(Chapter 12)
Samantha was holding herself as she sat in a helicopter, 'Where are they taking us? Oh~please let Bumblebee and Prowl be safe.' However, she knew they weren't, and it made her heart tremble. She'd seen the damage to Prowl's wings and wanted nothing more than to hold and fix them and alleviate any pain he was feeling. And Bumblebee left her heart aching to protect him.
Meanwhile, Prowl and Bumblebee were in a plane heading to Hoover Dam. They have been fighting against the humans holding them down, and a few have been badly injured. Prowl was shouting profanity and made blatant promises to torture these humans. They took his Samantha, and he wanted her back! The pain from his door wings meant nothing as he attempted to break his restraints. The humans were scared and confused as Prowl kept shouting for them to give her back. They didn't know who he was talking about, nor did they care. His praxus mating protocols were overwhelming his processor.
Bumblebee's optics were still red, and it was only worsened by his desire to protect Samantha. If they even attempted a single experiment on her, he'd kill them all! He'd already injured several humans, and he'd be surprised if they lived. Who did these pathetic organics think they were!? He'd break free from his restraints, and when he does, he'll hunt Samantha down. As a scout, he could track her scent for miles, and the thought of never seeing her again frightened him. Wizards were right to hide from muggles. They were nothing but savages.
In the helicopter, Samantha was riding with Agent Simmons, Mikaela, and two other people. One was a beautiful woman with blond hair, while her friend was somewhat overweight and was staring at her. Maggie looked at Samantha, "So what did they get you for?"
Samantha glanced at her, "I bought a car⦠turned out to be an alien robot who's now my closest friend."
Glen looked amazed at what she was saying. "Cool."
"Yourself?" Samantha asked.
Maggie glanced at Agent Simmons, "I'm an analyst who discovered an alien frequency. Got caught. So, why are the aliens looking for you?" She'd cracked some of the transmissions and data, and the Witwicky family kept appearing.
"It's a long story. And I'd be delighted to tell you if I weren't thinking about my friends being tortured right now." Samantha glared at Agent Simmons. He could hear her but said nothing.
(Observatory)
Optimus and the remaining Autobots were left sickened at their current situation. Their allies and fellow Autobots were captured, and they did nothing. Optimus⦠he regrets not stepping in. Now he had no idea where Samantha was or Bumblebee and Prowl. He kept trying to tell himself this was for the greater good, but for once, a part of him didn't care. His spark was shouting for him to find Samantha and protect her. What else mattered?
Jazz was sitting on the roof with his arms crossed, "Fire it up, Optimus. You've already sacrificed four of us to get those glasses." Optimus frowned at him.
Ironhide was huffing, "We should've stepped in! You want to protect those humans, Prime? After how they treat their kind?" A part of Ironhide had always been in denial about Samantha's claims on what muggles did to wizards, but after the recent event, he was scared. The great and powerful Ironhide was terrified of what they might do to Samantha. Would they experiment on her like a lab rat? The giant mech turned and kicked the wall, destroying it. 'After we get the Allspark, I'm comin' for ya.' He refused to leave Samantha in the hands of those lunatics.
Optimus could see that all his men were angry with him, "Enough! We cannot risk the Allspark falling into the Decepticon's hands."
Ironhide was snarling, "If we don't know where it is, how would they!? We could've stepped in, and it's your fault!" Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were leaning against the wall, glaring daggers at Optimus. "You saw how those fleshlings acted! They'll just tear Samantha open and expect to find somethin'." Ratchet was trembling at the idea. As a medic, the thought of Samantha being dissected and experimented on makes him regret all of his tests. The femme must be scared, and it makes his spark cry out.
"Ironhide, that is enough!" Optimus shouted as his optics turned purple. It was rare to see Optimus lose his temper, especially this quickly. The voice in the back of his processor was calling him a failure and a disgrace. He should have protected what could have been his future sparkmate. He felt as though he'd betrayed Samantha after everything she did for them.
'βπ±'π° πΆπ¬π²π― π£ππ²π©π±' The powerful voice inside his processor said with disdain. 'πππ πππ'π πππππππ πππ πππππ!'
Optimus shook his head as his optics burned, 'Silence!' He shouted at the voice.
'ππ₯π’ π΄ππ° π¬π²π―π° ππ«π‘ πΆπ¬π² ππππ«π‘π¬π«π’π‘ π¬π²π― π°πππ―π¨πͺππ±π’!' Optimus clutched his head as thoughts were projected into his processor. The Autobots watched their leader's face contort as he became enraged with himself. None of them, not even Ratchet, had seen so much emotion on Optimus's face.
Ratchet cleared his throat, "Optimus, the glasses."
Coming out of his despair, Optimus attempted to ignore the voice in his mind, "Please work." He pulled the glasses out and lifted them up. Shooting rays from his optics, the Autobots saw a hologram of Earth and a single dot showing exactly where the Allspark was located. Optimus read the rest of the coordinates, "The code on these glasses indicate the Allspark is 230 miles from here." Just before Optimus pulled the glasses away, he saw a human eye appear from the lens. The Prime shouted in distress as he threw the glasses to the ground.
The rest of the bots were concerned, "Optimus, what's wrong?" Ironhide asked. They all watched in confusion as the glasses slid across the ground and stood upward on the stems.
There was a brief silence before all the Autobots were thrown back by a powerful wave of dark magic. A black plume of ash and darkness bellowed out of the glasses, with screams of terror echoing loudly. The observatory was destroyed as a wave of powerful magic caused it to collapse. Dark clouds rolled in from miles away, leaving the area stripped of joy or beauty. Jazz was covering his audio receptors as they were overwhelmed by the sound, "Agh!" It felt like someone was digging their way into his processor and spark.
"Autobots, retreat!" Optimus struggled to stand as he looked up and saw the black mass of magic congealed and spin. His optics were burning as he saw the face of a man appear from the entity. However, none of the Autobots could hear him. This⦠thing⦠was too loud.
The Autobots listened to the sound of a man's laugh, "I have seen your kind before. And I have seen your failures as a species. Greed⦠envy⦠power! What does a machine know of power or magic?" Ironhide scampered back in fear as he saw scraplets crawled out from the cloud of darkness. However, it was just a horrific illusion playing with his fears, "You are a wretched species. Driven by arrogance." Smoke shot out and seemed to cover Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, who screamed in agony as their sparks felt horrific pain. "I have observed your memories, Optimus Prime. Your drives and ambitions. A pathetic creation you are compared to a wizard." Fire erupted from the center of the oil-like smoke, and the Autobots could hear distorted screams.
Ratchet was holding his helm as his processor was burned with horrific illusions. Things beyond the imagination or ability of a Cybertronian. "What are you!?" He was able to shout out.
The Autobots watched as a mass of flesh congealed from the flames, and the smoke found its way back to cover the man. Archibald took a deep breath after years of being trapped in those vile glasses. His feet touched the ground as his skin reformed. Opening his eyes, he looked at Ratchet with a glare, "You dare address me, filthy machine!?" Forcing his hand down, Ratchet shouted as powerful magic pushed his head into the ground and started to crush him. He was helpless.
Ironhide lifted his cannon and shot at Archibald; however, the blast from his gun stopped midair. As if time had been frozen. "I~Impossible," Ironhide said.
Turning to Ironhide, Archilad lifted his hands and made strange motions with his hands. The remains of the building rose into the air before slamming into the mech. Ironhide struggled to stand but was unprepared for the blinding red light shot from the human's hand, "Crucio!"
Ironhide shouted in utter agony as he was tortured with the cruciatus curse. "AGH!" He was spasming on the ground as an indescribable pain attacked his frame, processor, and spark. He'd never felt such agonizing pain in all of his existence. Ironhide collapsed and could barely move after Archibald stopped. The war-hardened Autobot was riddled with fear. He'd been tortured by Decepticons, but this magic⦠This utterly dark magic made him feel pain beyond his comprehension.
Archibald looked around. His white beard slowly grew back, "Disgusting machines! You dare strike a wizard such as myself?" He asked calmly. None of the Autobots could stand as Archibald's magic was too powerful to resist. Even Optimus was unable to move. He forced them down with little effort. Approaching Optimus, Archibald frowned at the Autobot Leader as he spits energon from his mouth, "Yes, I know you. Optimus Prime⦠What a horrible name. It echoes arrogance. It was your species fault I've done this to my soul! What I've sacrificed for my kind. But, what would you know of sacrifice?" Archibald presented his weakened form.
Optimus struggled to stand, "Release us, now!"
Archibald's eyes glowed, and Optimus shouted in pain as his helm was crushed, "Watch your tongue. I⦠am Archibald Witwicky."
