Authors Note: Hello again readers! Finally an update!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your patience and understanding. You are the best readers a writer could ask for.

I took a little longer than I planned too with this update, so that I could get out more than 2-3 Chapters. I'm hoping it won't take me as long to update next time, but no guarantees.

Anyway, I'll shut up so you can read! lol

Chapter 113: Cowboy Time

Two days later…

After another two days off, the boys and I took to the road again for our next lockdown in Tombstone, Arizona – which was an eight hour drive from Vegas.

Needless to say, the eight hour drive was pretty brutal. Between the long stretches of nothing but desert landscape to see, Aaron acting like his crazy self when he wasn't sleeping, Aaron and Zak both Snapchatting their silliness, I thought I was going to lose my mind. Although, I had to admit, it was entertaining at times, and I took part in the silliness too.

For some part of the trip, I spent time looking over my social media accounts on my phone – mainly Twitter – to see how the feedback was about the premiere of the new "Ghost Adventures" season, and obviously my first debut on the show.

To my relief, a good majority of the feedback was positive, and people were pleased that I had been added to the show. I used the free time to respond to as many fans as I could, thanking them for their support, and answering a wide range of questions from "what's your favourite colour?" to "what's it like working with the guys?" It was a little overwhelming when some of the fans reacted to me replying to them, as if Zak himself had replied to them, but it was also flattering.

But with positive feedback, there's always a hefty dose of negative feedback as well, which stemmed mainly from female fans. Some of them were critical of certain things about me: things I did, or how I looked, but the main comment I seemed to receive was a variety of ways of the fans saying "Zak is mine!" It was pretty easy to ignore most of the negative feedback, although a few tweets here and there bothered me a bit. Whenever I started to feel bothered by a comment, I tried to keep in mind what Zak and Cheryl had told me over the past few days – these girls were probably just jealous.

After I had killed time on my phone, I sat looking out my window, watching the landscape fly by. However, that didn't last long, because I suddenly had one of my "episodes" of psychic artistry.

When I had pulled out my sketch book and began sketching like crazy, I had ended up waking Aaron from his sleep, and then he let out of yelp of shock before he clued in to what was going on. I hadn't know at the time, but Aaron's sudden yelp had caused Billy to nearly go off the road. Billy and Zak had immediately started giving Aaron shit, until Aaron spoke over the both of them to tell them about me. Zak had immediately demanded that Billy pull over to the side of the road.

Thankfully, we had been on a fairly deserted highway out in the desert, and so they didn't have to worry about people stopping to see what was going on. Zak had gotten out of the SUV and opened the back door on my side, so he was right there with me the whole time. He was the first person I saw when I snapped out of my latest episode.

After taking a few minutes to gather my composure and my surroundings, we all looked at the drawings together, Billy leaning back to look from the front seat.

The first drawing had actually made us laugh. It was a drawing of Aaron, dressed in full on cowboy gear, and clearly locked behind bars. It looked like he was in jail. Aaron had sarcastically muttered a comment something along the lines of "oh great, sent off on my own again, and locked in, I'm guessing", which caused all of us to laugh.

The second drawing had us all concerned, as it was an ambulance parked in front of one of the buildings on the Main Street in Tombstone, with the lights going. There wasn't one person in the drawing, so we had no idea what to make of it.

The third drawing was two women in a large room, with a white orb floating above them. We couldn't tell who the women were, because the room they were in was dark, and they were drawn more in the background of the picture. They did look to be wearing western style dresses though.

All in all, these bunch of drawings were probably the least stressful of all the ones I'd done so far, which was a bit of a relief, but the ambulance drawing would haunt my thoughts – and probably the thoughts of the others - until we knew the outcome of the scene.

The next day…

I woke up to the sound of the motel alarm clock beeping – telling me it was 6am - and groaned quietly, not ready to start the day. But I knew I had to get up, we had a long day ahead of us filled with wrapping up some interviews we had conducted yesterday after we had arrived, conducting new interviews today, and filming some reenactments, and then the lockdown itself. I reached over and hit the button to turn off the alarm and then forced myself into a sitting position and stretched out my arms and legs as I yawned quietly. My sleep hadn't been as great as I had hoped it would be, but I knew once I showered I'd be refreshed and ready to go.

Just as I got up off the bed, I heard the ringtone signalling a text had just come through to my phone, and I couldn't help but smile, knowing it was most likely Zak.

I picked up my phone from the night stand and made my way to the bathroom, opening up the messenger app as a I did so. Sure enough, Zak had just sent me a text.

"Good morning doll, just being a nosy boyfriend and checking to see if you had a good sleep"

I smiled at the words "nosy boyfriend" as I typed a reply.

"Good morning Bagans. My sleep could have been better, but I'm fine. Grabbing a shower and then getting dressed. We all meeting for breakfast?"

While I waited for Zak's reply, I opened one of the drawers in the low cabinet under the television and pulled out a fresh pair of panties and a bra, and also pulled out my cowboy attire for the day. I laid it out on the bed, and while holding my panties and bra under my arm, picked up my phone again when Zak replied.

