AN: I don't own my hero academia

I am... Slam!

It was like every other day in the Todoroki household. The sun was beaming down the gaps of the windows. Bird chirping their songs outside. In the middle of their garden were some human-size straw dummies on a stick planted to the ground. On their chests was a target board. Its head was tapped with a cruelly drawn monster face in black crayon.

On the other side of the garden was the eldest Todoroki child in a more breathable tank top and shorts. His already weak to heat body was thankful for the lack of fabric. Even more so with the sun blazing down above him. He held his palm out while using his other arm to steady it. Slow and calm breaths flowed through his lugs. His eyes aimed dead sight to the target. Stay calm. Relax your muscles. And aim a little higher than the target shot. Soon a small blue flame ignited in his palm. It formed into a small sphere collecting and expanding the heat from within. Suddenly, BOOM! The fire launched itself out from his hands and landed end on to the target leaving behind scorch marks.

A clap could be heard next to him. "Not bad, your aim has improved," his father said proudly.

Touya grinned while blowing the smoke off his palms. "This is nothing."

"Oh really?" Enji grinned back almost challengingly. Today was his turn for training although he changed things up from the previous training schedule. While he was still teaching his son basic combat and fire control, he has levelled up the skill set. One way was manoeuvring with his flames. Things like melting into walls and using what remains as a ledge stepping place. You could find odd melting rock formations by the mountainside as proof. Other ways were simple propulsion which Touya exceled at. Perhaps due to the stronger flames giving him more acceleration energy. On the downside, it was much harder for the boy to control. He had face-planted into so many things that they started from imprints of his face. Lastly, there were projectiles. Enji wasn't that good and preferred hand to hand, but it is good to have a range in your combat arsenal. Fortunately, Touya was a fast learner. "If you're so confident then let's get some moving targets."

Meanwhile, sitting far away on the second floor, Izuku curiously peeked out the window with his notebook at the ready. He watched from the safety of the higher room. He much preferred this to his glass box. It was getting a little too tight for him now. While he jotted down some new notes, he heard a heavy sigh next to him. He glanced over at Tenko. They wore a frown all day and grumpily kicked at nothing. Apparently, Arata was running late so he didn't come at their usual time. They called up earlier saying so and the child looked down since. "Don't be sad, Tenko. Arata sensei will be here."

Tenko blushed a bit as his finger tranced at the floorboards. Then there was a sudden ding on the door. His head instantly perked up. "He's here."

"That can't be Arata sensei. He never knocks or rings the bell. He just comes in," Izuku said confused making the other child frown. It was true. Instead of waiting at the gates or the front door, he would let himself in somehow. They never truly question how he'd walked in without a key. More so Enji stopped questioning it since the man never gave him a straight answer and grew accustom enough to allow it.

Enji heard the ringing too and got curious. "I'll go see who it is," He announced while telling the children to stay where they were.

Enji made his way to the front gates and knew for sure it couldn't be Arata. The ringing continued as annoying as they were. They also sounded oddly polite. Loud enough to get anyone's attention inside. Only sounding in every few intervals to make time for anyone to answer. He yelled that he was coming, and the ringing soon stopped. How odd. He unlocked the door and couldn't believe his eyes.

You could almost hear the heroic music as the door slid up to reveal someone Eiji never expected to see. Nor wanted to see. Their massive frame greeted him first along with their annoying face. Smiling as usual. Blindingly. Although, it was nice that his eyes didn't have to be subjected to the loud colour scheme of their usual costume. It didn't help the fact he didn't want to see them at all. The most obnoxious thing of all, they greeted him by flexing.

The heroic music grew into a crescendo as the man heartily greeted, "Good morning, Endeavour! I am…"

Slam!

The over-the-top music thankfully stopped as Enji slammed the door shut. Ah, the peace and quiet. He was sure it was nothing. There was no way that eyesore would come to his home. He was just imagining things.

Knock, knock.

