AN: I don't own My hero Academia

I won't stop

Since that hectic event Touya and Izuku gave each other the cold shoulder. Izuku no longer goes to the training room during his brother's sessions. Choosing to be with his other siblings or by himself. Touya doesn't even look at Izuku. Completely ignoring him. Izuku copied and grew bitter with his brother. He even started fighting back yelling back when they fought. It was a stressful sight for the other family members. They couldn't even be in the same room together anymore. It was a nightmare. Endeavour complained about how childish his eldest son was acting but the boy snapped back without a care. Rei tried to reason with both have they talk things out but neither cared to listen. Even Arata tired his luck but even he was unable to quell the raging fire between the two boys.

Occasionally, Izuku would give his own retorts to Touya's dagger words. It only grew animosity between them. No one in the Todoroki family knew what to do. None of them has ever seen a fight like this. Not even their parents were this bad. At least they yell it out, walk away and then turn like nothing was too wrong. Their fights never lasted this long. It was insane as well as exhausting. He mood around their family home was downright suffocating. Something must be done to end this hostile cold war.

So, Fuyumi and Natsuo took the initiative to try after suffering through this intense atmosphere for weeks. They hunted down their oldest brother and dragged him outside of Izuku's room. That was where the youngest spent the most of his time recently. Barely leaving his room unless necessary or bored. Taking either arm of their older brother, Fuyumi and Natsuo dropped the reluctant Touya before Izuku's door. "Will you two just make up already!" Natsuo yelled between the close door and Touya. "You're killing us all with your stupid fight."

Fuyumi's hold on her brother tightened as she begged: "Please, this has gone on long enough."

"I don't have anything to say to that idiot," Touya spat. "Everything I said was true anyway." His voice booming lounder so it reached beyond the doors.

It did since the boy got a snappy response back. "Touya's the real dummy for never telling father the truth. He's too afraid that father would call him weak like me!"

"I am not weak! Take that back you…"

Touya's voice was then muffed when Fuyumi slapped her hand over his mouth. "stop it both of you. Your acting worse than our parents and that's honestly saying at lot. At least they try and be civil. Can't you to do the same? Were siblings we can talk things out."

"What she said," Nastuo agreed while stepping in front of Touya and firmly place a hand on their shoulders. His grip tightened with every sentence. "I know you've been really stress. If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at dad for putting you through that. Izuku was just trying to help, right? You don't have to be like this to our little bro."

"He is not my real brother!" Both of them yelled. The Touya broke out of his siblings hold and just walked away. Both Natsuo and Fuyumi groaned at their own failure. Neither of them knew how much more they could take.

Meanwhile, their parents were surprisingly having a calm conversation about the happenings with their oldest and youngest sons. Either of them knew what they were doing either. Both hoped that the children would sort out whatever beef they suddenly had with each other out. It was tiring seeing them glare and yell at each other almost every day. Was this how their children felt whenever they fought? That didn't matter now. What did was how to help stop this fight from escalating further. Although they doubted either child would lay a hand on each other it was still a worry that pop into their minds.

Endeavour let out a heavy sigh. The headache he was having was growing by the day. "I can't believe they're still at it. They were so close when they were younger. How could this have happened?"

Rei sighed with her hands around a warm cup. It's soft flagrance only relaxed her frantic thoughts for a moment. She took a sip of the tea hoping that would help calm her further. "I don't know. I've never seen Touya go off like that to the other children and Izuku is such a soft child."

"Maybe we can force them in the same room to talk whatever they have out."

"But what if things get physical? I don't think it would but with the way things are going."

"I can't imagine Touya attacking any of the kids either, but you do have a point. Izuku won't fair well if things go that far. We need to prevent that at all coasts."

For once Rei agreed with her husband. Something must be done and something soon. "I just wish I knew what caused them to fight like this."

