AN:I don't own MHA

Stay calm

It was a bright sunny morning and Alex was happily humming to herself. Today she'll see that nice old man again at the café. Thankfully all the staff members were friendly. If only a little intimidating. The rumours of them being yakuza seemed vailed, but under all those tattoos, scary faces and…sculpted muscles. They were nice. Nicer than others who always questioned her appearance. Especially this one guy. He was easy to talk to, funny, had such kind eyes. Maybe they could talk some more. Exchange contact details if she was lucky.

While getting ready, she spotted her cute cat pin Izuku made her. Such a sweet boy. He always looked so sad if she didn't wear this. It was always a heart-breaking seeing his little lip quiver. Asking where her cat pin was and if she hated it. No, she loved it. Sure, it wasn't in one of her favourite colours and was mildly misshapen, but it was a gift. One she'll treasure. She couldn't wait to play with Izuku again. Especially, since he'll be leaving in the next couple of days. Hopefully to a better place than his old home. Although she'll somewhat miss that fancy apartment he and her besting were staying at.

'Where was the hotel again?'

"Huh?" Alex paused when the thought whispered at the back of her mind. Where was that hotel again? She can be forgetful at times. One time she even knocked on the wrong apartment. It was embarrassing getting judgmental eyes from the owner. Their inappropriate questions made it so much worst. "I better double-check." She quickly took out her phone and checked through her messages. Then made a mental note of the address Ken gave her. "Alright. To White Lotus!" She cheered and marched out of her apartment.

In the shadows of an alley, a pair of deep blue eyes watched her intensely. Their eyes never left her back until they disappeared into a corner. He looked back to the file in his hands. "The Shie Hassaikai information network is impressive." After hearing about the call lead, he headed to the café to interrogate the group for details. He didn't expect was them to work overtime trying to track down the consumer tied to the missing Todoroki's captors. They wanted to find them at the earliest in fear of the worst. That's when he offered to track them down in their stead. Then they wouldn't get into unnecessary trouble. It would not look good for them if their gang started prowling around the streets interrogating passers-by. Luckily, their information was right on the mark. "Better act fast."

The second the Endeavour agency heard the phone call order from the old Yakuza boss, Enji was ready to pounce. It took all his sidekicks to pin the man down before he did anything reckless, and burn possibly their best chance to find the missing child. All Might joined, saying they needed a solid plan before rushing in.

Enji had a solid plan. Find the creep that was supposed to pick up the order. Arrest them and make them tell him where his son was. Or be burned alive! He was only half-serious about that last point. If they dared try and play the admirable route. Say they would never rat out their companions. He'll be sure to make them regret every action. He will get his son back one way or another.

All Might proposed a more delicate approach. Stalking the captor back to where they were holding the child. That way their other allies wouldn't be suspicious if one of them goes missing and then bolt to a new location. That and if they accidentally got the wrong guy no harm no foul. At least with this approach, they could find Izuku. Then proceeded to get him back safely. One problem. Neither of the heroes were exactly the best at stealth given their large bodies. One of them with a fiery temper.

Each of the sidekicks volunteered. Any one of them would have been a good fit. However, someone beat them to it. While the sidekicks conversed and argue about who should go on the mission a series of dings and vibrations came from Enji's pocket. Annoyed he grabbed his phone half tempted to crush it. That was until he glanced at the sender's name.

Curiosity, All Might lean closer to a better look. "Who's it from?"

"Arata," Enji explained while reading the messages further. His eyes widen. "We have to go now!"

It didn't take Enji and All Might long to find Arata on top of a building he was stationed. The two of them were advised to go undercover just in case. With their flashy consumes they were easy to spot at a distance. They rather not alert the villains and any of their accomplices.

Arata wore a loose, white tailored suit with blue accented rims and a top hat with a blue ribbon. His blazer had a forked tongue coat tail that reached halfway down his thighs. As the tails fluttered up it revealed the darker blue inner lining. Various belts were attached to his waist in a crisscross pattern. Each one held a sword that hung diagonally at his side. His tied dark navy locks tipped with blonde danced with the wind. For both men this was the first time they have seen the man in proper uniform.

Sensing their presents, Arata turned around. He wore no mask, choosing to leave his face bare along with his deep scars. The blazer he wore was partly opened. Ends attached with silver chains and decorative buttons. Showing the skylight blue shirt underneath. Around his neck was a deep blue ascot that matched his coat inner lining. Its design was as simplistic as everything else. The only standout was this bright green gem keeping the ascot in place. Coldly, he looked over at the men in uninspired trenched coats. "You're late," he greeted. "I expected more from you, Enji."

"Hi to you too." All Might groaned caustically under his breath. Knowing full well he left his name out on purpose. "I see you're in uniform. Got a hero name we should call you by?"

