Vlad Masters was a man who liked to handle his business quickly and efficiently. Whether it was the typical business matters he tended to over the table, or the more unsavory sort he dealt with under it, he wanted things to go as smoothly as possible. So when he needed an important job done, he was more than willing to shill out the money to pay for the best.

And from what he heard, this young man and the team of young women who worked under him were just that. "Right on time. Mr. Gleeful I presume," Vlad said as he stood before the group known as the Black Vipers. They had been making quite the name for themselves recently in the criminal underworld.

Pulling off daring heists, robbing transports of weapons and old relics, snatching targets from under some notable heroes nose's. Vlad wasn't usually one to roll the dice on those new to the scene. Not until they had proved themselves. But his curiosity was piqued, and he was willing to make an exception.

"Why yes I am Mr. Masters. It's a mighty right pleasure to meet ya," Kenny said, tipping his hat towards him. He had been more than a little surprised when his people had contacted him. But he was also excited. If Vlad Masters had a job for him, then it was bound to be interesting. And pay quite a lot too.

"The pleasure is all mine, young man. I've heard very good things about you and your team," he said looking towards the others. "If my informants were correct, you had a hand in the recent theft from Global Security. That is no small feat."

Flannery shrugged her shoulders. "Doesn't matter how much high tech security ya got installed. There's always a weak point. And we're right good at findin' them," she said.

Vlad nodded. "I'm sure. Now, I suppose we should get onto business. I called you here because I have a certain… let's just call them a competitor, I'd like dealt with. They're moving a certain product through the city, and I fear they've forgotten to pay for the proper clearance to do so. And so-"

"You're hoping that we'll relieve them of said product to send a message," Bonnie said as he looked through her phone. "And I'm guessing this product is the ecto-tech that was lifted from the GiW a few weeks back. It was stolen by an up and coming gang who, if my informants are correct, are supposed to be working under you."

Sue Ellen smirked. "So we're basically disciplining your kids for you, huh?"

Vlad raised an eyebrow at them. "My, what well informed young women you are. But yes, I suppose that is the gist of it. While I appreciate ambition and work ethic, I just can't have this group thinking they can act in such ways without repercussions. I'll deal with them personally later. But for now, the retrieval of the equipment is what's important. Bring them to me, and I promise a very bountiful payoff."

Kenny smiled. He had seen the offer in the message he'd sent earlier. It was more than enough to compensate for the work. "To be honest sir, the money is just a bonus for me. I got an idea that I think is gonna be a good ole time. So I'll accept it. Consider it done. We'll have your equipment back before ya know," he said.

Vlad smiled. "I'm glad to hear it." He looked over towards one of his men and then nodded, and they returned the gesture before walking out of the room. "You'll be receiving more details shortly through a series of anonymous emails. Please follow me to the other room. I'll grant you any access to equipment you may need to-"

Kenny shook his head. "That mighty kind Mr. Masters, but we won't be needing any of that. More fun to use what we have out of pocket," he said.

Vald once again raised an eyebrow. Well, that was strange. But if it saved him more gear and equipment, who was he to complain? "Very well then. I look forward to hearing of your successive Mr. Gleeful."

"Is everything loaded up?"

"Yeah, we're good to go."

The man at the head of the group looked around carefully before closing the back of the truck. He knew this whole idea was nuts. If Vald found out they were done for. But if he was going to step up and start carving out a piece of territory that he could really call his own, he was going to have to take some risks.

He walked into the passenger's side of the truck, and then slammed the door before signalling the others to move out. The door to the warehouse opened, and the truck came to life and began moving. Four ATV's flanked the vehicle, two on each side of the truck. They made their way down the streets, keeping an eye out for any signs of Vlad's men.

They kept on route, all keeping a watchful eye out for any signs of trouble. And that sign came when they saw three vehicles approaching.

Two of them were motorcycles. Kenny was driving one, and Jorie was sitting behind him. On the other was Sue Ellen. The third vehicle was a truck, which Flannery was driving Bonnie was beside her, tapping away at her pad. "Cameras are all out, and I'm keeping an eye on all traffic signals. We shouldn't have any unwanted guests," Bonnie said from over their com chat.

"Good work. Now let's nab us a prize," Kenny said as he drove up towards the truck.

"Who the hell are those guys?!" the driver said, scowling. Did Vlab send them? Or were they just another gang looking to poach some of their goods. Either way, they had to shake them. He signaled for the others to deal with them, and they slowed down the ATV's a bit to meet up with Kenny and Sue Ellen.

"Let's deal with the fodder first ladies," Kenny said. Jorie smirked before she stood up and raised her rifle. She took aim at the two approaching them, and then fired twice. Both shots hit their target, taking out the back wheels of each of the ATV's approaching them. They swerved out of control, and Kenny easily sped past them.

Sue Ellen smiled as she manuveured between each of the ATVs near her, placing two devices on each. She sped past them before pulling out a switch and then pressing it. The two devices both began to glow, and suddenly both of the ATVs were pulled right towards one another, smashing together and keeping them from pursuing her. "Well, they ain't explosives, but not half bad." She prefered bombs to magnets, but she couldn't blow everything up.