"Perhaps I could be of service to that." Both parents squeaked a scream. Somehow without them noticing, Arata entered the kitchen and stood between them. He greeted them both with a weak smile as they rightfully asked why he was there to begin with. "This fight with Izuku and your eldest has greatly hampered with his education progress. As his teacher it is my job to help him get back on track. So, I did a little snooping and found this under his mattress." The man held out a worn notebook. It wasn't just any notebook. It was Izuku's original one. The one that held mainly random notes and findings about the Todoroki family and Arata near the end. He flicked it open. "I'd like to apologies first. I was concentrating on… other matters" his eyes shifted to Rei who quickly gulped down her tea when their eyes met. "So much so I didn't notice your sons destress. If I had perhaps things would be different. Even so I think I understand the case of Touya's sudden transgression and in turn Izuku's. There are notes in Touya's passage that are…eye opening." Then he gave the book to endeavour at said passage.

The hero accepted the book and skimmed through the pages. As he read deeper, he began to understand as well. His blood boiled red. He could hardly contain his rage at the fact his children tried to hide this from him. Smoke poured out form his ears as he is face lit up with wild flames. "Touya Todoroki!"

Endeavour called his eldest son to the training room. A private place that no one could enter. Especially, at this moment. The father and son pair stared each other down as if they were going to break out into a full-on brawl. Eventually, Touya was the first to break it, "is there something you want from me?"

Holding back his growl of displeasure, Endeavour threw the open notebook at his son. "Explain yourself."

Confused, Touya skimmed through the pages and was shocked at what he read. It was Izuku's observations and his constant concerns with the usage of Touya's fire quirk. How it unnaturally burns him and how he's been trying to pretend everything was ok. That the burn marks never hurt but then did. They really did. It went on and on about how desperate he was to hide it from his father. How he told Izuku not to say a word about it. It even went on to claim that Touya would never get the tolerance required to properly use it. There was even a part about his growing white hair could be caused by stress. "I can't believe he wrote all this!" Touya yelled. It took every fibre of his being not to rip the book into shreds. "Don't listen to this crap, dad. I can handle my quirk and body just fine. Izuku is just over exaggerating."

"Is he? Is he really?" Endeavour questioned with a raised firm tone. The man grumbled. He couldn't believe his children were hiding something this crucial away from him. "Touya, I've turned a blind eye to your burns because you keep telling me you could handle them. I wouldn't have if it wasn't believable." He sighed heavily while remembering his younger days. Back then he didn't have nearly as strong of a heat tolerance as he did now. It was only through intense training where his body was forced to a breaking point was, he able to produce the amount of heat he can now and no burn himself. They were rare now, but he used to get burn constantly back then. It hurt but he knew he could take it. "I was like you when I was younger you know. I upped my fire tolerances daily and got burns myself. I thought since your fire was stronger than my own that was the reason you had more burns than I ever did. It never occurred to me that you couldn't handle it."

"I can handle it!" Touya retorted viciously. His eyes began to dilate while is twitching erratically. "No one knows my body batter than me. If I say I can handle it. I can handle," his usual calm persona was completely gone. Replaced by the fury and what can only be depicted as madness. "I can do this. The marks aren't even that big."

Endeavour's eyes widen as those words that scratched his ears. "What?" Hurriedly, he grabbed his son's arm and dragged his long sleeves down. His eyes homed in on the burn marks spots. They were small but that wasn't the concerning thing. They were permanent. The skin on the area was charred to a pure wrinkled scar, completely dried out of any life. Turning into a garish purple. Endeavour never had a problem of permanent burn marks. Some lasted longer than others but never like his. It was becoming crystal clear to him that he made a mistaken. It's time to put an end to this. His hands balled to a fist while a few flame flicks popped out. He didn't know what he was angry at more. His sons for not telling him this sooner. Or himself for failing to notice for this long. "Touya. I'm ending your training."