To the side, Ratchet was wincing, "I~Impossible⦠he died. Samantha told us."
"Samantha?" Archibald tested the name, "Yes, my great-granddaughter." Looking at his hands, he sneered at how vulnerable he was, "A travesty I have need of my own descendent. She deserves so much better. But I have come too far to stop what I've started. I've sacrificed too much to die in that icy cavern. Forced to wait and watch for decades!"
"You will not touch her," Optimus said with purple optics. He didn't know why Archibald needed Samantha, but it was not pleasant by the man's wording.
"And who will stop me? You?" They listened as Archibald gave a hearty laugh, "A machine⦠haha⦠against a wizard?" Flicking Optimus's nose with his finger, the Prime winced as he felt several of his systems overload and break. "A mere flick from my finger, and you break. But my vengeance is not for you. Though, I am not without mercy for bringing me back. Pray we never cross paths again." Optimus was glaring at Archibald as he leaned close to his eye, "You are but a speck of dust beneath my fingernail. I saw your desire for my own flesh and blood," He gagged at the idea, "Do you think a Witwicky would ever choose you? That you or your species could ever comprehend love or magic? Do not get in my way." Archibald disapparated, and the Autobots were freed from his magic. Though the glasses were missing, and the building they'd been standing on was ruined. The clouds blanketed the sky, and it began to drizzle.
Sunstreaker was struggling to stand. He felt sick and weak, "What was that? Who was that human?"
Ratchet went to check on Ironhide, but the mech jumped when he was touched, "Get off me!" Ironhide shouted in fear. His mind still felt the echoing pain of the cruciatus curse. They'd never seen Ironhide so⦠scared. They just believed Ironhide didn't even know what fear was.
Optimus stood, but his helm was damaged and leaking a bit of energon, "Ironhide, we are not going to harm you."
Jazz was clutching his head, "Who the frag does that human think he is? He's not gonna lay a servo on Sammy."
Sideswipe was holding his spark, "Primus⦠I felt like my spark was going to explode." When he was attacked, he couldn't feel his brother through their bond for the first time in his life. They had been separated across the galaxy, and still, he would be able to hear and feel his brother. However, this foul magic disrupted that bond.
Ironhide collapsed against the remains of a wall as Ratchet ran a diagnosis on him, "Your systems are running at suboptimal levels." Ratchet said. "What did he do to you?"
"I⦠I can't explain it." It was difficult for Ironhide to speak as the Autobots gathered around him. Optimus looked furious to see one of his own so severely injured. "Whatever magic he used, I've never experienced pain like that before. Primus, I thought I was going to lose my processor."
Optimus had a persistent frown on his face, "The cruciatus curse." He said aloud. The Autobots looked at him with confused optics. "Samantha had mentioned this form of magic to me. She explained the spell was meant to torture individuals, but I had not expected this." To see one of his strongest Autobots cower in fear only made him wonder what exactly Ironhide felt.
Ironhide shook his helm, "I'll live. Let's just get outta here before he decides to come back."
Sunstreaker looked around and was left speechless. 'Not⦠possible. He is just a human.'
The Autobots soon transformed and left the ruined remains of the observatory. Optimus was left conflicted, like the rest of them. Why did Archibald want Samantha? They still couldn't wrap their processors around how he could return, having been dead for so long. And how had he released him? There were so many questions the Autobots desired answered⦠but the only human they knew who could even give them an inkling was taken by Sector 7.
As for Ironhide, he would spend the rest of his days knowing precisely what true torture felt like. 'He's not gonna lay a servo on my femme.' If this wizard could make a mech like him break, he was furious at the prospect of Archibald getting his hands on Samantha. "Why does he need Samantha?" Ironhide asked through the comm-link. They were all still in a state of shock.
Optimus frowned from within his alt-form, "He did not explain. But I fear his intentions for Samantha are less than honorable."
(Abandoned Warehouse Outside Tranquility)
Soundwave, Shockwave, and Barricade stood staring at a holographic screen of the Witwicky household as it collapsed in on itself. Frenzy had been spying on Samantha, per her secret agreement with Soundwave, but none of the Decepticons were prepared to see this. However, Shockwave was brimming with curiosity at the impossible. He waved his servo in front of the holographic screen, and the video stopped.
Barricade's jaw was slightly dropped, "And here I thought the human ratted us out." They had been waiting for a few hours for Samantha to arrive, but this explained why she wasn't here. Unbeknownst to the Autobots, Samantha was divided on who she should give the glasses to and had been meeting Soundwave in secret for the last two weeks. Left with no idea who to fully trust, she'd promised to provide Soundwave the glasses; if he gave his word, no harm would come to Earth or the Autobots. Such an important decision seemed foolish to leave on a simple promise, but Soundwave had given his word. Though for the Decepticons, it was partly true. They had no reason or need to harm Earth or the humans as long as they stayed out of their way. Their objective was to locate the Allspark and Megatron, nothing more.
Shockwave's golden eye burned brightly, "And where do these vile humans think they are taking this femme?" Seeing Samantha taken away in a car left the Decepticon scientist riddled with irritation. There was more to this femme than he initially assumed, and now she was missing. They were also left at a loss. She was their only hope to find the Allspark.
Soundwave frowned behind his faceplate. His spark was consumed in an inferno of rage. These humans dressed in strange suits kidnapped his femme. Not to mention their only lead to the Allspark. There was no doubt in Soundwave's mind that Megatron himself would be grateful that this human willing planned to give them the glasses. While she made it clear she was going to give the Autobots the location of the Allspark, she'd promised them to deliver the glasses as soon as they left. Samantha, while ashamed to betray the Autobots in such a way, could not take sides. She saw neither side of the Cybertronian civil war as right or wrong, just conflicting shades of grey. Whoever got the Allspark first was up to fate.
Barricade growled, "Now how are we to locate Lord Megatron and the Allspark? The only femme with her helm on straight is missing." When Soundwave explained to Shockwave and him the humans' proposition on giving them the glasses, they were shocked. Even Shockwave found no logical reason for her to help them. The only explanation was she hadn't been indoctrinated by the Autobots' noble ideals of freedom for all, or so they claim. Barricade continued to growl. He'd been quick to judge this human and pushed her into the arms of the Autobots. Despite everything he'd put her through, she was still willing to be neutral, and for that, he respected her. "No good Autobots would probably have killed her if they found out she was going to help us," Barricade said aloud.
Shockwave found himself growing increasingly irritated. "Indeed. Despite her logical approach to not favor either of our factions, I cannot deny the Autobots would attempt to harm her for her supposed betrayal." He understood Samantha's judgment for assisting them. She did not fancy either side, Autobot or Decepticon, blaming humans for their reason the other had lost the Allspark. She was remaining neutral, as she should. "Even a human has more logical sense than these Autobots. How embarrassing." How can a human have more logical sense than a Cybertronian!? What has their species come to?
Soundwave fiddled with some buttons on his stomach, and the holographic screen projected a map of the United States. There was a green dot in the southern part of Nevada. "Femme located," Soundwave said with little emotion.
Shockwave lifted his arm and armed the cannon he had for a right hand, "If I find a hair out of place on this femme, I will be very irritated." The fact that she was around other humans would only hinder his data. Not to mention, there was a 31% chance of her meeting an appropriate human mate near this so-called Las Vegas. Shockwave's spark felt an irritating itch at the idea of Samantha carrying some random fleshling's bastard child. 'A 14.52% chance these human doctors will destroy her womb beyond repair. I will not allow such a scientific discovery to be destroyed.' All his research, which was now only 39.2234% complete, indicated her womb could carry a cybertronian's sparkling. As the Decepticons transformed and traced the signal of Samantha's phone, Shockwave was growling at his unexpected behavior. '2,412 processor wipes, 34 data rewrites, and 10 spark-chamber reboots, and I cannot eliminate these⦠feelings. What has this human done to my systems?'
Shockwave was befuddled, but even he was forced to recognize the return of his⦠emotions. Anger, irritation, even a tiny trace of fear lingered in the back of his processor and spark. He'd deleted his feelings eons ago because he'd found them to be meaningless and offered nothing for his devotion to science. But following his encounter with Samantha at the drive-in theater, when he'd smelled her scent, he hadn't been the same. Just the slightest thought of her scent made his spike throb in pain, and it sickened him. He was above such primitive pleasures to be acting like a heated sparkling. Shockwave hadn't been this irritated since he'd learned of The Great Sentinel Prime's delusional deal with Megatron. From one ingenious scientist to another, he was ashamed to hear of all beings that Sentinel Prime wanted to use these lower life forms to rebuild Cybertron as slaves. 'I suppose even the greatest minds, such as his, are easily corrupted by their lust for power.'