Arata sighed heavily. "I suppose since this is a proper case, I should follow protocol," Elegantly he bowed in greeting. "If you must, call me Esper."

That aside, Arata began informing them of them was the building Izuku was currently being held in. It was a fancy place. Tall with hundreds of rooms, vibrantly clean painted walls, a fashionable red carpet, and a European's engraving decorations. Not your everyday kidnapping hangout, yet somehow Izuku was in one of those rooms. "I've been using my telepathy to contact Izuku and look into the state of his kidnappers," he explained. He and Izuku have been talking. It was a burden off of his mind to hear the child happy and unharmed. The child gave him all the information they have collected. The villains' names, quirks, and other general information.

But that didn't matter to Enji. Worriedly, he leaned over the edge trying to find any sign of Izuku through the widows. "How is he?"

"I told you he's well." Arata repeated simply. It's actually impressive how fine the child was. Any other kidnapping usually had some extent of harm. Yet, combined with Izuku's wits and an unknown reason to keep them safe, Izuku managed to remain completely untouched. "He's managed to gain their trust, but unsure of why they targeted him. According to him, they're working for someone else. They'll be picking him in a couple of days."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Enji was half away jumping into the fray until Arata stopped him and pulled him back by the neck of his coat.

"Stay calm, Enji. Harsh actions are ill-advised," Arata warned. This wasn't a suspicious run-down building. Nor a secluded area. This is a suburban area. Homed to many civilians. Most a high numbered bank accounts. Some influential. Especially to the hero industry. Crashing in recklessly could put them in danger and cause unwanted press. If any of them happened to be someone of interest or connected to someone of interest. It doesn't matter if you're a hero. Their reputation will be on the line or at the very least receive an unwanted lecture from the commission. Depending on the amount of influence these people have. The average hero's license could be on the line. This place wasn't chosen randomly. It was purposely chosen to make this recuse mission as hard as possible. "Whoever planned this is highly intelligent. They covered all their bases."

"Except for me." All Might picked up his phone and made a quick call. "Nighteye. How is everything on your end?" If anyone could bypass all those problems, it would be the number 1 hero plus some extra help.

"We're ready whenever you are," called a voice through the speaker.

Below was a growing group. Most were hiding at the street corner or in parked cards. Place all around the building blocking any escape roots. All of which were either cops or sidekicks. Ready to act and raid the building. It took a lot of planning, but it was able to be done swiftly thanks to All Might's one and only sidekick. Sir Nighteye. The man had a knack for quick last-minute planning. They had to be since All Might waits for no one. All that was left was a signal.

Proudly, the hero stepped over the edge while dramatically throwing away his trench coat disguise showing off his loud costume. His long strands are free to flow with the wind. It was time to bring the young Todoroki home. "Never fear for I'm…"

Bang!

The loud sound roared shocking the heroes, but none more than the number 1. "GAA!" All Might tried to grip back the scream of pain making a sound like a stress muffle. Unbalanced, the hero found himself tipping back in the arms of the others. The pain was focused on one area. His right ankle that was bleeding out. A hole burst right through it.

There was a pause of shock as the three stared at the sudden wound. It wasn't until another bang rang were they knocked back to their senses. "Get down!" Enji yelled grabbing both Arata and All Might with him as he rushed for cover.

Shot after shot rained down at them. Only missing them by a hair's length. There seemed to only be one person since only a single line of bullets followed them until they found cover by the top entrance. With that wall shielding them, the three recovered their thoughts.

All Might was holding on to his bleeding ankle. Whoever made the shot, they were clearly trying to stop them. No doubt a villain associate but where? Judging by the shots fired they had to be nearby on a higher elevation. Enji had similar, but more aggravated thoughts. They were just another obstacle they had to deal with swiftly to get his son black. Arata had other thoughts.

The man couldn't take their eyes off those bullets. They were long and partly embedded in the cracking concrete. Such master marksmanship to be able to follow them so quickly with near-perfect accuracy. As if they knew exactly where to shoot and missed on purpose. There was something else about them. Their colour. An intertwining pink and blue. They weren't ordinary rather familiar. "It can't be."

'Ararat sensei!'

Arata was suddenly snapped out of his trance. Somehow the mental connection he was keeping with Izuku was still attached. They sounded panicked. "Izuku?"

'there's black mist everywhere.'

"Black mist?" Arata parroted a loud.

That was enough of a trigger to make Enji's body move. Not bothering to untie his coat the hero's flames burst through. Burning the fabric to ashes revealing his usual flame costume underneath. Like hell he'll let them get away with his son. Running on pure adrenaline, Enji dashes out from the safety of the wall right into the open line of fire.

"Enji! No!" Arata screamed but was too late to pull the hero back.

