Finally reached the 40th chapter mark!

Despite the struggles, I still continue this story.

Victory through Remnant is just a big milestone for me. This is really my longest running story ever and will get more longer as time pass by.

You could say that this would be my own series. Many authors have created their own series that they have actually enjoyed making and mine isn't an exception, I have created something that would eventually my most known story that isn't a reaction.

Yes, Arc Music Album is the most well known but this story has a more longer history thay I have ever created. Victory through Remnant is literally my Victory Star of my account and would eventually shine brighter than my other stories.

RWBY is my great choice for a story base as I am completely more on reading so its great the Fandom wiki for RWBY has a way to make my work easier.

But enough for that, let's get right into the story.

Chapter:40 Conflict with Each Other

Nomad then took a breathe as he quickly turn around and punched Ozpin to the ground in anger.

He's not the only one, Team RWBY, Hunch, and U. Pichu were angered by this as they glared at the possessed boy as he has his face down,

"Salem can't be killed... you all heard her too, right?" Yang said in anger.

Ozpin looks up, with tears streaming down his face. Qrow just looks away.

"I-"

"There was so much you hadn't told us! How could you think that was okay?!" Yang yelled at him.

Ozpin doesn't say anything, he just hangs his head back down in shame.

"Professor..." Ruby called out to him as Ozpin look at her. "What is your plan to defeat Salem?"

"I... don't have one..." Ozpin said in shame.

He was then suddenly got punched by Qrow himself to the face, which sent Ozpin to a nearby tree trunk.

"No one wanted me... I was cursed... I gave my life to you because you gave me a place in this world... I thought I was finally doing some good..." Qrow said as he held back his anger.

"But, you are!" Ozpin said tearfully.

"Meeting you... was the worst luck of my life..." Qrow said as Ozpin stares back in disbelief upon hearing Qrow say that, before looking down dejected.

"Focus on your mission all you want, you just failed humanity as a whole including the Faunus," Nomad said as slowly calms down.

"Maybe the two of you are right..." Ozpin said as his eyes glow as control is transferred back to Oscar. He holds his cheek in pain from the effects of both Nomad's and Qrow's punches.

"What happened?" Ruby asked.

"He's... gone," Oscar could only say.

"That bastard! Tell him we're not done yet!" Yang cursed.

"No, this is different. He's gone. It-- It's like he's locked himself deep inside my head. Our head?" Oscar could only say as he hold his head in pain. "Ihate this! I want it to stop!"

"He just left us?" Weiss said in disbelief.

"What are we gonna do now?" Blake said as Yang growled.

"Enough! We need to get move on. It'll be dark before we know it, and every one of you is spewing negativity!" Maria said as she walk over to Oscar and helps him up with her cane. "There's a trail over there, trails usually lead somewhere."

"Lady, I don't know who you think you are but--"

Yang is cut off when Maria slammed her cane on the ground and said, "No buts! I understand that you're upset. Honestly, I'm still coming to terms with the fact that this is humanity's second time around. But, if we don't move, we die. And I'll be damned if I've lived this long just to die out here in the cold!"

"You just have to trust us. Maria wouldn't just lead us astray," Mel said as the Vulpix walk over between them.

"They're right. Come on," Ruby ordered as everyone grabs their belongings and whatever Dust they can carry with them. Maria sits on Bumblebee as Yang walks her bike while Mel stood by Nomad with U. Pichu on his shoulder, and the Vulpix followed Weiss. Ruby walks over to Oscar and hands over the handle of his cane.

Oscar grabbed the cane and said, "I'm just going to be another one of his lives, aren't I?"

Ruby then put her hand on his and said, "Of course not. You're your own person."

"Don't lie to him, Ruby," Qrow said as he drank from his flask. "We're better than that."

Ruby and Oscar look down sadly before walking to join the others.

