AN: I don't own My hero Academia

A little much

Nothing much changed in the Todoroki family once Izuku finally came out of his room. If anything, they became a lot more doting. Especially his siblings. Natsuo being the most drastic out of the three. While Touya and Fuyumi always doted on his little green brother Natsuo remained most indifferent and at time aggressive. Keeping the child at arm's length, yelling at him to stop following and staring at him with those big green eyes of his. He had softened up over the years. Accepting they were forever stuck with him. Then the quirkless incident happened and the boy's behaviour took a whole one 180. He'd regularly helped the small child up on his chair even if they protest. He'd invites Izuku to play with them without his sister needing to nag him. When they were out on the playground or walking to school, he become a lot more vigilant. To the point he was yelling at a bee to stay away from the lot of them. Even Rei became a lot softer. The change wasn't as drastic, but it was noticeable. The coldness she had around the child thinned. Her smile looked more genuine when she was around him.

By far, the most doting and warry for Izuku, weather he'd liked to admit it or not, was Endeavour. The man always stern with his children, and it was no secrets to his family that he had a clear fondness over the green child. However now, while he used to treat the child with mild curiosity, he was almost hyper focused to their movements. Whenever Izuku was close to tripping, he would somehow always be there to catch him. Telling him off to be more careful. When the boy tried to pet a cat that wandered on his path. Endeavour was there to quickly pick him up telling him it's not good to pick up strays. Whenever his children would go out to play, if he had the time, he would now always go with him. With his paperwork in hand, he'd sit on a bench nearby his children. Frequently, looking up to make sure they were all accounted for.

Things only escalated as Endeavour would outright baby Izuku. Blowing on his food if he thought it was too hot. Cutting up pieces if he thought they were too big. He could potentially choke on them. He even gives the boy extra because he thinks he's way too skinny for a boy his age. Sometimes he'd forced the food in the boy's mouth if he didn't comply. Izuku would in fact regularly complain to his father that he could do all this stuff himself. Of course, the hero did not listen. He was always too prideful to ever listen to anyone. On the plus side the man's antics made dinner a lot less uncomfortable. A lighter mood was set in the Todoroki family household which they welcome.

Endeavour's wariness only continued. When Izuku started to sneeze, the hero would immediately force medicine down his throat. Sometimes even bind him onto his own bed the blankets, tucked so tightly the child couldn't move. When like littlest bit of snow appeared, he usually would not let Izuku out. If he did, he was wrapped the child up in so many layers he his weight increased by 10 pounds. When chores needed to be done Endeavour would place Izuku on simpler tasks like sweeping or polishing the floors. Anything the required height and carrying things were left to himself and his other children. The boy did try to take out his one trash once. He was quickly stopped by Endeavour. He replaced the small trash bag with a broom perfect for the child's size. His siblings always chuckled at his pouting expressions. It gave them more of an excuse to baby, him making his pouty expression more prominent. He'd even whine and playfully hit Touya with his little fist. They feel nothing of course since the child had little to no muscle in his arms. It was cute that he tired. Touya played along one attempt and fell backwards claiming he was in pain. This led to Izuku crying on his knees, sobbing sorry.

Things got a little more serious when their father commissioned a certain item to be made.

Inside their dojo was a clear cubed box with metal rims and some sort of mini keypad on its right side. Inside said box with a plush, green pillow. On top of said pillow sat little Izuku. He looked around the cube in curious awe. It was surprisingly spacious. Really the perfect size for his small body with a little bit of leg room. Although it looked completely out of place for their dojo but that was a small price to pay if it meant the boy's safety.

"How do you feel in there, Izuku?" Fuyumi asked from the other side of the cube.

"It's cosy," Izuku replied. He placed his hands flat on the glass and pushed it as hard as he could. "It's really strong too."

"Well, it's time for the real test," Endeavour said sternly. His arms were crossed; not completely convinced this device was good enough yet. "Now get out of there Izuku."

The child tried to protest. "But if this thing was made to protect me. Shouldn't I stay in it so see if it does."

