AN: I don't own My hero academia
Can I watch?
"Put your back into it!" Endeavour yelled has he dogged his son's pathetic excuse of a flame fist. There wasn't enough fire in it. Power! He could barely feel the heat. How disappointing. "Put more power into your flames boy. You want to get stronger don't you!"
"Yes sir," Touya yelled, and he twisted his body around and unleashed a flame thrower of fire using both of his hands.
Endeavour stood his ground. He shielded his face by forming an X with his muscular arms. When they hit, he felt nothing? He wasn't even sweating. The hero snarled, "Is that all you got!"
"No sir!" Touya screamed as he rushed his father. With all the strength he could muster he set his fist ablaze and tried to punch his father.
It didn't turn out too well. Endeavour easily caught his son's fist. His massive hand engulfed the fist and even put out his flames. The boy tried to struggle free, but his father's hold was just too strong. Barely putting in any effort, Endeavour mercilessly slammed the boy on his back. Touya let out a groaned of pain as his body bounced against the hard wood. He couldn't get up right away which disappointed Endeavour greatly. "If you want to surpass me, you'll need to learn how to deal with pain. No villain out there will go easy on you. Do you understand?"
"Yes sir," Touya just managed to groan while attempting to get up. it was hard. His back was stinging but he had to. His fathers heated gaze was a testament to that. It was a struggle.
Sighing, Endeavour brought a hand to his face and shook his head. His son had potential, but he was still a working progress. He could tell the boy's flames are strong. Stronger than his own in fact. He knew he could become something greater than himself one day. The problem was the boy's body just couldn't handle them well. He just needed to push harder. Eventually Touya's body will get use to them. Just like he did when he was younger. He just needed to push their current limitation bit by bit. Increase resistance through training regularly and those burns will fade in memory.
Then in the corner of his eye he spotted something green in the cracks of the doorway. His frown deepened. When the crack suddenly closed, Endeavour rushed up to it, slamming his fingers on the wooden flame. Aggressively, he forced the door open. "Izuku! How many times do I have to tell you? Don't come here when we're training. It's dangerous!"
Little Izuku fell over himself flat on his butt. The suddenness of his father finding him startled him. This isn't the first time either. There were many times he sneaked into this area just to peek at what his father and brother were doing. His other siblings tried to stop him, but they never could. Not even the booming yells and warnings from his father was enough to convince him. He was just too curious and couldn't wait to one day join them. So, he kept coming back again and again. The consequences being mild. A yelling from his father and occasionally a set of extra chores. It was all worth it for even the glimpses of seeing his father and brother at work. Meekly, Izuku shifted his body till he sat on his knees. His head down as he half-heartedly apologised. "I'm sorry, father. I just really want to watch you. And Touya too! I won't get in the way. Promise. So, let me watch his time. Please." The boy looked up at his father with big begging eyes.
Looking at them Endeavour gulped. While still maintaining a stern outwardly expression. Inwardly it was hard to say no. Like extremely hard. It used to be so easy, but it was getting harder with each attempt Izuku did. He had to give the kid credit. They were stubbornly determined. It was admirable as it was annoying.
Touya peeked his head form behind the man smiling. "Why not let him watch this time, dad? Izuku is old enough to sit still. Besides an audience might be nice."
"And I'm already four," Izuku pipped hopeful. "That's means my quirk will be coming one day. And I'll be able to join you guys. I promise I'll be good and sit still. I won't get in the way. Please, father. Can I watch?" He then held up his endeavour doll. It's angry stitched eyes glared up at it's real life counterpart. Almost silently telling the man he should give in. Or else. "Mini Endver wants to watch too. So please." The doll did nothing. Only gave an unblinking angry gaze at the other Endeavour.
Outnumbered this time Endeavour gave a reluctant sigh. "Fine. But you better sit still."
Happily, Izuku jumped to his feet. He crashed into Endeavour's legs and hugged them. Then he dashed over to his brother and hugged him. The two boys laughed at the contact. Then Touya lead the boy to a far corner and gave him a matt to sit on. Jumping about, Izuku dived on the pillow and sat cross-legged with his plushie in his lap. A huge smile was placed on his face while he eagerly waited for his father and brother to start. The boy couldn't stay still while he rocked in placed in anticipation.