Touya's eyes widen in disbelief at what he heard. He snatched his arm away and yelled at his father. "You can't do that to me! You can! I worked too hard for too long to stop now."

Endeavour took up forcing his body to cast a shadow down on his son. He glared down at him with a booming voice. "if you continue down this path those burns will surely get worst. It's clear to me something is wrong. Your body can't handle your flames. Will need to see a doctor."

"I don't need a doctor!"

"Don't argue with me boy," Endeavour bellowed with the full extent of his rage. He stepped forward showing off his power with flames flowing form his face. "I am your father. You will listen to me."

Touya bid his lip back. Was he to admit defeat here? Be complacent like his mother and just accept the facts. Just nod his head and yes ok like a good boy. He could never surpass All Might. Nor could he surpass his father. He was a failure. He was a weakling. He was now useless. Was he really supposed to lay down happily and accept everything he has done all these years was a complete waste of time! No. He won't allow that. He can't allow that. "No."

Endeavour eyes flared up with the challenge. "No?" He growled back with just a much aggression as his son.

"No…I won't be thrown away like this." Touya's body began to heat up. He could feel it. The rage inside of him bubbling to the surface like an inferno. The heat flared throughout his skin. Every single inch of it. He felt a tingle. A sizzling a kind to an itch. It wouldn't go away. He wouldn't let it go away. "Father was the one who chose this path for me. He was the one to ignite this flame within me. You can't just take that and make all the work I put into it up to now mean nothing!" His fist balled up tight. Soon enough both of Touya's arms were engulfed with a sudden display of flames. Their golden orange hue morphed into a new colour. A bight shade of blue. They ate away at his body till they consumed him completely. Even his eyes looked like they were on fire. Glowing brighter than ever before. "I don't care about my scars. I can and will still do this."

Sunned, Endeavour was a loss for words. The flames that surrounded his son were hotter than any flames he produced thus far. He dared say the boy surpass even his own heat. He would be impressed if it weren't for the fact Touya's body was burning along with those flames. The marks on his skin soon grew like an infection. Panic settled in. "Touya, you have to stop that."

"Shut up!" Touya screamed out like a war roar. "I won't stop," he whimpered. It almost sounded like he was crying. Even if he was those tears would be quickly evaporated away by the sheer amount of heat he was producing. "I won't ever stop." His flames blazed out even larger. The blazed forced his father to his keens while he held his arms up to protect his eyes from the fire's radiances. Nearly the entire train room was drowned by the heat and light of Touya flames. It was a miracle nothing caught on fire even with the fire protect layers the room was design with. What did burn was Touya's skin. Smoke poured out from them along with this recognisable sent of burning. Even the red of his hair was burn way. Turned to a brilliant white.

Izuku was passing through the hallways. He was hungry and wanted a snack. Hopefully, Touya wasn't in the kitchen so he could snack in pace. Then he noticed something off. A surge of heat blazed through one hallway. He looked down it. He knew that hallway. The train room was down there, and the paper screen was it up by a blue light. Then the scent of smoke entered his nose a long with a horrifying familiar sent. The worst-case scenario entered his mind.

Forgetting his hunger Izuku turned around and started yelling at the top of his lugs. "Mom! Fuyumi! Natsuo! Get the hose and hurry to the training room! Something happened!"

Endeavour could do nothing. The sheer power of Touya's flames stunned him, but not as much as his words. His son was becoming more erratic. Repeating over and over certain phrases:

'I won't give up.'

'You can't make me.'

'I won't be a failure.'

'I can't stop me'.

'You did this to me."

It was haunting. Those words echoed around them as the fires blazed on. The hero was shaken. His body stiffed by an unknown feeling. It coiled around his muscles trapping him in place. All he could do was watch the time slip by as his son burned himself. Soon the phrases jumbled and formed into one clear phrase:

"It hurts!" Touya shrieked as he fell to his keens. Somehow this made his flames grew wilder. He held himself. Forcing his long sleeves up while rubbing his arm. The marks that he had before were growing to a concerningly rapid degree. "It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!"