Hesitantly, Enji opened the door again. The sight didn't change. The eyesore was still there, unfortunately. "So, I'm not imagining things," he sighed in disappointment.

"It's good to see you too, Endeavour," All Might greeted with a laugh. Yes, for some undoubtedly stupid reason the number 1 hero was at the number…well 6th hero's doorstep. Even if he was out of costume with green tight fitted pants and a simple white T-shirt. It was easy to tell it was him. The golden blonde hair with two strands that defied gravity. How he kept those things so perfect was a mystery. Like that smile. It's like he shined them with starlight with those teeth sparkle. Of course, there were the man's signature blue eyes. Light and bright as the sky itself.

Enji hummed as he looked up and down at the hero. "…I can't say the same."

Slam! The other slam for the hero again. Whatever they wanted, he didn't want anything to do with it.

Knock, knock. Too bad for him the hero was just as stubborn.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT!" Enji shirked while opening the door again. He was ready to punch him if he didn't leave.

In submission, All Might held his arms and hunched his back down in an awkward bow. He didn't have any ill intentions. Why would he? He's the number 1 hero. "I send you an e-mail about my visit today."

"Ok, now I know you're lying," Enji spat, rolling his eyed. As a dedicated worker, he always checked his e-mails. The only one that was sent recently was from the adoption agency Tenko's name was under. They said they had a possible adopter ready for him and they wanted to pay a visit. He didn't bother reading the finer details since he assumed it was Arata, ready to give his answer. Who else could it be?

Before the fiery man could slam the door on the hero for the third time, All Might grip the door's edge pushing it back. He could feel the other trying to shut his hand in despite that. The rage in their eyes was enough of an indicator that he was unwanted. That didn't stop him from fighting. "I swear I'm not. Ok, it wasn't me directly but still," he claimed while their tug of war with the door continued. His eyes dropped to an almost begging gaze, "just like me in, please."

Seeing that, Enji clicked his tongue. He really didn't want to let this eyesore in, but it would be rude of him to turn away. No matter how much he wanted to. The urge to slam the door shut on their fingers was so temping. Just impossible since they were way stronger than him physically. He had no choice but to let the hero in.

Enji lead the hero to the dining room and sat him down on a cushion. He looked out of place. A foreigner kneeling on a cushion by a small legged table. Especially one of his massive, muscular body. Enji couldn't believe he was to let one of the people he hated the most in his home. Willingly! Might as well play a good host while they were there.

All Might on the other hand didn't look too offended. More so curious. He never got close to the fiery hero. So, it was interesting to see what his home was like. Truly, it was exactly how he imagined it given the outside interior. A grand Japanese style estate. Flowing with tradition and sternness. Although there were a few odd things. Mismatched crayon drawings on the walls. Tiny shoes by the doorway. Even some forgotten toys by in the hallways. It was hard to wrap your head around if you even see the fire hero in person for the first time, but he was still a father.

"Explain yourself," Enji spat sternly, stopping the other's mind from wandering too far.

The hero was quick to return to the present as he faced the other. "Like the e-mail said I'm…" he wanted to explain further but something caught his eye. A tuff of green is hidden by the doorway. Curiously, his head turned. There staring back at him was a pair of green eyes. They timidly stared beyond the wooden frame but tucked further back when their eyes met.

Enji also took notice of the small guest and called out to them, "Izuku! It's impolite to lurk. Greet our…guest." It was so strenuous to say that last word.

Filching, Izuku trotted out of his hiding spot. His little legs waddled into the room as he nervously stepped between the two men. He shyly nodded his head in greeting while twiddling his hands in his shirt. The child looked like he wanted to say something, but was too shy to say it.

All Might found the child's actions rather cute. They were so small and fluffy. "Awe, hello there little one." His arm instinctively reached out to touch the child. Just a friendly pat on the head. His curls looked so soft not to touch. It should be ok. Children typically liked him and loved to climb his arms. So long as the parent was around a friendly greeting like this shouldn't be a problem.