In the Land of Darkness, five Nevermores are perched on a rocky outcropping with large purple crystals. They fly away when an airship flies by them heading towards a large purple structure in the distance. The airship lowers down to an outcropping that serves as a dock, and Hazel, Mercury, and Emerald hop out. As they proceed forward, they notice Tyrian leaning against the entrance at the bottom of the stairs. His scorpion tail now has a spiked, metal tip covering it from where it was cut off.

Tyrian laughs and said, "Welcome back, welcome back! I do hope you missed us as much as we missed you."

Emerald and Mercury glared at him.

"Let's go," Hazel said as he and the two teens proceeds to walk pass Tyrian.

"Speaking of which, where is our Fall Maiden?" Tyrian asked as Emerald stops upon hearing this, prompting Tyrian to giggle, causing Emerald to growl.

"Emerald come on," Mercury called out to her.

"Don't tell me something happened to her?" The Scorpion Faunus said mockingly as he laughs.

Emerald turns around as she drew her weapons at Tyrian and said, "I will cut off more than just your tail."

Tyrian chuckles as he slowly walks towards Emerald and said, "Careful, little girl. Cinder isn't here to protect you anymore."

Tyrian gets close to Emerald's face, causing her to back away. Tyrian intentionally cuts his cheek with the blade of Emerald's weapon. Emerald has a disturbed expression on her face upon seeing this, and Mercury steps up to hold Emerald's shoulder and scare Tyrian away from her.

"Back off, freak," Mercury said with a glare.

"Oh, don't misunderstand, I am in mourning just as you. Because it appears you've failed our Queen, and that is a tragedy," Tyrian said.

A moment later, Tyrian drops his sympathetic facade and starts to laugh maniacally. Mercury looks back at him in disgust while Emerald has a fearful expression on her face. The two of them and Hazel turn around to proceed up the stairs as Tyrian continues laughing.

Unbeknownst to them, the same pair of black eyes kept following them inside the castle while other pairs of eyes watch from the outside.

In the meeting room, Salem opens her eyes and glares at her subordinates. Tyrian and Arthur are seen fearfully sitting at the table while Hazel, Emerald and Mercury are kneeling at the other end of the room.

"I would like you to explain to me... how it is you failed so spectacularly?" Salem asked them with her anger held back.

"The Faunus Militia split our forces--"

"Stop," Salem cut Hazel off as he remains silent with a fearful expression on his face. "Let me rephrase the question - who is responsible for your defeat?"

Emerald and Mercury stay kneeling as Hazel stands up to give his answer. Salem listens intently.

"I take full responsibility," Hazel said.

Suddenly, Salem flips the table over, knocking Tyrian off his chair. Watts hastily stands up from his seat and backs away. They could hear laughter but they don't know where it came from, but Salem didn't care.

"But that wouldn't be fair now, would it?! We all know who's truly to blame..." Salem said in anger.

Salem walks forward and menacingly holds her hand out in front of her.

"I don't--"

Salem motions her hand, and a glyph with her symbol appears underneath Hazel. Multiple Grimm arms come out from it and grab Hazel, forcing him down on all fours and suffocating him.

"Emerald..." Salem then looks over to Emerald, who is still staring down with a fearful expression. "I want you to tell me whose fault this was."

Salem slowly walks over to Emerald as she breathes heavily.

"Now," Salem ordered as Emerald closes her eyes in fear.

"Cinder! We failed because of Cinder..."

"That's right," Salem said as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "I want you to understand that failure. I want you to understand why Cinder must be left to toil in her isolation until she redeems herself."

Salem walks away from Emerald. Both her and Mercury look up in surprise.

"You mean--"

"She's alive?" Emerald said with hope.

"You're joking, how could you know that?" Arthur questioned.

"Are you questioning our divine savior?!" Tyrian yelled at the scientists as Arthur reeled back.

"I..." Salem looks over to Watts and glares at him as he nervously chuckles and said, "Of course not, forgive me."

Salem proceeds to address her subordinates.

"It's important not to lose sight of what drives us: Love, justice, reverence... but the moment you put your desires beforemyown... they will be lost to you."

