AN: I don't own My hero academia

Get up.

"Get back here Izuku," Fuyumi groaned as she chased the laughing baby around the kitchen table.

no doubt about it Izuku has mastered the art of crawling and he was a speeder. He could out crawl any of them. Even worst he was small so he could get under hard-to-reach places. One time he crawled under the dock outside the garden. Took them hours to find him and even more to get him out. There was even a time he somehow got into one of their clothes drawers. Although was funny seeing him crawl around with a part of underwear wrapped around his little body.

Eventually, Fuyumi caught him under the arms. He was getting heavier, but that weight wasn't enough to stop her from plotting him down in his highchair. Took effort but effort well spend now that the baby was safely in place. "There. Now you can't go running off. So, stay put," she demanded playfully while poking his little nose.

Izuku cheered in delight at the light touch. Even smacked his hands on the table. Clapping in away.

The rest of the Todoroki family were helping each other set up the table. It was early morning and a weekend. That means hearty family breakfast. It was usually a peaceful and lively time for them. One of the rare occasions that they were all together for once. Well, most of them at least. Rei was preparing the meal while humming a tune. Touya was next to her helping her out since he was the only one old enough to use a knife. Lastly, Natsuo was finishing setting up the table. he stole a glance at his sister and the baby and frowned. "you know you can help too."

Fuyumi rolled her eyes and happily patted the baby's head. "I know. I know. It's hard catching Izuku sometimes."

"I'll say," Natsuo growled for once in agreement. "Ever since he learned how to crawl, he's always getting into trouble. How did he even make his way into dad's suitcase?"

Fuyumi shrugged while wrapping a blue bib around the energetic baby. "Who knows. We're lucky dad noticed him before accidently bring him along on that business trip."

Touya chuckled at the memory while finishing off cutting the remaining vegtables. "If you think he's trouble now. Imagen what it will be like when he learns how to walk. Let's not even get on quirks."

"If you ask me it's speed." Nasuto grumpily commented.

"Ohhh! What if it's flight," Fuyumi wonder excitedly.

Rei didn't really like either thought. Both types of quirks would be beneficial for her husband. If anything, she hopes for a weak simple quirk like Fuyumi and Natsuo. Something her husband will not be able to use to further his ambition. What point would it be for taking the kid to begin with if he turned out to be powerful. Besides Touya is already a victim of the rigorous training. No need to add another child. He has nothing to do with their family anyway. "Whatever his quirk is it will certainly be a surprise," she said carefully while placing their meal down on the main table.

The unknown factor was scary. What if she did accidentally take the perfect child her husband was looking for? Where does that leave them? Her? The reason for their marriage was to produce a strong heir and so far Touya meets the requirements. If Izuku somehow takes that place what would happen? She shook the negative thoughts from her mind. It didn't matter yet. They still have years before anything like that could happen. Maybe god will answer her prayers. Give the child a weak useless quirk. That is all she could hope for. "Now then set down everyone. Let's enjoy…"

Her words were lost as the door to the kitchen slid open. The family turned to see an unexpected guest. Endeavour in his hero suit. Flames out of course for safety. There shock was obvious. The man rarely joins them for meals. At most he would join dinner but never any other mealtime. In the mornings he either confine himself to the training room or had an early start at work. Lunch was the same only he was usually at work still. To see him in the mornings was rare indeed. Endeavour stared at his family already seated and ready to eat. His usual spot on the table seemed to be taken by little Izuku's highchair. Not like he mind. He wasn't going to stay long.

Grinning at the sight of the hero, Izuku's eyes lit up. He raised his arms as high as he could and giggled some happy gibberish.

His attention now stolen by the baby. He wondered his gaze to the child and met their glistening eyes. He nodded once with a blank expression. "Moring to you too."

Then Rei snapped out of her shock. She gave a nervous smile and greeted her husband soon followed by the rest of her children. "Will you be joining us, dear?" she asked awkwardly.

Thankfully, the man shook his head. "No, I will not. It's just that the paperwork last night too longer than expected to complete. That and some fool broke the coffee machine in the office. A replacement isn't due till tomorrow. I thought I'd make a cup here instead of going out of my way to find a café. Just eat without me."