Endeavour couldn't even begin to explain what he was feeling. Or attempt to comprehend what to do. It was like something was tearing at this heart. His soul. His very being. No words could escape his mouth. They were all dried up by his son's pain and rage. It's been so long since he felt this…useless. A word he hated so much. Useless. No matter how hard he tired he could never do so many things right. He could never be like his sibling. He could never get his own fathers' approval. He could never be the best in his chosen profession. Any energy he had to move drained away. It was useless. All so useless. Now he can't even stop his own son from burning up. He was useless… so useless.

Slam!

"Fire!"

Out of nowhere a jet of water shot out from the door. Form the corner of Endeavour's eye he saw a tuft of green. "Izuku?"

The little green boy was holding onto the hose head the best he could. With the amount of pressure water the hose was giving, it was a wonder how his small body was able to handle that power. He was clearly struggling to keep the thing steady, but he kept it aiming at his target. Touya. When the water hit him, it didn't soak them as much as he would have liked. The older boy's flames were too powerful for the water to affect him. Even before it hit his body, they turned into water vapor. That soon dried up within seconds allowing the room to still be dominated by heat and fire.

Soon Natsuo stumbled into the room. He was jaw dropped by the intense scene, but Izuku snapped him out of it with an elbow jab. He told him to help him keep the hose steady. So, the boy griped the head and pressed the handled with Izuku to keep the constant flow of water going.

Then Rei and Fuyumi followed. They too froze in shock until Izuku yelled them out of It. "Mom! Fuyumi! Use your ice to cool the water. Don't freeze it. We need a flow of water. Anything to put out Touya's flames."

The two of them nodded and rushed in front of the boys. They made a ring with their hands around the jet of water and activated their quirks. They only needed a little bit. It was enough to cool the room from the extreme heat, but the fire raged on.

"It's not enough." Natsuo complained. "We need more."

"Coming at you," called the voice of Arata down the hallway. A second hose glowing with blue snaked up above the family and shot another blaze of water. Rei reach one arm up at the new source of water and chilled it alongside the other. "I found a second hose. It was a little broken, but my quirk can help it stop leaking. Tell me if I'm aiming right or re-line the head. My quirk should be lacks enough for you do to do that."

"It's fine where it is," Rei yell with tears in her eyes. "Just please, keep doing whatever you're doing."

Thanks to the added waterpower and the cooling ice power of Rei and Fuyumi the room was finding an equilibrium. It was no longer the blazing desert it once was. Even so it wasn't enough to calm Touya's flames. The boy completely lost it. Unlocking the power of his flames without limitations. Even if the cool water hit his body, it wasn't enough for him to feel it. He was still deep with his own dark thoughts. Not even his family yelling his name was enough to snap him out of that. Izuku gritted his teeth and yelled as loudly as he could: "Touya, if you can hear me you need to calm down."

Touya did hear him. He did nothing. His own flames only grew. "It hurts." He did say although his voice was getting weaker. As if he was about to give up.

Izuku tried to yell even louder. "Touya, if your quirk works like father's then it's connected to your emotions. You need to let go of them." Still, he didn't get a response.

"Mom, I'm scared," Fuyumi cried while she tried to keep her quirk steady. The panicked girl started to cry as she too was slowly losing hope. "Touya. We can't stop…"

"Don't say stupid crap like that," Natsuo yelled with a siffle. "If we give up now what's going to happen to Touya?"

He'll die…that was the phase that quietly whispered in all their heads. They didn't want to believe it. Yet they knew deep down that is where this road would lead to. It was all the could think about expect for one. Izuku's mind raced with other thoughts. They needed to calm Touya somehow but for that to happen they needed to reach him…that's it. That was the only way. He just needed to reach him. His eyes shifted to his father. The man's mouth was gaped while opened at the sight of all of them attacking Touya the best they could. It was now. Or never.

