AN: I don't own MHA

How dare they?

"Yesterday afternoon, the streets were in flames."

"Endeavour sure lost his cool out there."

"I would too if my child was kidnapped."

"If anyone has information, please contact the authorities or directly to the Endeavour agency."

The news spread like a wildfire. The Todoroki family was in the spotlight once again. This time for some solemn news. The youngest adoptive son has been kidnapped. It was the biggest news that week. No one could stop talking about it. Some argued that it was Endeavour's fault for letting his son get kidnapped. Questioning his right as a hero. Some claimed some quirk shenanigans were involved to make it happen. No matter how many times they questioned the crowd. No one saw anything suspicious. The boy just vanished.

Of course, the talk made its way to U.A. No one could escape it. Especially not Touya.

The scarred boy remained in his seat. His expression hardened. Although he was a raging fire was burning inside him. Any small trigger would set him off, and it looks like a trigger was foolishly making its way towards them.

It was a girl he never wanted to speak to again. Her wavy blonde hair was an eyesore. Her purple eyes were an eyesore. Her fake, sorrowful expression was an eyesore. Everything about her made his skin burn from her being in his vivacity. "Hey, Touya," she started out in that whiney concern voice of her. "You, ok?"

"Do I look ok to you," he snapped fire raging from his hands. How dare this girl act all sympathetic after humiliating him and trying to play the victim. As if she cared. He would never fall for her pretty snake face again. "I don't need your pity, you gold-digging, lying, witch." He was ready to punch someone. It didn't matter if it looked bad. They could label him a villain in the making like his father or whatever. He wasn't in the mood for half-hearted words.

"Touya…" a voice called out as a pair of arms hooked around the boy's midriff. It was Tenko. He rushed into the class the second he saw the confrontation unfold. Not wanting to cause trouble, he dragged the boy out of the classroom. Leaving their gossiping classmates behind them.

Tenko dragged the boy into the empty hallway. A bottle of water in hand, he poured some in a cupped hand and rubbed it across his boyfriend's skin. Focusing on the scars where his fire was most active. The water evaporated on contact. Steaming over their crusted skin. It wasn't a good sign. "You need to calm down. The sports festival is in a couple of weeks. Concentrate on that for now."

"Why should I care about that." Snapping, Touya hammered a fist to the wall. Scoring its white paint. "You think I can calm down!" He yelled. They all say the same thing: Are you alright? Don't worry. Bullshit. How could he not worry? Don't even bother trying to say stay calm. Don't get him started about some of the staff saying he should keep his mind off things by focusing on the upcoming sports festival. To hell with that. "Izuku's been kidnapped! You think I can focus on anything else!" He roared, fire blazing from his scars.

Fearlessly, Tenko held the taller boy. Their flames subsided on contact as they relaxed into his neck. He tightened his hold calming the boy's rage with tender touches and words. "it's ok. Everyone's doing their best to find him, and they will," he assured. There was nothing much he could do but be there.

Soon, Touya gave into the warmth. Encasing his whole-body weight onto the other. He felt so helpless. Being unable to do anything. He hated this feeling the most with a passion. He thought back to that moment. Walking beside his brother on the streets. He let go for just a moment. Then they were gone. "I was right there," he hissed with a whimper.

"I know," Tenko whispered softly. He understood their frustration. "I was too."

The world seemed a little more chaotic. With the mysterious public kidnapping of a hero's child, media was on a field day. Every news channel was talking about it. There was no escape. Not even for Kana. The lizard woman was bombarded with the news story everywhere she looked. In the papers, online, TV. It was a constant reminder and only added to her guilt. If she stopped Izuku from rushing ahead maybe she could have prevented this mess. She was the adult of the group. She should have known better than to allow a small child to run ahead.

Then she felt a couple of claws gently scratch her arm. She looked down to see her little son looking up at her with big eyes. A piece of paper in his hand.

"Mama, I made this," he told her while presenting the paper. It was a crude drawing with messy handwriting. The boy never had the prettiest handwriting, but it was still readable. 'Missing person' was written in bold on top. Heavily underlined with a red marker and many exclamation points. Below that was a free hand-drawn rectangle. Inside it was a squiggle portrait of Izuku in crayon. With black dots for his freckles, spikey lines for his green hair and two big, coloured dots for his eyes. There was an arrow pointing towards it with the words 'my friend Izuku'. Then it goes on with a short description:

...

Have you seen my friend?

He's 7. My height. Green fluffy hair. Green eyes. Has freckles. Very smart. Very nice and smiles a lot.

He went missing and I miss him a lot. No one else would play with me and teach me cool things. Also, if the bad guy who took him sees this. Please give him back. It's not nice to take kids and you can go to jail.

If you know something, please call my mama. I'll give you my pig bank as a reward.

Thank You.

...

The lizard child looked up to his mother hopeful. "People make these things when something goes missing. Will this help find Izuku?" He hoped it would. He wanted his friend back.

"Oh sweetie," Kana scoped her son and held them close. She patted his back and praised his effort for making this all by himself. "Tell you what. I'll help you make more of these and we can walk around town and see if anyone saw him."

"Ok!" Shuichi cheered excitedly. Maybe he'll see Izuku again really soon.

Meanwhile in the Endeavour agency, chaos. Pure, oddly efficient chaos and All Might had a front-row seat.

