As everyone collectively stared at each other, both Hawks and Hikari couldn't help but stand with their mouths completely opening as they gazed upon the villain that had appeared out of nowhere. How the hell did he even get here in the first place?

Hawks' first response was to tighten his hold on his sister before internally panicking as Dabi only smirked at the display, a knowing look in his eyes as if to say..

I know you can't do shit right now, does that scare you?

And quite honestly yes, it scared him so incredibly beyond belief, so much so that the hero could even feel his own feathers twitch in anxiety at this very moment.

Dabi, I swear to god don't you dare even take another step forward. Don't make me choose between the mission and her, because I don't know what I'd do...

That little information was enough for the bird to completely stop his way of thinking. What would he do if it came down to that?

Because yes he loved his sister but if it was between the mission and her could he actually break the one thing he had been working towards for months? Could he have the courage to disobey the commission for his own selfish wishes?

No, he didn't think he could. And just the very thought made him disgusted with himself but that was the truth. He was a coward, plain and simple.

That meant that there was only option, to figure out a way to get out of this without blowing his cover. He had to, as a hero and as a spy. The commission taught him for these kinds of moments, he couldn't screw this up..

Although while all that was happening, Hikari only narrowed her eyes towards the purple skinned villain before listing a string of extremely colorful curse words in her head, hoping it would be enough for her to not blow up completely.

To say she was pissed was honestly an understatement. In fact, she could already feel her wings twitch under the suppression from the pedant on her neck, the object vibrating against her collarbone. She was so done with him. First the lying and now this..

What the hell are you doing here?! You're going to ruin everything, don't you know that?!

Yet one look from the villain himself told her everything she needed to know, Dabi smirking under his breath as he eyed her pink and white attire with an amused breath.

Nope, he didn't care..

Oh great, and now he's making fun of me. I'm never going to hear the end of it.

His cerulean gaze bore into hers before finally speaking, the man's arms lazily shoved into his pockets at the silence. "I didn't think I'd get this kind of reaction. What's wrong, hero got your tongue?"

Hikari resisted rolling her eyes at that little statement. Oh please, you knew exactly what you were doing, and now you're rubbing it in.

Feeling Hawks' arms twitch around her small frame, the bird replied evenly, trying to get the villain's attention off his sister and onto him. "Why are you here, Dabi?"

Her brother's expression was cloudy, almost like he was trying to hide his true feelings as the girl watched with interest.. He certainly seemed nervous, in one way or another.

Perhaps he could've fooled others with that tone but not Hikari. Nah, she knew that look anywhere, the one of fear.

Interesting Keigo, your reactions are quite telling. Didn't the commission teach you better than that?

And it seemed like the villain also read through his question, Dabi pushing his eyes back to Hikari with a sadistic smirk, knowing the very action got under Hawks' skin more than anything.

"I came for my high end, but what a surprise it certainly was to see number two like this. After that little display, I just knew I had to introduce myself, to the pretty little thing that made him so frazzled.."

Hikari had the urge to give him an ''are you fucking kidding me'' face before shaking her head as Hawks pushed his sister closer towards his chest a moment later.

"Ah sorry, but I'm going to have to stop this little meet and greet right there. I don't mean to disappoint but this little birdie needs some medical attention so maybe we can rain check for a different day.."

Turning towards the entrance, Hawks then took a single step before a wave of blue flame blocked their pathway a moment later, the hero cursing under his breath and the moment.

He knew he couldn't fight Dabi like this, especially with Hikari in his arms. The bird didn't have any feathers left after that battle with Endeavor and he didn't even know how badly she was hurt right now.

He didn't have the strength or the time to be dealing with Dabi right now.

The villains next words didn't bring him much comfort either. "You see, I wasn't asking. I walked all the way over here, I think I deserve an introduction, and I'd hurry or else I'll have to do it myself. Although if that's how you want it to be, that's fine with me, I don't mind making her scream for me.."

Hearing Hawks sharply intake a breath, Hikari knew he was probably freaking out, just like Dabi wanted him too. That idiot, her brother should've just given her to the villain, it's not like he cared about her. He really should've just saved his own ass like he did as children.

It was that stupid hero complex that was holding him back, wasn't it? How pathetic.

