AN: I don't own MHA

I have a job for you

"Enji…what exactly I am looking at?" Arata asked as he glared at the scene before him. His eyes glowed lightly while some miscellaneous pens twirled in his vicinity.

It was an unusual scene. A murky blonde man with a stitched scar running down their forehead was being ganged up by Endeavour's sidekicks. A curious bunch that wanted to get a good look at the newbie. Well soon to be newbie. It was rare that their boss would personally bring someone up in. However, it wasn't impossible. A couple of them have recruited from random encounters they had with the hero. Usually back when they had work studies under another hero, or they were a lesser-known hero barely able to make a name for themselves. It was a first that he picked up a civilian with 0 hero experience.

Sweating from the attention, Jin found himself back in a corner in the common area. He didn't know what he expected when entering the Endeavour's agency, but it wasn't this. At least they were friendly. Maybe a little too friendly. The way they crowded around him was a little claustrophobic. Apart from him wanting to curl up and hide, but another part wanted to converse with the lively group.

"You're next teaching job," Enji explained plainly. He called Arata since they were the only person, he knew that could bring Jin up to speed. He doesn't need a full education. Just a basic one to pass the basic hero exams. The man taught heroics to teens, so this shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Although, that heated gaze was a little concerning.

"Surely you jest?" Arata exclaimed with a hit of anger in his tone. The pen pointed at them like missiles ready to launch. "Do you have any idea what you dragged in?"

Apparently, he knew the man. They ruined an anniversary date by robbing a nearby jewellery store. He would have ignored it if it wasn't for the screaming, the alarms, and most importantly his beloved glaring him down. Silently, telling him to do something. A slippery villain didn't begin to describe the chase. The way the villain would slip past him by making annoying clones. No wonder they were high on the watch list at the time. Eventually, they disappeared, and with other villains stirring up trouble was soon forgotten by the public. That's not enough to be completely forgotten. "Enji, if you bring this man in the media will drag you through the mud."

"Like they don't do that already," Enji retorted. The media seemed to love him nowadays. For the opposites reason why they love All Might. They just won't shut up about him. Whenever it's a slow news week there they go comparing him to all Might again. Or say how he deserves a lower ranking. Or clickbait headlines about his ex-wife. Now they dare bring his kids in. Question his parental skills. Especially after Touya blew up in public. Went as far as to try to harass him on the way to school. Luckily, the U.A staff managed to shoo those yapping dogs off. There is no doubt in his mind, they'll have a field day once Jin makes a debut. "He has nowhere to go, and his quirk is beneficial. Sure, paying his charges will be pricey. All the legal details and media blowback will be a challenge, but in the long term it will be a win."

Arata listened to the man's explanation. His eyes dimed allowing the pens to fall back to his pockets. On paper, the undertones of the plan sounded like something else he was all too familiar with. Being chosen and used for one's quirk. Unconsciously, his finger ran along the gash on his nose, "you sound like the people who chained me."

A needle pricked the edged of Enji's mind. He the comparison didn't cross his mind. In a panicked state, he ended up simply bowing in apology. "I didn't mean to be inconsiderate."

"But he came here of their own free will," Arata said with a slight chuckle in his deep tone. While it was vaguely similar it's not heavily one-sided nor inhuman. At least they seemed happy. Looking back at the group with the retired villain. Any nerves the man once had melted away the more they talked to the younger sidekicks. "Seems like the rest of your sidekicks have taken a liking to him. This reformation plan of yours might work. If you're successful, the commission will back you. It would be beneficial for them to take a fearsome villain off the streets and work for 'society's benefit.'" With that conclusion, their only one thing left to do. Arata crackled his arms with a starched before bowing respectfully. "I'll do what I can. I'll need to rearrange my schedule, but it can be done."

Enji watched as the teacher marched up to the group. He didn't expect them to start right away. It would take at least a year or more before he could settle all the charges against Jin legally and financially. Luckily, most of the cases were minor thefts, jewellery, cars, snacks, and a toy shop oddly enough. Of course, legal quirk usage. With a little convincing he might be able to make a deal with the commission to lighten his stance enough where he wouldn't need jail time. Community service, parole and a hefty bail fine would hopefully it. Good thing he knew some good lawyers.