Even if she wanted to.

"What the hell?!" the leader shouted angrily. "What's with these-?! Shit!"

Both he and the driver flinched as Jorie shot the side view mirror off of the truck. "Got their attention," she said. Kenny laughed as he drove up further to get beside them. The leader pulled out his own firearm and leaned over the driver to try and take aim at them, but Jorie fired again and knocked it out of his hand.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!"

Jorie kept firing, not actually trying to hit them, but cousin them to swerve slightly and panic. While all of their attention was focused on Kenny and Jorie, Sue Ellen rode up on the other side and pulled out a wad of explosive putty. "Let's make a bang, baby," she said before smacking it down on the latch between the driver and cargo section.

She drove off and then, putting some distance between her and the truck before setting off the explosive. It wasn't as massive as the ones she usually cooked up, but the force was more than enough to break through the latch. At the sound and impact of the bomb, the driver and passenger both shook, swerving to the side and struggling to regain control of the vehicle.

Eventually they just hit the break, and Kenny stopped the motorcycle. "Jorie, let's pin em down. The rest of ya get the cargo," he instructed.

"Got it!"

"Let's go!"

Jorie reloaded her rifle, and right as the driver was going to open the door she fired another warning shot. He quickly closed it back, and he and the leader both ducked and took cover. Flannery, Bonnie, and Sue Ellen all drove ahead to catch the cargo, which was starting to slow down.

Flannery sped in front of it, slowing down enough so what was left of the latch lined up with the back of the truck. "Hook it up Sue!" she shouted.

Sue Ellen pulled out two more devices. They looked almost like the magnets from earlier, but had a slightly different design. She attached one to the back of the truck, and the other to the cargo. "These better work Bonnie," the blonde said.

"Of course they'll work! I designed them, and you built them… so if they don't, you know, it's on you," Bonnie said shrugging her shoulders.

"Ha-ha…"

She turned on the device, and Flannery pulled the truck forward. The magnets did their job, pulling the cargo along with them. Not with so much forced that it slammed into them, but keeping it a correctly measured distance. "See, it worked! Because I made it," Bonnie said.

"I made it. You designed it, remember?"

"Stop nitpicking."

"Both of ya knock it off," Flannery said, rolling her eyes. She reached up and pressed the button on her com link. "Alright boss, we got the cargo."

Kenny smiled. "Nice work ladies. Alright Jorie, ya can stop messing with the poor bastards. We got what we wanted." Jorie took one last shot, making a point to hit the cheap fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror. "Nice shot."

"They're all nice shots," Jorie said, blowing the barrel of her rifle.

Kenny whistled as he tossed the keys to the cargo haul up and down in his hand. After leaving the haul at the drop off point, he and the others had made their way back to collect their reward. Bonnie had said the haul itself was rigged to explode if it wasn't opened with the key. So he had taken the key to it just in case Vlad tried something funny. He didn't think he would, but it never hurt to be safe.

As they made their way to his study, he saw another figure walking by. Olevia glanced towards them as they passed by one another. She knew her father had hired someone for a certain job, but she tended to try and avoid getting involved in such things. Unless he directly ordered her to be involved anyway.

Kenny smirked towards her. "Evening miss," he said, tipping his hat. "Don't you just look like the prettiest little belle at the ball? I'm guessing yer the Mr. Master's daughter."

Before Olevia could answer, Flannery shoved him forward. "Save yer flirtin' for later. We got a reward to collect," she said, rolling her eyes. She swore every time a pretty face was around he was bound to get distracted.

"No need to be all prickly. I'm just being polite," Kenny said.

"Well, be polite after we get paid."

The others giggled as they walked on, and Jorie waved towards Olevia as they kept on going. She looked after the group rather curiously, but eventually just went on her way.

When they did reach Vlad, he was leaning against his desk with a smile on his face. "I must be honest with you Mr. Gleeful, I didn't think you would pull off the job with such effectiveness and efficiently. I had scarcely begun to settle in when I was informed that you had dropped off the equipment," he said.

"Aw, wasn't nothing too special," Kenny said simply. "My girls pulled off everything without a hitch. As usual. And we aim to please."

Vlad nodded. "And please you did. Now, we can get to the matter of your payment. It should have been sent just a few moments ago. So if you would just hand me the key, we can conclude our business," he said.

Kenny looked back towards Bonnie, who was already looking on her phone. Then she nodded towards him. Kenny turned back towards Vlad, smirking as he took out the key card for the cargo and flicking it towards him. "Sorry about that Mr. Masters. It's nothing personal, but I just wanted a lil bit of insurance," he said.

Vlad casually caught the card. "My boy, if you think I'm going to think any less of you for being cautious, you're very mistaken. Distrust is a wise trait to have in the world of crime," he complimented. "I'll be keeping you and your team in mind in the future. I believe this can be a very beneficial partnership for the both of us."

Kenny smirked back at him. "Yes sir, I think it might." Having even semi-steady work from Vlad was good for their finances for sure. But more importantly, he was sure it wouldn't be boring.