Unfortunately for him, Izuku wouldn't let it happen. He ducked his head away and yelled out what he was holding in. "I don't like you!" He yelled with a puff in his cheeks. It made the number 1 hero froze in shock. Meanwhile, his father started grinning like a madman. "Father's better!" He announced lounder. The child then slapped the hero's hand away and looked at him with the angriest face he could muster. "You're a big smiling dummy!"

At that point, Enji could barely hold in his laugher. He had to cover his mouth shut otherwise he'd be laughing his head off by now. This was one thing he didn't expect to happen if Izuku met face to face with his most hated rival. The disheartened expression on the hero's face was the best thing he seen. That was until it was aimed at him. Their blue shocked eyes stared questionably back at him. "I swear I wasn't the one who taught him that," he promised but from the look of the other's face they didn't believe it. "Izuku, come here," he called for the child with a cough in his throat. His arms were wide waiting for him. Like a good little boy, Izuku waddled up to his father and climb onto his lap. He happy snuggled into his chest while his father's arms wrapped around him carefully. "That wasn't nice, Izuku."

"But I don't like him, father. He's the reason why everyone's so mean to you. I don't like it," Izuku augured back with a pout.

All Might watched the father and son duo have their playful little spat. The child giving one childish remark after the other about how much they didn't like him. All the while their father happily listened while saying it was ok. He knew who this child was. The green hair and scarred arms were big indications. The famous adopted child of the Todoroki family. It was big news when it came out. No one could stop talking about the unexpected member. How he looked nothing like his family and more importantly how they were quirkless. At first, he felt sorry for the child but looking at the boy now. How he smiled while being in his father's arms. How soft his father was with him. It was hard not to smile.

Feeling a set of eyes on him, Enji's face went stern as he readjusted Izuku in his arms. The child also followed a similar stern expression. Although it looked less scary on him since he still had baby fat on his cheeks. "What?" Enji spat.

"Oh, it's nothing just." All Might tried to laugh it off, but he couldn't help but stare at the two fondly. How little Izuku was trying so hard to match his father's grumpy expression. The way his large eyes burn, and his mouth turned to a solid fawn. "This is your adopted son, isn't it?" Izuku's pout only deepen whole his cheeks puffed out when he was mentioned. He was trying his best to look menacing but that was hard to do as a 7-year-old child in the arms of your father. "You're very good with him. I should follow your example."

Before Enji could ask what they meant, he spotted more sets of eyes. "There's no point in you lot lurking too. Come say hello."

Caught, Touya was the first to show himself with a grin and wave. Tenko shyly followed while hiding himself partly behind the other child's back. Luckily, they were much taller than him, so it was much easier. Touya was first to bow in greeting, trying to be polite as possible. The situation was more awkward for him. The symbol of peace was right in front of him. How was he supposed to react? Tenko had similar thoughts. He was way too shy to say hello when such an iconic figure in their society was so close to him.

Now that everyone was together, Enji asked again: "Now then, what are you doing here?"

While the man wanted to get everything over and done with the hero before he looked to be distracted. His eyes were focused on one thing. Little Tenko was still hiding behind the eldest Todoroki child. Curiously, the child would peek out just to get a glimpse of the legend before him but as soon as their eyes would meet, he'd duck his head right back. Could you really blame him though? Such a lender hero was staring so intensely at him.

All Might didn't mind. He was more charmed by the timed boy. He was the reason he came here. "Actually, I'm here for him," the hero admitted shocking the rest of the Todoroki family. Mainly Enji who now regretted not reading that e-mail properly. Carefully, All Might rose from his seat and crouched down to Tenko's level. The boy was still shy holding on to Touya's back tightly. Being in the middle Touya couldn't help but he was a little nervous. He was sandwiched between the symbol of peace and his friend after all. "Your name is Tenko Shimura right?" The hero asked, and the child nodded. Smiling, kindly the hero held out a hand in greeting, "if you don't know me. I'm All Might. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Of course, I know you. Everyone knows you. You're the number one hero." Tenko whispered out while being a little braver. Clawing out of his hiding place, and stood just a little behind Touya's side. Holding on to their arm rather than their back.