"Father!" Izuku snapped as he let go of the hose. "Help Natsuo hold this for me." Then he dashed off.

Snapping out of his daze, Endeavour reacted fast as well. Now with no one to help stable the first hose Natsuo was starting to lose his control over it. The hose joisted in all types of directions until Endeavour grabbed hold of it and steady his son. His attention then turned to Izuku who was running straight for Touya. "Izuku, what are you doing!"

The man's yell left on death ears. Izuku had zero intention of stopping. The heat of the fire roared with might. Slashing at his delicate skin. Not even that stopped him. Any bit of fear the child had was push back to the deepest parts of his mind. Completely overtaken by one pure desire. The desire to save by any means necessary. "Touya!" Izuku leaped headfirst into Touya's flames. The heat was intense the closer he got. He could feel his skin cracking. His hair singed. That didn't matter. He just needed to reach out. What happens after was not important.

Snatched.

"Ahhhh!" The pain was instant and immense. There was no way to hide it as the child firmly gripped the boy's flaming arms. Despite ever muscles of his body telling him to let go he never did. Not when he's so close. "Touya!"

Finally, Touya was snapped back to his sense. His eyes readjusted themselves until he could clearly see Izuku crying face before him. Although, the child's tears were quickly burning up by the heat of his flames. "What are you doing? Let go of me," he said both concerned and confused. What was happening again?

"Not until you calm down." Izuku said back tightening his grip on his brother's arms. They regained consciousness thank god. He just needed them to stop now.

Touya looked at the boy as if he was crazy. He was staring to recall what was happening. He got angry and started to burn up. The pain of his flames soon kicked in. It really hurt but he couldn't stop it. He tried but the flames kept coming. How could he possibly be calm in this situation? "How do you expect me to do that? I tired turning them off, but they won't go way. I can't stop. Now let go. You're going to burn yourself."

"NO!"

Touya growled at the young boy's refusal. "Stop being stubborn!"

Of course, Izuku refused and tighten his hold despite the pain and heat. "I'm trying to help you!"

That just mad Touya angrier. His flames grew more as he yelled back at the young boy: "I don't need your help!"

"I don't care!" Izuku snapped back. If it wasn't for the heat burning his tears away, he would look like a sobbing mess right now. Touya could still picture it. The endless stream of tears his little brother cried. "I'm going to help. No matter how much you don't want it!" he yelled through his pain gritted teeth. "Touya has an amazing quirk but it hurts his body. Even with this fact I still think Touya can become an amazing hero!" Izuku head dropped while he tried to pull Touya a little closer towards him. The flames flickered at his cheek heating them up to absurd degree. Little marks started to show amongst his painted freckled red face. "I don't like it when you're hurt. It makes me sad. If I can find and figure out ways to stop that or lessen it. Then I know Touya will be amazing! Even better than father!"

The flames around Touya dimed. The rage in his heart was cooled by Izuku's heartfelt words. What really sold it to him was the boy's eyes. Weather it was because of the reflected light of the fire or they were naturally that bright they glowed with such pure sincerity. Bit by bit the flames died down. "Izuku…"

While the flames weakened, Izuku never once let go. Little hands still firmly clawed at the boy's scorching arms. "I won't let go. I won't stop helping. Even if Touya hates me. I won't ever stop! So shut up and let me do this!"

At that point the Touya's killer flames subsided. Both boys were heavily drenched in cold water. They found themselves collapsed on the wooden floor. Hot steam filled the room due the too lingering heat of Touya's body. Throughout all this Izuku kept his word and never let go of Touya. Both boys were exhausted. It was even painful to breath. Their eyes met for a moment. Seeing his brother's flames were gone, Izuku smiled weakly. Finally, it was over. Touya gave a weak smile in return. Yes, it was all over.