Knowing she'd be forced to speak, the blonde haired girl turned her head towards the man that was becoming a constant pain in her ass before slapping up her facade that would surely cause him to make fun of her later.

"I-I don't understand, what do you want with me? I don't even know you.."

Staring into his gaze, the girl couldn't help but wish he would understand the hidden intent behind her fragile little words, a glare internally stewing inside of her.

That's right you piece of shit, you're not supposed to know me, remember? Don't mess this up, get your attention off of me already..

Although just like she suspected, Dabi couldn't help but snort under his breath as the girl dropped her mouth open with unsaid annoyance before his half lidded gaze responded.

"That may be true Princess, but I gotta say I was slightly impressed watching you save those three kids, almost like a real hero..."

He was making fun of her again and Hikari was so close to snapping, the idea of calling her a hero making her absolutely sick. And he knew it, he knew that she hated that term more than anything else in this entire world. That's why he said it..

Thinking back to their conversation prior, the girl couldn't help but realize something else as she recalled telling him about her distaste for killing blindly, and he still didn't care, he still used her for his own amusement.

He was watching this entire time?! Are you actually kidding me, you did all of this just to see my reaction?! You knew I couldn't let those people die. Fuck you, you're so dead the next time we meet…

Although of course that's not what she responded with, the girl's voice coming out through gritted teeth, forcing herself to sound rather defeated and sad rather than the raging anger that was pouring through her body at the moment.

That's right, she had to sound weak, she had to make everyone think she wasn't good enough to be one of those shitty heroes. That's the only way her words will work and still have hidden intent.

"I'm not a hero…"

Her words seemed to wake Hawks up finally, the dejected nature in her tone causing the hero to internally panic with Dabi's next response.

"I don't know about that. And even if you aren't a hero you certainly are special to that little KFC bastard over there. I mean, he practically dropped everything to rescue the poor trapped maiden from the wreckage.."

Shit, that's right, he told Dabi that his sister meant nothing to him, that he didn't care what happened to her. Doing anything else now would just be going against his word, proving him untrustworthy. Shit Keigo, your so stupid..!

Shaking his head, the bird dug through his brain before finding an excuse that would hopefully work.

"That's right, she's just a civilian. I saved her because she was in trouble, that's all. You wouldn't understand but it comes with the job."

Tightening his hold even further, the bird than glared towards the man that he was supposed to be spying on before finishing blunt. "But even so, this birdie is my responsibility until she gets medical help so I won't let you touch her.."

That's right, you're not touching her, over my dead body. I know I dug myself a hole with my actions but I'll protect my baby sister with everything I have. Back off Dabi, or else..

Although the villain didn't seem too threatened, throwing his hands into his pockets with a shrug. "So self righteous. This is why I hate dealing with heroes, they are always so pretentious all the damn time…"

Hikari couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in her brother arms at that, wishing to be let down of her own two feet so she didn't have to feel so weak and stupid in front of her friend.

So much so that the girl leaned up towards her brother before whispering back sharply. "Kei-chan, I think I can stand now. You're nervous, aren't you? It's okay, you can put me down in case you have to fight that man.."

And that was honestly the last thing Hawks wanted, in fact he could feel his fingers death grip his sister after Dabi's words but she did have a point. If he did have to fight then the hero knew he couldn't do anything with her in his arms.

She would just get hurt even more if that happened. No, he had to let her go just in case..

Closing his eyes in frustration, her brother slowly unhinged his grip before letting Hikari's feet touch the floor, his arm still around her waist as he muttered.

"Does it hurt? Are you sure it's okay?"

The girl shook her head in response before Dabi watched the sibling reaction with disdain, his fingers already starting to spark with blue inferno at the sight. 'Aww, how sweet.."

Hikari then watched as the fire started to peek into the corner of her vision, the girl just barely getting the time to gasp before the flames appeared in front of them as a hand grabbed around her waist, pulling her into the man.

"But sadly, wrong choice. You shouldn't have let her go hero."

Smirking, Dabi then forced the girl around before clamping a hand onto her throat as her back pressed against the villain without another moment, almost like he was waiting for a right time to strike.

Hikari could already smell the ash and smoke from his quirk as the girl immediately began to struggle with annoyance before Dabi tightened his grip on her throat, the fingers gracing the skin and turning a light shade of blue.

