KYOKA POV

"Alright everyone we are officially done with the written part of the final. That means tomorrow will be the practical portion."

Mr. Aizawa was standing in front of the class giving us the last bit of directions before letting us go for the day.

"Your practicals will begin at ten tomorrow morning, so make sure you get plenty of rest tonight. Any questions?"

Iida shot up his hand instantly, waiting for Mr. Aizawa to acknowledge him. "Sir, what can we expect for the practical portion of the exam?"

Mr. Aizawa let out a sigh. "To keep it simple, you will be working in two person teams while putting everything you've learned up till now into practice."

Kirishima's hand went up next. "Can we know who we are partnered with?"

"No."

Higakure followed. "What about what is expected from us?"

"No."

The next was Izuku. "Can we leave now?"

Mr. Aizawa let out a sigh. "Yes."

"Sweet." Izuku stood up and made his way to the door while the rest of the class started to put together their things.

I quickly got my things together and followed him out. "Geez thanks for waiting up, jerk."

He let out a soft chuckle. "Sorry I was just ready to get out of there."

"It's alright, I'll forgive you just this once." I smiled as I wrapped a jack around his arm keeping us close.

"Ooo I should consider myself lucky then." He said with a sarcastic tone.

"Yes you should." I teasingly poked him with my free jack. "Now come on, let's hurry up and get back, we're having a class meal tonight to celebrate the written finals being done and you're going to be there this time."

He let out a sigh. "Do I have to?"

"Do you want a repeat of what happened last time you skipped out on a class meal?"

He looked up as if he were pondering. "Are you going to sit on my lap this time?"

I felt my face heat up as I looked away from him. "No and I'm not bringing you food either."

"Fine, you win… again."

I smiled as I leaned into his shoulder. "See you're learning how this goes rather quickly."

He shook his head as we made it to the courtyard. "Your mother would be so proud."

"Hell yeah she would! Oh also she wants you to come over again sometime soon. It was something about having your first interactions with them as my official boyfriend."

"Yay…" He looked defeated.

"Don't give me that, I just had to do it the other day with you."

"Yeah, but mine don't hate you."

"Please mom and dad don't hate you." I rolled my eyes at him.

"You see Kyoka, right there what you just did was put emphasis on hate. That means they have some opinion on me and it's not a good one."

"And who's idea was it to leave without telling anyone what happened to them?"

"Kyoka, do you remember what she said she would do if I hurt you again?"

"I'm a little foggy but it was something along the lines of chewing bubblegum and turning your bones to dust."

"Yes, and she was all out of bubble gum."

"Huh, you know what I don't think she ever once bought bubblegum for me."

Izuku's eyes went wide as he whispered to himself. "There was never any bubblegum… oh God there was never any bubblegum."

"Oh get over it you big baby, I'm sure that's not the only thing she told you."

"Well she did mention something about good vibrations… have no clue why she would bring up The Beach Boys though?"

I felt my face heat up again as we reached the dorm. "Oh would you look at that, we're at the door where all conversations end. I'll see you later." I quickly unwrapped my jack from him before darting up to my room.

Up in my room I sunk to the floor as I leaned against my door. "Dammit what was that about Kyoka. He's your boyfriend so you should be used to this by now. I mean we've been sleeping in the same bed ever since our internships ended."

After sulking for a few minutes I got up and changed into some loungewear. Laying on my bed I stared at my ceiling thinking about what Izuku had just said. Sighing I pulled out my phone.

"Well this is quite the surprise. How are finals going sweetie?"

"They're fine. We just finished up with the written part of the finals."

"That's great! So what's on your mind?"

"You know Izuku is right, you are terrifying."

"Awww thank you. So how is the lover boy? I hope you two can come over soon."

"You know that's kind of why I called."

"Oooo I like the sound of this. So when are you coming over?"

"About that, I don't really know when it will happen since we have a class summer camp next week and I highly doubt we'll have time this weekend since it will be spent packing."

"Well that stinks. I was hoping to have another lovely talk with him."

I rolled my eyes at her words. "Right, I'll be sure to let him know. Also speaking of your talks with him I do have a couple questions."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah really… Mom, why the hell would you talk to him about good vibrations?"

"Hmmm I have no clue what you're talking about?"

"Mom… he wasn't lying to me when he said you told him. So why would you tell him anything about that?"

I could hear her laugh over the phone. "Kyoka you're a smart girl and we trust you, me more than your father, but we know how kids can be. All I did was plant a little seed in his mind."

"But why?! It's not normal for parents to encourage their daughters' boyfriends like that."