"Shower? Need company? ;)"

I couldn't help but laugh. I never learned.

"No sir. :P Now please answer my question"

"Lol. Yes, we're gonna meet up at the restaurant here for breakfast. Meeting around 7:00"

"Alright, I'll see you at breakfast then"

"Okay"

Immediately after Zak sent that message, I saw the icon indicating he was typing again, and just knew he was asking about the shower again, so I sent a text first.

"No Bagans, go get your own shower"

I watched as the typing icon disappeared briefly, then reappeared, followed by Zak's reply.

"LOL! Damn…see you soon doll, muah!"

I couldn't help but laugh as I shook my head, and sent my own reply of a kissing sound.

"Muah!"

I set my phone down on the cabinet and then proceeded to the bathroom to get my shower.

Roughly forty minutes later…

There…this should suffice, I thought, as a I checked out my reflection in the full length mirror of the motel room.

After I showered and dried my hair, I got dressed in my cowboy attire for the day. I had gone shopping back in Vegas a couple of days prior to this trip in order to make sure I'd have everything I needed. I knew the guys were dressing up - mainly just wearing black cowboy outfits - so I went the same route.

I was now wearing a pair of black, boot cut jeans, with some faded grey patches, and with cross designs on the back pockets. Not wanting to get over heated in the desert sun, I paired the jeans with a simple black, spaghetti strap tank top. For the cowboy features, I had on a pair of black, faux leather cowboy boots, with some silver studs in an "X" pattern across the top. I also had a black belt loaded with silver studs and bling, and one or two silver crosses that matched the ones on my jeans. My cowboy hat was also black, with a black band around the top part of the hat that had silver studs and a silver cross in the front.

I did my makeup in my usual bare minimum style, and for fun, since I'd be a cowgirl for the day, I styled my hair into two, French braided pigtails, which I let hang down in front of my shoulders. My last finishing touch was the silver cross necklace Zak had given me.

Just as I had finished putting the necklace on and pocketed my phone, I heard a knock on my motel room door.

"Coming," I called, as I walked over to the door and glanced through the peephole. All I could see through the tiny hole was the brim of a black cowboy hat, hiding the person's face except for a familiar set of lips.

I smiled as I stepped back slightly and opened the door to see Zak dressed up in full cowboy attire, and I was momentarily speechless.

He was wearing a black cowboy hat, a black trench coat that he had left open to show he was wearing a white button down shirt, with a black vest over it. He had his usual black, baggy jeans on, and black cowboy boots. To accessorize the look, he had a triangular shaped scarf tied around his neck, a large belt buckle, and an actual brown leather gun holster, in which I could just see a small bit of the gun's handle sticking out from the top.

After regaining my composure from staring at him, I realized I had left him momentarily speechless too, as he was staring at me and looking me up and down like I was his favourite dessert.

I felt my face flush and Zak regained his composure as his eyes came back up to my face and he smiled at my shyness. He stepped into the room, letting the door shut behind him, and set his hands on my hips.

"Well, howdy ma'am," Zak said, doing his best to add a western twang to his voice, which caused me to giggle.

"Hello kind sir," I replied, doing my best to act the polite, respectable cowgirl as I reached up and rested my hands on his chest. Zak ending up laughing, along with a smile.

"How about we go for a ride?" Zak asked softly, as he pulled my body against his and I laughed quietly despite my embarrassment.

I moved my hands from his chest to rest on his arms, just above his elbows, as I looked up at him.

"I don't see any horses around," I replied, but instantly realized the trap I had walked into.

"Well, you know what they say…'save a horse, ride a cowboy'," Zak replied softly, before leaning down and planting a light kiss on my neck.

I laughed quietly, but had a smile on my face. He always made me feel beautiful and sexy, no matter how I looked or what I was wearing.

"You do realize that the last person who said that to me, just recently, was your mother," I replied, for badness.

"Eww, EWWW!" Zak cried, stepping back away from me, which caused me to laugh hysterically. "Why'd you have to go and say that?!" Zak whined, but was laughing now himself.

"Because we have a breakfast to get too, and then a long day ahead of us, you silly man," I said, laughing still as I stepped forward, wrapped my arms around him, and leaned up and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips.

He smiled, wrapping his arms around me, and before I could pull back, he tightened his arms around me.

"One more," Zak said, before leaning down and kissed me just as gently as I had him, but we lingered a bit longer this time.

After a moment or two passed, I forced myself to pull back before things started getting more intense and looked up at him.

"Come on cowboy, we gotta go," I said.

Zak sighed.

"Alright, alright," Zak replied, gently pulling back, but then bent one arm up for me to link my arm with his. "May I have the honour of escorting you to breakfast, ma'am?" Zak asked, adding his western twang to his voice again.

I laughed quietly as I linked my arm with his.

"You may, as long as you don't call me 'ma'am'," I replied, while Zak opened the motel room door.

Zak laughed and nodded as he led me out of the room and down the hall.

"Sure thing, sweetheart," Zak replied, still with his western accent.

I smiled from ear to ear as I walked with him down to the restaurant on the first floor of the two story motel.
