IZUKU POV

"Hey little buddy, are you ready to head out?"

Standing at the gate heading out of UA was Mirio waving excitedly at me. Kyoka was walking with me, ready to send me off. She held onto my hand tightly and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

"Promise you won't do anything stupid?"

Laughing at her question I shook my head. "No promises."

She started to laugh as well but kept her eyes to the ground. This was completely different from the internships. There was no guarantee that he would take me on. Even if Sir originally took me on to prove to me I couldn't be a hero, he wasn't able to make his point stick.

After our phone calls last night Kyoka and I talked about what had happened on the last day of the internships and the confrontation between Sir and myself. It made sense why she was so worried that I was willingly going back into the lion's den. It was obvious that she didn't want me to do this, but she was choosing to support me.

"Everything will be fine, I doubt he's even going to accept me."

She looked up at me and did her best to force a smile. "He'd be dumb not to accept you."

I shook my head at her. "That look doesn't suit you."

Sighing she looked down again. "Look, I'm trying to be supportive, but I really don't want you to do this."

"I know, but try looking on the bright side."

"What bright side?"

"I'll have money to spoil you and go out on better dates."

She stopped for a moment to weigh the different options and outcomes. "I still don't like it."

I laughed at her response. "Kyoka don't worry so much about me. You should really be thinking about what you're doing after this."

Kyoka sucked her teeth as she looked away again. When Tsu and Uraraka found out about Hado wanting to talk to them about a work study they wanted to get an answer as soon as possible. Even though she said that she needed time to think about it, Tsu and Uraraka pushed her hand to give an early answer. Luckily Hado was currently with Ryukyu till this evening so it gave her a couple hours to think about it. All the sudden changes were piling up and causing her a lot of stress.

As she started to fidget with her jack and I placed a hand on her head to get her attention. "I've got to go now. I'll call you the second I leave so you don't have to think about it until I get back."

She looked up at me and tapped her jacks together. "Promise?"

"Of course, you know how important trust is to me."

Kyoka let out another sigh and gave me a gentle smile. "Alright."

We shared a moment of silence as we smiled at each other.

"Hurry it up already! We have a train to catch!"

Looking over at the gate Mirio was impatiently tapping his foot. The both of us started to laugh at him.

"You should get going, don't want to be late to your interview."

I shook my head. "Talk about a bad first impression, but I guess this wouldn't be a first impression."

"No, but you are going to ask for a job." She reached up and started to readjust my tie making sure it looked right. "Just don't do anything reckless, ok."

I gave her a nervous smile. "You got it, well I'll see you later."

Turing I jogged to catch up to Mirio who was still looking impatient. When I reached him he was shaking his head at me.

"What?"

"You two should seriously get a room."

Laughing I patted his back before walking past him. "We already have two of them."

Mirio started to laugh as well while walking beside me. "Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Way to go little buddy."

The walk from the school to the train station went by quickly. Really anytime flew by when you were spending it with Mirio. He just had an aura that relaxed everyone. I was extremely grateful for that aura at the moment. The meeting with Sir was going to be intense and I wasn't completely confident in how it would turn out.

"You're pretty nervous aren't you?"

I looked up at Mirio surprised. "What?"

"You are nervous aren't you? I mean you've been messing with your wrists."

Looking down I realized he was right. I didn't know how long I had been rubbing my knuckles on my wrist, but judging from the warmth coming off of them it had been for awhile.

I let out a nervous laugh while scratching the back of my head. "I guess so, I mean I didn't exactly leave on a good note."

"Yeah, things were pretty awkward around the office for a couple weeks after you left. It will probably be pretty awkward for a while no matter what happens."

Looking down dejected I took a deep breath. "Mirio, is there any chance that he actually takes me on?"

Mirio looked up as he thought. "It's hard to say. Under normal circumstances I'd say fifty fifty, but…"

"But I'm not a normal circumstance."

He nervously laughed. "Yeah, I'd say your fifty fifty has a second fifty fifty that you have to get past first."

"So it's not looking good for me at all."

"Nope, but there's no harm in trying right?"

I shook my head and looked up at Mirio's contagious smile. "Yeah, you're right."

The rest of the train ride was filled with mindless small talk. I did my best to not focus on what was about to go down but it was still gnawing away in the back of my mind.

When we were standing in front of the everything came rushing back and I felt my breathing become short. My heart was pounding as if it were about to break free. I was frozen in place, my legs refused to move. Any and all confidence I had was gone. As my vision was starting to narrow a slap on my back brought me back to my senses.