"But nothing is normal in this world anymore."

"Why is that everyone's favorite line now?"

"I have no clue what that's supposed to mean, but let me put it another way. The two of you are going to do what you want no matter what we say. All us parents can do is trust you and hope that if you do anything that you're smart about it, because I'm not ready to be a grandmother yet."

"Wow, surprisingly that actually makes me feel a little better. But I still have one more question."

"And what's that?"

"WHY WOULD YOU PLANT THAT SEED IN HIS HEAD?!"

My mother started to laugh again. "Because I knew you'd get upset."

I let out a sigh. "Well it's a good thing he's dense. He thought you were talking about The Beach Boys."

"Well that's understandable you two were at the beach when I called."

"Yeah, speaking of that, how did you get his number when I didn't give it to you?"

"Your teacher was kind enough to give it to me when we came on the first day of classes. I had a suspicion that you two would end up back together so I figured it would be a good idea."

"Well that solves that mystery." I let out another sigh as I looked at the clock. "Hey mom I gotta go. We have a class meal tonight to celebrate the written finals being over."

"Isn't it a little early for dinner?"

"Yeah, but I'm going to have to drag Izuku down more than likely. Despite all his changes he still isn't the biggest fan of being in group settings."

"Ah I see. Well you two have fun and we hope to see you soon."

"Alright, bye mom."

I took a deep breath before getting up and staring at myself in the mirror. I took off one of many hoodies that I stole from Izuku. A smirk spread across my face as I messed with the strap of my tank top.

"Good vibrations huh."

Taking my tank top off I threw it on my desk before taking my bra off and tossing it on my bed. I pouted at myself in the mirror before shaking my head. Putting my tank top and hoodie back on I made my way to the common area. I needed to get out of there before I changed my mind about this.

To my surprise Izuku was already downstairs with the majority of the class. He was already caught up in conversation with the guys so I decided to let him have some guy time. Thankfully Momo pulled me over to the other girls who were just enjoying being done with tests.

A couple hours later we had finished our meals and were lounging in the common area just enjoying a small break. Naturally Izuku and I had taken up the love seat. I decided it would be best to use his lap as a place to rest my legs. That being said due to the nature of our spot there wasn't much room so it was more comfortable… well at least it was for me.

We spent the night talking about how exams went and theorizing what would be on the practical portion. Izuku seemed to stay quiet during that. I figured he probably had some idea but wasn't allowed to say so. Our idea conversations carried on and slowly but surely everyone started making their way to their rooms. Before we knew it Izuku and I were walking towards my dorm. It had become a nightly thing for us to sleep in the same room. More often than not it was my room since Iida would always stand guard and silently judge us thanks to Izuku's trick he decided to play.

I was feeling nervous about this since I still wasn't wearing a bra and I knew we were about to blow off steam. Once we were in my room and had the door locked my jacks immediately found their way around the back of his neck as he pulled me in close. The feeling of his hands on the small of my back was a drug and I was hooked. Our lips crashed as we fumbled in our embrace towards my bed. Because of our inability to hold back for even a moment we stumbled and fell onto my bed with me landing on top of him. The two of us laughed as we broke apart to catch our breath for a moment. We laid there in bliss as I stared into his emerald eyes. I ran a hand through his hair before kissing him again. His hands shifted to my hips before he tightened his grip. I felt my face heat up as I looked away. His hand caressed my cheek before it turned my face towards him.

"That fucking confidence of yours when we're alone will never stop surpring me."

A smirk spread across his face as he rubbed his thumb on my cheek. "Only for you Kyoka."

I leaned into his hand before smiling. "Fuck it."

I shifted my position so I was no longer laying directly on him but now straddling him. Our eyes locked onto each other while I unzipped my hoodie and teasingly threw it on his face leaving me in my athletic shorts and tank top.

He laughed while pulling the hoodie off his face and throwing it to the side. "You know I could die happy knowing this was the last thing I saw."

I smirked while teasingly biting my bottom lip. "I can tell." I pointed my jack down to his crotch while I slowly moved my hips.

Izuku's eyes instantly went wide as his face turned red. "Oh God.. I… umm.. I'm sorry."

I used a jack to sush him before laughing. "Don't be, it's completely natural. If it wasn't like that then you should be apologizing."

Izuku took my hand in his and we interlocked our fingers. "I'm the luckiest guy in the world."

"You're damn right you are."

I leaned into him again as our lips connected, starting our tongues battle for dominance. Slowly Izuku's hand slid from my hips to my ass. His firm yet tinder grip gave me a euphoric feeling. No words needed to be said as we were lost in our own world. The only things I could hear were the rhythm of our hearts and the soft moans we would make. I pulled away in a soft pant, Izuku looked up at me with a tinge of worry.