The hero scowled. "And risk your safety if it turns out to be faulty! I think not. Now stop questioning me and get out form there." Shivering, Izuku did as he was told and hurried out of the box. He cashed into Fuyumi's arms wanting some comfort. With Izuku finally out, the hero's eyes searched for his other child. "Where's Natsuo with that test dummy?"

"Right here dad," the white-haired boy came sliding into the dojo. In his hands was a large piece of broccoli frozen in ice. "I asked mom to freeze it for me to test how heat proof this thing is." Cheekily, he held the broccoli next to his youngest sibling. "Looks just like him don't you think."

Izuku cheeks puffed up red. "I don't look like a broccoli!"

"Yeah, you do," Natsuo teased while poking at the child's puffy freckled cheeks. He was just too easy to tease. "broccoli with extra pepper."

"Enough!" Endeavour stated sternly. His heated glared landed on his children casing them to shiver. "We've already wasted enough time as it if for Touya's training. We don't need you to waste more of it by messing around. Now put that thing in that containment unit already." Natsuo rolled his eyes and grumbled some swears under his breath. Even so he did what he told and threw the iced broccoli into the box. The children were then told to move far way by their father. And by far he meant the other side of the dojo. This left Endeavour and Touya standing side by side. With a firm nod, Endeavour commanded his eldest child to release his flames. "Give it all you got, boy! Don't you dare hold back."

With a war cry that could match his father's, Touya unleased a blaze of red and orange flames on to the box. It was completely engulfed for a good ten seconds. When the fire faded the box didn't have a scratch. Even more impressively the ice around the broccoli didn't melted on bit. The device worked as intended. "Look like it works just fine…"

"Again."

"What?"

Endeavour glowed at the question. "This device needs more testing. Now do it again." Leaving Touya no choice he blasted another round of fire. Over and over until the man was satisfied.

Meanwhile, the other children watched form the background. "I don't get why father is putting me in a box now. He allowed me to watch them train without anything like this before."

"It's for your safety." Fuyumi assured. "We wouldn't want you to get burned if you still want to watch them."

Izuku was not convinced. He knew the real reason. It was because he was quirkless now. His father and the rest of his family wanted his safety. This is because he was too weak to stay safe himself. He couldn't protect himself therefore he needed others to protect him. This thought left a sour taste in the back of his mouth. Will it always be like this?

Then things got worse.

"Izuku, catch!" Natsuo yelled while he threw a red ball at his youngest brother.

Izuku leaned back with his arms wide open to the catch. Stead of catching it smashed right in his face. The forced made him fell backwards.

Unfortunately, Endeavour was a witness. A very biased witness. "Izuku!" He dashed towards the boy and helped him up. He spoked a weak I'm ok but that didn't stop his father form glaring at the other boy. "Natsuo! Apologize" he demanded surprising everyone.

"Father, really I'm ok. It doesn't hurt…"

"That doesn't matter Izuku," the hero snaped back. "Natsuo should know better than to be rough with you. He's you're older brother."

Offended, Natsuo tried to speak up for himself. "I wasn't…"

Endeavour's eyes went dark as the child dared open his mouth. A threatening aura formed around them as they stared condescendingly at the boy. "Are you talking back to me young man?"

Natsuo flinched at his father's roar. The fact he was glaring at him didn't help ease things either. The man had no choice but admit defeat. "I'm sorry, Izuku."

"There. That wasn't so hard. Now this better not happen again." As quickly as he came Endeavour left the children. Not without taking the ball they were playing with to prevent further incidents. The children tried to protest but their father was unwavering. They could find something else to entertain themselves without hit each other with rubber balls. He could hear Izuku cries of sorry behind him but that didn't change his mind. This was for the boy's own good he kept reminding himself. They should know by now that they needed to treat Izuku delicately.

Rei was a witness to the event as well. She had thought that Izuku being quirkless would solve all her problems. Instead, new ones arose. Touya won't talk to her anymore. Her other children seemed fine. More so as time passed, but now they try to exclude her when they wanted to be with Izuku. Then there's Endeavour. In all honesty she didn't know what to think. Just that she needed to talk to her husband.