Mirio was giving me his million dollar smile. "You got this little buddy."

I returned the smile before taking a deep breath to compose myself. "Hell yeah I do."

Opening the doors I made my way straight to Sir's office. With every step my confidence slowly returned. When I finally reached the door my confidence had peaked. Taking one last deep breath I opened the door to find Bubble Girl once again strapped to the tickle machine.

"Huh, I guess some things never change."

Sir and Centipeder both turned around giving me a confused look. Sir Nighteye turned off the machine before addressing me. "Midoriya… what are you doing here?"

"I came to ask about doing a work study here."

Sir narrowed his eyes. "Why?"

I met his gaze. "I already had a connection to this place so I figured I might as well ask here first."

"I see, that is the logical choice, but you're forgetting something important."

"Is it the fact that you dislike me?"

"No." He made his way and stood over me. "You didn't call to set up an appointment about a meeting. You can't just show up whenever you choose. I told you once before that I hate slobs. Not even calling ahead is not a good way to start out an interview."

I looked at Sir extremely confused. "I'm sorry, but I'm confused."

"Is it how hating slobs is related to not calling ahead of time? It's actually quite simple. A slob refers to someone who is lazy and not calling a head is a very lazy thing to do."

"Oh, well that does clear up some of the confusion, but I called on Monday."

Sir's eyes narrowed even further. "This isn't funny Midoriya."

"I'm not trying to be funny. I called the office on Monday." I pulled out my phone to show him the call record. "You were out of the office and Bubble Girl answered. I told her I got my Provisional License and that I wanted to come ask about doing a work study."

"I see." He adjusted his glasses as he turned to face Bubble Girl. "She never passed that information on to me, so I would like to retract my previous statement about your laziness."

"Uh… thank you?"

"You're welcome." Sir went back to his desk and sat down holding his seal. "So tell me Midoriya, what can you bring to my office?"

"Besides a second chance to get me to quit?"

"Yes."

"At the moment nothing."

"I see, I commend your honesty." Sir stood up and unstrapped Bubble Girl from the machine. "All of you leave, I would like to speak with Midoriya in private."

Everyone except Sir and myself quickly left the room. As the door closed he sat back down and repeatedly tapped his seal on the desk. The room's mood turned serious as his eyes locked onto me.

"Midoriya, you do remember I don't approve of you being a hero?"

"Yes, you made that abundantly clear before I left during the internships."

"Yet you still decided to come here hoping for a work study."

"Yes Sir."

"You want me to pay someone to do hero work, who I don't believe should be a hero." He slammed his seal on the desk one last time. "You do know how insane that sounds."

"Yes Sir, my girlfriend told me the same exact thing last night… and this morning… and as I was leaving to come here."

Sir started to tap his seal on the desk again. "Midoriya, do you know why I don't like the idea of you being a hero?"

"Because I tell everyone I'm quirkless."

"Exactly."

I looked up at him surprised. "Is that seriously the only reason?"

"Yes, why do you find that so surprising?"

"You've apparently seen my medical records, which I'm assuming Principal Nezu let you see. With all the shit I've been through I'd assume you didn't think I had what it takes to press on through the hard times."

"While most people may think of those shortcomings as a detriment, I think they help humanize hero's."

"That seems counterproductive."

"I can't deny that. Today everyone thinks that heros should be larger than life and perfect, but that's only a delusion. Everyone, including the greatest heroes, has a few skeletons in their closet."

I shook my head at him. "Alright, I guess that makes sense, but can we get back to the core issue here? Why do you reject the idea of me being a hero just because I tell people that I'm quirkless?"

Sir stopped tapping his seal again. "Trust."

"Really?"

"Tell me Midoriya, what is the base of all relationships?"

"Sharing a common enemy."

Sir's eyes pierced through me. "Your jokes are getting better. The answer is trust. Midoriya, if you had to give a number, how many people do you trust wholeheartedly?"

"Maybe five people. As stated earlier I have a lot of issues that I'm working through."

"Who would you compare your relationship with those people you trust? I'm sure there is a stark contrast between the two."

I wouldn't say a stark contrast… but they're definitely not the same." I scratched the back of my head looking away.

"How do you think you would react if one of those people broke that trust you had in them?"

I let out a sigh. Sir's point was finally starting to get a cross. "It probably wouldn't be pretty."