"Kyoka, is everything alright?"

"Yeah… I just needed to catch my breath for a second, also…" I looked away as I felt my face heat up again.

His worried face became more apparent. "Also what?"

"I… um… I'm." I closed my eyes and turned away as I took his hand and placed it on my breast. It was subtle but his gentle squeeze sent a chill down my spine causing me to shudder to his touch.

"Wait, Kyoka, you're not…"

I opened my eyes and slowly turned to face him. The embarrassment of the situation was starting to fade as one of my jacks retrieved my discarded bra and held it up for him to see. The surprise in his eyes turned to lust as he bit his lip. Before I realized what had happened, Izuku flipped us so I was pinned underneath him. The sudden change in his demeanor caused my heart to skip a beat. Izuku leaned in and placed a soft kiss on my lips before moving to my neck. One of his hands made its way through my hair while the other slowly danced its way under my tank top and up my stomach. His calloused hands finally reached my chest as his grip tightened. His confidence continued to increase as he started to tease my hard nipples while switching between kissing and biting my neck. The mixture of pleasure and slight pain of the bites sent waves of ecstacy across my body. I let out a loud moan before biting my tongue trying to hold back.

"Izuku… ahhh… wait."

His hand let go of me as he shifted his gaze so our eyes met. "I'm sorry, did I go too far?"

I stared at him for a moment while I tried to stop my panting. "No Izuku, I just think it would be best to go back to your room for the night."

His face relaxed for a moment before turning slightly dejected. "Oh I understand… I'll see you tomorrow Kyoka."

As he got up I looked at him confused. "What's wrong Izuku?"

He looked at me surprised. "You just told me to go to my room. We've been sleeping together for almost two weeks now."

"I mean yeah, things were getting intense and my room isn't soundproofed yet. I'd rather not do anything to make Uraraka even more apprehensive around us, especially since we did tease her pretty hard the other day.

Izuku didn't answer me. We locked eyes as he just blinked blankly at me for a while before leaving without saying a word. Feeling defeated I fell back onto my bed with a sigh. I could still feel the faint lingering sensation of Izuku's hands and lips on my body.

"I guess I took it too far this time."

As I laid in bed I heard my phone start to ring. To my surprise it was Izuku.

"Hello?"

"Are you coming over or not?"

I stared at my phone before starting to laugh. "Yeah, I'll be right there."

I made my way to the dresser and opened it. Inside was a matching pair of purple lace bra and panties. I started to reach for it before shaking my head.

"No not this time, those are for a special night."

IZUKU POV

"At this point I'm not sure what is more annoying, the two weeks of perpetual blue balls and cold showers or the fact that our practical portion of the final was going to be against our teachers. I mean it's not like they have side gigs as pro heros or anything, oh wait that's exactly what all of their side jobs are. The only way this could get any worse was if-"

"HAHAHA I AM HERE TO TEST A COUPLE OF THE NEXT GENERATION OF HEROS."

"God fucking dammit."

"Alright, now that everyone is here we can go ahead and get on with the explanations of this exam. As I said yesterday you will be putting into practice everything you've learned so far while working in two man teams. You will have thirty minutes to either capture or escape from a villain. Now I'm sure some of you have already put two and two together, but for those of you who are still confused, the villains you'll be facing are us teachers. To keep things fair we will all be wearing bracelets that essentially double our body weight."

A gasp came from a certain section of the class, before the nonsensical chatter began. Some of their concerns had some validity, but the majority were all hypothetical situations.

"Wait, there's only nine teachers here. Wouldn't that make us one short?" Tsu asked while looking around slightly confused.

A slightly muffled voice came from Pop's scarf. "An excellent observation Ms. Asui, but that's where I come in."

Pops cleared his throat. "Right, Principal Nezu will be playing the part of the villian for one of your teams."

"Oh I feel sorry for whatever poor soul gets him. I don't even want to imagine the things he would do."

"Alright, now it's time to announce who you will be partnered with and who your opponent will be." Pops pulled out a disk and pressed the button on the center. A hologram screen appeared with a list of everyone's names.

I found my name at the bottom of the list paired with Todoroki. The two of us looked at each other and nodded. Across from our name was a name that I had mixed emotions about facing. Standing across from me was the same stupid smirk I had seen for a year and half. It had been awhile, but it was about time for a rematch with Pops.

"This is going to suck." I looked over at Kyoka who had an annoyed look on her face.