He came by to chat with the flame hero but paused to try and copperhead the sight before him. "What am I looking at?" Usually, there would be various sidekicks or callers on each desk really to take in calls. Or at least that is what he would think. This was the first time he sent foot in another hero agency. Let alone Endeavour's. Last he was expecting was an army of duplicates of the same man. They were everywhere. Talking calls, sweeping the floors, washing the windows, pampering some of the sidekicks that came back from a job. He wasn't sure if to call in amazing or creepy.

"That's our newbie, Jin," the sidekick that escorted him in explained. "He doesn't have his hero licence yet, so he couldn't go on the field. He wanted to help so we put in on caller duty. But he made too many clones, so he's been doing a lot of odd jobs."

"Endeavour's agency. State your emergency."

"WHO WANTS COFFEE!"

"Kid this is an important line. Not a pizza delivery service."

Truly it was a surreal sight. They were so alike. So, in sync. So, many of them.

The sidekick giggled at the number hero gaping mouth before continuing to explain. "Mr Darewell was supposed to have lessons with him, but he's been MIA…"

All Might knew it all too well. Since the man heard of Izuku's disappearance he outright disappeared as well. Without a work. And they complain that he was the responsible one. Meanwhile, they disappeared without so much as a warning. Even though he was supposed to be talking are of Tenko today and yet he's nowhere to be seen. So, he asked Gran Torino to take him after school. Hopefully, they don't get into any trouble. For some reason, he received a bill for damages for this retirement home. He still doesn't know the full story other than the aftermath. A broken window, a door, a fish tank, and something about a wheelchair in a fountain.

But forget about that man. All Might hand one other to worry about. The hero was led to a two-sided mahogany door. Polished to a shine. It was pridefully grand and intimidating much like the hero inside. He gave a quick farewell to the sidekick before knocking on the door.

The was no response. Only an eerie quiet.

Worry filled the hero's thoughts. He knew it was pointless to try again. So, he rolled the dice and hoped he won't get burned. Slowly, creaked the door open and he peeked in. "Endeavour?" He called. The room was dimly lit. The brightest light was made by them.

Enji sat in the middle of his desk. His flames were wilder than usual. Howling with smoke and rage. His face was illuminated by the light of his laptop. The expression it revealed was unkind annoyance. That was the type of glare he had when the number 1 hero rudely barged into his office. "What do you want?" He tried to sound professional but the added hiss at the end showed his true feelings.

Gulping, All Might hurried inside and bowed. "I came to offer my services."

"I don't need your help!" Enji shirked. His flames roared louder over his face and upper body. The flame hero shot up from his chair knocking aside. He came with heavy step as he stomped towards the hero who dared look down at him. Like always. So high and might that they believe he needed them. "You think I'm so inept that I would need you? Izuku is my son. This is my problem. You stay out of it!" He roared at their face.

Despite the flames and heat slicing at his skin, All Might stood firm. "I'm not going to say out of it." "I am a hero. So long as someone asks for my help. I will answer the call."

"I never asked for your help," Enji roared balling a flames fist.

"You're getting I anyway!" All Might yelled back while grabbing the flame fist. It forced the two to look eye to eye. That's when he noticed the dark rings under the flame hero's eyes. Even with his flames covering them, they were pronounced. "You haven't slept at all have you?"

"How can I?" Enji growled. He hasn't slept a wink all night. Too busy analysing CCTV recordings and interrogating every single person that crossed that street. "How dare they take my son." He couldn't even begin to express how angry he was. Not without setting his agency ablaze until there's nothing but ashes. He thought of his son. His precious little Izuku. They must be so scared. What are those villains doing to him? What did they want? Money? Some sick kick? Or is this another way to ruin his reputation and drag him to the mud? One thing was for sure. If there was so much as one hair out of place on their head, he will incinerate them.

It was dark yet cosy. Everything was perfectly designed made to satisfy a young child like him. A comfy bed. A wardrobe filled with clothes his exacted size. Toys. Books. Video games. Everything. As if it was made of him. There was even a plate of warm food. His favourite pork cutlet blow. Sitting there waiting for him. Yet Izuku didn't touch any of it. He stayed at the centre. Away from the bed. Away from the toys. The food. Holding on to the only thing he truly owned. His backpack with his precious stuff toy poking out it's flaming head,

He wasn't sure what happened. One second was rushing to his father. The next he was suspended in mid-air. He couldn't move. Nor could he see. It was so scary. The next thing that happened was him stumbling in front of two men. One of them got angry when he called them a man. If it wasn't for the other man, he would have died on the spot. Then the angry person grabbed him by the hair and threw him inside the room. He sat there for hours.

He tried to open the door, but it was locked. So too were the windows. Even if they weren't it was a several meter drop. There was no way out. He was trapped. He didn't know why he was here. Ransom? Revenge? Possible, but wasn't concrete. If they wanted ransom money his father would have come to get him by now. Revenge was a possibility, but he didn't recognise any of the two captors from his father's list of villains fought. It was something else. He just wasn't sure what.

"What should I do?" He thought aloud. One single thought came to mind:

'When you're quirkless you cannot afford hesitation. Opportunities don't come often to people like us. That's why we must take full advantage of them.'

Was that what he was supposed to do? Sit and wait unlit an opportunity arises. It didn't sit well with him, but what else could he do? He sat and waited, doing the one thing he's best at. Getting lost in his own thoughts.

AN: fun fact since I forgot to mention it before the girl Touya dated was younger Mt lady, Yu Takeyama. Don't know if she was at U.A in the original but she is now. I thank the random guest that pointed out she was of age. Her personality was perfect for that role and may contribute to some funny secnes in the future.