"Enji, don't you think you're going a little overboard?" The hero turned at the soft-hearted voice of his wife. She looked timid as usual. Her gaze with filled pleads. "The containment unit. Yelling at Natsuo. Not letting Izuku do anything physical anymore. Or go outside the estate. I understand you are worried. We all are, but don't you think you're being a little restrictive?"

Endeavour's blood started to boil. This woman had no right to say the words she dared to sprout out of her mouth. He growled with fury, "you say you understand. And you're worried as well. Forgive me if my memory seems a bit off. If I recall correctly, you were quite pleased that Izuku turned out to be so weak. Why should you worry? You got what you wanted."

The woman bit her lip. It took all the courage in her not to run away right then and there. "Izuku is still one of my children, isn't he? As his mother I have the right to worry."

"And as a father and a hero I have the right to protect him," Endeavour countered while sizing up the women. Rei was forced to back down from fear. Cowering in the massive shadow of Endeavour. She could never get over how intimidating her husband was. Especially when he glares at her with heated eyes. "That containment unit was an item I commissioned to ensure Izuku doesn't get burned during mine and Touya's training session. Since he's still so insisting, this was the only compromise I could think of. If I had it my way, he would never set foot in the dojo again. And Natsuo is the older sibling. He should know better than to be rough with Izuku. He's far too delicate for rough housing."

"They were playing ball," Rei countered. "I would hardly call that rough housing."

"And yet Izuku got hurt none the less."

"He only fell off balance and they're children. They're bond to get a little hurt every once and awhile."

"What kind of weak excuse is that! Besides, Izuku isn't like the others. He doesn't have anything that could help protect him…"

There was a creak of a door opening and closing. Pairs of footsteps stomped across the floors. Soon within view the parents could see their children tiptoeing along. Something was off. Their three eldest walled in their youngest tightly. As if they wanted to hide him. The looks on their faces didn't help to ease their mind. Fuyumi's face was scrunched up in nerves. Her eyes doted around frantically. Touya kept a calm a steady outer composure but there was this blaze in his eyes. He was ready to punch something. Natsuo was the most expressive. His teeth grided togethering in a growing frown. His eyes burned with such frustration. Hell, even one of his hands was balled in a tight fist. He looked ready to punch someone.

Noticing how late his children were, Endeavour matched up to them. Rei follow warily behind. The raging aura their father gave out did not go unnoticed. Each of them stopped and huddled even closer together. "Were have you lot been? You're late." The children glanced amongst themselves. Silently, asking the others what they should do now. Their silence did not please Endeavour one bit. "What? Have you gotten yourselves into trouble?" He half joked. The real concern came when the children remained silent. Their frantic faces told him that he hit the nail on the head. Endeavour face became deadpanned. His eyes were opened wide, scanning the children thoroughly for answers. "What happened?"

Touya was the one to step forward. His arms were opened wide as he ensures that his boy still covered Izuku. "Father…before you freak out. You have to promise me you'll stay calm."

The boy's choice of words failed. The hero yanked his eldest son out of the way. What he saw…was blood boiling. Izuku's body was pressed against Fuyumi's waist for comfort. His uniform was a mess. Smeared with dirt and slightly tattered. Like something clawed at him. He had cuts running across his knees that were horrifically fresh. Along his legs were patches of purple and grey of all sizes. Worst of all the boy's eyes were red. Puffed up with tears and… was that a heavy black eye? Endeavour bit his lip. Who? Who dared to do this to his child? Containing his anger behind the thinnest pane of glass, Endeavour Knelt down to meet his youngest son's eyes. "Izuku, what happened?"

Izuku said nothing. Instead, he shamefully turned away and buried his face in his sister clothes.

Endeavour asked again. "I asked you a question. Izuku, what happened." The rage in his tone grew more as a threat.

Izuku still remain quiet. He didn't want to say a word.