Shockwave did not care for humans, nor what happened to them. But he found Sentinel Prime to be arrogant, envious, and delusional. No mech was more intelligent than him. Sentinel, and his fellow Autobots, boasted of his space bridge technology, which furthered Shockwave's disdain for the Prime. 'Hmm⦠Sentinel Prime, the creator of Space Bridge technology? If my emotions weren't erased, I might laugh. The technology is from the Quintessons, yet he boasted as if it were his own creation.' Nothing gets under the Decepticon's wires and circuits easier than when someone is a fraud, especially within the field of science.
The Telecommunications Officer growled as he drove down the naked stretch of highway with a police cruiser and purple tank. 'Autobot deceivers.' No words could describe his disdain for the Autobot cause and its false beacon of freedom. Soundwave did not despise Optimus, rather the arrogant bots who served him. They only believed in freedom for Cybertronians without regard for other life forms. A notable femme he hated was Elita-One. Soundwave's gold optics burned brightly upon envisioning this disgraceful pink femme. Even Lord Megatron found the femme to be a bothersome bug. Arrogant⦠needy⦠and her disregard for any life besides that of a cybertronian. What Optimus Prime saw in this femme was beyond his scope of comprehension. She was a vain, manipulative, two-faced femme and a preacher of false information. At least, this was his personal opinion of the femme.
(Hoover Dam)
Samantha sat quietly looking out the window of a car, her heart pounding with fear, 'Please let Bumblebee and Prowl be safe.' She'd never forgive these muggles if they hurt either of them. 'What am I thinking? They've already damaged Prowl's wing. He looked like he was in so much pain.' She desperately wanted to fix his wings and relieve any pain he was feeling. At the same time, she was concerned about her planned meeting with Soundwave. 'He's probably going to be furious with me.' Despite her love and care for the Autobots, she did not take all their ideas to heart. 'They'd never forgive me if they found out, but I can't take sides in their war. I'm so sorry, Optimus.' She was practically stabbing them in the back, but she couldn't just accept the Autobot cause despite falling head-over-heels for these bots.
Shifting in her seat, Samantha looked to her left, "I'm guessing you were caught up in this as well?" Seated next to her was an army soldier who looked a little banged up, but he obviously wasn't with Sector Seven.
William looked at Samantha. His hand was resting atop his knee, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
Samantha, for the first time in hours, gave a little laugh, "I could say the same thing. I'm Samantha Witwicky." She awkwardly waved her hand.
He nodded and extended his hand, "Captain William Lennox. So you know about the giant robots I take?" Looking at the other people in the car, they noticed almost everyone was asleep.
"You mean the Autobots and Decepticons? I'm very familiar with them⦠in a manner of speaking." Samantha said with a smirk. She could tell Lennox was confused, "Those giant robots are fighting a civil war, and I happened to have something they needed. It's a long story." William nodded. Samantha looked down at William's hand and noticed his wedding ring. "Your wife must miss you."
William smiled, "We just had a little girl."
Samantha's eyes widened, "Oh! Congratulations. What's her name?"
"Annabelle."
"That's a very nice name. That was my grandmother's name on my mother's side." Samantha noticed Lennox seemed a bit glum about not being able to be with his family. "Are you alright?"
"Ya, just a little shaken up by everything that's happened lately. I almost got stabbed in the back by one of those giant robots." He left out the part about him screaming like a little girl.
"Here, why don't you take this? It will help calm your nerves." She pulled a vial out from the sleeve of her shirt.
William looked at the vial, "What is this? Some type of sedative?"
She shook her head, "No. And it's not any illegal drug, I promise."
Lennox glanced at the vial in his hand. He didn't feel any sense of danger of foul play from this girl, 'What do I have to lose?' Pulling the cork off, he drank the potion, which made him sit up. "What is this?" That anxiety he felt before was nonexistent, and everything in his world felt perfect.
Samantha took the vial back and laughed a little, "Would you believe me if I said it was a potion?"
William smirked, "Can't say that I would. But whatever it is, I feel a lot better. Is it some kinda herbal medicine?"
"Sorry, it's a family secret." She said while returning the smirk.
William chuckled at Samantha's behavior, "Thanks. I'll keep that in mind." Glancing back at her, he raised an eyebrow, "Did you say you were a Witwicky?" That name sounded very familiar.
Samantha nodded, "I am. Wait a minute⦠Lennox⦠I know I've heard that name somewhere. You wouldn't happen to have a great grandfather named Robert James Lennox, would you?"
William had sirens going off in his head, "Uh~I do. How'd you know?"
Samantha's eyes widened, "Wow! What are the odds? You're great~whatever grandfather was my great grandfather's first mate during their expedition to the Arctic Circle." She recalls Robert Lennox being mentioned in Archibald's journal. They were close friends, despite Robert being a muggle.
William shook his head, "Wait⦠seriously? I guess this is a small world. I don't know much about my family's history, but I do remember my old man telling us stories about that expedition." Though during his teenage years, he was more focused on dating girls left and right.
Things between Samantha and William became very awkward, "Right. I'm⦠sorry my great grandfather killed well⦠you know." It was no secret to her family that when the expedition reached the cavern, Archibald murdered his first mate. It was believed Archibald's killing blow to the head had driven him insane. 'I guess they forgot to mention the giant robot they discovered.'
William shrugged, "I can't go holding that against you or your family. My father probably wouldn't agree, but he's an ass."
"I can't say my family is much better. I mean, they're loving once they get to know someone, but they're just cautious of outsiders. It took them forever to warm up to my mother. Now, if there is even mention of someone hurting her, you can expect my family to lash out." That was until the Witwickys saw how much Judy adored magic and embraced it fully, despite being a muggle. As strange as her family was, the Witwicky's cared for anyone who appreciated and respected magic. Samantha looked out the window of the car and frowned in confusion, "Why are we at Hoover Dam?"
When everyone got out, they looked around. Mikaela leaned over to look into the lower part of the dam, "What were you and that guy over there talking about?" She'd barely woken up from her nap when she heard Samantha talking to him.
Samantha shrugged, "Nothing. His name is William, by the way. We were just getting acquainted."
Mikaela and Samantha jumped when the blond girl Maggie stood next to them, "I should probably introduce myself. I'm Maggie. I never told you on the helicopter."
"I'm Mikaela," She said with a smile, "This is Samantha. Who's your friend over there?" She was looking at the overly excited guy wearing a red shirt with the number 26 on it.
Maggie looked back, "That's Glen. I kinda wanted to get away from him for a bit, he's a good friend, but he's working on my nerves." He would not stop talking during their car ride. She was still irritated with him about the whole doughnut incident and how he immediately caved and threw the blame on her.
Samantha offered her hand, "It's nice to meet you. Do you know why we're here?" Maggie shrugged. As the group was escorted into the dam, the clouds rolled over and blocked the sun. A black trail of smoke could be seen flying over the dam before disappearing.
(Timeskip)
"Alright, here's the situation." Simmons began, "You've all had direct contact with the N.B.E.s."
Epps tilted his head, "N.B.E.s" Behind him were Lennox and a few other soldiers who'd been caught up with the Decepticon in the Desert.
Simmons looked over his shoulder, "Non-Biological Extraterrestrials, try and keep up with the acronyms."
Samantha rolled her eyes, 'He's almost as bad as the people who thought of the names from the WOMBAT or OWLS.' Heading deep into the dam, Samantha and the rest of them could see sparks and hear the sound of drills.
"What you are about to see is totally classified." The Director of Sector 7 said as he led them into an open room.
Samantha slowed down a bit as she looked at the giant robot frozen in ice, 'So that's Megatron.' The giant Cybertronian was frozen in several layers of ice. There were liquid nitrogen tanks mounted on the walls around him. Standing just as tall as Optimus, Megatron had a solid grey color with red vents on his stomach. On his back was a giant fusion cannon. In the center of his chest, the Decepticon insignia could be seen proudly for all eyes and optics. As Samantha studied Megatron, her cheeks turned pink. The Decepticon leader had powerful features, 'Optimus never said Megatron was handsome.' Even though he was not human, she couldn't help but admire his robust facial features.
John Keller, the Secretary of Defence, stopped in his tracks, "Dear God," He said in shock. Captain Lennox shared his same expression.
Mikaela leaned over and whispered to Samantha, "If I'm honest, I found your secret to be a bigger shock than this."
As Samantha and the rest of the humans approached Megatron, she couldn't stop staring at the Decepticon frozen in ice. 'How can they do this to him?' Despite all the horror stories the Autobots have told her about Megatron, she felt pity for the Cybertronian. To be cast in ice and forced to undergo whatever cruel experiments Sector 7 had performed on him. 'No one deserves this.'