It wasn't an order but to the family in sure felt like one. As he told they quickly started their meal. The atmosphere was tense thanks to the hero's presents. It was always so strong. Intimidating. Suffocating. They didn't even what to talk. So, they stayed in silence eating their meal. Too afraid of possibility angering the man.

Endeavour paid no mind. He wanted coffee and he was getting coffee. Causally, he strolled through the dining area and made his way to the counter. He quickly poured himself a cup, added some sugar and drank it on the spot. The silence was welcomed by him. He was tired and rather not hear too much noise. Yet the silence was never truly silence. Not when you have a baby that spoke gibberish constantly. The hero's eyes wondered back to Izuku's highchair. The child was staring up at him in wonder. His little hands reaching out while clasping the air around him. He took the cup away from his lips curiously. Then he lifted the cup away from him.

As he suspected Izuku's little head turned to follow the cup. The baby was entranced by it. Then he turned to Endeavour. One of his little hands pointed to the cup. "Nah."

Calmly, the hero shook his head. "No, you cannot have coffee. Again, you are too young for it."

"Ba nah wah," Izuku whimpered while smacking his hands on his empty desk.

Endeavour finally noticed it and thought it was odd. Has he not been feed yet? Well, he will be soon or at least he should. His gaze then fell upon his nervous family members. Mainly to the one closest to little Izuku. "Fuyumi, where's this one's meal."

The girl almost choked on her rice at the call of her name. She recovered quickly with a forced smile and lifted the tub of baby food beside her. "It's right here, father," she said while hurriedly unscrewing the top. She took a green plastic spoon next and dipped it into the mystery pot. She was not completely sure what it was. Only that it was a bright orange colour and smelled kind of weird. Which can be said for most baby food. She took a spoon of the mystery stuff and brought it to Izuku's mouth. The baby in turned away from her and stared at the big hero. His little hand still pointing to the cup. This made Fuyumi nervous. "Izuku, come on. Your breaky if over her. See? Say ah." She tried to get the baby's attention by performed little tricks with the spoon. Even pretended it was a plane with little noises. Nothing seemed to work. The hero had the baby's complete attention.

Huffing at the sight, Endeavour couched down to the baby's eye level. Sternly he pointed to his face. "No coffee for you."

It just so happened that his finger was just close enough for the baby to reach. With his mouth. He opened his mouth wide and chomped on the man's finger. "Na mo." The baby giggled as he chewed the finger.

Endeavour did not look impressed. He pulled his finger away making the baby whimper and set his cup aside. He then looked to his nervous daughter and beckoned her to give him the spoon. With jittery hands the girl gave up the spoon to her father. Then he placed the spoon near the baby's mouth. "Eat," he stated firmly.

Izuku looked at him and then at the spoon cautiously. His little hands reached up to touch the spoon, but Endeavour pulled away. "Wam," Izuku said with a pout.

"Open your mouth," Endeavour said while opening his own mouth wide.

Izuku tilled his head a little confused but he soon got the picture. He copied the hero to the best of his ability and opened his little mouth as wide as he could. Then Endeavour plotted the spoon in, and the baby intuitively bit down. He chewed on the spoon at allowing the mystery stuff to slide into his mouth. His face scratched up not knowing if he liked it or not. Some excess even gushed out at the corner so his little mouth. Still the baby got it down. "Mah."

"There that wasn't so bad. Better than my finger," Endeavour commented while whipping the excess off the baby mouth.

"Na!" The baby groaned displeased.

"No? It can't be that bad. It's just puree version of what you'll be able to eat in a few years' time. Now come. One more bite."

The rest of the family watched on in awkward amazement. It was honestly a strange sight. Endeavour. The fire hero. Big, scary, and intimating man calmly trying to feed a little green baby as if it was an everyday occurrence. It was not. Really it was not. Yet here they were watching it play out. Izuku continued to reject the food and Endeavour persistently coxing him to eat it. At times being downright forceful. Shoving the spoon into the boy's mouth. After a couple of spoons in Izuku seemed to change his mind on the mystery stuff and ate it happily.

This made the hero smile. It was a blink, and you'll miss it smile but it did catch the attention of one family member. His wife Rei. She was silent while the whole time the scene played out. He lips grew liner with each passing second of the innocent interaction. Bitterly, she snapped her head away. "You never feed our kids when they were that young," she spat coldly.