"What's with that face?"

"Koda and I have Present Mic. He doesn't seem all that tough, but he's just really loud."

"Yeah, doesn't sound like a good match for either of you, but I think you'll be fine."

She pouted before turning away from me. "Easy for you to say. Not only are you paired up with arguably the strongest person in class, but you're fighting someone who you've trained with for the better part of two years now."

I scratched the back of my head nervously. "That may be true, but I've never actually beaten him in any of our training… let alone come close to pressuring him."

Kyoka looked dumbfounded before bursting into laughter. "Oh God you're screwed."

Letting out a defeated sigh I looked back at the board. "Yeah, but at least I can take solace in the fact that I didn't get All Might or God forbid Principal Nezu."

Kyoka gave me a perplexed look. "You'd prefer to fight All Might over the Principal?"

"Everyday of the week and twice on Sunday."

"Why?"

My eyes locked to the sky as I had flashbacks of every time Principal Nezu had trained me when Pops and Mama Joke were both working. The faint smell of tea combines with his maniacal laughter. "It's said that Satan was once a beautiful angel known for his wisdom."

"What?"

I shook myself out of the flashback before turning to Kyoka. "I said I feel bad for whoever gets him as their opponent."

A little ways off we could hear two people cheering.

"Hell yeah Ashido, we got this in the bag. Summer camp here we come."

"You got that right, Kaminari. The Principal won't know what hit him."

I laughed to myself before starting to walk away. "Those poor souls don't know what hell awaits them."

"Where are you going Izuku?"

"To strategize for our match, I'd recommend you do the same. Present Mic can be a real pest. Try not to bug out when he yells."

With my attempt of giving Kyoka a useful hint, without being too helpful I made my way to strategize with Todoroki. It didn't take long for us to come up with a plan that we were happy with so we decided to watch the stream of the others doing their exams. Things were more or less going how I expected them to go. There were a few surprises like Mineta outsmarting Ms. Midnight and Bakugo willingly choosing to work together with Yaomomo to escape from All Might. The only other thing that surprised me was when Koda came up to apologize. Sure Kyoka's ears started to bleed due to her enhanced hearing, but I couldn't be mad at Koda. He faced his fears of bugs, that I honestly didn't know he had, and they passed so everything was alright.

As much fun as it was to watch everyone do their exams I was ready to get mine over with. I knew what we were going to do and it was a risk. Over the intercoms our names were called signaling us that it was our time. As we walked into the mock city I took my knife out and held it so my pinky was pressing against the blade. I would never fight like this, but after everything I had been through I still got a sense of relief from the slight bite of cold steel on my skin.

A bell rang snapping back to the moment. I quickly sheathed my knife before looking at Todoroki. The two of us made our way through the city looking for either the exit or Pops. The entire time we were moving Todoroki was emitting a small flame. We had no real reason to believe that Pops would give up his position, but it did give us the look as if we weren't expecting him to attack while our quirks were still active.

"Midoriya, do you really think this will work?"

"I don't know, but it's our best plan at the moment so we have to go for it."

"You do realize that there is a fifty-fifty chance everyone in class finds out about you?"

"Yeah, I know, but I don't want to lose this. I know it's a risk, but if everything happens how I think it will then everything should be fine."

We continued making our way through the city. Five minutes had passed and not once had we seen, let alone heard Pops. While passing by an alley Pops scarf shot out and wrapped itself around my arm. Instinctively I pulled out one of my throwing knives and sent it down the alley. I clang if two blades echoed from it and the scarfs tension released a little. Todoroki stepped back out of view of anything that would be in the alley before shooting a flame to free my arm.

Pop's voice echoed from the darkness of the alley. "Not bad, you both reacted quickly as always; however that won't be enough to beat me."

The chard end of the scarf that had previously been wrapped around me shot out again. His footsteps began to get louder as he approached as well. Ducking underneath his scarf I looked at Todoroki and nodded at him.

The two of us split up and started to run in different directions. Pops could only chase one of us at a time and I was certain he would go for me first.

"Let me guess, your plan is to use yourself as a decoy while the other searches for the exit. Not a bad strategy in theory, but there's no guarantee that you'd find it in time. Also I could have easily just gone to the exit myself and waited for one of you two to find it."

I looked back to see Pops running after me and quickly gaining ground on me. Reaching into one of my pouches I grab a stun grenade. Pops came to a halt as I threw it at him. A smirk formed on my face as I began to charge at Pops. The blinding flash would have a greater effect on him than me thanks to my contacts. Thankfully I had already experienced this sensation during the USJ attack.