"Exactly, now how do you think society would react if a hero they looked up to had been lying to them the entire time?"

"They'd lose all credibility."

"Midoriya, the truth will come out eventually. How do you think the world will react when the first quirkless hero to come out of UA turns out to be a fraud? How will all the quirkless people you inspired react when their hero was never like them?" Sir took off his glasses and looked me in the eyes. "The reason I can't accept you being a hero, Midoriya , is because I can't trust you."

I was utterly shocked. The reasoning behind Sir's dislike of me wasn't what I had expected at all. My own shortcoming of not being able to trust people was turning on me. I should have seen something like this coming, but I chose to ignore the possibility.

"I see, well if that's the case, I guess my time here is done." I turned around to leave. Before I even took my first step Sir's seal flew past my head.

"I wasn't done talking to you Midoriya. Sit down and listen."

Sighing I turned back around and sat down across from him. "Alright, what else do you have to say?"

"My agency is currently doing an investigation that I think you'd be interested in."

I raised an eye at him intrigued. "Ok."

"Since you're not part of the agency I can't go into details for obvious reasons."

"Then why are you telling me this in the first place?"

Sir sighed. "Midoriya, do you remember the Yakuza incident that happened during your internship? Well it turns out that case ran deeper than we thought."

"Interesting, but I still don't understand why you're telling me all this?"

"Right now I'm at a crossroads. The mentor in me is telling me to bring you on so you see the end of what you started, but that same side is telling me to shut you down from all hero work."

"Sir, what do you want me to do?"

"Give me a reason to trust you."

I leaned back looking at him shocked. "What?"

"Give me a reason to trust you. If you can do that then I'll let you do your work study here."

I was stunned. This was probably the last thing I expected from this meeting. All I had to do was give him one reason to trust me. Various ideas ran through my head, but nothing seemed good enough. I looked up at Sir to see his eyes locked on me; however they weren't piercing though me. His eyes were softer as if they were just pleading for me to give him an answer.

"I don't know if I can say anything to convince you to trust me. I know based on personal experiences words alone aren't enough to gain someone's trust."

Sir sighed as he looked down. "I see, well I'm-"

"But that doesn't mean I won't try." Sir looked up at me slightly annoyed that I interrupted him. "I've been doing a lot of thinking the past few weeks about the future and what I want to do. I want to be a hero, but not in the same way as my classmates. All Might once told me that people aren't born heroes. They're made by the people they rescue. I plan on rescuing a lot of people, but not in the same way as everyone else. I'm going to be like Midnight who is a therapist first and a hero second."

For a moment a smile spread across Sir's face. "I see, it's good to hear that you have a solid goal, but do you think that's enough?"

I shook my head. "No, I told you earlier that words aren't enough. So I'd also like to make a deal with you."

Sir's eyes narrowed. "Interesting, let's see what you have to offer."

A smirk spread across my face. "If you take me on Sir, by the end of my stay I'll tell Mirio, Centipeder, and Bubble Girl the truth."

"I see, so that's the angle you're choosing to take. I must admit it's intriguing, but I don't know if-"

"And if I don't tell them by the time I'm done here, you can tell the world my secret."

Sir's eyes narrowed again. "That certainly is some big talk Midoriya, are you sure you can follow through?"

I smiled while reaching into my bag. "I wouldn't have said it if I wasn't sure."

I set a form in front of Sir. It wasn't anything crazy, just the standard work study form that UA used. I had played my cards and now all that was left for Sir to decide if it was good enough. I don't know if it was, but it was my best chance.

Picking up the form Sir began to read over it. What took only three minutes felt like an hour. When he finished reading over everything he set the form down and locked his eyes on me again.

"I still don't trust you Midoriya. You were correct in saying that words alone can't gain someone's trust."

Sighing I sunk into my chair a little. "I figured as much."

"However I knew this from the beginning."

"So you gave me an impossible challenge?"

"No, I gave you an opportunity to change my mind. I must commend your resolve to put everything on the line, so I'm going to reward it." In a single swift motion Sir stamped his seal on the form without breaking eye contact. "As of now you are officially a part of the Nighteye Agency. You will be responsible for keeping your grades in check, if they slip to anything I deem unworthy your position will be terminated. Your first official day will be Monday, we'll set up your schedule then. Do you have any questions?"

"Did you look over the form to just memorize where the seal spot was?"

"Yes. Any other questions?"

"No Sir."