"HOLY FUCK IT'S YOU!" Jin screamed while jumping into the arms of the nearest sidekick. Seems like he still remembered them. Then again, it's hard to forget a glowing blue man hutting you down with a pair of swords in each hand and another pair floating beside him. "Hello…you're not going to chase me with swords again, are you?"

"That is possible," Arata stated making Jin shiver more. "Come along we have work to do." He encased Jin in his quirk's light. Then yanking him off the sidekick and dropping their weight on the floor. He then grabbed the back of their shirt and calmly dragged them to their destination. All while ignoring their screams of discomfort and fear. "Don't mind the tiny chair. My classroom was set for a child, but it should be able to hold your weight."

Meanwhile, it was a quiet day at the White Lotus café, yet it was lively enough with the few guests they had. It was a classy little place dripping with tradition. Bare wood pillars. Off-white painted walls decorated with old paintings and kanji tapestries. A few ornate vases homed in the corners. Each one held a branch of a Sakura tree. The few modern touches were a sweet display case. Beautiful desserts of every colour of the rainbow, both traditional and non-traditional, were neatly placed together on wooden trays. Complete with a pure white cloth to cover its inner lining.

Another modern touch was the seating tables and carved into the wall booths. All layered with dark leather padding. One such booth had 2 seated guests. The couple lovingly shared a sweet mochi selection bento box and a two-straw milkshake glass. They chatted to themselves giggling after every other sentence. The tallest between them had their arm around the other while his partner was snuggled up against him.

Then there was a cling of glass meeting wood. "Can you freaks not making goo-goo eyes in front of each other? It's sicking," Kai groaned getting sick of the public affection. The boy was out of casual attire that day and wearing a waiter's uniform. With a plain button, black slacks that matched his polished black shoes and an apron around his waist. He offered to help out at his boss's café during the weekend. Hoping it would be quiet work, but he didn't think he'd server these two.

Grinning at the grumpy boy, Touya brought Tenko closer to him. Peaking hid boyfriend on the forehead, making them light up red. "Don't be jealous, Kai. I'm sure you'll find someone as cute as Tenko one day."

Kai rolled his eyes. "I rather not."

On another table, Kana happily watch the two smaller children in front of her staring at the desserts they ordered. She was commissioned to play babysitter that day and honesty it's more of a treat rather than a job. Seeing her child look so happy will always be a highlight.

"WOW," Shuichi gasped as he stared at the cake in front of him. Mouth wet with drool and eyes sparkling in delight. It was a simple chocolate slice with a glossy coating and a delicate swirl of cream. A candied flower was placed on top finishing its outward appearance. "It looks so pretty. Can we really eat it?"

Cheekily, Kana hooked a claw at the edge of the plate and brought it closer to her. "If you, don't I sure will."

"No, ma! It's mine." Shuichi yelled in a childish panic. He took the plate out of his mother's reach. It made the woman laugh, as her son tucked himself to a corner. He ate his cake while having a watchful set of eyes on her.

Izuku on the other hand was fearfully looking at his own adorable dessert. A parfait with a scoop of villain ice cream on top, layered with whip cream and fresh fruit. It was topped with mochi pieces, sprinkles, along with some biscuits. Two of which were honeycomb bunny ears. With a couple chocolate buttons for eyes and a cute mouth. It looked like a bunny. For a while, Izuku had a staring competition with the bunny. "It's too cute," he cried. It broke his little heart to eat such a cute thing.

"It'll be sad if you don't," Daichi claimed as he sneaked up beside the child. He pointed to the bunny's face, "look's starting to frown." Sure, enough the sauce started running. The boy had left it out for too long. The melting ice-cream contorted the face with one of its eyes going sideways. It was then Izuku started scooping into the dessert. The boy's eyes soon sparked the second the sweet delight touched his tongue. As cute as the bunny was, it was also too good not to eat. "I hope everything is to your liking," The old man asked.