I activated my quirk as the grenade exploded. I could see the orbs floating around Pops, if everything went perfectly I would have about five seconds till he was able to see agian. As I drew closer to him he started to laugh.

"Oh? You're approaching me?"

I came to a stop when his hair started to raise and I could see the gleam of his red eyes behind his goggles.

"No no no, we are not doing this, if you're going to make a reference pick something from a show that isn't complete shit."

My remark seemed to catch Pops off guard before narrowing his gaze on me. "Is that really what you're going to say first?"

I matched his gaze. "Were you expecting me to be shocked that you weren't affected by the stun grenade? Your quirk revolves around your eyes so it would only make sense that you have some kind of protection for them."

"It's good to see you understood some of my lessons, but let's see if you can put them into actual practice."

Pops readied his capture scarf while I took out my collapsible bo staff. He led with throwing out an end of his scarf, it seemed slower than normal so it was easy to side step. I started my charge at him again, but he threw out some caltrops to stop me. I don't slow my approach. Right as I made it to the caltrops I put the end of the bo staff on the ground to launch myself over them. A feeling of invincibility came over me as I was landing in front of Pops. That was until an all too familiar tennis ball came flying at my face. Thankfully I was able to contort my body enough to keep it from hitting me.

When I landed on the ground I looked at Pops with a deadpan expression. "Seriously, tennis balls!?"

He gave me a smirk before shrugging. "If it's not broken, don't fix it."

The two of us continued to dodge and attempt to trade blows. Because of the close proximity between us and the extra weight Pops couldn't effectively use his scarf. All the time we had spent sparing allowed us to both know what the other was thinking and wanting to do next. With each blow we got slower and pops got closer to blinking. Right as pops was about to blink I could see a flame out of the corner of my eye on top of a building. A confident smile spread across my face as I pulled out a second stun grenade.

"Todoroki do it now!"

Pop's instincts took over as he jumped back from me hoping to avoid an ice attack from Todoroki. But none came. I threw the second stun grenade at Pops so it would go off right in his face. Since he was already on the verge of blinking I would have a window to make my move and because of how close he was to the grenade he would definitely be left disoriented for a while.

I started my charge at Pops again and kept my quirk activated. I could see the orbs and I knew which one I wanted. Sending my punch at Pops I missed just barely wide. The last thing I saw before entering his memory was a proud look in his eyes.

~ I found myself sitting in the back of Pop's car. Him and Mama Joke were driving somewhere. I wasn't sure what was going on since this didn't match the memory I had chosen.

"I'm telling you Shota we need to go back, something is wrong."

"What are you talking about Emi?"

"I know it's our anniversary dinner but we need to be with Izuku right now."

"Where is this coming from? We told him we were going out to eat and then we'd be right back."

"I know, but this was the first time Izuku was ever against us going out. I just can't shake the feeling that we're making the wrong choice."

"You do realize you're the one that told him that tonight was a special night for us and pushed aside his asking for us to stay home."

"Yes Shota I know that, but the more I think about it the more worried I get."

"Alright, we'll head back."

The rest of their car ride back they didn't talk. Pops just focused on the road and Mama Joke tapped her fingers on her legs with a sense of urgency. Before too long they made it back to Pops house. As they entered the house I snapped my finger to change the outcome of the memory. After my snap a crash could be heard from my room. The two rushed to my room to find me lying on the ground with a belt around my neck, an ice pick on my desk, and blood running from my arms and ears. The crash came from the ceiling fan finally falling from my weight.

Mama Joke screamed as Pops ran to my body and tried to save me, but they were too late. Pops did everything he could to try and bring me back while they waited for paramedics to arrive. As tears ran down Mama Jokes face she found a note.

"They won't stop. Nothing I do makes them stop. I'm sorry but I just need them to stop."~

Back in reality Pops let out a gut wrenching scream as he collapsed to his knees being invaded in ice.

"God dammit why!? Why didn't we listen to him!? It didn't have to be this way!" Pops continued to thrash around as he punched the ice that was encasing him.

I grabbed his head so he would look at me. "Pops look at me. I'm right here everything is fine, I'm fine."

His eyes went wide as tears started streaming down his face. His arms pulled me into his chest. "Thank God, I'm so glad you're alright Izuku."

I returned his hug. "Well that's a first. Mama Joke is gonna be so happy that you finally didn't call me kid."

A small chuckle escaped his lips as he refused to let me go. "Yeah, hopefully that cheers her up. She's had something on her mind recently, but refuses to talk about it."

I felt my chest tighten a little. "Hey Pops, was that really the conversation you and Mama Joke had in the car that night?"