The hero laughed heartily knowing that it was a rather silly thing to say. Everyone in Japan knows him. He worked hard to obtain that title, but he didn't do it alone. "Yes, that is true. But I have many to thank for making me the hero I am today. One of them happens to be a wonderful woman named Nana Shimura."

"Grandma!" At that point, he got the child's attention. In pure shock, he jumped out of and trotted towards the hero. He didn't expect to hear his grandmother's name after all this time. He's only seen a picture of her as well as her final letter. Other than that, there were a few times he overheard his father's rants about her. So, he couldn't help but ask: "You know her?"

"Indeed, she was my mentor," the hero explained and further told the story of his beloved mentor. How she trained him at a young age. How kind she was to him as she helped establish his hero career. He owed much to her. That's why her death was so devastating. Killed by a dastardly villain. "My mentor told me to stay far away from her family. In case that villain would target them. Then a friend of mine found out about the tragedy of what happened and the adoption opportunity. I'm glad he told me." He didn't like going against his mentor's final request, but he couldn't do nothing after finding out what happened. "I know in my heart she wouldn't want that anymore. That's why I'm here." Suddenly, he grasped the boy's gloved hand and used his free hand to lay over his heart. The boy looked surprised, but he didn't fight it. They were far too curious and starstruck. "Tenko Shimura. I know this may seem sudden, but I'd like the chance to adopt you."

If the Todoroki family said they wouldn't be more surprised today they'd be wrong. The last thing they expected after fostering a timid child from the streets was to have the symbol of peace coming to their doorstep. Then claiming to want to adopt the street child. Add the fact that seemed to have a connection with his previous family. Even if it was indirectly, that didn't change the fact that All Might probably would be the best caretaker for the boy. Emphases on the probably.

"but…" Tenko hesitated. Everyone but All Might knew why he hesitated. After all, there was one other person that had Tenko's best interest in mind.

The room got colder. No. That wasn't quite right. The pressure got heavier. It was like each of them were being covered by something. And it was growing heavier. In a blink of an eye, their bodies were forced to move. Like marionettes on a stage, they each played a part. Enji stayed seated while Izuku was firmly placed on his lap. Touya on the other hand started to dance. More so dragged over to his family members. His body was forced to spin before taking a seat next to his father.

All Might had the worst of it. It was like a pair of hands were clamping on his throat. His instincts told him to fight back but there was nothing to fight back with. He had no choice but to let the inviable force do what it willed. It forced him down on his knees while arching his body up. It cracked ever so slightly. Not enough to make it hurt, but just enough to make it terribly uncomfortable. His head was tilted upward and what he could see was a back of a blue-grey suit. Dark blonde curls were tied by a blue ribbon. Tenko's face peered over a stranger's shoulder.

The so-called stranger turned his head revealing a pair of deep blue eyes. They were painted with absolute disgust. "My that was quite the sob story. I'm so moved," they lazily groaned while turning to face the kneeing hero. "Look I'm shedding tears," they mocked further. Voice dripping with sarcasm. "How righteous you are. Disobeying your late mentor's last wishes. All to save a child she willingly abandoned." Whatever tension that was in the room before only increased. All Might grew with it. The expression the hero had. It delighted the other so much they couldn't help but smile wickedly. "Wait it's not even her child. I'm assuming she did abandon them regardless and unlocked the chain of events that brought poor Tenko here to the streets." They continued to jab. Poking a metaphorical blade at the hero who only grew angrier. His mind ran wild with thoughts that only added to the dark blonde's entertainment. "I'm sure it's not her fault, right? How could she possibly have known this would happen? Her child becoming an authoritarian father figure with abandonment issues after being abandoned."

