of this magic thing."

Proud he turned and grabbed his grimoire from his bed. It was a thin leather-bound tome that looked rather unassuming to most, but within it held secrets of magic long lost to most humans. He had found it by accident, just a month prior and boy was he happy that he found it. Amity park was a hell hole filled with hauntings! Over the last month give or take, there had been over a hundred and twelve incidents of ghostly assault and misconduct. People's bodies and properties were being destroyed left and right. No one could pinpoint the upturn in crime, but he could.

He had seen it first hand, Ghosts shaped like blobs, possessing and attacking people. It was terrifying, and he had seen it more than once. Unable to do anything about it, he sought out the first thing that came to mind... magic! He looked in book stores, libraries, and even online. To his shock, he found a book, a grimoire in a local library. It was in the mythology and pagan section. He bought it with his allowance and boom, he got it.

To be entirely honest, it was not something he expected would work, but opening the book he cast the first spell he found and it actually worked. Of course, he passed out, but hey,... that was proof it had worked. From that point he started to practice every day after school, learning over a dozen spells all in pursuit of one thing...

Freedom.

From Ghosts and the Fear they brought to the town he was stuck in. He would never allow them to rule his life and fill him with the fear that they cast across the world. He would do all he could to ensure that he had the means and power to protect himself and those few he gave a damn about.

He refused to give in to that fear, and he refused to be powerless any longer.

He was Raith and he would thrive despite beings in the world trying to undo any chance of peace and progress.

But, until he was good enough to fight against the ghosts... it was time for school.

Dressed in comfortable jeans and a black hoodie, he hurried away and made his way to school.

'You got this Raith, just get through the day and start practice when you get home... all will be well.'