The Director of Sector 7 led them closer to Megatron, "We think when he made his approach over the North Pole, our gravitational field threw off his telemetry. He crashed in the ice probably a few thousand years ago. We shipped him to this facility in 1934."
Megatron inwardly growled as he heard this human recite this script. Every new human that was introduced to Sector 7 underwent the same grand presentation. 'My telemetry systems were not the cause for my crash, you vile human!' It was something else.
"We call him N.B.E-1." Agent Simmons said as he looked up at the frozen mech.
Megatron was snarling in mind, 'I am Lord Megatron!' He loathed the idiotic name these humans designated him with. 'I fought valiantly for my designation in the Pits of Kaon!' Megatron stopped his snarling when he heard a femme speak up.
"Sir, I don't mean to correct you on everything you know. But that's Lord Megatron." Samantha said as she motioned her hand. Simmons turned around and glared at her, "He's the leader of the Decepticons."
Megatron was shouting in his mind, 'Allas! Someone who speaks my designation with respect!' How this human knew his name was beyond his care. It had been so many years since he'd heard his name spoken. Since he was frozen, he couldn't close his intake valves or control the flow of air passing through him. Just as Megatron calmed down, his processor sparked up when a delicious scent flooded into his nose, 'What is this smell?' In a matter of seconds, Megatron's processor went numb as he felt a heightened sense of euphoria. It has been eons since he'd felt anything. 'I smell your scent, femme.' He'd been around humans long enough to differentiate their scents from cybertronians. He could personally name every human here just based on their scent.
"You're great great grandfather," The Director began, "Made one of the greatest discoveries in the history of mankind."
Samantha smiled a bit, 'I think Archibald's greatest discovery was when he found the veil.' It was an archway leading into the afterlife. It now lies in a large room in England and is studied by her grandfather Edmund. 'Grandpa was so terrified when he saw me playing near the archway.'
(Flashback)
Samantha stood in front of a large archway as an ominous wave of light flowed through the center of it. Being only seven, she'd gotten lost and stumbled into this empty room. "Hello?" Samantha leaned close to the arch as she heard whispers. It felt as though someone was standing right in front of her, but the other end of the arch was empty. Listening to the comforting whispers, she giggled, "I'm Samantha." These whispers grew louder from behind the blanket of light, "I'm visiting⦠What? I'm seven." She lifted seven fingers, not knowing if he could see her. "Who are you?"
Samantha leaned closer to the vein. Her ear was nearing the threshold, "I like that name. Do you wanna play with me?" The whispering stopped briefly, "Hm?" She was confused by the questions being asked to her, "I'm a human, that's what Daddy says. Mhm⦠I'm a witch. D~Daddy said I'm not supposed to tell anyone. You won't tell anyone, right?" Listening to the comforting whispers, Samantha was jumping with excitement, "I like magic. It makes me feel so happy. Magic⦠don't you know what that is?" She lifted her hand to the veil and lightly touched the strange mist. She gasped as her hand went cold, "Grandpa showed me how to channel my magic. Do you want to feel it? Hehehe~It makes me happy."
From beyond the translucent wave, a metallic hand pressed against hers. It was vastly larger than hers. Samantha giggled as she forced her magic into the ghostly hand. The metallic hand was trembling as she released her magic. When she pulled away, the metallic hand had attempted to reach for her but could not reach across the veil. The whispering grew louder, and Samantha was nervous. "I should go. Grandpa said I can't play here." There was shouting across the veil, and Samantha was blushing as the voice said wonderful things about her magic. He sounded desperate to feel her magic. "Thank you, Mister, Huh~" She focused on the soothing whispers, "I'm sorry you're so lonely. When I'm lonely, my Mommy hugs me, and I feel safe. Do you want a hug?" Samantha giggled and opened her arms as she walked towards the veil to hug her new friend.
"Samantha, No!" Edmund shouted as he ran towards the small child and stopped her from crossing the veil. "I told you to never play in here!" He pulled her far away from the veil, "Bloody hell, you are going to give me a heart attack one day, child. Come now, this is not a toy to play with."
Samantha looked sad, "Awww~Do I have to? But I want to give him a hug. He said he's lonely." She pointed to the veil.
Edmund kneeled down, "Sweetie, there is nobody there. Come now before your father finds out." If Ron ever found out Samantha almost stepped through the veil, not even magic would be able to stop him from strangling Edmund.
Samantha wined, "Fine." She was upset as Edmund pulled her away from the veil. Looking back, she waved her tiny hand, "Bye, Primus." At least she got to show her new friend what magic was. Edmund was bickering to himself and cursing like a sailor, so he hadn't heard her. He was still terrified of Samantha's parents finding out he fell asleep and lost sight of her. "Grandpa, can I go back?"
Edmund shook his head, "Absolutely not, young lady."
Samantha gave him a hurt look, "Okay..." An idea popped into her young mind, and she giggled.
(A few hours later)
Samantha giggled as she sat in front of the veil. She'd asked her grandfather to tell her about his hatred for his great aunt, and the old man fell asleep in the middle of his rant. Listening to the calming voice from beyond the veil, she has been speaking to Primus for a few hours now and never wanted it to end. "Grandpa says I can't cross the vein." The voice had been begging her to step through so he could receive her hug. Samantha tapped her fingers together and blushed at all the wonderful things Primus offered her. Her own planet, a million puppies, anything her heart desired. "No, thank you, I don't want that. I just wanna talk with you. Hehe~You're funny." He kept offering her things she didn't desire.
She listened to her friend's comforting voice, "Maybe when I'm older, we can be together forever." Samantha said innocently. He'd told her how long he's been alone, and it made her upset, "I'm sorry you're lonely. I promise when I'm older, I'll never leave you. We can be best friends forever." She jumped up and smiled at the empty archway. She didn't have any friends her age, and Trent, the boy down the street, was constantly being mean to her. "I'll give as many hugs as you want." Being extra cautious, she raised her tiny hand and touched the veil. In a matter of milliseconds, her friend's metallic hand pressed against hers. Giving a little smile, she channeled her magic into the ghostly hand. "Hehe~your hand is big."
Samantha's eyes briefly turned blue as waves of energy crashed over her body. "What?" Primus was asking questions about her friends or mainly lack thereof, "No. Trent told everyone I have lice. I⦠I don't have lice! Now nobody wants to play with me." The room shook, and cracks appeared on the archway. "I'm fine. Besides, I have you now!" The little girl was jumping with delight. She now had a friend, and he was very polite. He kept saying lovely things about her, especially her magic. Leaning close to the veil, Samantha listened to the strange whispers of her friend. "Mhm! I promise I'll never leave you." She covered her mouth and giggled as Primus kept offering things she didn't want or need. It sounded as though he believed these things mattered in making her stay with him.
"No, thank you," She said cutely with red cheeks, "Can you really do all that stuff?" He was offering things she couldn't comprehend. "No, I just wanna friend. You'll be my friend forever, won't you?" She wanted to know his answer. The whispers grew louder, and Samanth held her cheeks as she continued to blush.
(End of Flashback)
Samantha shook her head as she came back to reality. 'Why am I thinking about that right now?' She didn't know if she'd imagined it or if it were a dream, but she'd never forgotten that strange encounter. The next time she visited, she'd been in tears because she couldn't see him. Edmund had closed off the room, so Samantha couldn't enter and talk to her friend. The following Christmas, she'd hardly spoken or eaten because she was so upset. She was so excited to talk with her mysterious friend.
Samantha jumped when she heard Simmons speak up, "The fact is you're looking at the source of the modern age. Microchips, lasers, space flights, cars, all reverse-engineered by studying him. N.B.E-1, that's what we call it."
Megatron would growl if he weren't frozen, 'I will rip this human's flesh from his body and feed it to him.'
Samantha glared at Agent Simmons as he got in her face, "His name is Megatron." A possessive growl started to erupt from Megatron's frozen vocal processor. He was grateful to any being who honored his designation and defended him. "Also, you shouldn't be keeping him frozen."
Agent Simmons laughed, "Why is that? What do you know about this thing? Oh, right, nothing."
"He's still a living being. Nobody deserves to be your little science experiment because you're scared of what he might do." She whispered aggressively at Simmons.
Megatron could hear the femme advocating his freedom from this icy prison, and he was shouting in his mind, 'Release me!' In all the time he's been here, he never thought the day would come that a human would call for his release. This femme was obviously a gift sent by Primus himself to rescue him.