Endeavour kept an eye on Izuku. Then shifted attention to his son. "Now Touya, you're going to need to be a little more careful. Be aware of where you fire your flames."
The boy nodded and got into position. The air around him was a little different. As if he wasn't too serious until now. It was a good look for him.
Grinning, Endeavour took a similar stance. "Alright, come at me." Without any further prep Endeavour took the charge forward. With a fire he had yet to see, Touya rushed him as well. His arms were set ablaze as the boy attempted to land each hit. It wasn't so easy. Despite Endeavour's size he was surprisingly light on his fight. He dodged his son's attacks with relative ease. That didn't stop Touya form trying. He kept at it. One flame swing after the other. Was it him or was the boy more aggressive? This just made Endeavour thrilled. So, he matched Touya by setting his own arms ablaze. He punched back.
Thanks to his smaller and nimble body Touya was able to dodge most of his father's hits. It wasn't easy though. The heat of the hero's flames although weaker than his own still sting. Thanks to his sensitive skin it hurt just as much. Even if it was only licks of his father's flames he could still feel his skin drying out. It wasn't pleasant. Yet he kept going. He had too. After all he couldn't disappoint his little audience.
Izuku eyes and mouth were wide eye with amusement. His hands were clenched in fists maidly tapping against each other. He was more than exciting. Closely, he watched his father's and bother's movements. Engraving every punch to memory. They were so cool. Limbs set on fire. Sometimes even launching them. He could tell they very hyper aware of his presence. Making extra sure to stay closer to the other end of the dojo. Just so they wouldn't hit him. He was confident they could do it. After all his father and brother were amazing. Their. fist exchange grew more elaborate with kicks mixed in. Touya even did a cartwheel. Too cool. But then Izuku noticed something disturbing.
Touya's arms…it looked like smoke was coming out of them. It could just be the by-product of his flames, but dad's flames don't do that. The was also this odd smell in the air. It a sticky burning odour that made his stomach turn. Izuku's worry grew more as he saw patches started to form on his arms. They grew larger with each pasting second. Izuku turned to his father hoping he would notice but he didn't. Endeavour was too deep in the heat of a battle to notice that small detail.
So Izuku took matters into his own hands. He got up on his feet hand rushed up to them. "Brother!" He yelled in a panic.
Both Touya and Endeavour stopped. They too grew panicked as they saw the child rush at time. Immediately they disperse their flames. "Izuku! I told you to stay put!" The hero yelled angrily.
Izuku flinched but he still ran up to. He pointed at Touya's arm. "There are marks on Touya's arm. They're growing. I don't think that should happen."
Endeavour's face soften and took a glance at Touya. Forcefully, he grabbed one of his arms making the boy yelp in pain. The marks look bigger than usual. Darker too. "How are you feeling Touya? Can you still continue."
"Of course," Touya answered back without hesitation. The boy pulled his hand back rubbing his slightly bruised wrist. He had to continue. He knew that.
For a moment, Endeavour scanned his eldest son harshly. The boy was staring back at him with blazing eyes that matched his own. There was no point in questioning. "Very well. We can continue. As for you," he glanced back at his youngest child. They shivered at his cold gaze. "Stay in your corner. If you rush at us again, I will ban you from here until I say you're ready. Do you understand?"
Izuku quickly nodded and scurried back to his spot. The fight began again. Even more vicious than before. The flames were becoming intense. Izuku could feel them, and he was all the way on the other side of the room. He could help but he transfixed by his father's and brother's sharp and powerful movements. Although it was clear Touya still had a lot to learn. He was still amazing. He was even able to land a couple of hits making their father smile proudly. It was a scary kind of proud though. Almost wild in nature.
But those marks. They were distracting. Izuku didn't like how they were growing. Even multiplying. The longer Touya had his flames up the more prominent the mark become. That unpleasant burning odour was getting stronger too. He didn't like it. Not one bit. He had to do something but if he rushed out again, he'd be kicked out for good. If he yelled out for no reason, they might get angry too. That when he noticed the time by glancing up at a nearby clock. His young mind formulated the perfect reason. "Hey!"