"Alright, now if you'll excuse me I have a meeting to get to. I'll see you first thing Monday morning and don't be late."

Standing up I grabbed the form and put it back in my bag. "Yes Sir!"

As I reached the door Sir called out one last time. "I hope that your resolve doesn't waver."

When I reached the lobby I was bombarded by Mirio and Bubble Girl who wanted to know how everything went. I figured I'd have a little fun with them and I put on a sad expression. The two of them began to apologize and tried to cheer me up. After a few minutes of their attempts I decided enough was enough and I showed them the stamped form saying that he had accepted me. After a brief moment of shock I was met with a swift punch on my arms from both of them. It didn't take long for them to return to their cheery selves. I decided I should go ahead and leave since they still had work to do, plus I still needed to call Kyoka and let her know the news.

As I made my way to the train station I pulled out my phone. Looking at the time I realized Kyoka was probably with Uraraka, Tsu, and Hado. I didn't want to interrupt them, but I did promise I'd call her when I left. Taking a deep breath I selected her name and listened to the ring.

KYOKA POV

After Izuku left I made my way back to the dorms. Everyone was enjoying their start to the weekend. Normally I'd be just as excited as them, but I had a lot on my mind. Rather than distract myself I decided that the silence in my room would be best to sort my thoughts out.

I still hadn't come to a decision regarding what I wanted to tell Hado. Time was running short and I hadn't gotten any closer to an answer. It felt as if the walls were closing in on me. Deciding to go to my old tried and true, I grabbed my guitar and started to play. Music has always been a way for me to relax and find answers. Thirty minutes went by and I was still looking for an answer. An hour passed and nothing came to me. It was frustrating knowing that I was making no progress. As I was putting up my guitar a gentle knock came from the door.

On the other side of the door was Momo. She had her usual gentle smile as she held a tray with two cups of tea. "Would you like something to drink?"

I gave her a smile as I motioned for her to come in. "Sure, I could use a break."

We made idle chatter as we enjoyed our drinks. It was refreshing not thinking about the decision I had to give Hado. I was starting to think that I had made the wrong choice.

"So, what's been on your mind Kyo?"

Just like that Momo had brought me back to reality.

Nearly spitting out my tea I looked at her shocked. "Why do you always do that?"

She gave me a smirk as she set her cup down. "I know your mannerisms almost as well as Izuku."

Letting out a sigh I leaned against the wall. "You know that would be creepy if it came from anyone else Momo."

She giggled to herself. "Yes, I know, but it is quite handy." Her gaze turned serious as looked at the guitar sitting on my bed. "Something must have really been bothering you if you spent an entire hour playing."

I looked at my fingers on my left hand. They were a deep red from all the playing. Thankfully I didn't rip off a callus while playing. "A lot is happening today."

"Right, you said Midori was going to talk about doing a work study today." Her gaze went to my hands. "But I'm guessing that's not all of it."

I shook my head. "I got offered an introduction for a work study. I have to give an answer today when Hado gets back."

"I see." She took a sip of her tea. "You don't know what to say so you've been in here trying to figure out what you want to do."

I pulled my knees to my chest as I started to fiddle with my jacks. "As usual you're spot on Momo."

Momo sighed while setting down her tea. "What happened to the girl I fell for? The old Kyo didn't take shit and told it like it was. Nothing got in her way."

I laughed at her description of me. It was true that I had changed since Izuku and I got back together. I became a little more passive to not overstep and hurt him. I just didn't realize it had changed me that much.

"What can I say, love changes a girl."

Momo gave me a smile before groaning. "Gosh Kyo, you're no fun to tease like this." She gave me a wink and smirk. "But that's not saying I don't like you the way you are now."

I shook my head at her while laughing. "Wow Momo, are you really trying to flirt with me right now?"

She smirked at me before sipping her tea again. "I don't know what you're talking about Kyo."

The two of us broke into laughter. Momo definitely helped bring me closer to my answer. As we sat there laughing my phone went off. I instantly opened it up hoping it was Izuku, unfortunately it was Hado.

Sighing, I stood up. "Well looks like it's time for me to get ready."

Momo raised an eye at me. "She's back already?"

I shook my head. "Not quite, she's on her way back, but I'm going to start getting ready."

As I started to change, a gasp came from Momo. "Kyo, what are you wearing?!"

I turned to Momo who had turned bright red. A small smirk spread across my face as I gave her a teasing pose. "Do you like them? They're Izuku's favorite."