"Ah ah Princess, I wouldn't move if I was you, unless you want a scar?"

His words caused the girl to freeze as Hawks immediately took a step forward, his eyes in pure panic and fear. This was bad, this was so bad. He needed to get her away from Dabi before he hurt her, before something even worse happened.

So much so, he said his next words without really thinking about them.

"Hikari! Let her go…"

At the name, Dabi couldn't help but hum, his fingers trailing up her neck as two of them wrapped around her chin with interest as Hikari cringed in disgust for the way he was clearly playing around with her.

"Hmm, so that's your name? Thanks pigeon shit. That's a whole lot easier than having to get it out of her. Although, I think I like Princess more.."

And the villain loved to see Hawks' eyes widen at his words, knowing he had let her name slip so easily, pure horror clear in his features now.

"C-Come on man, we can talk about this. This has nothing to do with her, she's just a civilian. Just let me take her to a medic and you can fight me all you want."

Although the fact that he was so naive only made Dabi chuckle even more, his other hand trailing across Hikari's lower hip and dancing on the band of her belt loops with amusement as Hawks watched with unsaid fury.

"Nah, you don't get it Hawks. This isn't about you, I just wanted to say hello to this little piece of ass and ask her if she'd wanna join me for a night or two. That's all.."

Pushing his lips close to her ear, the villain hummed as Hikari couldn't help but shiver at the closer proximity. "And something tells me you wouldn't regret it baby."

Hikari couldn't help but widen her eyes at that, her disgust for this man reaching new levels now.

She knew he was just playing Hawks, she knew he was just saying these things in order to get him angry but this asshole was taking it too damn far. If only she could speak her mind, if only she could tell him off right now..

That idiot, he was teasing her, about the nights they had spent together, the times they had hooked up before all this. Ugh, it made her skin crawl now that she heard it out loud. Right in front of her brother, he was alluding to it all.

"N-No thank you..."

God, she sounded pathetic, it almost made her want to barf but unfortunately that was the only option she had available, Dabi's lips curling into a small smirk at her disapproval.

"That's not very nice. And here I was asking you nicely before I burn my fingers into your pretty little throat. Not a very smart decision if you ask me, turning me down like that…"

To prove his point, Dabi slid his hand back towards her throat before giving a hard squeeze as the girl gasped for air, clawing at his hands in order to get him to release her.

How long is he going to keep this up?! You burnt frosted flake, you're taking it too far!

Although just then, something seemingly came from the sky as Hikari felt his fingers detach a moment later, the girl falling to the ground a moment later as she coughed. What the hell was that?

That's when the girl heard her voice, arms proudly on her hips as Mirko spoke. "Gotcha! You didn't think you could get away so easily, did you?"

Dabi eyed the rabbit hero with disdain before turning back to Hikari with an unknowing expression as the two shared an unsaid conversation. Oh great, you got another hero on your ass now. Good job Dabi. Real smart...

Yet her thoughts were quickly interrupted when Hawks arms covered her view from the villain, the flightless bird bringing his sister into an embrace in order to separate her from Dabi. "H-Hikari, thank god. Are you okay?"

Coughing back in response, she then watched as the man searched her body for any kinds of burns or scars that the villain may have created, trailing his fingers across her arms in silent fear. "He didn't hurt you, did he? I swear to god if he.."

His words were interrupted though when he spotted a long series of scars near her shoulder as he noticed them through the tear in her shirt, each of them ugly and certainly not fresh. In fact, they looked years old..

Hawks didn't notice them before because her shirts had hidden them but as he ran his finger across the old wound, the bird noticed even more poking from under the fabric.

Wait, there were more? How many did she have...

When his fingers touched her skin though, Hikari immediately flinched, her eyes growing wide with anxiety before shrinking away from his touch. She seemed uncomfortable by the action. "No, I'm fine."

Pulling his hands back, Hawks couldn't help but feel a warning bell enter his mind before Dabi spoke back, his tone both playful and ominous at the same time. "Shame we have to cut this so short. No matter, I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon Princess. Until the next time..."

Then a thick cover of black ooze started to pour from the villains lips as Mirko raced forward, her feet ready to knock him out. "Oh, no you don't!"