The comment made the hero froze. A quick search through his memory confirmed it. No never did anything like this before. Always too busy with other obligations. His career always came first. Even so. He focused his eyes on the happy baby giggling in his highchair. A complete accident yet he can't say he disliked it. Gently he stroked through the baby's little green curls. The action only made like little guy giggle more. It was an innocent sound. So pure and light. He then turned to his daughter and gave back the spoon and food. "You can finish off the rest, Fuyumi. I have to make my way to the office now."

Nodding, Fuyumi took the food and watched her father get up and leave. The whole family couldn't take their eyes off of him. Of course, he ignored their gaze and walked away. But not without Izuku calling out one last time. "ma na f," he said he baby gibberish.

Endeavour turned around at the call. Baby Izuku was still clapping and cheering. Waving his little arms at the man. The lightest of smiles appeared on the hero's lips. He nodded his head in acknowledgement before leaving out of sight.

"Well, that happened," Touya commented with laugh hoping it would cut through the remaining tension in the air.

"Yeah…weird…can you past the salt by the way?" Natsuo asked while following his brother's lead. The man was gone. The awkwardness was over. They can eat peacefully now. Even Fuyumi followed and ignored all that happened just a few minutes ago. Insisted she focused on Izuku helping him eat the last of his meal. They just had to act like it never happened. It wasn't even a big deal. Their farther just made some time to feed their adopted baby brother. That's all.

But it wasn't for Rei. It meant more to her. For all these years her husband never looked at any of their children like that. Never once feed them once. He gave them the minimal attention that was required of him. Maybe even less in some cases. The only child in his sights for so many years was their first. His so call pride and joy. The child he was moulding to be greater than him. Even then, the hero never looked at Touya as kindly as he did to a that child. They didn't belong to him. An ugly feeling flowed through her. It nibbled way at her mind making her body twitch and her face crumple. It wasn't long before she snapped. Slapping a pair of hands on the table, she dashed out to follow her husband.

As soon as she left the screams weren't too far behind.

The children jerked at the sound of their mother's raised voice. There goes their peaceful breakfast. Gloomily, the children looked down at their plates as the screaming match began. They couldn't make out every word thanks to the wall muffling it. They can tell their mother was upset with their father. It was rare for her to voice her opinion. Especially so violently.

Izuku looked at the Todoroki siblings confused. His baby brain couldn't completely grasp what was going on. He just knew they were sad. That was enough to make him sad. His little lips curled down in a frown. His eyes started to water while he sadly whimpered.

Touya shot up and picked the baby up. He kept one ear pinned to his neck while the other he covered with his hand. Anything to help lessen the noise and calm the child. He gently rocked the little body hoping that would help a little as well. Then he looked at his siblings. They looked back at him as if they were waiting for orders on what they should do now. There was only one thing he could think of. Sighting, he adjusted his hold on Izuku and gestured to the door. "Come on. Let's go make sure things don't get too bad. Beside mom going to need us when this is over."

The other two spoke out short agreement before hurrying out of their chairs. Following their older brother out.

"I don't understand you, woman! What's wrong with me feeding the child?"

"Nothing."

"Then why are we yelling?"

"Because you care for that child more than you do your own blood!"

"Now you're just being ridiculous. I am only doing what is required. What you expect the child to starve!"

"No. I expect you to show affection for your own children. They're your flesh and blood. That one isn't. If you were capable why haven't you shown a speck of love for them. For me." Rei's voice was shaking. They've been at the for a good few minute. She was lucky things haven't gotten physical with Endeavour breaking the things around him. the only thing breaking was her heart and a little more of her remaining sanity. She tightly clenched her arching chest. She barely had the strength to keep standing. So, she stood there crying.

Getting stick of the arguments himself, Endeavour turned his back on his crying wife. "I don't have time to bicker with you. I need go do my patrols."

"Work thing this. Patrols that. Paperwork. Is work all you care about!"

"I do what I must for this family!"

"Besides care for it! For once care for your own children. Why do you even care more for that one?"