He didn't like him. That was the first thing All Might thought of the second the man opened his sly mouth and heard that condescending tone. He disliked the look in their eyes. The way they looked down at him with pure contempt. He disliked his voice. The way his words slash at him like blades. But most of all he disliked his expression. The way his lips cured up as if they enjoyed the anger that was undoubtedly showing on his face.

Truly, it was an enjoyable sight for the man. "But all is forgiven now since you proclaim you're here to fix her mistakes, right? Very noble. Taking the burden of the dead, but a little late don't you think? Tenko has been wandering the streets for years before the boys picked him up. If you are so ready to save him, where were you?" The word like words slashed at the hero's conscience. They had no answer for that question and the stranger knew that. Salt was further added to the wound and as he said: "Aren't you supposed to be the number 1 hero."

Anger held back by a hair thick glass; All Might gritted his teeth. He shot a look at Enji who sat back from the exchange alongside his sons. "Endeavour, who is this?" He asked with a growling tone.

Enji didn't need to answer as the man himself was ready with one. "Arata Darewell. I'm Izuku tutor and Touya's training instructor." He greeted politely with a very uncomfortable Tenko in his arms. "I'm also the children's main carer while their father is out."

"Well, then Mr Darewell. I'd appreciate you don't take light on my master's decisions. She did what she thought was right. It was the hardest choice she ever had to make." All Might said sternly while trying to control his slowly accumulating rage.

It only grew worst as Arata spat out a laugh. "I can't imagine it was that hard. Since she had a replacement line up." He wanted to play with the hero a little. His thoughts gave him so much to work with. Poking him here and there was way too amusing of an opportunity to pass up. "She was quite the mother to you as well. Yet she didn't abandon you like she did her real son. I suppose you had the bigger end of the stick. Since she died for you." Those words brought the atmosphere of the room that much lower. It was suffocating. "Poor little All Might. Unable to do anything for his master at her final moments. I suppose it makes sense why you're here." With a devil-like gaze, Arata hooked the hero chin up and forced their eyes to lock. It was sickly enjoyable seeing the hero saint-like image crumble with a few words. "You're not here because you care. You're here to ease the guilty in your heart."

You could practically hear the gears for the hero's jaws grinding his teeth together the more Arata talked. His eyes grew darker. Tainted with rage while his knuckles cracked at his side.

It was then Enji that this was going to be a long day.

"Endeavour," All Might hissed. "Why is he still here?" He glared down the table. On the other end was Arata joyfully smirking at the hero's sully expression. Fingers linked together while their elbows propped up their arms. There was something about that smug expression that made the hero's skin crawl. "If he's your children carer, shouldn't he be caring for them?"

"This conversation includes me too," Arata responded to the question that wasn't aimed at him. It only irritated the hero further. What fun. "I've also been thinking of adopting cute little Tenko."

All Might raise an eyebrow, "are you even qualified?"

It was easy for Arata to retort. "That's a foolish question to ask. I'm a least far more qualified than you. I take care of children daily. You on the other hand just pose for pictures. There's more to taking care of a child than to play the hero."

Meanwhile, Enji was in the middle of all this. He wasn't sure how he managed to end up this way. One second, he was letting his hated rival into his house. The next his…he wasn't quite sure what to call Arata for him, but he wasn't expecting him to have a faceoff with the symbol of peace. Or whatever it was they were doing. An aggravated staring contest? Kill each other with their eyes? Words? Either way, he didn't want the children anywhere near this situation. So, he let them go to play somewhere else in the house. As the grown-up, he took it upon himself to be the better man and deal with this. Be the mediator between the two men that looked like they wanted to straggle the other. He was slowly regret that.

"I can easily learn. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it." All Might argued slamming a hand on the table. It's a miracle it wasn't broken. There was a crack… make that several.