"Yeah, she always has a sixth sense when it comes to you."

"Do you think you two can get off tomorrow night? There's something I need to do."

"Sure, I'll let her know." He pulled away from me but placed a hand on my head

"Thanks Pops."

"It's no problem." He looked down before looking back at me. "When did I get covered in ice, and why are my feet warm?"

The two of us looked behind him to see Todoroki melting the ice around Pop's ankles before putting the cuffs on them.

"Sorry to ruin the moment, but we were still in the exam and there's only a couple minutes left. I really didn't want to fail."

I started to laugh before standing up. "I love it when a plan comes together."

"Alright calm down Hannibal. You won this one, but don't get a big head."

A smirk spread across my face. "You're right, I did beat you. That means it's time for you to teach me how to use that scarf."

Pops let out a sigh. "It took you long enough. We'll start during the summer camp alright."

I smile spread across my face. "Yes sir."

All the exams had completed and we were all making our way to the dorms as a class. Apparently Principal Nezu suspected something was going to happen between Pops and I so the feed in the watch area had a glitch where all sound was lost right before my quirk activated. Thankfully no one suspected anything of me.

"Hey Kyoka, can you ask your parents if it's alright for us to come over tomorrow night along with two other people?"

She looked at me suspiciously before smiling. "You want to introduce them to Pops and Mama Joke don't you?"

A gave her a smile. "Yeah, there's something I need to do that I should have done a long time ago."

Kyoka quickly pulled out her phone and called Mika. "Hey Mom, tomorrow night Izuku and I are coming over for dinner with two other people… no it's not friends or ours… I know it's last minute but Izuku approached me about this… is that seriously all it took to convince you… alright we'll see you at six then."

I looked at her while trying to hold back laughter. "She totally told you no until you mentioned that I asked for it."

"Shut up or I'll make you regret it."

"What are you gonna do, blue ball me? Well news flash Kyoka you've been doing that for the past two weeks."

"What are you talking about? I've never…" The realization of our nightly routine for the past two weeks dawned on her slowly. "That would explain why you've been taking cold showers. I'm sorry baby, I'll make it up to you."

"Oh thank God."

"At some point."

"Damn you."

Kyoka started to laugh before taking my hand. We continued to the dorm in a comfortable silence. I had a new found confidence after finally betting Pops in a fight. I may have had a little help from Todoroki, but a win is a win and nothing could ruin my mood.

"Deku we need to have a talk."

"Universe… go fuck yourself."

I stopped to turn around and saw Bakugo standing behind us. "What about?"

"Just come with me and I'll explain everything."

I felt Kyoka's hand tighten around mine as a look of worry was on her face. I gave her a smile before kissing her cheek. "Go ahead to my room, this won't take long."

She nodded before letting go and walking into our dorm. When she was gone, Bakugo motioned for me to follow him. After a short walk we found ourselves standing in the forest that was on the edge of campus. I wasn't sure what he wanted, but I had a pretty good idea.

"Well I came with you, now what do you want?"

"It looks like you've finally accepted it, that quirk of yours."

My heart stopped momentarily as the words left his mouth. "What are you talking about Bakugo I'm quirkless."

"Drop the act Deku, you're not fooling me."

I bit my tongue as I glared at him. "What makes you think I have a quirk?"

He sent a glare back at me. "Seriously, where the hell should I start? How about the fight that just happened? That last punch at Mr. Aizawa didn't hit him yet he started screaming as if you had just broken all his bones. Or maybe at the sports festival? You took out contacts, we've known each other since we were little and you've always had perfect vision. It could all have been that time in the alley? You looked directly at me with black eyes."

I let out a sigh before looking down. "Is that it? As far as the fight goes he was screaming because of Todoroki's ice. It was a scream of frustration. It's been nearly two years since we last saw each other. One day I was training and I hit my head and I've had blurred vision ever since. The contacts are to help correct that. As for the alley when you gave me this lovely scar, you must have just been so enraged that I fought back that you started seeing things."

"I'm sorry I can't take it anymore. I don't know what's real or what's fake."

I looked up at him confused. "What the hell are you saying?"

"Whenever I close my eyes I'm haunted by my past experiences. There are so many things I don't remember and the things you say don't match what I remember. Ever since you developed your quirk I lived in terror not knowing if or when I was going to have to experience painful memories."

I clenched my fists as they started to shake. "Where did you hear that?"

He looked at me confused. "What are you talking about? The old hag brought me along when she came to check on you the day your mom left."

"No you weren't there, I've seen that memory hundreds of times and you've never been there."