"What are you talking about? I do what is require of me. You all have food, shelter, everything to you need. What more could you possibly want? And remind me again who's fault was it that child was here to begin with?"

"You were the one to push me!"

"And you knew exactly what you were getting into when you decided to accept my marriage proposal."

The argument got heated. Both parents glared the other down with looks sharp enough to kill. The children were huddled up around the corner. Watching. It wasn't like they wanted to. It would be preferred to ignore this like usual, but they couldn't this time. It was hard to ignore their parents hash words. All for this little green baby. Oddly enough despite the loud screaming match he wasn't crying like a normal baby would. Well, he looked like he would cry but his tears wouldn't fall. If they were to put it into words, he looked worried. His look little arms reached out to their parents. He was making little whimpers while his legs swag about.

Touya glanced at this little baby in his arms and then back to his parents. They seemed to have stopped fighting, which was good, but it didn't end happily. It ended like all their fights. With their father storming off with a grunt and their mother looking like she was break down into tears. Sadly, at this point most of them have been desensitised by such an event. They have learned to accept it and so Izuku should too. That didn't stop the baby form struggling his way out of the boy's arms. It became harder to hold on to him. Eventually, Touya gave in and carefully dropped the baby down. Like a little bolted, Izuku crawled away in breakneck speeds. Well not really but he was still fast for a baby. "Izuku!" Touya whisper yelled.

Panicked himself, Natsuo grabbed the ends of his sideburns as the baby crawled right for their parents. "What is he doing?"

"Maybe he's going to comfort mom," Fuyumi suggested hopeful.

It turned out she was completely wrong as the little baby crawled right pass their mother. Even she looked surprised when she eventually noticed the little guy. Soon it was clear who he was really aiming for. His big green eyes only aimed at one thing. Their father. "Izuku!" The family cried.

Izuku didn't listen. Nor did he care. He was only a baby and they did what they want. What he wanted was taking great strides away from him. It was difficult with his little arms and legs to catch up. He was so small, and Endeavour was so big. A complete giant compared to everyone he was seen. At this rate it would be impossible for him to catch up. Even so the baby was determined. He will catch that big man. He will. Maybe if he did what the man was doing, he could catch him. He just needed to copy.

"Izuku come…" the words were swamped by surprise. The ruckus in the hallway was gone.

Endeavour noticed the odd and sudden silence. It made him curious enough to turn around. His eyes widen at the sight.

There not far from him was Izuku standing as straight as he could on his own legs. He was wabbly but he was still up. It was a surprise that forced the whole family to freeze. Seeing his target frozen Izuku smiled widely. They stopped now. He could catch up. He took one wobbly step forward and fell. His little chubby body splattered on the hard wooden floor. Rei and the other children gasped in horror. Meanwhile, Endeavour remained stone faced. Eyes aimed directly at the child. Izuku little head roll up letting his chin sit flat. Tears began to well up in his eyes. That was until he met the stern gaze of Endeavour.

The hero kept his sight firmly at the child. His arms crossed as if he was waiting. Impenitently, he jerked his chin up. "Get up." He demanded.

Rei's concerned expression which to rage. "How could be so heartless. He's only a baby."

Like usual, Endeavour ignored his wife. "Get up." He said again.

Izuku stared at the giant before him. His eyes weren't cruel. Just observant. Waiting. As if he understood the giant words, he forced his tears back and tried to get up again. He stubbled a few times with his second try sanding. Yet he got up to his wobbly feet. His arm's outstretched wider to hold his balance. He faced the hero again and took a step. He fell soon after.

Rei and the children didn't know what to do. A part of them just wanted to snatch Izuku and run for it. Another was too afraid to act in fear of angering the fiery temperament of Endeavour. Their fear won out, so they stood still and watched anxiously. Good thing too since Endeavour was heavily fixed on the child's progress. When he fell again, the hero hummed, "that was one. Can you do more?"

Izuku glanced up again. The hero still waited. So Izuku got up again much faster than his last attempt. He took a step and another then he fell.

Endeavour smirked. "Not bad." He was going to help pick the baby up this time now satisfied with the results. Then he stopped. He had to after looking into the child's eyes. They were a forest green, yet they burned with fire. One he recognised greatly. Pure willpower. He would be a disservice to help the child now. Not when those eyes were telling him to stay where he stood. So, he did.