"Yes, of course." Kana cheered with the added reassurance of the children scoffed down their treats. Everything was not only beautiful but delicious. Then she looked around the café. Aides from them it was like a ghost town. "I'm shocked no one else is here. With desserts this good I'd think it would be popular."

"Well, it was for a time being." When they started business was going well. He decided it would be best to keep the family a secret, and let their products speak for themselves. He taught his members some of his old recipes and they shared some of their own. While pulling in some favours he was owed. That helped get a location at the edge of his old territory. Far enough from the main estate not to be reorganised. It was going well and was surprisingly trendy with the younger crowd. Especially with the cutesy style treats. Then the blogs came, and everything went out of the open. "Ever since this popular influencer shamed this place for my family…background. Business has been slow."

"That's terrible," Kana gaped. She knew the feeling. People could be so mean and drag your business down for the smallest thing. Very dangerous for smaller businesses.

The old man was thankful for the concern. "Small hiccups, but I've between through worse. Like the stock fall of…ahem. No need to worry."

That's when Kai slid into the conversation with a proposal. "I can try and hunt them down boss. Some students in my class are tech wizards. I can get them to work for us. With a little convincing." The child face and went dark at that final line.

Wearing a smile on his face, Daichi squeezed the boy's shoulder. Very, very tightly. The lack of blood circulation made it numb. "None of that, Kai."

Once the group finished their meal and said their goodbyes, they made their way to the subway. Travelling deeper into the city and closer to a certain hero's territory. As a unit, they crossed the streets, alive in the midday rush. Touya and Tenko formed their own duo as they casually walked behind the others. Hand in hand. In front of them, Kana held her son's hand while they held Izuku's. The bounce and a spring in their step didn't stop when they reached a stoplight. They bounced up and down on their tiptoes like a couple of accordions.

Kana giggled at the sight of the two excitable boys next to her. "You two look excited."

"I get to go to a real-life hero agency!" Shuichi exclaimed while jumping up at his mother. Earlier that week Enji suggested that they come to the agency for the afternoon. It was a dream field trip. What child would pass up a chance to see a hero's base of operation?

"And I get to see, father." Izuku chimed alongside his friend. Although, he has been to the agency countless times, he likes being with his father. That and watching his father work. He's so cool.

Touya laughed with the lizard woman. His brother always got excited whenever they go see their dad. Like a little puppy whose owner was at work. All he was missing was some fluffy ears and a happy wagging tail. Then in the corner of his eye, he saw the man himself on the other side of the road. Quickly, he taped on his little brother's shoulder. "Don't look now, little bro. Dad's out on patrol," he whispered and pointed across the road.

Little Izuku blinked and tiptoed to get a better view. He didn't need to since it was hard to miss their father. Their height alone usually towered over crowds. That and his flaming hero consume also acted as a beacon. No matter what the boy could always spot his father's light. Jumping he waved an arm in the air. "Father!"

Endeavour stopped at the sound of the familiar calling. He was out on his usual patrol with a couple of his sidekicks trailing behind him. It wasn't long when he stopped the jumping ball of green fluff on the other side of the road. Happily waving at him as if they hadn't seen him in forever. Amongst the crowd, he spotted the full group line up. All of them waving in greeting. He acknowledged the group with a nod. Choosing to stay in place to greet them once they reached his side. It was a slow day, and it wouldn't be so bad.

Meanwhile, his sidekicks giggled quietly to themselves. They knew the real reason why their boss stayed put. The man couldn't resist the opportunity to spend a few precious minutes with his little buddle of green joy.

Soon the light turned green, signalling the growing coward can go to their desired destinations. Like clockwork, the crowd began walking filling out the crossing walk.

Izuku couldn't contain his excitement and raced on ahead. "Father!" He called. Most ignored him, others smiled allow the small child to squeeze past.

Enji would have yelled, but the grin on his face stopped him. The boy was rushing up to him like he always with a smile. Even in the crowd, he could see him politely fighting the wave of people to get to him. It was all too sweet. So, he allowed it. He watched the boy slowly make his way to him with the rest of the group following behind him.