"Yes, I was Deku. You broke down in your living room. While the old hag tried to comfort you I found that note on the ground."

"No, tha… that's not possible."

I started hyperventilating as vision went blurry. An intense pain ran through my head as if it was trying to tear apart from the inside out. As the pain in my head started to be excruciating it disappeared and my vision slowly returned. The moment I regained my senses in full I activated my quirk and jumped into that memory. Everything he had said was true.

I looked up to Bakugo with a few stray tears in my eye. "If you knew the truth the whole time, then why did you continuously treat me like a walking punching bag?"

He looked away while scratching the back of head. "Besides the fact that I was an asshole? Honestly I was pissed at you. I wanted you to get mad and let all that emotion out. I wanted you to use your quirk and shut up all those people that blindly believed what they heard."

"And you thought that by continuously tearing me down would help… what the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Look, we already established that I was an asshole."

"Asshole doesn't even begin to cover it! Do you even know how many nights I stayed awake because I couldn't get the things you said out of my head?! I have spent literal years in therapy because of you! This whole time I thought you were like the majority of this world that thought quirkless equaled worthless, but no, you're the type to kick someone while they're down thinking it will teach them to be tougher. For fucks sake I actually did what you wanted and you sent me to the hospital for my reward and my trophy was a scar that covers the majority of my chest."

"If it makes you feel any better, the old man gave me a good beating after he found out everything."

I rolled my eyes at him. "Surprisingly no, it doesn't make me feel better." I took a deep breath as I tried to regain my composure. "So now what, are you going to go tell the whole class I've been lying about being quirkless?"

"No."

"I figured as much, just go right on fucking up the things for… I'm sorry, what was that?" I looked at him confused.

"I said I'm not going to tell anyone. It wasn't my place in middle school and it sure isn't my place now. I've messed enough things up for you already, I'm not about to repeat my mistakes."

I sighed before leaning against one of the trees. "I get you're trying to turn a new leaf and be a better person. I can see you actually are making an effort. Hell you even work together with people now and haven't insulted me once since school started, besides still calling me that nickname, but don't expect me to forgive you."

"I didn't do this hoping for forgiveness, I don't deserve it. I just wanted to clear the air and tell you that I knew about everything."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." I put my hands in my pockets as I started to walk off. "You said what you wanted and I'm done listening."

Today didn't go how I expected it would at all. Between the physical and emotional draining of the exam and Bakugos big revelation I needed time to think. I clicked in and out of my messages constantly as I walked back to the dorm thinking of what I should do. The faint murmurs of the voice started to rise before a notification popped up silencing them.

Kyoka: "Is everything alright?"

I bit my tongue as I made my way through the common room. She wasn't down here so that meant she was already in my room. Making my way to the stairs I skipped my floor and kept going up until I reached the roof. It was one of the few places I could actually have some peace and quiet to think.

Midoriya: "Yeah, you can head back to your room. I'm gonna be out for a while."

Sitting on the edge of the roof I let my legs hang off the side. The sun was starting to set, painting the sky a deep orange. It didn't take long for my mind to wander. I let out a sigh before checking my phone again, it had been ten minutes since I texted Kyoka and she hadn't responded. As I put my phone back the door leading to the roof opened. I didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

"It took you ten minutes, you're getting slower."

"What the hell is going on Izuku? First you tell me to wait in your room and now you say go to mine because you're going to be out."

"I know, it's just I need to sort some things out."

She didn't say anything as she sat and leaned her back on mine. From the amount of pressure she put on me I could tell she was holding her knees to her chest.

"I texted Mama Joke and told her about tomorrow night. I didn't tell her that it's with my parents. Apparently Pops had already mentioned to her that you wanted to do something."

"Oh, that's good."

She took a deep breath before sighing. "Do you want to talk about it?"

I let out another sigh. "Bakugo has known about my quirk since my mom left."

"Oh… well I guess it's good he's respected your wish to keep it secret for now."

"Surprisingly that's not what's eating at me right now."

I could hear the sound of her jacks tapping together. "I don't know if that's a good or bad thing."

"Nine times out of ten I'd say it's good."

"But this is that one time."

"Exactly."

She reached her hand back, placing it on mine. "Then what was the issue?"

"The relationship I have with Bakugo is… complicated to say the least and the fact that he knew about my quirk makes it even worse."

She started to fidget a little before placing something by my hand. "Here, I thought you might need this."

I took my flask that she had brought and took a sip. "Thanks, you might want some too. I told you before that I used to get bullied. I'm not sure what all Tsubaki told you, but that was a daily thing from kindergarten up until I left and Bakugo was the ringleader."