"You think the United States government might need to know you're keeping a hostile alien robot here in the basement." John Keller asked as he pointed up to Megatron.
Samantha crossed her arms and went to lean against the wall, "Hostile alien, my ass. They don't even know you. Hell, I don't even know you, but I'm not going to label you as hostile." She muttered to herself. Megatron shifted slightly, and the ice started to crack. He wanted to know who this femme was and leave with her. Judging by the way Simmons was speaking to her, she was not her on her own accord.
Lennox looked up at Megatron and could feel the cold air coming from the warlord, "So, why Earth?" He asked. Mikaela looked at Samantha, signaling for her to explain.
"They're here for the Allspark," Samantha said.
"Allspark? What is that?" Director Keller asked.
"They came here looking from some sort of cube-looking thing. Anyways, Mister N.B.E-1β¦ or Megatron," She said while glaring at Simmons, "Is what you should address him as such. Is after the cube to revitalize their planet."
Mikaela looked confused as she spoke up, "I thought Megatron wanted to use the cube to transform human technology to take over the universe or something like that."
Samantha rolled her eyes, 'Mikaela, why would you say that?' This would only further Simmons' belief to keep Megatron frozen, "That's what the Autobots said, and I don't believe it."
Megatron's fingers shook as the ice cracked even more, 'Those vile Autobots dare accuse me of this!? To misuse the Allspark?' His spark was burning up as his rage exploded like a dying star. 'They were the ones who launched the Allspark into space and left our planet in ruins. It was their fault our planet is a wasteland. I was the High Protector of the Allspark!' To hear that this human didn't fall victim to the Autobots' false lies only furthered his belief that she was his savior from this frozen hell. He did not judge someone based upon their size or species. Any cybertronian who does is a fool. A mech or femme should never underestimate their opponent.
"You sure about that?" Agent Simmons asked.
"Yes," Samantha said. She noticed the look on Simmons' face and smirked, "You know where it is, don't you?"
The Director of Sector 7 motioned his head, "Follow me."
As the group followed the Director, Samantha looked up at Megatron and saw a hint of light coming from his optics. Megatron's optics were barely able to operate as he attempted to run them. 'I know this human,' Megatron could see Samantha. He'd performed his own research on the Witwicky family, as limited as it was, but he never forgets a face. The laptop connected to his head had never been disconnected.
Samantha bit her lip and looked at Megatron before stealthily sliding her wand out, "Diffindo," She whispered the spell and made a cyclone motion with her wand. She gave Megatron a little wave and a smile as she walked away⦠she knew he was looking at her. 'I trust Soundwave. I don't think Megatron is as evil as the Autobots think. At least, I hope.' But she couldn't spend the rest of her life knowing this opportunity would pass. Nobody deserves such a fate.
Megatron heard a strange sound come from the stick in the human's hand. The ice around his joints and servos broke, and his core body temperature started rising. Megatron was able to let loose a single exhaust of cold air from his mouth. He was angry as the spark-numbing scent of this femme had faded as she walked away. 'I will make certain it is known what you have done for the Decepticon cause, femme.' He wiggled his fingers and slowly started breaking more of the ice.
(Meanwhile)
Heading into an office, Samantha was shocked to see the gargantuan cube located under the Dam, "T~the Autobots never said the Allspark was that big."
Maggie looked at Agent Simmons, "You said the Dam masks its energy signature. Why kind of energy?"
"Good question," The Director of Sector 7 led them into an adjacent room where they were locked inside. When Samantha left to join the others, she didn't notice the blue waves of energy travel across the Allspark. The agents near the cube were used to seeing waves of energy like this. From one of the outlets, a blue bolt of electricity longingly attempted to touch her. Samantha shivered as her magic bubbled inside of her. Her heart jolted, and her legs went numb.
Heading into the next room, they listened to Glen as he talked about the scratches on the wall, "Naw, man, those are three claw marks that's wolverine."
Simmons cleared his throat, "Anyone have any mechanical devices? Blueberry, blackberry, key alarm, cell phone?"
Glenn pulled out his phone, "I've got a phone," He tossed it to Simmons.
Opening the box, Simmons opened the phone, "Oooh! Nokia's are real nasty. You've gotta respect the Japanese."
Samantha looked at Mikaela, "I'm a witch, and even I know a Nokia is from Finland." On the other side of the box, she could hear Maggie make the same remark. The arm inside the chamber extended down and zapped the cellphone. The phone trembled before transforming into a tiny cybertronian. The creature looked around and backed itself into a corner as it started shooting at the strange beings around it. It jumped around the box and attempted to break the glass.
Maggie gasped, "That thing is freaky!" Lennox and Epps both were staring at the creature in shock.
Simmons sighed, "Uh~It's breaking the box." He lifted a small switch, but Samantha slapped it out of his hand.
"What the hell are you doing?!"
"Young lady, do you need to be detained!?" Simmons shouted. Everyone was looking at them. "Where's the kill switch?"
Samantha looked horrified, "You can't kill it! It's sparkling. They're essentially babies for their kind."
Simmons frowned, "Do you see that thing? That's no baby. And it will hurt you the first chance it gets."
"He's scared of us, Moron! How would you feel if you woke up to existence and found yourself locked in a box with strange people staring at you?" Walking back towards the box, she opened the hatch, despite everyone's protest. Simmons already had his gun trained on Samantha.
"Whoa~whoa! This is a breach. Close that hatch." Simmons demanded.
Samantha glared at everyone, "Everyone just shut up! You're scaring him." The small cybertronian was back into the corner of the box, trembling in fear. Cautiously reaching into the box, she presented her hand, "I'm not gonna hurt you. C'mere, little guy." The little cybertronian was extraordinarily cautious as it pecked Samantha's hand. It looked similar to a bird. Lifting her hand, she cautiously used her middle finger to trace the little stubs along his back. The sparkling trembled as this gracious being rubbed his back. "Come on, it's safe."
After coaxing the sparkling into her hand, she smiled, "Hi there. See, I'm not going to hurt you. My what lovely wings you have."
Simmons slowly lowered his weapon, "What the hell?" Every time they attempted something like this, they were shot at or wounded.
Samantha glared at Simmons and the Director of Sector 7, "He came to me because I'm not shouting or zapping him the first chance I have."
The Director of Sector 7 cleared his throat, "You realize you can't leave with him. A matter of national security."
Keeping the sparkling close to her chest, she frowned at them, "And leave him in the hands of you monsters? You'll have to rip him from my cold dead hands." She tried to not dwell on how many sparkling had likely died in this room.
It was Captain Lennox and Epps who stood in front of Samantha, keeping her safe from Simmon's gun, "Hey, back off, alright? If it wanted to harm her, it would've done so already. I'm no alien expert but look at this thing. It's obviously a baby." When Samantha pointed out it was scared, he'd felt pity for the tiny creature.
Before things could get out of hand, there was a quake that shook the entire room. Keller looked up, "Gentlemen, they know the cube is here." Samantha and Mikaela looked at one another. It couldn't be the Autobots. They knew Optimus wouldn't attack humans.
Outside, Starscream transformed and landed on a bridge, "Soundwave, where is the human as you promised us?" Driving across the Dam, Soundwave, Shockwave, and Barricade transformed as they traced Samantha's phone to this location. The concrete was so thick that even Shockwave couldn't detect the Allspark or Megatron beneath this Dam. Humans were running away in terror as they saw the giant machines.
Barricade took a step forward and crushed a woman's car, "Scrap." That was a complete accident.
Soundwave pressed a button on his chest plate, "Rumble, Frenzy: Eject!" The two mini-cassettes transformed and landed near his legs. "Locate human femme. Minimize interaction with humans." His sparklings did him proud as they ran towards the pillar and entered through the elevator.
Shockwave sighed, "Must these humans scream so incessantly? Seeker, make yourself useful and cause a diversion."
Starscream glared at Shockwave, "I am Starscream! You answer to me, Shockwave, do not forget your place." Starscream had a red and yellow coat of paint. He tended to stick out in his alt form because of his colors, but that mattered little to him. No human jet, let alone cybertronian, could match his speed.
Barricade grumbled as he listened to Starscream argue with Shockwave, "What in the name of the Allspark is that?" He pointed towards a black entity flying towards the dam. The Decepticons looked and braced themselves against the dam as a red bolt of light shot out, hitting the center of the dam's wall. There was an enormous crack slowly spreading across the dam as the black entity flew into a spillway.
Inside the Dam, the Director of Sector 7 was fiddling with a monitor, "What is going on down there?" On the screen, they could see a man shouting as several green lights shot from behind him.
"He's here! He's alive, sir, I~ugh!" A green bolt of light hit the man, and he fell out of frame.