But it seemed her efforts were in vain as Dabi disappeared through the smoke a moment later, Hikari eyeing the spot with extreme distain and disgust, knowing that what he had claimed was going to be the truth.

That's right, you will be seeing me soon, and you're not going to like it.

Taking a drink of the alcohol in front of him, Dabi hummed to himself before checking the clock on his left, just sitting and lying in wait for the storm that would appear soon. Oh, this was going to be good..

And much to his amusement, his prayers were soon answered then the villain heard the door open next to him, her voice crying across the space with the hatred that he liked to hear from her so often.

"DABI, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?! YOU EASY BAKED OVEN FROSTED FLAKED ZOMBIE LYING PIECE OF SHIT. YOU HAVE FIVE MINUTES TO COME OUT HERE BEFORE I KILL YOU.. "

Her shouts took up the whole space, every other thug twisting their eyes to him in slight fear that she was in fact going to kill him. Either that or they were excited to see the carnage that would unfold before them.

It was probably the second one though.

Chucking into his drink, Dabi only lifted his hand up towards the girl, not even giving her the decency to turn around. "Funny, I thought you didn't kill, remember? As if you'd get your pretty little hands dirty after playing hero and saving all those people earlier..."

Although Hikari was certainly not pleased, the girl racing up to him before grabbing his drink off the table and throwing it into the nearby wall, glass shattering in a million pieces.

"Yeah well, try me. See what happens. What the fuck do you think you're doing?! Is this some kind of joke to you or something?!"

Yet the villain only smirk at his friend's fury before twisting his lips into a sadistic smirk. "Kinda, yeah."

Already feeling her brow tick with annoyance, Hikari gritted her teeth before running her fingers through her hair.

"Un-fucking believable. Have you forgotten that you're the one that called me, you're the one that asked me to do this uncover shit! I've been busting my ass for you and you think you can just show up and ruin everything for what?!"

Feeling her necklace twitch under her collarbone as her wings ruffled with fury, the girl then reached down before grabbing onto Dabi's jacket, forcing him into her gaze. "Why are you making my life so god damn difficult when you are the one who hired me!"

Dabi couldn't help but only find amusement in her words though, his remorse non-existent for the stunt he just pulled. "Relax Princess, I didn't ruin anything. Besides, it was certainly a treat to see you in that little pretty pink outfit of yours. I should've taken a picture.."

Recalling back to the awful clothes that Keigo made her wear, Hikari felt her hands leave his jacket before balling her fists and punching him across the face without a second thought.

"Fuck you. You're lucky I couldn't do anything or I swear to god I would've wiped that little smirk off your face so damn fast..."

Although the only thing Dabi did was laugh, his fingers gracing his cheek as he coaxed a reply. He couldn't help it, the man was reveling in her anger. "Oh really? But that would've broken the little bird boys heart, wouldn't it? To know his sister was really one of us.."

Balling her hands in order not to hit him again, Hikari settled for an accusatory finger. "Like I care what Kei thinks. I was just trying not to ruin everything I've set up, everything you obviously don't' care about..."

Dabi then looked down at her finger before his hand wrapped around her surface, his eyes filled with unsaid intent. "Oh Please, I just like having a little fun, that's all. Something you wouldn't know anything about.."

The slight jab was not lost on Hikari, the girl recalling something else from his words before using her other hand to slap him across the face in order for him to let go, her face red and steaming with anger.

"Speaking of which, that's for putting your crusty hands on me and saying all of those disgusting things in front of Kei. If you ever do that again I swear to god that will be the last thing you ever touch, do you hear me Dabi?"

Her tone was low and warning, so dangerous that any person would have been intimidated by it. Well, anyone except Dabi. "You didn't pull away though, did you?"

Turning her head towards him in utter disbelief, Hikari felt her cheeks heat up at what he was actually suggesting. Did he just say that she wanted his hands on her like that, that she let it happen because she was enjoying it?! The idea was ridiculous.

"Are you kidding me? I didn't have a god damn choice, and you knew that! You used that to do whatever you fuck you wanted like the egotistical bastard you are. Don't think I didn't notice."