The child was directly in all their sights. Only disappearing for a couple of seconds when he passed through tight crowd. But still in their sights. It was easy to keep track of their signature green colour in and out of gaps in the crowd.

Enji walked up to the traffic light line as the crowd thinned. Watching his youngest son weave through them. Their eyes lit up when they saw how close he was to their desired place. So, he picked up the pace rushing closer and closer. Enji watched so carefully. His son's sliming face peeked every couple of seconds when he passed someone. Then that smile disappeared along with the boy.

Confusion was the first thing that set in the man. Did the tide of the crowd push him away? "Izuku?" He called out but heard no repose. Not their laugher. Not their call. He then cut through the crowd. Asking. Demanding them to step aside in case his boy tripped. When the ground gave ways there was no child in sight. Panic then reared its head. "Izuku!"

There was still no repose.

There was no sign of a body.

The boy was gone.

"IZUKU!"

In an alleyway of a bar hidden from, the bright lights of society, a deal was made. On one side were two shady looking individuals. One of them had a somewhat muscle build but will slap you across the face if you ever commented about it. With big lips and silk back red hair you should never offend her beauty. Compared to her companion, she was dressed like the average person. Baggy demi jean and a white shirt with a mudded orange open shirt over it. To jazz up her look she had a pair of rose-tinted sunglasses.

The other was a smartly dressed gent. With black slacks, white gloves, a red long-sleeved button shirt, a black waistcoat, and a top hat to top it all off. Although you could see their face at all. A skin-tight mask hid their head along with a white mask. Thin black lines decoded it but was hard to tell if there were any eye holes in the design.

Before them was a woman in a dark cloak. Nothing about her could be seen other than a briefcase in one hand and her pale lower jaw. "I have a job for you," she explained while handing them a picture of a very familiar green hair boy. "This boy. All you need to do is kidnap him. Further details can be found here." She then presented the briefcase in her other hand.

Each of them took a picture along with the case. "Any reason you want this broccoli kid?" One of them asked while looking over the picture. It was a very odd and sudden request they picked up. "His freckles are cute though," they cooed.

"You're here for a job not to ask questions." The woman snapped coldly before turning away. "Just follow the instruction in the file, and you'll both be paid handsomely."

The other of the two bowed theatrically at the woman. "Consider it done."

AN: New year, new arc. Welcome to the Izuku kidnapping arc everyone.

S43M1 – huh…well I try to be consistent with this series updating weekly-ish. Mainly because these events are much shorter than my usual and this is the work I've been solely working on. Until the season is over. As for Arata and All Might. They're a curious duo considering their history and pure opposite personalities. They've kind of became a B plot alongside of Tenko for this season. Not sure if this will continue in the last season but their developing interactions will be something.

Anonymousness – uuhhhhh…I would answer this directly, but I can't so…this way it is.

First, two of my oldest projects are dead. I have very little desire to ever return to them. Even if I do have a soft spot for one of them.

One is in a very odd state of limbo. I made it with a friend and due to IRL things it feels wrong to continue it with out them. So, I don't know what to do with it.

The remaining 2:

1. There are 2 chapters left. The problem is I have so little motivations to do it. this work…I had so much love for it but now it's ran so dry I'm basically forcing myself to write, and that is painful feeling. So, I stopped but I'm so close to an ending-ish. It's the only thing that's clinging me to that work.

2. I really want to go back to my servamp and my hero crossover. I've been working on the next couple of chapters for that. noting ready to post but I've been happily working on it. problems is there's other things that took my writing heart and life itself. It's still a long way form being completed, and it just doesn't feel like a good time to go back.

It short. This is a hobby. If I'm not having fun writing, then why should I write? Criticize me all you want about slow updates or incomplete works. It's not going to stop me from enjoying myself and write what I want. Right now, that's the unlikely Todoroki season 2. Once the season is complete, I'll go back to those works for a time. either that or I take an earlier break once this arc is over.