Samantha went pale as she recognized that familiar gleam of magical light. 'That⦠that was the killing curse.' In a matter of seconds, everyone in the room had left and were running through Hoover Dam. "Where are we going?!"
"Weapons room!" The director shouted as he ran past the turbines. "Go, get out. Get everyone to the N.B.E 1 chamber, now!" He called to the employees above. Meanwhile, Rumble and Frenzy were crawling through the ventilation system. They could smell Samantha from somewhere in this dam, and it made them happy.
Inside the N.B.E.1 chamber, Megatron continued to break through the ice, and he could hear the human technicians panicking as his cryo systems shut down. After years in stasis, he broke free from the ice and was shouting, "I am Megatron!" The humans were screaming as they attempted to freeze him. Grabbing the mechanical arms, Megatron crushed them and threw them across the room. Coolant tubes that were connected to his back broke off as he stepped forward. Kneeling down, he snatched one of the humans and sneered at the creature, "You dare call me a toaster, you vile fleshling? If you value your pathetic life, you'll tell me where the Allspark is? NOW!"
The human shouted in fear. He had called Megatron a toaster for years, and now he finally was beginning to regret it, "D~down there! Th~through the service tunnel!"
Megatron looked at the service tunnel and frowned. The tunnel was far too small for a mech like him to enter. "And the femme, where is she?"
"Wh~who!?" He shouted in panic. The man gasped as Megatron lightly crushed him.
"Where is the one they call Samantha Witwicky?!" He demanded with a sneer. It was because of her he was freed, and now he was indebted to her. Megatron loathed being indebted to anyone.
"I~I don't know! Please don't kill me!"
Megatron sneered at the Earthling and tossed him onto a scissor lift, "Be grateful I don't want your disgusting insides on me." Looking at the humans on the ground, he gave a monstrous roar, and the humans were running in terror. Transforming into a jet, Megatron flew down the false spillway and landed outside the Dam.
Starscream landed a few feet away; clearly, he was horrified, "L~lord Megatron, you're alive!?"
Megatron sneered at Starscream, "Do not mistake my absence as an excuse to seize control of the Decepticons, Starscream."
Shockwave jumped from the top of the dam and slid down before landing, "My Lord, It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance again."
Megatron ignored Shockwave, "The Allspark is here." Transforming his arm, he shot at the helicopter that came over the mountain. He did not take pride in killing a lesser race, but nothing would stop him from getting the All Spark.
(Meanwhile)
Inside the weapons room, the humans could hear the carnage from outside. Everyone could hear a muffled scream. Little did they know it was Megatron slamming Starscream's head into the side of the dam. The Warlord was furious Starscream did nothing to find him and allowed him to undergo years of experimentation by the humans.
"What the hell was that?" Simmons said as he looked around.
Samantha got in front of Simmons and tried to find reason with the man, "You need to take me to my friends."
Simmons shook his head as he loaded his gun, "Your car? It's confiscated."
"He's not my car. He's my friend! Now un-confiscate them." Samantha was trembling as she wanted to claw his eyes out. While she did technically get Bumblebee as a gift, she did not see him as her car. He was a sentient being. She didn't own him.
Lennox came forward and placed his gun on Simmon's chest, "Take her to her car."
"Friend," She corrected him. Around the room, the other soldiers quickly overpowered the Sector 7 agents.
Simmons was insistent, "We don't know what will happen if we let those things go. Now stand down, soldier! I'm Sector 7."
"Sector 7 doesn't exist, remember?" He cocked his gun.
"I'm gonna count to three~"
Lennox frowned, "Well, I'm gonna count to two."
Samantha was about to speak until she saw a screw fall past her face. Looking up, Simmons and Lennox both were also looking at the air vent above their head. They could hear voices coming from inside the vent. Another screw fell down, and Samantha gasped as two robots fell on top of her. The witch gasped as she was crushed by Rumble and Frenzy. "Rumble, Frenzy?!" She shouted in shock as the two Decepticons smiled at her.
"Whoa!" All the guns were pointed at the two Decepticons.
Samantha got up and quickly forced the two cassettes behind her, "It's fine! They're friendly! Don't shoot!" Meanwhile, Rumble and Frenzy were transforming their arms into guns. Meanwhile, the newborn cybertronian was peeking its head out of her pocket.
Simmons groaned, "Good, god, there's more of them!?" Lennox still had his gun fixed on his chest.
Mikaela gave Samantha a concerned look, "We know them?" She's never seen these two bots before.
"They're not going to hurt anyone. Rumble, Frenzy, put those away!" She looked at the Decepticons and frowned as they kept their guns pointed at the humans. The two cassettes clearly look conflicted. Soundwave said to find and protect her. They trembled as her glare turned sour, "Put them away." She said firmly. The Decepticons cowered under her firm glare⦠they didn't want her to be mad at them. Rumble and Frenzy put their guns away as they stayed behind Samantha. Without their weapons, they needed protection.
The Director cleared his throat as one of the soldiers had a gun pointed to his head, "Your car is this way." Simmons was frowning as his boss folded. Everyone was slow to move, primarily because of the two Decepticons, but Samantha was keeping a firm eye on them. Epps came over and helped Samantha with keeping the two bots obscured from the Sector 7 agents.
Epps chuckled as they were led towards Bumblebee and Prowl as he watched Samantha hold Rumble and Frenzy's hand. "You're one strange girl, you know that?"
Samantha sighed as she kept Rumble and Frenzy close, "Tell me about it." If they were here, then there was no doubt in her mind that Soundwave was close by. 'I hope he understands why I couldn't give him those glasses⦠Did he follow us?'
Everyone was forced into an elevator at a certain point, and there was an awkward silence as everyone kept looking at the two robots. Simmons was very uncomfortable as Lennox kept his gun pointed towards his head, "Are we really going to let these things follow us!?"
Maggie and Mikaela looked at the tiny robots as they held Samantha's hands. Mikaela shrugged as she spoke, "I don't know. They look pretty cute."
Glen got down and became a complete nerd and stared at the two Decepticons, "Wow!"
Maggie hit Glen over the head, "Glen, stop it."
"Ah! What? I was just looking at them." Maggie covered her face.
Samantha stared forward as everyone in the elevator looked at her. "You know it's rude to stare, people."
The Secretary of Defense looked at the alien robots, "Young Lady, how do you know these things? They're not dangerous, are they?"
"It's a long story." She looked down, "Everyone, this is Rumble, and this is Frenzy."
"You named them?" Simmons asked.
"I didn't name them. They belong to Soundwave."
"Who?"
Samantha threw her head back and groaned. Why was this elevator so slow!? "Everyone, stop asking questions. We have a bigger issue here." Rumble pulled her hand and was signaling something to her, "No, we can't play right now. Maybe later." Everyone was giving her a bizarre look, even Mikaela. "What!?" She snapped as everyone judged her. Mikaela was trying not to laugh.
Eventually, the elevator opened, and they were led towards a large room where Samantha saw Bumblebee and Prowl being electrocuted. The Director was shouting, "Whoa! Stop!"
Prowl was snarling as he broke one of his restraints, "Get off me! Where is my femme!?" None of the humans could understand him as he was speaking cybertronian.
Bumblebee was growling as the humans electrocuted him. When it stopped, he sat up and saw Samantha. The scout had tunnel vision as his spark only had one directive. Swatting a human away, he snatched Samantha up and transformed his arm into a cannon, "Mine! I'll slaughter you all!" He shouted in Cybertronian.
Rumble and Frenzy were shouting for the scout to give them their human back. They couldn't win a fight against an Autobot like Bumblebee, but they weren't leaving without their human. Soundwave promised she'd be theirs!
Prowl shouted profanity as he broke his restraints. Never had Prowl been so enraged that he'd regressed himself to cursing. When he sat up, he caught sight of Samantha in Bumblebee's hand, "Relieve her to me!"
"Whoa! Whoa! Oh my god! Guys, calm down." Samantha started to get nauseous as Bumblebee and Prowl fought over her.
"Sir?!" One of the agents shouted, "What do we do?!" He had his gun pointed at Prowl's head.
The Director waved his hand, "Don't shoot! I repeat, do not shoot!" In addition to not wanting Samantha to be shot at, he wanted to see how this would play out.
"Bumblebee!" Samantha shouted, gaining the scout's attention, "Put. Me. Down!" Her eyes had a golden glow as she became angry with his childish behavior. Bumblebee did as she commanded. Prowl had his cannon fixed at the humans as he sneered⦠he was not afraid to shoot them if they hurt his femme. "Bumblebee, Prowl, you need to listen to me. The Allspark is here." At this point, Samantha did not care who got the Allspark. As painful as it was to think about, they couldn't stay on Earth for this exact reason. She was also concerned for the safety of Rumble and Frenzy⦠as well as the sparkling in her pocket.