"Yes… I mean why are you wearing them now?" She tried to look away but kept peaking.

"Confidence."

"D… do they give you confidence or do you feel confident in them?"

"Yes."

Momo's face was a deep red now as she closed her eyes and looked down. "Can you please put some clothes on Kyo!"

It was a rare treat to see Momo this flustered so I decided to take a picture of her to torment her with later. "What's wrong Momo? You've seen me naked before and you didn't react like this at all."

"This is completely different!"

I took a few steps closer to her and wrapped my jack around her throat lightly earring a gasp from her as she looked up at me. "Is it more entament since we're alone?" I pressed my jack behind her ear and sent a small vibration through it.

A gentle moan escaped from her lips as she looked up at pleading. "Kyo, please…"

Uncoiling my jack from her neck I proceeded to get changed. I could feel her eyes locked on to every move I made. Did I take the joke too far? Definitely, but she deserved it for all the shit she pulled on me before. As I was about to leave Momo was still sitting in her chair with a small pout.

Shaking my head I walked up to her. "What's wrong Momo?"

"Nothing at all. Did you figure out your answer yet?"

"Nope, but I'm not too worried."

Momo looked up at me, shocked. "What do you mean you're not worried? You were just panicking all afternoon."

I shrugged before giving her a wink. "I'll just tell her whatever I feel at the moment. It's my choice, who cares what people think."

A soft smile spread across Momo's face. "That's the Kyo I know."

"Alright, I'll see you later." As I was about to leave I decided to take another shot at her. "Oh Momo, if you're feeling frustrated please take care of it in your room. If you need help I could tell you his measurements."

Her face turned bright red again. "Kyo!"

I laughed at her reaction. "What, I was just trying to be helpful."

"I would never ask for such information from you." Her eyes narrowed before a small smirk appeared on her face. "I would like to know the hertz though."

Feigning shock, I covered my mouth. " Momo Yaoyorozu, you naughty girl."

She raised an eye at me. "Don't you have somewhere to be?"

Laughing I started to close my door. "Yeah, yeah, see you later Momo… and thanks."

Nearly half an hour later Uraraka, Tsu, and myself found ourselves sitting in Hados room. Uraraka and Tsu were sitting with anticipation oozing out of them. I, on the other hand, was sitting calmly. Hado was sitting across from us with a huge smile.

"Hey girls, how's it going?"

The three of us looked at each other slightly confused, before Uraraka cleared her throat. "We're good, sorry that we came over right as soon as you got back."

Hado blinked at us with a puzzled expression. "What are you talking about? I did tell you to come over when I got back."

Uraraka nervously laughed. "Yeah, but it still feels odd not giving you any time to relax or unwind first."

"It's fine, don't worry. I wanted to talk to the three of you." Her smile returned as she looked at each of us. "Would the three of you like to meet Ryukyu? I can't promise that she'll take you on, but it never hurts to ask."

"Yes!" Instantaneously Uraraka blurted out her answer before covering her mouth embarrassed.

Hado laughed at her answers before turning to Tsu and myself. "What about you two."

Tsu nodded. "I'd like that. I originally wanted to do mine with Selkie, but the school turned that one down."

"Oh that stinks that they didn't allow your first pick. Hopefully Ryukyu doesn't say no as well." Hados eyes pierced me. "Your turn Jirou."

I stayed silent for a moment and looked at my phone. I told Momo I'd do whatever I wanted, but I honestly didn't know what I wanted right now.

"Hado… why did you make this offer to me?"

She looked at me perplexed. "Isn't it obvious?"

I shook my head. "Not at all. I've been thinking about it ever since you called and I haven't come up with any good reasons."

She gave me a smile and leaned forward. "Oh, well I did it because I felt like it and I wanted to get to know you more." Her answer stunned me. "Togata has Midoriya and I'm sure Amajiki will take someone with him. I didn't want to be left out so I decided I wanted to pick three."

"Huh… I guess sometimes the simplest answers are the right one." A soft smile spread across my face as she kept her eyes locked on me. "Well if that's the case it would be pretty rude of me-"

Just as I was about to give her my answer my phone started going off. The name displayed was Izuku. I looked back at Hado who gave me a nod letting me know it was ok to answer. Taking a deep breath I silently thanked her before answering.

"Hey Izuku, is everything alright?"

"Yeah, I just left Sir's place. I know you're probably with Hado right now, but I did promise to call when I left."