"What kind of logic is that. This isn't some high school test. This is a living a breathing human being. A child no less with special needs that requires utmost attention," Arata snapped back sounding more bored by the argument now. "With the way you bounce around all day, do you even have the time for that amount of responsibility?"

"I can make the time."

"You're more of a fool than I first thought. Have you really thought this through or are you jumping in on this because you feel obliged to? If that's the case forgot qualifications." Arata's eyes turned sharp as he said a question no one was expecting. "Do you even want to be a father?"

For some reason that made the hero gulp. There was a slight moment of hesitation before he bit back, "what I want is to make sure Tenko gets the best life possible. It's what my master would have wanted."

"That doesn't answer my question," the other hissed dissatisfied.

The tension between them only grew as the men sized the other up with their eyes. While All Might won in the size category Arata won with seer confidence. He was holding no punches when it came to his silver tongue. Slashing at the other's ego making them flinch with every word they said. All Might was no pushover. He was a stubborn as any hero, maybe even more. No matter what words the other throws he wasn't going to lose. Although, there wasn't really a fight between them. Yet… Both looked ready to throw a punch or two. Or several. A couple of kicks too.

Unluckily, Enji was at the centre of it all. He should have stayed with the kids. Then he wouldn't have to suffer from this suffocating atmosphere. He wanted to attempt to play mediator, but it was kind of hard when no one was paying attention to him. He would be offended if it wasn't for the fact he didn't want to be here as time dragged on.

"Tea!" Enji final broke. Thankful some of the tension broke with his outburst. Now the two blondes forced their murder gaze on him. He wasn't scared of them. Just ignore the sweat dripping down his neck. It was just stuffy that's all. "I will go make more tea. You two." He wanted to say play nice or something along those lines, but it was obvious that wasn't happening. Not when both men gave him a dagger gaze. Who knew All Might had one of those? "I will make tea." Then he fast-walked out of that. He didn't run. As stated, before he wasn't scared. Just thirsty. The room was stuffy.

Now that he escaped, Enji could finally breathe. He put on the kettle and grabbed a cookie from the cupboard. Maybe something sweet could soothe his growing headache. He needed to think up a game plan. Somehow, he needed to go back into that room and ease the tension. But how? He doesn't know. He was usually the one creating the tension. Never in his life did he had to play mediator unless they were his own children. Even then their augments were petty. 'Dad, Izuku's hogging the bathroom.' 'Father, Touya won't give me back my book.' Those sorts of silly augments. Never this. He doesn't even know why they were acting like this. It all started when Arata started provoking the number 1 hero but why…hold on a second.

A series of lights flashed in his head. He thought back to the day he went to Arata's apartment. The story he heard. It was like pieces of a long-overdue puzzle were coming together. Forming a clear and disturbing picture. "It couldn't be," Enji whispered in disbelieve.

Suddenly, the screaming match grew so loud no walls could contain it. Enji forgot the tea and raced back to the dining room. When he slammed the door open something flew right past him. It nicked his ear casing it to drip with a touch of blood. When in turned around he saw a pencil now stabbed in the wall behind him. Things could only get worst from there as when he peeked his head back at the dining room it was a complete mess. The table was tipped over. Some chairs were broken thrown to their side. And some wall decor found their new place on the floor.

The two men in the middle of the mess squared off. Since Arata was a head shorter, he was looking straight up at the hero but didn't make him less intimating. Enji didn't know what got them to this point but if a fistfight were to break out it would be now.

"Is this all you know how to do? Play an act the role of the perfect hero?" Arata spat in the hero face. Then he twirled around in a mocking tone. "Oh, look at me Mr symbol of peace. No need to worry anyone because I am here!"

All Might wasn't amused in the slightest. In fact, he has never been more offended in his life. "Is it so wrong to want people to live peaceful lives?" He argued back having enough of the other's backhanded comments. "I've worked my whole life to be a strong and dependable pillar."