Again, Izuku got up. Again, he took steps. Again, he fell but this time he caught himself. His little arms slap themselves in the floor keeping his body up. Slowly, he stood up sight again. He was getting the hang of this standing and stepping forward. Not to mention he was so close now. He just needed a few more steps. Just a few. He took those few steps with bubbling laugher. It wasn't long before he stumbled onto his target. Happily, he grabbed on to their leg. Rubbing this face in with a smile. Then he found himself flying. Endeavour picked him up. He giggled as he got higher and higher. Once they met face to face, Izuku slapped his hands on either side of the hero's face. "BA!" He cheered triumphantly.

Endeavour did something his family never thought he was capable of. He smiled at the child. It wasn't a wild craze battle grin. Nor was it a wide happy ear to ear smile. It was small almost kind with a touch of pride. It was such a gentle expression. One that didn't match the man at all. "You're a tenacious type I see."

Baby Izuku happily clapped his hands in triumph. "Ba Ba"

Endeavour nodded along while curling the little baby in his arms. The baby looked oddly comfortable in there. "You're going to grow up to be quite strong."

"Ah!"

"Oh? You think so too?" He laughed. He genuinely whole heartedly laugh. For this child. This child that wasn't his own.

The Todoroki family looked on with conflicted reactions. On the most positive side of the spectrum, Fuyumi was ecstatic by the employment. For the first time her father looked kind of like a father. Does that mean they could have a normal happy family? She was hopeful for that outcome. Nasuto didn't care. Borderline grumpy. He knew that baby was weird. Always crawling after his so call father. That made his father weird too. So, so weird. Oh well. He's not his real brother so he shouldn't care. Touya was…fearful. That was the best way to describe it. He didn't want Izuku to catch his father's attention. Then he wouldn't be put into the same training scheme that was forced upon him at a very young age. He should be the only one to bare the burden. That's what he swore to himself. Yet here they were his father smiling at Izuku. Even if it was minor, he doesn't remember his father doing anything like that to him…was he…not good enough. No. He had to be good enough. He had to. That is his role in this family. He won't allow that to be taken from him.

Out of all of them Rei was the most conflicted. On one hand she was confused. Horrified even that her husband. Her stern borderline cruel husband could make such a kind expression. For a child that wasn't his. That child was meant to be a punishment. A slap in the face for everything he's done till now. She took away his perfect creation and replaced it with this green thing. Yet he was smiling. He was laughing. Why? Why wasn't he liked that to his own children. Why couldn't he hold them like that? Talk to them like that? Smile like that? Why? Why? Why? It only natural to love your own children. To love the children, they created together. Wasn't she good enough? Didn't she do everything he wanted. Was she a failure as a mother? On the other hand, it was a good sign. It showed that somewhere in her husband hard exterior there was a spec of kindness. This child somehow managed to awoken it. It was a speck of hope. One she was willing to hold on to.

AN: Mark your calendars ladies and gentlemen for this was moment Endeavour fell for little Izuku. Even if he would never admit it aloud. This will probably be the longest these event shots are going to be. Seriously this almost feels like my regular chapters only shorter. Also, for those of you who bother to read these things remember when I said I didn't want to make a completely fluffy story. Well, this should prove my point. If you were expecting a completely happy family dynamic were nothing goes wrong, you're in the wrong place friend. This is the Todoroki family after all. Just because Izuku is a ray of pure sunshine doesn't mean his sudden inculcation to the family will solve all their problems.

Liziliza - I don't know why but writing endeavour having baby talks with Izuku is so fun to me. It very cute. Also, it was the older sibling's fault for expecting their youngest to come up with a good excuse. Yes, have the five-year-old try to lie.

fencer29 - well now Izuku has learned to walk. He will be more of a problem. Not just for his siblings.

Earl John Diawatan – well as a manga reader I to have no idea what Setsuna's backstory is. Only quirk and personality. We don't know much of the B class kids outside of that. Although she is one of the recommendation students like Momo and Shouto. So, I can definitely see her being form a well off family background. Inko being a villain I cannot see. But it's fanfiction so do what you like I suppose.

And that is. See you all next time in a very different event.