Yet that was also met with more laughter from the villain. "Oh, I know you did. That's what was so enjoyable about it, watching you try not to burst. You were quite close, weren't you Princess? I could practically see it in your eyes.."

The fact that he wasn't taking any of this seriously, the fact that he had practically pushed her in front of her brother so that she would crack, it was all so unbelievably frustrating to her. He was the same as he had always been, never caring about anyone other than himself..

No, that wasn't right. He was far worse then she had last met him, the ego of his own actions making him absolutely insufferable now.

And Hikari was done with all of it.

"Yeah well, you know what? I'm out. Have fun finding someone else to spy on Kei cause I'm over your bullshit. I'll just throw the file I have into the trash. See you never.."

Turning away, Hikari then made her way towards the door before someone clamped down on her arm a moment later, the licks of fire burning her skin before Dabi pulled her body into the closest room next to them, slamming the door a moment later.

Then he spun her around before Hikari felt her back hit the dingy wall, looking up to see the villains furious and unamused gaze. "I don't think you understand the position you're in right now.."

Grabbing onto her shit, Dabi then pulled the girl forwards until his lips were pressed against her ear, a slight shiver appearing as he hissed back a moment later. "Don't forget. You owe me."

Hikari couldn't help but twist her eyes into disgust though, not taking any of his words as a threat. "You don't think I know that? That's the only reason I'm here..."

The villain then slammed her body back into the wall before he hummed darkly. "I know it is, so you better do what you're supposed to do. You're going to give me that file like you promised before we have a problem."

Frowning at his response, Hikari replied. "And if you don't stop screwing up my mission then we will have an even bigger problem. What are you gonna do, torture me? Yeah, been there done that. Kill Keigo? I couldn't care less about him either.

Hikari then smirked with hidden malice as she scoffed. "Go ahead and do whatever you want but without my help you aren't getting that damn file.."

And perhaps it was crazy to coax him into that but quite honestly she was over his bullshit and wanted solid confirmation that he wasn't going to ruin everything again.

Yes she owed him, yes she'd never forget that but she was also the only person that he couldn't intimidate, the one person that knew everything about him, the one person he couldn't scare so easily.

Dabi only growled in response though, obviously not pleased with the defiance before grabbing onto her arms as the blue heat started to burn her skin. "I don't think you're getting it. You don't get to tell me what to do. That is unless you want me to burn every single one of your feathers off permanently.."

Hikari didn't flinch though, she didn't cry or scream at the heat. No, she only stared back at him disinterested, knowing that he wasn't going to break her, that he couldn't break her like everyone else in his life.

Nah, his threats were nothing compared to what hell she had lived through previous.

"Go ahead and try. Let's see how far you make it."

Her words had a sense of challenge to them, ones that Dabi recognized immediately as he let go off her arms before putting his flames in front of her face a moment later, the blue singing a couple of her blonde hairs.

"Maybe I will, maybe I'll see just how long it takes for you to beg me to stop."

Hikari only narrowed her eyes though, the girl's fingers reaching around to grab the pendant on her neck, fully ready to kick his ass in order to teach him a lesson.

She knew he was bluffing, and if he wasn't she at least knew that the damage he could cause was minimal at best. What was he going to do anyways, kill her? Fine with her.

Although Hikari was pretty sure that was off the table, given that they had known each other for almost their entire life and yet they were both still alive.

What a pity. He never gave her the easy way out, did he?

Feeling her fingers brush against the crystal pendant, Hikari replied with slight amusement. "Oh, I don't think I'm the one that's going to be doing the begging..."

The fire grew closer then as the girl began to lift her necklace with the intent to break the clasp the minute he made the first move, both lying in wait to see if they would actually attack the other..

Although that was when another familiar voice rang through the door, his tone carrying into the room next to them before both Dabi and Hikari stared at each other with shock. "Where's Dabi? I need to speak with him."

Fuck, it was Keigo.

Widening her eyes, Hikari quickly dropped her hand from her neck before harshly whispering towards Dabi. She was so screwed if he walked in here and saw the two of them. Then everything would really be ruined.

"Dabi, what are we going to do?! I can't..."

Her words were cut off a second later as the villains hand clamped around her mouth a second later, stopping her words and pushing the girl against the wall with silent warning.