Prowl glared at Rumble and Frenzy, "What are they doing here?" He pointed his gun at them. Prowl gasped as his arm shorted out and saw Samantha's furious expression as she muttered a spell under her breath.
With a bit of convincing, they were able to get the Autobots out of the room and took them towards the Allspark. Prowl was having to hold his wounded arm. He was a bit frightened that Samantha could deactivate his arm just by uttering a silly word. As they reached the cube, Bumblebee and Prowl noticed how protective Samantha was of the two cassettes. She obviously did not want anyone touching them. Prowl could tell Samantha would not let him detain Rumble or Frenzy, even though they were Decepticons. The two mini-cons were a liability to be around them as they were faithful only to Soundwave. Though Samantha probably didn't know this, how could she? It's not as though she knew who Soundwave was. The Decepticon would kill anyone who dared come into contact with his sparklings.
Upon reaching the cube, everyone was taken back by the size of it. It was even bigger than when they'd seen it from the window. Samantha tilted her head back and had the strangest feeling coursing through her as she studied the symbols and markings. Bumblebee reached out and started fiddling with the corner. There were bright flashes as blue waves ran across the cube.
Epps stood back, "Okay, here we go. He's doin' somethin'."
The humans watched as the Allspark folded in on itself and became much smaller. Bumblebee winced as the cubed shocked him. "Agh! Scrap! Grr!" He was tossing the cube in his hands as it continued to shock him because of its raw energy. "We need to get this out of here."
Lennox spoke up, "He's right. If we stay here, we're screwed with Megatron in the other hanger. Mission City is 22 miles away. We're gonna take the cube and hide it somewhere in the city. But we cannot make a stand without the airforce."
Samantha and Mikaela covered their faces as they listened to Lennox's plan. Samantha cleared her throat, "Hello, the cube has an energy signature. They'll find it either way." Nobody was listening to her besides Mikaela, Maggie, and Glen.
The three women listened as everyone started to mobilize, but they stood their equality irritated. MAggie turned to Samantha, "Hiding it in the city is the worst idea. They'll cause a panic." And as Samantha herself mentioned, the cube had an energy signature.
Mikaela turned to Bumblebee and Prowl, "Are you guys really going to allow this? The Decepticons are going to know where that Rubix cube is the minute we step out of her."
Prowl sighed, "I'm afraid we have little choice. With Megatron near, we must move the Allspark as far away as possible."
Samantha looked at Prowl and saw his red optic. The visor that covered his face was partly destroyed, and he was covered in energon. She motioned her head to Agent Simmons and Keller as they discussed an old CB radio. "Maggie, can you go try and talk some sense into them?"
"They won't listen to me."
Samantha leaned close, "I can't take Rumble and Frenzy with me. Can you please make sure they get out of this dam while we move the cube?" She knew Prowl and Bumblebee wouldn't let her take the two minicons. There was immediate protest from Rumble and Frenzy as they didn't want to leave her.
"What?" Maggie looked at the two minicons, "I don't know how to take care of them."
Samantha looked down at the Decepticons, "Rumble, Frenzy, I'm going to need you to go with Maggie and Glen here." They were protesting in cybertronian. While she couldn't understand them, Samantha could assume they weren't happy. Leaning down, she pulled the minicons close and whispered into their audio receptors, "If you go with Maggie and keep an eye on her. I promise we can have playtime." The two adorable Decepticons looked at one another before grabbing Maggie's hands and dragging her off with Agent Simmons. "Make sure they get out of here!" She shouted to the blond girl.
"Sam! Get in the car!" Lennox shouted as he formulated a plan with the other muggles.
Samantha grudgingly got into Bumblebee as he transformed. In the driver's seat was the Allspark. As she reached down and grabbed the cube, she gasped as it shocked her. A wave of energy washed over her spine. The Allspark trembled as it felt this human's touch. When she reached down again, she felt static on the tips of her fingers as she lifted the cube and placed it in her lap. Bumblebee shifted into gear and started speeding out of the dam. "I still think this is a horrible plan." She said as they drove down the desert stretch. Samantha shivered as the Allspark continued to tremble in her hands. She was so focused on their current situation she'd failed to see the blue electricity jumping over her hand. Samantha shivered as the heat built up between her legs.
A jolt of energy shot up Samantha's arm as strange symbols crossed her eyes. "What was that?"
Mikaela looked around, "What was what? Do you see a Decepticon?"
Samantha looked around and blinked. The symbols were running across her eyes, and her magic was churning, "Nevermind, I think I'm just losing my mind." She tilted the cube in her lap and looked it over. When she pulled her hand away, the Allspark quickly latched itself to her hand, which caused her to jump. 'What now!?' As they drove down the road, Samantha slid her new wand out. With the almost bone-like wand, she lightly grazed the Allspark. Sparks were jumping between the Allspark and her wand, which was trembling under her grip. It felt as if the two mystical objects were studying one another. When the Allspark attempted to touch the white wand, it, of its own accord, shot a defensive pulse of magic at the side of the cube. Samantha gasped and turned the cube, 'Shit!' There was a large crack on the side of the Allspark. 'Shit, shit, shit! They're gonna kill me!'
"Samantha, are you okay?" Mikaela asked as she saw the worried look on her face.
Samantha glanced at Mikaela as she placed her wand on top of the Allspark, "What!? Of course, I'm fine. Yep! Totally fine!" She wasn't fooling Mikaela or Bumblebee.
Bumblebee spoke up, "You sure, sweet spark? You seem pretty nervous." He took it for her fear of their situation.
Samantha was waving her fingers at the damaged side of the cube, attempting to use her magic to fix it, 'C'mon, please work.' The Allspark had blue static rushing through the crack, and it was greedily gobbling up this mystical force. Having a consciousness of its own, the Allspark had analyzed this human's mind⦠or it attempted to before the wand sitting above it damaged it. Her wand was very protective of its master. It had been decades since it had fallen into the hands of a Peverell. The Elder wand has returned to its proper blood lineage and refused to be stolen or separated again. It still laments for Antioch.
Samantha was shivering as sparks danced across her hand, and the symbols consumed her sight. They weren't ancient runes. Leaning over, she traced her fingers across the gap in the cube, 'Optimus is going to have a fit.' Seeing a bit of twisted metal, she plucked out a tiny shard. Attempting to flick it away, the fragment was stuck to her skin like a magnet. 'C'mon, get off.' Using her other hand, she pulled the shard off before it became attached to her other hand. There was a jolt of energy from the Allspark that caused her to tremble. The cube was purring in her lap and desperately trying to please this human to never let it go. Though there was a greater entity that reached through the cube.
'ππ¦π«π’!' A mighty voice echoed through Samantha's head that made her jump. The voice was as loud as thunder.
"What?" She looked around, wondering where the voice came from.
Mikaela looked at her, "What? Sam, do you need some air or something. You're acting kinda strange. Well.. stranger than usual." She said with a smirk. The mechanic was trying to mask her fear about their current situation. Bumblebee was listing to the left as his sensors were drowned by Samantha's scent. All his spark could think of was merging with her. Were she cybertronian, he would interface with her until her processor shattered from overloading.
The voice spoke again, causing Samantha to tremble, 'ππΆ ππ’π©π¬π³π’π‘ π₯π²πͺππ«, π₯π¬π΄ β π₯ππ³π’ π©π¬π«π€π’π‘ π±π¬ πͺπ’π’π± ππ€ππ¦π«. ππ¬π―π―πΆ π«π¬π± πΆπ¬π²π― π°πππ―π¨, π΄π’ π΄π¦π©π© ππ’ π±π¬π€π’π±π₯π’π― π£π¬π― π’π±π’π―π«π¦π±πΆ.' Samantha's jaw locked up as she understood the powerful voice speaking in her mind. He was speaking a language she'd never heard. 'ππΆ π°πππ―π¨ ππ’π©π¬π«π€π° π±π¬ πΆπ¬π². ππ²π― π°πππ―π¨π° ππ’π©π¬π«π€ π±π¬ πΆπ¬π².' Samantha's sight was consumed with symbols, and energy was entered into her arm. A part of Samantha knew she had heard this voice before, but everything was foggy. Optimus, Ironhide, Prowlβ¦ each of the Autobots consumed her thoughts, and thinking about them made her smile. A vision of Megatron flashed across her mind causing her to blush. The Cybertronian was very handsome.