Her hand tightened on mine. "Why? He was your childhood friend right?"

"I'm a way, all the neighborhood kids would get together to play when we were little and Bakugo was our leader. We would always talk about being heros and what quirks we wanted. Well as you can imagine when my quirk manifested it didn't go well. I made the choice to be known as quirkless rather than the kid that could traumatize someone."

"So you were ostracized. You probably thought that as everyone got older they'd outgrow the picking on the kid that's different."

"Exactly, but that never happened. The bullying never stopped even after he found out."

"Why not?"

I laughed a little before taking another swig. "Besides the fact he's an asshole?"

She let out a small laugh as well. "If it wasn't for the fact I know he used to bully you, I'd disagree. He has his moments but he tends to get along and respect most people."

"Yeah that's something new as well." I readjusted so my legs weren't hanging off the side. "The reason he still did all that was because he wanted me to get mad and use it. He apparently wanted me to stand up for myself and stop bottling up everything."

Her jack found its way around my arm. "He may have gone about it in the worst way possible, but it sounds like he was at least trying to help."

I slammed my flask on the ground. "I don't care if he was trying to help! It would have been better if he had just not done anything, or maybe tried to stop everyone from tormenting me!"

I could feel her flinch as I blew up. "Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was defending him."

"I know you weren't, I just don't know what to feel right now."

"And that's alright, it's a lot to process, everything you knew just got flipped upside down."

"Yeah." I took another swig before handing the flask to Kyoka. "Drink some, you're going to need it."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

I could hear the sound of her taking a sniff before taking a small sip. I felt her back scrunch up as she shuddered. When she finally took an actual drink she started to cough.

"Oh God that burns. How do you drink it the way you do?"

"Years of practice, eventually you get used to it and learn to love the burn."

She let out a small laugh. "Are you sure you're not a masochist?"

"Yeah, I am definitely a sadist. That being said, I still haven't figured out what you are."

"Worry about that later. Now why did you have me drink that?"

"You know the scar on my chest?"

She put all of her wait on my back as if she had melted. "Do I ever. I remember when I first saw it one of my first thoughts was 'damn that's gonna be sexy and I wonder if he'll let me touch it'."

"I'm serious Kyoka."

"So am I." She let out a laugh before readjusting herself to her previous position. "What about it?"

"Did I ever tell you how I got this scar?"

"Someone attacked you the night we were supposed to go to the music night with my parents."

"That's the story everyone knows, but only a couple people know the truth."

Her hand and jack tightened on mine even more. "And what is the truth?"

I took the flask and took another swig before setting it down. "Bakugo gave me this scar."

Kyoka didn't answer. I could feel her hands start to tremble. She took the flask and took another drink, but this one didn't seem to phase her. Her jack unraveled from my arm before she stood up.

"And where do you think you're going?"

"To kick his ass."

"It's not worth it."

"Like hell it is! Izuku, he put you in the hospital and marked you for life! You could have died if Pops hadn't shown up when he did! How can you sit there and tell me it's not worth it!?"

"Because it's not your place to step in."

"And why not?!"

"Because it has nothing to do with you. This is an issue between him and myself."

She begrudgingly sat back down and leaned against me, but she didn't take my hand or wrap her jack around my arm.

"So what now, do you want me to pretend like he didn't do anything wrong?"

"No, I want you to be yourself, but I want you to let me handle this."

"Well what are you going to do?"

"Nothing, I'm just going to keep going on like normal. I don't plan on holding a grudge, but that doesn't mean I'll forgive him. That being said, in a weird twist of fate I could be grateful to him for this scar."

"Izuku, are you drunk?"

"No, but honestly we wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for that night."

"Maybe so, but is this really what was best?"

"It's hard to say. Sure I hurt you by leaving and I can never make up for that, but that doesn't change the fact a lot of good came from it. I found a new family and actually got the help I needed."

"You know it's hard to poke holes in your logic when you say stuff like that."

I took her hand in mine and our fingers interlocked. "It's the truth, I don't know what my life would look like if it wasn't for pops and Mama Joke and honestly I don't even want to imagine it."

Her hand squeezed mine as we sat in silence. The sun had completely set by the time our conversation had ended.

"Izuku, we should go back inside. Everyone is probably wondering where we are"

"Yeah."

Neither of us moved as he sat basked in the moonlight.

"Do you want to go to your room?"

"Yeah."

Once again neither of us moved. Kyoka squeezed my hand tighter as the back of her head rested against mine.

"I love you Izuku."

"I love you too, Kyoka."