The barrage of bullets came one after the other. Using pure instincts, Enji barely dodged the bullet hell. Some of them snagging his hero costume. Ripping them and scarring his skin. He didn't feel it. No pain registered in his mind, only the pure need to get his son back. Nothing was going to stop him. His flames roared louder and louder along with the gunshots. They gathered around one of the sides of his arms making them look twice as large. Then, swaying in an arch motion, he created a thick tall wall of fire. The bullets tried to pass through the wall, but they disintegrated on impact. Oddly, turning to ash rather than molten metal.

Once the flame hero reached the edge, fire burst from his heels lunching him straight to the building. More so the room his son was being held in. It was easy to guess which one with the black mist comment. Only one of the windows was filled with pitch black, with whips mist seemed out from the cracks. His son was in that room, and he was going to get him back.

Meanwhile, All Might hurried patched up his shot ankle using ripped pieces of his own trench coat. He watched as the flame hero rush ahead and jump off of the rooftop. They need to hurry if they wanted to follow him. Swiftly, All Might scoop up Arata forcing the man to hang off his shoulder and raced to the edge.

"Wait!"

All Might ignored the pleas and dashed off at full speed. Surprisingly, no bullets came their way. It was a swift, clam dash to the edge. Then the hero leapt off following the flame hero's light.

Up ahead, Enji's fire burned hotter. A blustering blaze that propelled him faster. He crashed into the dark window. His sight was completely black. "Izuku!" He yelled in the dark void. He wasn't sure what he was in. It didn't have any weight to it. Whisked around him like smoke, but had no odour of ash. That and no matter how bright his flames got it never lit the darkness. He called for his son louder yet heard nothing. Dizziness soon hit him. His body felt light as if it was floating. A force pulled him in. He tried to fight it, but he couldn't pull away. He had no other choice but to let the darkness take him.

The dizziness came to a stop. Enji felt his body land on a cold concrete surface. His eyes opened to blurred vision, but at least he had some vision. That dark misty substance seemed to be gone allowing him a full sight of the area. It looked nothing of what he expected. He was sure he crashed into an apartment room not this. The area itself was large. A metal railing gave way to a second storey walkway suspended by pipes. Elongated lights were firmly planted on the ceiling lighting the dark. There was unknown machinery, and stacks of wooden crates of various sizes. It looked more like a warehouse rather than an apartment room. The question was: how did he get there?

The question was immediately thrown away in favour of something important. Where was his son? Once, Enji got his bearings, he shot half his body up and fanatically looked around. "Izuku? Izuku?"

"Father!"

He turned around the second he heard the call. With tears in their eyes and a mildly runny nose was his boy. Enji was tempted to shed some of his own tears but held them back in favour of smiling. He rushed up to the boy holding him as tight as he possibly could without suffocating them. The boy happily accepted. Weeping in their arms saying how scary it was being away from him. He nodded with the boys' wails comforting him with hugs and sweet words. "It's ok Izuku. We'll go home soon."

They weren't the only ones brought here. In the last second before the mist disappeared All Might jumped in with Arata over his shoulder. Both men ended up there. One more in pain than the other. All Might sat on the floor readjusting his sloppily done cloth bandages leg. "I should not have used that foot to launch from," he groaned in a jokey manner.

"Moran," Arata snapped back. Annoyed by the hero's sloppy bandaged work, he took over. He used a fresh piece of cloth to pad out the bleeding wound before wrapping it with bandages he had on hand. He inspected the wound. It was a clear shot to a significant area. Logically, he shouldn't be able to use this leg. "How are you even still able to move?"

"Strength of will," The hero proudly announced. Both half-serious and half-joking.

Izuku then came rushing up to them with his father following closely behind him. The child jumped at his teacher crying. Arata accepted the child rubbing away their stress while All Might simply laugh saying they'll be safe now. The child was overjoyed. It was finally over. His heroes were here, and they could finally go home.

At least that was what they all hoped.

Their celebration was cut short with the sound of steps walking on metal. It was a calm yet ominous sound that leisurely made its way across the walkway above them. The area was darkly lit, but they could still see someone walking along the rail. The figure seemed to be man ravage in height. There was nothing else distinct about them until they pass the line to the light. The shadows drew themselves back as if they feared the man. A pair of piercing red eyes looked down at the group. They were chilling.

The second the heroes saw him they were on edge. A sudden chill sliced down their bodies. Two of them had no idea why their instincts were going haywire. The man looked normal. An unassuming businessman in a simple black suit that was missing a tie. Hair was pure white. Shortly cut and curled in random directions. However, one of them knew him. They were a man he could never forget.

Then man soon paused and faced the group. Their face was harsh and cold, but there was this gleam of curiosity in their red eyes. "It appears some extras got caught in the net."

That voice. He could never forget that voice. It's a deep and commanding tone. Mixed with a touch of sick whimsy and curiosity. That voice. This man. He made All Might blood boil to levels that matched the sun. "You."

The man grinned with wicked glee. "What shall I do?"