Yet this time she didn't fight back, only stared at him in a heavy glare before Dabi called through the walls lazily. "Is that chicken shit I smell? Don't worry bird brain I'll be out in a minute. I'm just finishing up here. They pay by the hour you know..."

Hikari couldn't help but widen her eyes at that, knowing that he had just implied that she was some kind of prostitute that he was playing around with. Ugh, disgusting..

It seemed like his lie worked though, the two hearing Hawks' groans of annoyance before calling back. "Just hurry up, it's important."

The girl couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief at that though, feeling Dabi's hand uncover from her mouth a moment later as he hummed quietly. "See you Princess. I gotta go chat with your brother."

Pulling away, Dabi turned towards the door before calling back lazily. "Oh and about the file, I'll play nice for now. But you better bring it the next time we meet or else I might have to make another surprise appearance."

His words sounded threatening but Hikari sensed the defeat in his tone, the one that told her that he was going to play by the rules as long as she did the same. It was enough for her to drop the idea of leaving for now.

At least he was trying to be civil.

Then without seeing his response, the girl then turned towards the back of the room before slipping out the side door as Dabi left to meet her brother, knowing that whatever conversation they were about to share was certainly going to be interesting.

As Dabi lazily appeared from the doorway, Hawks eyed the villain with so much distain and hatred, his hands gripping onto his feather sword as the villain called back.

"I knew you'd come crawling to me soon enough Hawks. By the way, that little hero act you gave today was certainly interesting."

Pushing his lips together, the villain then chuckled to himself, finding the ironic humor in his next words. "You know, it would be a real shame if your innocent little sister found out you were a fake. The look of devastation it would bring, I can almost picture it."

And that was funny for Dabi because he knew the amount of hatred Hikari had for her brother, the type of hatred that the idiot bird would never understand, the kind that was going on right under his nose.

But for Hawks, he only felt a hard ball of shame in his throat, not wanting to picture his sister in that kind of way. If she knew what kind of person he really was, then she'd be truly disappointed. That's why he hid, that's why he only gave her the parts that she deserved, the fake ones.

Feeling his wings twitch, the hero decided to change the subject, knowing that the topic of his sister was something he didn't want Dabi to speak about. "I thought the plan was to test the Nomu on the coast this weekend. Why did you change the plans?"

The villain only shrugged though, strolling up to the hero. "Changed my mind. I wanted to see how you would react to it, and was it interesting. I mean all of those civilians and yet no casualties. Why is that Hawks?"

Stopping to stare at the hero, there was a sense of darkness in his tone, like he was accusing him of something. And that made Hawks extremely nervous, thinking he'd messed up somewhere.

And he had messed up. All of these civilians, Endeavor and his sister, the reason why they were in danger today was because he wasn't smart enough to recognize Dabi's lies, to keep them safe. He felt responsible and guilty for everything that played out.

Boring his cerulean gaze with a frown, Dabi spoke darkly. "You better speak up hero, because as of right now it seems like you are looking like a traitor, stopping my high end from completing it's test."

Hawks couldn't help but gulp at that, thinking about how he could get out of this one. Of course he wasn't going to let that Nomu hurt anyone, that was obvious. But that wasn't the thoughts of a villain, that wasn't how he was supposed to be acting.

Dabi was right, it did look suspicious.

Taking a breath, the bird quickly tried to shove all of his anxiety down before shrugging. "What did you want me to do man? I gotta keep up appearances. I suggested the coast because I wouldn't have to interfere but when you pick a populated city I have no choice but to play hero for the public."

And he hoped and prayed that his words would work, that they would cause the villain to back away from this topic and no longer suspect him, because if it didn't then he'd be screwed.

Although that's when Dabi turned her head away a moment later, his tone back to being uncaring and uninterested. "Well, it certainly set us back. Although, that doesn't explain how protective you were over your little sister before, why you wouldn't let me have her..."

At the mention of Hikari, the bird felt all of his feathers immediately sharpen, speaking before thinking, like it was obvious why he couldn't have her. "She's my sister.."

Dabi smirked in response though, his tone accusatory. "Oh really? See, I thought you didn't care. I thought you were just obligated to take care of her. That's what you told me before. Remember?"

Hawks felt his blood run cold at his mistake before the villain hummed back. "That is, unless you were lying to me before?"