(Hoover Dam)
"My Lord, the Allspark is moving," Shockwave said as he detected the Allspark's energy signature. How had they not noticed it as soon as it left the dam?
Megatron was still in the middle of shouting at Starscream, "Where is it!?" He would have to return for the human femme later. He would be a monster to abandon his savior. A jolt of energy shot across Megatron's frame as he clenched his denture. Why was his spike throbbing? The warlord sneered. His processor had suffered more damage than he had assumed. He was grateful the human released him, but he still thought they were disgusting. "Decepticons! Find the Allspark! Do not fail me again!" Starscream was quick to transform and follow the signal.
Just before the other Decepticons could move, the dam cracked again. Looking up, they watched as the crack in the center of the dam started to spread unnaturally. None of them were prepared for the dam's wall to collapse or the water to rush down towards them.
After nearly 15 minutes of driving, Samantha sat up as she saw a familiar Semi-truck, "There's Optimus." Mikaela was in the seat next to her, and they both looked as they drove past the Autobots. Williams' group had split off from theirs and went ahead to prepare a zone somewhere in the city. They were trusting Samantha and Mikaela to meet them there.
Optimus's voice came from Bumblebee's radio, "Bumblebee, Prowl, do you have the Allspark?"
Mikaela frowned, "Ya~I'm fine too, thanks for asking. Yes, we have your Rubix cube."
Samantha pinched the bridge of her nose, 'Really, Mikaela?'
"I apologize, Mikaela. Are you and Samantha well?"
Mikaela covered Samantha's mouth and lifted a finger, signaling for her not to speak, "No, it's just me." Mikaela responded to the radio. Bumblebee and Prowl were confused. What was she talking about? Samantha was right next to her. Bumblebee's windows were tinted to a degree that not even Optimus could see inside.
Optimus was startled by what Mikaela said, "Where is Samantha?"
Ironhide started shouting through the comm-link, "Did you leave her behind, you frag heads!?"
Mikaela forced herself onto Samantha and covered the witch's mouth, "She's dead." There was a deafening crash as Optimus, and the rest of the bots slammed on their breaks. Bumblebee and Prowl were forced to stop.
Samantha was shouting behind Mikaela's hand, 'What the hell!?'
Sunstreaker's voice nearly broke Bumblebee's radio, "She's what!?"
Mikaela struggled to keep Samantha in her seat, and Bumblebee was hitting her with his chair. "She's dead. Those guys that took us~grr," She winced as Samantha bit her hand, "Decided to do a little bit of experimenting on her." Bumblebee kept hitting her with his seat. Why couldn't they see she was doing Samantha a favor?
Prowl spoke through the comm-link, "She is not offline. Samantha is with Bumblebee."
Mikaela quickly countered Prowl's response, "Prowl, you don't need to lie, alright? She's gone. They were gonna find out sooner or later. Can we just focus on getting this stupid cube out of here?"
Ratchet was shouting in despair, "I knew we shouldn't have left her with those humans, Optimus!"
Jazz was shouting profane words. He wanted to kill the humans that took Samantha away. Ironhide was snarling as flame shot out of his smokestacks. As for the twins, they were reticent. Optimus, however, was fairing the worse as his spark became consumed with guilt. 'She is offline?' The Prime felt an acidic rage consume his spark, and his optics turned a deep purple color. "Where is Samantha!?" He demanded as his processor had a new target. He'd completely forgotten the Allspark.
Wanting to see how far she could take this, Mikaela sighed, "Split open on an operating table. Are you happy?" Samantha was shouting for Mikaela to stop. This wasn't funny.
The Autobots transformed and were demanding answers. Optimus transformed and grabbed Prowl by his neck. His optics were purple. "Who killed her?" Optimus was against such concepts of torture, but he wanted to find the humans that experimented on her and make them suffer.
Bumblebee's door opened, and Samantha fell to the ground with Mikaela. The Allspark made a loud clanking sound as it fell with them. "Damn it, Mikaela! Will you stop that! This is not the time for jokes." Samantha stood up and dusted herself off. "I'm not dead! Mikaela was just covering my mouth. Why would you think that is funny!?" Samantha was snatched up by Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.
"Thank, Primus!" Sideswipe shouted in relief.
Sunsteaker was snarling at Mikaela, who wasn't the least bit afraid. "Do you think that's funny, human!? Do you have any idea how scared I was?!" Having come to terms with his sickening feelings for Samantha, he was horrified to think he'd lost her in such an instant. Optimus grabbed Sideswipe's wrist and crushed it as he snatched Samantha and kept her close to his spark. He reached towards the ground and took the Allspark as well.
"Enough!" The Prime shouted. His spark was overwhelmed with emotion. He was horrified to think Samantha was dead somewhere on an operating table like one of Shockwave's experiments. "Samantha and the Allspark will remain with me."
Jazz snarled, "Did you forget what happened last time we left her with you?"
"Do not forget your function, Jazz." Optimus sneered as steam shot out of his nose. The voice in the back of his processor shouted for him to slaughter Jazz for that comment. Letting Samantha get taken was a mistake he'd never make again. This femme was his forever. He would offline every mech here if it meant keeping her with him. Optimus couldn't go back to that state of loneliness. Samantha comforted his spark in ways he never could have imagined. His spark wanted to greedily consume her magic for the rest of his days. She would spend eternity inside his spark chamber as he shielded her from this cruel world. Samantha would know precisely what it felt like to be worshipped by a Prime.
Samantha gasped as Optimus transformed and she was strapped into his seat. "Ugh," She held her head, "I don't think I'll ever get used to that." The Allspark was resting in her lap as the Autobots continued their way down the road to Mission City. Though his original plan was simply to leave with his femme and take her someplace secluded. Samantha looked around Optimus's interior, "It's nice to see you too." She said comedically. "I'm sorry about Mikaela's little prank back there, but at least we've got the Allspark. We're heading to Mission City in an attempt to hide the cube. I think it's a terrible plan, but apparently, Megatron is on our trail." Optimus said nothing as he drove down the road. Samantha didn't want to mention it was her fault for releasing Megatron, but it was an action she did not regret. 'I hope I made the right choice.'
Out of the blue, Optimus spoke, "I am grateful you are not offline. Please forgive me." The situation with the Allspark wasn't as critical as it should be.
"Forgive you? What do I need to forgive you for?" Optimus's spark burned. He would never forgive himself.
"I allowed you to be captured. I should have intervened when I had the opportunity."
Samantha ran her fingers along Optimus's seat, "I'm not angry. I know why you didn't intervene. You would have been forced to hurt people if it meant saving me."
"Nevertheless, it is not a mistake I shall make again."
She continued to rub his seat as it became hotter, "You can't protect me forever. While I appreciate the kind words. Please don't make promises you can't keep. After you leave Earth, we'll never see each other again." She'd accepted this reality. Samantha bit her lip as a wave of energy started flowing alongside her magic. She crossed her legs as a pool of lust built up as she desired this enormous mech. Having seen his holoform, she wanted to know what his metallic lips would feel like against hers.
Optimus growled at her words⦠he refused to leave without Samantha.

(Author Notes)
I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter. Goodness, a lot of events unfold here! I thought it was absolutely adorable that Rumble and Frenzy crawled their way through the vents to find their favorite femme. Soundwave would be so proud of them! Not to mention, she promised they'd have playtime. What!? They're still sparklings! Just because they have to fight in a war or are an advanced alien species doesn't mean they don't like to have fun. Just look at Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. They're full-grown Cybertronains but act like sparklings. No doubt some of you were surprised by Samantha's 'friend.' Poor Primus, I can only imagine how lonely our Cybertronian god might feel.
It also seems the Elder wand is set on keeping its master safe. It was a simple blast of magic from the Elder wand, and now the Allspark has a jagged crack on it οΌ*γγΌγ*οΌAs we can see, the Elder wand and its loyalties clearly lie beyond someone accepting death, or something like that. The wand was created for Antiochβ¦ it belongs to him! It doesn't appreciate this alien artifact touching its master. And now we have Archibald returning. I can only imagine what chaos will happen. Lastly, it seems Samantha has an adorable Cybertronian sparkling with her.
"Guess that Cybertronian!" \(οΏ£οΈΆοΏ£*\)) Some of you might already know who it is. Also, in case anyone is wondering. Megatron looks different compared to his film vision. If you need a visual, I have provided a link below to what he looks like. Megatron, in this story, looks like his IDW self. I attempted to describe him as best as I could.
Despite Samantha liking the Autobots, I can also see Sam's character as someone who would want to remain neutral. Especially if the Decepticons weren't as evil as the Autobots portrayed them. She is to the point where she cannot trust either side and, in her opinion, both sides are in the wrong.
