"Fitzpatrick!" I screamed as I ran out the door, only to fall flat on my face. My leg felt like it was going to explode, fuck what was on that scalpel?! Kinzie ran to my side and helped me up, my leg throbbing along with my heart.

"Sam stop! Just wait a minute or two, let the Ambrosia heal your leg." she insisted as I leaned against the wall.

I sighed heavily, "I thought he needed help...I thought he was a scared kid who was being victimized, but he is in charge of the whole fucking thing!" I growled loudly as I lifted my leg so no weight was on it. Suddenly the door opened and this large bronze skinned guy walked into the hall. He was built like a tank and was wearing a research badge, he must have been a student who worked at the university or something.

"Hey, you guys okay?" he asked curiously as he walked up to us, Kinzie nodded before he glanced at her sword. Okay, so this kid was either a demigod or had clear sight, hard to tell which. He got a little closer "You look injured, here let me help you." he said as he grabbed my arm and wrapped it around his neck and we made our way to the stairs.

As we ventured down the stairwell Kinzie kept her hand on her sword, this guy was being suspiciously nice so I didn't blame her. We had just passed the mark for the third floor when he spoke again "What happened to you? You look like you got shot or something." he commented.

"Eh close, stabbed. By some nut case who goes here, you may know David Fitzpatrick." I said and the guy stopped moving, I glanced at him and he suddenly was glaring at me. It was then that I saw his badge up close, I could see the name written on it.

M. Copeland.

I looked up at him just as he threw me over the railing of the stairs, I only had time to gasp as my shoulder slammed into the concrete of the bottom floor. I groaned in pain as I felt my arm fall out of its socket, fucking hell why me!? I could hear Kinzie and Mason fighting above me as I slowly got to my feet, I felt my leg was a little better, enough to at least move on my own. I looked at the stairs and then at my busted arm, then at the wall in front of me, then like a total idiot I jumped and slammed my arm into wall, knocking it back in its socket.

"Fuck!" I screamed falling to my knees clutching my shoulder in pain. I got to my feet and quickly got up the stairs where Mason and Kinzie were evenly matched, however I could see the advantage was on Mason. He was holding his own against Kinzie without a sword, if he got his hands on her sword we'd be dead.

"Fitzpatrick will win! He told us about you! How you are corrupt and will do anything to win!" Mason shouted.

"Half right asshole!" I shouted as I flicked my wrist and the shadows formed into a sharp dagger, I hurled it at him and it lodged into his arm and then dissolved into nothing, leaving a deep gash. He howled in pain and pushed Kinzie away, I quickly ran up and tackled him against the wall. I threw him into the corner and pushed him against it with my foot "Listen to me! Fitzpatrick is a total psycho! He's a sociopathic megalomaniac who wants nothing more than death and destruction!" I shouted.

Mason huffed in disagreement before bringing his arms down on my leg and breaking free. He started punching me but I was able to dodge each hit and land a few hits of my own. Finally I had enough "Fine! Crazies always attract crazies anyway!" I shouted as I grabbed his fist and twisted it, he stumbled and I grabbed his head and slammed him into the railing before throwing him down the stairs. He grunted as he fell down a floor, I made my way down and grabbed him by his collar "Where is he?!" I demanded.

He spit out a bit of blood "Just kill me." he said clearly not willing to talk.

I chuckled "Do you think I won't? When I was younger the thought of killing disgusted me, not anymore, it's all about survival and the way I see it, you not being useful is getting in my way of survival. So make your choice, you want to keep breathing or you want me to go to the top of this stairwell and throw you down?!"

Mason looked me in the eyes and gulped "He's...he's in the arena. Mass recruiting, there's this whole event he organized. It's under the guise of military recruitment when in reality its for the Gargareans." he explained.

I grinned "Smart choice." I said before dropping him and letting him lay there in pain. Kinzie made her way down to where I was and glanced at the battered teenager in front of me.

"You think it's smart to leave him alive?" she asked.

"He isn't going anywhere anytime soon, besides we know where Fitzpatrick is and he has no way of warning him before we get there. Let's go." I said as I started down with Kinzie in tow.

We made it out of the building and started walking along the roads of the campus "We are going to go attack him in the middle of recruitment? Do you think that's smart? I mean we don't know how many guys he has defending him, especially now that he knows you're here." she said.

I nodded "I admit this isn't the smartest thing to do, but I am tired of this guy slipping away! I know where he is and I'm going to kill him here and now!" I said as a large arena loomed in the distance.

Kinzie looked like she wanted to argue but she learned a long time ago, when I'm pissed, not to argue. I felt my leg and no pain hit me, I then immediately took off in an all out sprint towards the arena. Kinzie kept pace with me as we fell into the shadow of the massive arena and then reached the doors.

I pulled them open and there was a large crowd in the outer areas of the building where food vendors were and such. I pushed my way through the crowd when Kinzie grabbed my arm and stopped me "Wait, we aren't going to let him escape but we can at least still have the element of surprise." she said pointing to my right.

I looked over and saw a door that said "Upper levels." and looked back at her "Drop in on him from above?" I asked and she nodded.

"Or at least get a birds eye view of the arena and find him in the crowd." she said and I agreed before we went to the door and walked in when no one was looking. We made our way up to the upper levels and finally we entered what looked like some sort of luxury box room. Maybe it's where announcers resided or something, at any rate I could see the entire center of the arena but there was an issue.

"We're too far, I can't make out any faces, there are too many people." I said looking at the vast number of students.

Kinzie nodded before she tapped my shoulder to get my attention. I turned to see her holding up what looked like a basketball uniform, a green jersey and shorts.

"Seriously, you want me to wear that as a disguise?" I said in disbelief.

She rolled her eyes "Oh, I'm sorry, please go right in there wearing your signature coat and looking like a total psycho. I'm sure he will not see you immediately like he would if you were dressed as a student player when he knows you don't go here and would totally overlook you." she said.

I glared at her before taking off my jacket "I hate you sometimes." I said as I grabbed the clothes and popped into a closet. I quickly changed and walked out feeling like...you know...I actually don't mind this look. Makes me feel pretty good as a matter fact.

Kinzie looked me up and down "You know you shouldn't cover up those guns, Hylla would love a show." she said giggling. I glanced at my arms, they were skinny but had very defined muscles from my training over the years.

"Can we focus on the task at hand please?" I asked blushing slightly.

"Right! Let's go kill a psychopath!"