Natsuo couldn't take the tension any longer, so blurted out what the others were so sacred to say. "I'll tell you what happened, Izuku got attacked by the other brats in his class!" He yelled with all the spite he was holding back. "I don't know exactly what happened. I got there at the tail end, but Izuku wasn't at the gates where he waits for us. We went looking for him and I found him surrounded! Those brats were kicking at him and calling he names. What's worst I don't think this is the first time." The boy shot a pair of frustrated eyes at his younger brother. He didn't know what he hatted more. Himself for not noticing sooner. Or Izuku for not saying a word. "Is it, Izuku?" He spat.

The young boy hid himself further. His black eye peeked out at them. "It's…not that bad."

Not that bad…NOT THAT BAD! The sheer amount of rage flowing through the hero was shared among his children. There was no way they could consider this not that bad. This was unacceptable.

"You can't let them get away with this, dad." Fuyumi yelled while cuddling Izuku. She felt like she could break into tears which she did. "This is just too much." Her brothers jumped in frantic agreement. They couldn't let an incident like this slide.

Neither could Endeavour. "Izuku. I want names."

Timidly, Izuku perked up. "what?"

"I want the names of the ones who did this to you. You know them, right?"

The boy's face was painted with pure panic. "No, father. Please don't do anything!"

"And why shouldn't I!" The hero roared at his child. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't burn those brats to the crisp!"

"Because I don't want them to say more mean things about father!" The child cries and reasons baffled the Todorokis. That's why he didn't want to say anything? It was such a pure and silly reason. More tears fell down the boy's Freckled cheeks as his chest hiccupped with each breath. "Everyone's so means to father. Saying that he's a bad hero. I wanted them to stop, and they laughed. They said I was a waste of space because I'm quirkless. That's why my parents threw me away. I'm only here to make father look good but that's not true. If anything, I may father look bad. I tried to fight back but couldn't. I'm so weak. I didn't want to bother anyone because I'm so useless."

Touya couldn't take it anymore. He quickly scooped up his brother and bounced him up and down. Allowing him to cry on his shoulder. "Izuku no, no, no. You're not a bother. You should have told us this was happening as soon as it did."

Then, Endeavour took him from his son and held him close. Silly child. Wanting to protect some brats just so they wouldn't have more reasons to talk badly about him. Wanting to fight them for his honour even though it was pointless. He had nothing to fight back with, yet he did it anyway. Honestly it was an unnecessary touching gesture. This child…this foolish, weak, quirkless child. They were something he desperately needed to protect. No matter the cost. "Fine. I won't do anything to them if that's what you want."

His other children were up in arms. "You can't really mean that. You look at what they did! You can't let him go back there."

"He won't be going back," Endeavour said, confusing his other family members. Like hell he was going to let Izuku go back there after this. He's not going anywhere. Not if there was a chance that something like this would happen again. He'll stay here where it's safe. Where he was protected. This was the only one solution. "From now on Izuku will be home schooled. I'll search for a suitable private tutor. I won't allow any other brats to bully my child."

The others were shocked. They knew what this really met. Aside from school Izuku hasn't been allowed out of the Todoroki estate. The hero had been restrictive the child more and more to the point he wasn't allowed to go to their local playground after falling off a swing. School was the only time he could go out freely without his father's strict supervision. Now that too was taken away. The estate has become Izuku's safe cage. "Do you think that's a little much?" Rei tried to protest. "How is Izuku going to make any friends if you just keep him here?"

"If the price of Izuku safety is the cost of lack of friends, then that is a small price to pay. Besides he still has Touya and the rest of them, doesn't he?" The hero replied coldly while carrying the child away.

Then Izuku even tried to protect. "But father…"

"But nothing Izuku," the hero spat harshly. He forced their eyes to meet. Izuku's were still swollen in tears while Endeavour's were heated with pure rage. "This is for your safely. Do you understand?"

Izuku's eyes dulled as he dropped his head in defeat. "I understand, father." He really was useless if his father would go so far to not allow him outside. A porcelain, useless doll that needed constant protection. That's what he was to the man.