And Dabi knew he was lying, that's why pushing the hero was so much fun. That idiot didn't even understand anything that was going on, even when he so clearly thought he did. But then again watching him squirm and lie was equally entertaining.

So he watched as the hero shifted around uncomfortably before he spoke back with a slight hint of anxiety, one that Dabi caught very clear.

"Nah man, I wouldn't lie to you. I meant what I said before. I don't really care about my sister but it's not like I could just give her to you publicly. A hero is supposed to save people so it would look suspicious if I didn't try and stop ya..."

Taking in his words Dabi couldn't help but chuckle back towards the confused bird. You wouldn't lie to me, huh? Well, it looks like you just did. See, this is why I don't trust you pigeon shit.

"So what you're saying is, if it wasn't in the public you wouldn't try to stop me?"

Hawks immediately felt his blood begin to boil at that, knowing he had walked into a trap. What could he even say, what could he reply with to get him away from Hikari? He didn't know, and that terrified him.

Because of that, he was only left with one option. "Nah, go for it. But I'm going to suggest you don't. I mean Hikari is pretty but that's about it. You won't get much out of her that's for sure. I'm definitely the one that got the brains in the family."

The hero closed his eyes in shame at his own words, hating how he had to lie in order to protect her. God, he was so disgusting. I'm sorry Hikari. I really hate myself right now. Trust me. I'm so glad you can't hear me right now, about how vile I am.

Letting out a breath, the hero forced himself to finish. "I mean, you'd get more use from that prostitute you just banged a couple minutes ago. Also no offense but seeing you with my sister would be kind of gross. I don't even want to think about those kinds of things, ya know?"

And as Hawks felt the need to be sick, Dabi only stared back with massive amounts of amusement and interest. That bird really had no shame, did he? Talking about his sister like that? Lying about her like that?

At this moment he was sure Hikari was silently seething, courtesy of the red feather that was tucked inside his pocket unseen as her brother spoke his thoughts.

If he was sane he'd almost feel bad for her.

Shrugging his shoulders at that idea, the villain hummed in response before shoving his hands in his pockets, running his fingers across the bristles in order to get Hikari to think about something else other than what her brother had just said.

"You make some good points bird brain. I guess we'll just have to see in the future what will happen..."

Laying on her bed, Hikari heard her brother's words through the feather that was in Dabi possession before gritting her teeth in absolute emotion, forcing the idea from her mind.

She already knew how he felt so she should have been over his by now. But god, did it hurt having to hear it over and over again on repeat like this.

She then forced herself up, running her fingers through her hair in a single motion, before her entire body twitched at the feeling of someone touching her wings.

Grabbing onto the mattress, Hikari shivered before looking around the room in question, cursing Dabi for continuing to mess with her like this.

I should have never given him that damn feather. Aren't Keigo's words enough? You have to play around with me too?

Hikari then sighed to herself before reaching under her pillow and pulling out the flash drive that she had stolen from Hawks' agency yesterday and immediately moved to the living room to grab his laptop.

Opening the surface, the girl carefully placed the object in before a list of files came on the screen, one of them hopefully important enough to distract Hikari from her own wandering thoughts.

Sorry Dabi but I'm still pissed at you for today. Just for that, I'm going to look at this first.

Hikari then scanned through the files one by one, clicking on the important details before finding nothing of value. Just old cases and other crap.

Although that's when her mouse stopped on a very specific folder labeled. Commission Assignment #164 LOV behind a couple walls of security and passwords that she had hacked previously.

The girl couldn't help but narrow her eyes in response, knowing that the LOV was short for the League of Villains aka the group Dabi was part of. This could be promising...

Clicking on the file, a list of documents appeared from the commission president before Hikari widened her eyes at the information on the screen, and the realization it gave.

Oh Shit Keigo, you really are a spy...

Oop. Hikari knows that Hawks is trying to screw Dabi over. What is she going to do with this information? I wonder...

I don't know but I love writing this fic. I think the use of dialogue and how everyone is trying to screw each other over is super fun to plan out.

Thank you for all the comments and likes on this fic. Whenever I see them it makes my heart so happy!

Next Chapter: Hikari has to figure out what she wants to do with this information.