Then both boys ended a world of darkness

AN: I'll like to go back to a line back in chapter 10: "But Touya and father would never burn me, right?"…Isn't irony a beautiful thing.

This event turned out to be three major cannon events rolled into one. The sludge villain, the scar incident and Touya burning himself. Still very different and before anyone asked yes. I had complete intention to have Touya be the one to burn Izuku. This was planned out since the very beginning. I had three options:

Rei was way too obvious and won't be impactful. It works with Shoto because he loved her. Her burning his eye was the cementing his hatred towards his father, his flames and started his rebellion phase. Her burning Izuku would mean nothing since Izuku already dislikes her and she dislikes him. There's little chance of her being regretful and Izuku would hate her more. Most of her family members would turn against her. Especially, at this point since they know she's not there in the head and label her as unredeemable and crazy. This was just such a boring option to me. That didn't mean I wouldn't use the opportunity to mess with you all a bit.

Endeavour would have been a little more interesting, but I can only see it done as an accident. He would be so regretful and do one of two things. Distance himself form Izuku. Or be even more overly protective. I see a quirk ban in the house with this reality.

Touya…he was beyond perfect. Him and Izuku already have such a loving bond. Them hurting the other would be something they and readers could never imagine until in happened. This had impact and present two more options. Villainy or No. I picked no. While it would be interesting to do a 'I'm going to go save my brother story' I thought it would be a lot more fun to have Endeavour face the consequences of his actions head on then having them disappear for years. That and have such a wonderful act of love and stupid bravery on Izuku's part. The smart option would have been to tell Endeavour to do it since he has fire resistances but nah. Izuku still has a hero's spirit.

Although I feel like this event was a little fast pace. Maybe that's just me since I made this kind of in a rush.

Anyway, I think this might be the last one I'm going to do before exam season hits. Which I'm fine with. It was either this big cliff-hanger or this completed mini arc. I might still be able to make the next event for next week but no promises. Hope you'll all stick around.

Harleking31 – Arata maybe strong but that's just the quirk. all quirks have with weakness. Not sure which 'him' you're referring to. I assume it's Touya. If that's the case you have your answer.

Cyber-RK18 – I will answer both. God damn it Touya. And…(looks at the list). Ask me this again when I reach Shoto.

A friendly dude – hum…well fare thee well then. Good luck with life.

fencer29 – yeah it truly rained fire. Although this may have happened faster than you make have thought. Apologies if this was a little fast although it's not quite over yet. Bracing for the storm is one thing. Living and dealing with the aftermath is another.

Alpha Therapy – oh wow. Well first of all Izuku will gain his confidence. There are just certain steps I need to take for I like my slow build up and this is going to be a very long project. Some steps have been taken. Endeavour saying he's not useless and can be something else. Arata giving the options of that something else and started the flames of rebellion. And the discovery of his strongest talent. While I won't say much about my other steps the last step involves Touya.

A movie night would be cute and the movie suggestions oddly matches someone important. At least to Arata. Whether or not I decide to do anything about it remains to be seen. My season 2 list is very jam pack at the moment and this season is coming to an end. Although I could do a movie night in one of the planned events. Also, good luck with your own endeavours.

Liziliza- well here's your answer. Also, yes. Arata is brutal. The difference between him and Endeavour though is he's used to teaching children and knows their limitations.

Jhspzhihzahyk – I'm not offended but wow you make it sound like Izuku is going to be in this situation forever. He really isn't. It's just a very slow climb. His pathway is very concrete nothing is going to change it for me. But I'll throw you all a bone since a lot of you are worried. It involves: Parkour, inventing, analysis, a very good understanding of the art of war, mix martial arts, going behind Endeavour's back and cheerleading.

Celestial Space –Shoto will come when he comes. He and Bakugo are frenemies.

Dreamer-Sara - considering the ending of this event pretty much.

Guest - because drama.

…next time I will do something some may not be happy with.