AN: you know I feel like these last few events can be summed up like this:

Rei: Yes, he's quirkless!

Endeavour: (throws down a reverse) I will not abandon this child.

Rei: What! But that…

Izuku: (Crying. Put's down a plus 2 pity points) ehhhh…hiccup. I'm sad.

Rei:…ok I guess this is fine. Touya can't be replaced anyway. So, I'll be nice.

Endeavour: (throws down a wild) I will never let Izuku out of the house again.

Rei: That is way too much (challenges)

Endeavour: (challenge it fails. Plus 6 karma points to Rei.) you dare call yourself a mom.

Rei: …you kidnap one child.

Anyway, I ways imagined endeavour to be an overprotective parent and I was right this time. Manga readers you've seen it. if he did that to Shouto imagine what he'd do for his beloved weak quirkless son. It's Miss Benson form iCarly but less crazy and more aggressive. If there's even the slightest chance Izuku could get hurt, he won't allow it. I know a few of you want Izuku to be train by him but I can't see him doing it willingly. He'll be too worried the child would hurt himself. Izuku will go along with it. He loves and respects his father too much not to go along with it.

CAD270895 – that is a question for another day.

Yinasuka – (looking at this event) yeah... Things were never going to be easy. Don't know how you feel about Endeavour now. the man is learning.

WakumiReiss – I knew at least one person would fight me on the 'no' answer. I already explained this but to summaries it's in character for him. Bonus it makes for an interesting conflict and scenarios in the future.

hiraishin101 – thanks but you'll have to stick around to find out. Izuku's path has been decided tho.

Kelstar159 – I'll put it this way. Endeavour is only soft on Izuku. Everyone else is still the same if only a little gentler. As for momo no. She may make an appearance but not as a childhood friend.

Drawman98 – well…that moment is now a little bitter…at least you enjoyed the last event.

Dreamer-Sara – you're not wrong. I'm sorry if a damped that happiness a little bit.

Liziliza – well it's going to be a while before Izuku completely decides. That useless comment has come back to haunt him. lowering his expectations for himself.

Benji the Monocat – you're instincts are interesting to me.

Funny-Little-Cute White Fox – One for all…I say nothing to this. But things in the Todoioki family are going to be a little bit hectic moving forward. Not so sure how all of you will feel about endeavour in this one and moving forward.

Entomoid – I say you're really undermining Izuku's talent. Sure, he's one of the few that can obtain OFA but saying that his only worth is kind of insulting. And who said anything about him getting it in this AU. Just saying. I'm not the type of author that doesn't like to stick to the original cannon too much.

fencer29 – you're right. this situation was never going to be easy for anyone. Endeavour was never going to be the perfect parent. Not even for Izuku. There are still some things he needs to work on. As much as he does believe Izuku can be something else and do well he's still worried that he'd hurt himself.

WolfCerberus – yeah! I like being in character and no matter how many times I ran this scenario in my head Endeavour's answer was always a No. As for Izuku he'll choose one day. He just need confidence. As of now pro hero is off the table. Emphasis on pro.

Legion S010 - …interpret that how you will.

Alpha Therapy – fair enough. Rei did kind of try this event. I argue she a little more stable now that she doesn't have to stress about the possibility of Izuku replacing Touya. Making her children redundant. Reading this makes me hopefully you'll like my upcoming wild card. I'll be honest I'm kind of fearing people's reactions. Either way I hope I don't disappoint.

Knightwalker405 – that's not exactly what I meant but I should be fun. And thanks, it seems I've did justice to endeavours character. Although I think this event sower things a bit.

A friendly dude – at least you had fun.

Dreamaholicme – those are some bold words but thanks. Hope you don't mind saying for a while. It's going to be a long one.

Next time I'm going to do something that I don't know how anyone will react. It will be fun for me, but I don't know about you guys. please let me have this. I'm probably the only one that's going to thoroughly enjoy this on coming wild card. I can still hope you're entertained.
