"Yeah Percy Jackson? Teenager, about this high, black hair, green eyes, reeeaaaally stupid?" I asked the police officer. She nodded before walking down the hall and out of sight, I sat down waiting for the officers to give me the all clear.

As I was waiting a large cop walked by me and froze "Hey do I know you from somewhere?" he asked curiously. I shrugged I have had a few dealings with the law in my life so it wasn't totally out of the realm of possibility that this cop may have arrested me before.

Come to think of it I do have a vague recollection of a guy that looked like him throwing me in a cruiser for punching him.

"Did you ever participate in our Ride Along program?" he asked curiously.

"...sort of?" I said unsure how to answer when the officer from before signaled me over. I got up and followed her down the hall into a small room. I nodded in thanks as I sat down at the table, a few seconds later the door opened and Percy walked in and his jaw dropped.

"Sam?!" he asked looking more confused than I'd ever seen him, I grinned as he sat down and the officer left. He looked at me still shocked "Why are you here in New York?!" he asked.

"First off it's nice to see you too Jackson." I huffed leaning back in my chair. I took a deep breath "Chiron wanted me to bail you out, which is actually good for me because I need your help anyway." I said before explaining my dreams including the dream about Jason dying.

Percy gulped hard "So the guy you were seeing through knew you were there?! Dude that's like beyond horrifying!" he exclaimed and I nodded in agreement. After I finished speaking he shook his head "Why do you need me? Also I kind of got stuff to do, you know like studying so I can go to college with Annabeth?!" he said to me.

I gave a tiny chuckle "Dude you're helping me otherwise I tell your mother about this." I said smiling smugly. Percy paled before sighing in defeat and nodding, "Great! I'll go pay your bail and then lets get you home!" I said walking out not listening to whatever Percy was saying as I left.

Twenty minutes later we were walking out of the precinct and we climbed into my car. Percy gave me the directions to his apartment, I parked in the street and I hopped out. As we were walking up the stairs Percy stopped me "So...I'm pretty sure my parents haven't met you...don't be...yourself around them." he requested.

I looked at him confused "The fuck are you talking about? I am perfectly pleasant!"

"You're an asshole."

"That too. Okay fine I'll be nice, let's just..." I made a gesture to the door and Percy opened it. We made it to his door and he opened it, I was immediately hit with the scent of fresh cookies.

"Ohhhhh fooooooood." I said hungrily as I pushed passed Percy and walked into the apartment.

Only to be immediately smacked in the head by a broom, I hit the ground hard and groaned as a pretty woman stood over me.

"Mom stop! This is Sam! He's a friend!" Percy explained so that the woman, I assume was Sally Jackson, lowered her cleaning weapon.

"Oh! I'm so sorry about that young man! I was frightened when I saw you and not Percy!" she rambled as I got up rubbing my nose, damn this lady has one hell of a swing!

I sat down "It's okay, been hit with worse." I said and that was when I noticed that Sally had a very...large...frame. She was pregnant alright! She's pregnant I didn't want to be rude but I didn't know what to say.

Percy sat on the couch across from me "So what do you need anyway. I figured you didn't bring me home out of the courtesy of your cold dead heart?" he asked with a grin.

I grinned too "No, what I need is you to help me deal with something kind of personal...though not really." I said still trying to figure out how to voice this.

"Huh?" Percy asked completely lost.

"Look remember that wolf guy I told you about?" I asked and he nodded "Well, he's on his way to Philadelphia to speak with one of the Gargarean generals and I'm hoping to intercept him. At the very least I need to speak with this Langdon guy and that means getting there before Wolf Guy kills him." I explained.

Percy sighed and scratched his head, he looked so tired "Why can't you just...I mean...ugh why me?!" he asked sounding exhausted.

"Because you have a goddamn hellhound and Shadow Travel is absolutely the fastest route." I said and Percy looked like he wanted to argue but in the end relented.

"Hey moooooom?" Percy yelled and Sally Jackson walked in looking ready to crack some skulls with that broom again. Percy looked over at her "Sam needs my help in Philadelphia, can I go?" he asked sounding like a whiny little kid.

She glared at me and I shrank in my seat, holy fuck this woman is terrifying when she is upset!

"Fine...but you better look after my son! If anything happens to him I replace the broom with a bat!" she threatened and I nodded silently. Okay now I'm rethinking having Percy along because wow, this woman means business, how can she go from sweet to deadly that fucking quickly!?

"I promise ma'am trust me if anyone is getting hurt it's probably going to be me." I said and even though that was a really weird thing to say she calmed down a little and nodded before returning to the kitchen.

Percy looked at me and let out a breath "So...Philly?"

"Philly." I said grinning as we quickly left the apartment, we reached the street and I quickly opened the trunk of my car and grabbed my whip. Can't forget that when going into dangerous territory now can I?

Percy whistled sharply and a couple seconds later we heard a very loud bark and a massive hellhound came bounding down the street. She slammed into cars and they went haywire but she didn't seem to care as she slammed into Percy and licked him.

"Down girl! Heel!" he shouted and she jumped off him and sat down on the sidewalk, her tail wagging so hard the car parked next to her flipped over.

"We should probably go before the cops arrest you again." I said and he nodded in agreement before leaning into Mrs. O'Learys ear and whispering where they were going.

"Okay she's ready, are you?" he asked and I nodded before grabbing onto her collar tightly. I closed my eyes and braced myself for the horrible feeling of Shadow Travel.

Then we dissolved into the shadows.