"And what a strong pillar you are. Sitting on top of your pedestal like some god. Unfortunately for you. You're human," Arata laughed. His voice slowly getting deeper and deeper as his control slipped. "You're not omniscient or omnipotent. You can't be everywhere. You can't save everyone."

"You think I don't know that! Why do you think you hear me bounce around all day? I'm trying. I know there are people I wouldn't be able to reach. I'm not fast enough. Or I'm too far away." It was something he knew deep down to be true no matter how hard he tries. That's why he's always in a hurry throughout the day. Go further beyond any other hero because there was someone somewhere else needed his help. He could barely keep up with his hero report because he switched from one incident after the other, but if that meant saving a person's life then to hell with the paperwork. "So long as they are in my reach, I will save everyone."

Arata's eyes cracked widen open. a snap cracked the air. Aggressively, he grasped the hero's shirt and choked him with it. Forcing the taller man to his eye level. "Say that again. I dare you." He hissed. Voice completely dropping to his natural deep tone. It was dripping malice that poured to his whole body. Especially, his eyes. "You can save everyone so long as they are in your reach. What a joke."

"it's not a joke." All Might yelled back firmly. He wasn't going to let this man make fun of his efforts. "No matter who they are or what the situation is I swear to myself. So long as I can reach them. So long as I am here. I will save them."

The declaration brought quiet. Enji stayed outside yet he could still feel the weight and chill that hung in the air. Time was at a standstill. Seconds past. Minutes next. Neither of the two made a move.

All Might started grinning. Thinking he achieved some sort of victory. That was not the case. That victorious smile instantly wiped from his face. Replace by eyes of shocked confusion. He wasn't sure when it started but at some point, the man who rudely augured with him started crying. The malice in his eyes turned to tears of pain. Their voice was cracked as if they were trying to yell at him still. All that came out of their mouth were hiccups and whispers while their lips quivered. Trying to keep themselves together.

But Arata couldn't keep himself together. There were too many emotions swirling in his mind. Anger. Disgust. Most of all grief. It overwhelmed him. Consumed him. Like a wave trying to drown him. His mind went blank. Only one thing remained. Forget the consequences. He didn't care anymore. "You are such a liar!"

SMASH!

Finally, someone picked up the phone. "Hello, my name is Arata Darewell. I'm calling to check on my husband. He came by the orphanage today."

"Oh, Mr Darewell I apologise there was an incident today with some nasty villains."

"I know. That's why I'm calling."

"Then you should know there's nothing to worry about. All Might came and saved everyone. They're all safe and sound. Although some of them did need medical care. I believe they were sent to Hosu General hospital. If your husband is anywhere, he's there."

"I see. Thank you for the information."

He was waiting for someone to answer the call for several hours. His nerves only grew with each passing second while watching the news. Yet every time he heard about the incident; they all say not to worry. All Might was there. It was the only thing that kept him going. Kept him hoping.

Another ring finally got answered. "Evening, my name is Arata Darewell. I'm looking for my husband. Sai Darewell. He was caught in an incident at the orphanage downtown. I've heard the victims were sent here."

"I'm ever so sorry Mr Darewell. But I don't recall someone by that name being admitted here. Let me check our system quick." He kept hoping. "I'm sorry but that name isn't on our system." That hope kept getting dashed away. "I'm sure he's just fine sir. Even the people admitted here only had minor injuries. All Might truly is amazing, isn't he? Your husband is probably at the police station filing a report on the incident. Those things always last so long." Then he heard a version of that line too many times that day. "All Might saved him so I'm sure he's fine."

He waited.

And waited…

And waited…

But nobody came home.

AN: I know this was a lot and didn't end to happily and might be a little awkwardly paced, but I couldn't stop thinking of this crack like since when Izuku meant All Might.

Izuku: I am an angry Izuku. Fear me!

All Might: awe Endeavour look at him. he's so cute. And his hair so fluffy.

Izuku: I'm not cute. I'm scary! Very scary.