"What!" Both Touya and Endeavour yelled with a screech. Annoyed that their spar got interrupted again.
Flinching, Izuku innocently pointed to the clock. "It's dinner time."
They both looked up at the clock and it was indeed that time. Time sure flies. Nodding, Endeavour turned to his eldest. "We'll end it here for today. You did good work out there, Touya. Keep it up and you'll be used to your flames in no time."
Quickly, Touya hid his arms and smiled. "Well, I couldn't possibly disappoint Izuku. Can I?"
Endeavour crossed his arms and let out an amused huff. "Well then. I suppose it was a good thing he was here. I'll go see to dinner preparation. Can you handle your bandages?"
"Of course, they don't hurt much anymore."
Nodding, Endeavour bid his children goodbye and went to check with his other family members.
When he knew is father was gone, Izuku wonder up to Touya with a deep frown. Even mini Endver looked disappointed. "It's not good to lie."
Touya couldn't look his little brother in the eye. "What do you mean?" When Izuku poked at one of Touya's mark. "Owo!"
"Owo!" Izuku copied his brother yelp. Not in a mocking way since he was sincerely hurt. Touya's skin was unexpectedly scorching hot. It was like touching a hot tray that can right out of the oven. His own skin was not prepared. He plopped his finger in his mouth hoping his saliva would help cool it while accidently dropping the doll in shock. It worked but only for a second. The stinging sensation was quick to follow.
This time Touya was in a panic. "Izuku, be more careful. My skin gets hot during and after training. You could burn yourself." He quickly rushed the medicine box always left in the dojo. It was full of the usual medical supplies. Bandages, various burn creams, alcohols etc. "Come here. Show me your hand." Reluctantly, Izuku took out his finger form the coldness of his mouth and gave it to his brother. The older boy dabbed some cream on it instantly relieving the stings sensation. "There. Feel better?"
Izuku nodded and grabbed the cream. "Let me do you."
"That's not necessary, Izuku."
"No, I can do it!" Izuku insisted. His eyes were doing that wide eyed begging look again. The one where no one could say no to. So, he allowed Izuku to tend to his injuries with the exception that he uses heat safe gloves. His skin was still radiating heat. The little boy agreed and readily treated his brother. He generously coated his marks with cream. It was almost laughable how much he smudged on. Nearly half the bottle. When it came to the bandages it was a little tricky but, he figured it out. It took a few tries till he eventually got a decent binding on them. "I did it!" He cheered.
Laughing, Touya planted a kiss on the boy's forehead. "You did a very good job, Izuku."
The prise made Izuku giddy but it didn't last long. His eyes travel along his brother's bandages arms. This wasn't the first time he seen his bother like this. That was the scary part. Nearly every other week or so he sees his bother with some type of bandages on. He always wondered why and now he knows. "You should tell father they hurt. I don't think your skin is supposed to smoke like that."
Sadly, Touya dropped his smile, "I can't do that."
"Why not?"
"I JUST CAN'T OK!" Touya snapped back uncharacteristically sharp. It was the first time Izuku heard his brother sound so harsh. It terrified him for a second. The small child even retreated with a couple of clumsy steps. Seeing his little brother shake, Touya took a deep breath. "Look Izuku. Dad expects me to succeed him and then one day All Might. To do that I have to be strong. So little injuries like these can't phase me. I have to be able to bare them if I ever hope to surpass dad…and his rival All Might."
Izuku listened intently. He didn't really get it. If Touya just told dad then he should be able to figure out what to do right? Dad will take care of everything and those marks won't appear on Touya's skin anymore. Then again Touya is older than him. That means he should know better than him. So he should trust his brother's judgment. Those marks were still worrying. If Touya doesn't say how bad they are could then get worst. Won't they? No. He wouldn't let that happen. He'll to his best so his brother doesn't get hurt. "I change my mind!" The child announced loudly.
Curiously, Touya looked down at his little brother. "Changed your mind on what?"