Shaking my head I laughed at him. "Well you're right about that, we're actually in the middle of talking right now."

"Ah, well I'll make this quick so you can get back to your talk. Sir took me on."

I felt my jaw drop. "Are you serious!?"

"Yeah, you could say I was pretty sirprised myself."

Shuddering, I rolled my eyes at the phone. "Seriously, a pun. I expected better from you."

"I didn't have much time to think of anything and that was the first thing that came."

"Whatever you say. So what now?"

"I start Monday morning, but I'll tell you everything when I get back. I love you."

"Alright, I love you too."

The other line on the phone went silent as I stared at the blank screen. Somehow he managed to pull it off. At this point I was almost certain there was nothing he couldn't do.

As I smiled at my phone Hado's voice brought me back. "What did he want Jirou?"

"He had his meeting at Nighteye Agency today and he promised he'd call when he left to let me know how it went."

Hado leaned forward with extreme curiosity. "Well how did it go?"

Squeezing my phone I forced a smile. "He got the work study."

Hado, Uraraka, and Tsu all lit up in excitement. I should be happy for him as well, but a part of me wished he hadn't gotten it. I was happy for him, but I was also worried that this would go extremely wrong. Choking back the feelings I had joined in on their excitement. After a few minutes everything calmed down again and all eyes fell back on me. I still needed to give Hado my answer.

Hados smile turned quizzical. "So do you want to try and do a work study as well? It's a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of work."

Squeezing my phone one last time I gave her a confident smile. "Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll sit this one out for now."

Uraraka and Tsu's jaws dropped in shock while Hado gave me a confused look. To no surprise Uraraka was the first to question my decision.

"Jirou, why?! This is a huge chance you're turning down!"

I gave her a shrug. "I wasn't planning on doing a work study at first anyways." Turning back to Hado I gave her another smile. "I really appreciate the offer, it means a lot, but there's something else I need to focus on now."

Hado smiled back. "Aww man, talk about a real bummer. Ryukyu was really looking forward to meeting you, but It's alright though, if you change your mind just let me know."

"Thanks Hado, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I know how Izuku gets when life turns hectic, so I'll be pretty busy myself."

A wave of relief washed over me. Hado, Tsu, and Uraraka all accepted the fact that I wasn't going to do a work study right now. I guess I was being paranoid thinking that people would get upset with my choice. Having taken care of this one thing had been taken off my mind, all that was left was Izuku. Since he got the work study I had a sinking suspicion that it was going to be another long night.

A/N:

Alright everyone, the poll has officially ended. Did I plan for a chapter to drop the night it ended? Hell yeah I did. I'll just go ahead and announce the winner along with the ship and a brief plot explanation. Also just a reminder this new story won't be posted until after this one completely finishes. If I tried doing two at the same time both of their writing would take a significant dive and we wouldn't want that.

The winner was Vigilante Izuku with the quirk Pyrokinesis. I'll be honest, calling Izuku a vigilante is a bit of a stretch, but I think it works. He's really a man on a quest for revenge and uses any means necessary to get his answers. As for the ship I'm sad to announce it's not an Izuku x Jirou. That being said it is one of my favorite ships and I think it is a great fit for the story (that being said I honestly could work and ship for this story but I'm choosing this one because I like it). Alright that's enough stalling the ship for this fic is…

Izuku x Kendo

Yes I this is one of my favorite ships and I'm sad there aren't many good stories in my opinion on fanfic sites. So this will be my contribution to them. Alright now it's time for the plot. Please enjoy and look forward to the next story.

Growing up Izuku Midoriya always wanted to be a hero. He was already off to a great start when his quirk manifested. His parents' quirks combined and he was able to completely control fire. He called his quirk Pyrokinesis. Everything was going great. He had a loving mother and father who both supported his dream. The only thing he wanted was to be a hero, until one fateful day.

It was a normal Saturday, just like any other. He was on his way home from playing with some of the neighborhood kids when he saw his house turned to rubble. He doesn't remember much from that day except his parents dying words, the smell of burning flesh, and the figure of a man walking away.

Eight years later he is living a relatively normal life. He was taken in by a Yakuza group and worked as motorcycle mechanic by day and at night he was doing whatever it took to find out who killed his parents. The only thing that seemed to stand in his was a ginger hair girl who was dead set on being a hero who happened to wander into the shop with her dad one day. Keeping up the facade of an average high schooler is tough when you're taking on any job that will get you info on the person who robbed you of a happy family.