"I don't want a fire quirk anymore. I want a healing quirk. That way Touya won't get hurt anymore. I'll make it better." Izuku promised. Then he took out the half empty bottle of burn cream and another set of bandages. "Till then I'll use this. Other arm please." Izuku playfully demanded while holding out his hand. His chest was puffed out while he tried to put on a professional looking expression which looked more like a puffy pouty face with his chubby freckled cheeks.
Touya could help but smile while giving up his other arm. "A healing quirk huh? Guess you'll be the perfect sidekick for me."
"I'll be the best side-kick Touya can ever ask for."
Touya laughed harder and roughed up Izuku's curls using his bandaged hand. "I don't doubt that for a second."
It was then Izuku noticed something about Touya's hair. "Touya, your hair is kind of white there," he said while stroking at the tips.
Touya's eyes shot wide open. He quickly hid the white patch and forced a smile. "Oh that. Don't worry about it. It's nothing."
Even though his oldest bother said that it didn't stop Izuku form worrying one bit.
Since then, Izuku self-proclaim himself as Touya's personal nurse. Whenever those dark marks appeared on his skin the child would bandage them up for him. This soon extend to other members of the family. On the occasions Endeavour found himself over heating Izuku would pop out and grab a cup a cold of water from the kitchen. Then would douse the man with it. Same goes to Touya. Then there are his other siblings. Natsuo liked to get himself into trouble a lot. Usually, this involved him coming him with a scraped knees or scratches. Izuku happily patched him up and Natsuo didn't complain much. Fuyumi doesn't get hurt often but when she cut her finger with a knife Izuku was the first to give her a bans aid. He stared carrying them around in his pocket after notice how much Natsuo tends to get small scratches. He would even put them on himself. Looking very proud while doing it. He would even do it for his mother. Although he wouldn't put it on for her. He would just give her a band aid and she was perfectly ok with that.
The young boy just couldn't wait for his quirk to appear. It should be coming any day now. He didn't know what it would be. Ideally it would be nice to have a healing type quirk but those a rare type. He can still hope. He doesn't know who his parents are so there was hope that one of them had one. Maybe he'll get lucky. Either way he would be happy with anything. Just so long as he could be useful for his family.
AN: This was a nice event. Let me tick that off the list. Now what's next…oh…hahaha…it appears its' finally time.
Cyber-RK18 – you know what I'm going to answer that since it will be a long time before we ever see it. Bakugo's new Deku is Shouto. That might not be a surprised, but they have a very different relationship compared to the cannon bullying. Best way I can describe my current plans are they are frenemies. More so enemies than friends. And Touya is a good choice. Also, there is no doubt in my mind if Deku said penis Touya and Fuyumi would have through Nastuo to the shark called Endeavour. No regrets.
fencer29 – you know that is a fair assumption. I think I saw some note on Endeavour that said he keeps those one without the suit just to look intimidating. And damn it. there's always at least one mistake. I'll go correct that. thanks.
Liziliza – Deku too sweet for Endeavour not to subconsciously change a little. Also, fun fact last event was always going to exist, but the cute picture portion was added in later when I realized I could use Tokuda. May have to use him again for a minor future role.
AI-Omicron – I doubt Endeavour will allow Izuku to dye is natural hair (at least not without reason). He just seems like the type of parent to get mad at the sort of thing. As for the onesie he will get a onesie. Don't know when. Kind of know-how but there is no doubt in my mind someone will give him one. Then Endeavour would be on fire from embarrassment.
Dreamer-Sara – Indeed a precious little item. Here is what's next although the next event after this will be something.
A friendly dude – I like the idea of quirkless Deku. It would also be a lot more fun with this current set up. I'm not much of a great writer myself when you look closely. Errors here and there and I could be stronger. English was never my strong suit, but I try my best. And thanks. Good to have some positivity have a good day whenever you see this.
Persephone-Gaia – I assure you. That is exactly what's going on in Endeavour's head. Affection? What's that? Anyway I'm happy to have gotten to use Tokuda. I like that guy I hope he can make a small return in the anime one day.
Knightwalker405 – the boy is fearless, and it is adorable.
See you next time. for the event I refuse to answer any questions about and have been hiding behind the scenes because it's been more or less complete for quite some time. I couldn't help myself this one scene was too prominent in my head for me not to right in down while it was in my head.