Salem releases Hazel from her grasp and walks back to the other side of the room. Hazel catches his breath.

"This isn't a threat, this is simply the truth. The path to your desires is only found... through me," Salem said as she turned her head to glare at them.

Hazel stands back up, Tyrian lets out a small chuckles, and Watts straigtens his coat. Salem looks outside the window and watches the Nevermores fly before looking down while the unknown laughter appeared again which added the feeling of horror in the lands.

"And so we must press on," Salem said as she turn around to everyone. "The Sword under Vacuo's academy, Shade--"

"Ma'am," Hazel cut in. "I have... more to report."

Salem glares at Hazel for interrupting her, and has the Grimm arms ready under him. Hazel looks down at them in fear before explaining himself.

"Qrow and the children are taking the Lamp to Atlas," Hazel said as Tyrian laughs.

"Not if I can help it," The Scorpion Faunus boasts.

"And they're being led... by Ozpin," Hazel added.

At this, everyone slowly looks toward Salem with fearful expressions on their faces, the mysterious laughter stops, and Mercury notices the windows starting to crack.

"So soon?" Tyrian said in worry.

"He's the only man with a chance of getting through to Ironwood. If that happens..."

Watts suddenly stops as he and everyone else notice the windows cracking. They then look at Salem, and dark smoke emanates from her.

"Leave," Salem said in anger.

"Your Grace, I can..."

Salem glares at Tyrian, causing him to reel back. Emerald looks on in fear before Hazel puts a hand on her shoulder.

"Come on," Hazel said.

Everyone quickly proceeds to exit the room as the windows start to crack even more. Emerald takes one last look behind her as the doors close. Salem, left alone, seethes with anger before calming herself down. Everything is seemingly quiet, but then all of a sudden, Salem yells out in rage and the windows shatter violently as multiple yelps of fear were heard everywhere outside.

Back in the snow, Team RWBY, Qrow, Oscar, Maria, Nomad, Mel, Hunch, the Alolan Vulpix, and U. Pichu proceed on the trail. The snow starts to pick up even more.

Qrow sighs and said, "Doesn't look like this is gonna let up."

"Just wanna get this stupid Relic to Atlas," Blake said in annoyance.

"This is like the Crown Tundra all over again," Nomad complained as he rub his arms while U. Pichu went inside his shirt.

"Let's hope we don't have to walk all the way there," Weiss said.

"I thought trails led somewhere," Yang said sarcastically to Maria.

"Do you have nothing better to do than to harass a defenseless old lady?" Maria questioned the blonde girl.

"Can we just get out of this storm," Mel said as he shivered while the Vulpix wasn't even fazed from the cold.

"Everyone, quiet. Do you hear that?" Ruby said to them.

Everyone stops in their tracks. A metallic squeaking can be heard. A large farm can be seen, one of the front gates swings back and forth with the wind. A large sign above the entrance reads "BRUNSWICK FARMS". Everyone arrives at the gate.

"Well, at least one good thing happened today," Blake said.

"No kidding, just the chance of this happening," Nomad said.

"It looks abandoned," Weiss said.

"It's still better than this," Ruby said.

"Let just get in," Mel said as he began to shiver.

" Well come on then, I think we could all use some rest," Qrow said as everyone proceeds through the farm's gates, with Qrow and Hunch being the last to enter. The snow starts to pick up even more as the gate is heard closing with a metallic clang.

Omake:

Tale of Two Champions

In some ruins in the Emerald Forest, Seier runs through with both Prophecy and Vision behind her back.

When she stopped in a convenient empty area, a wave of Grimms charge at her as shethen drew both her weapons.

As the creature of darkness charge at her, Seier fired a burst of bullets to a Beowolf as her eyes quickly glowed and slashed a Boarbatusk right through its skull with ease. Seier quickly jump to the air with the corpse acting as a platform before it disappears. She then fired her both weapons downwards to gain some air time along with some hits on the Grimms below.

As an Ursa was about to lunge right at her, but it was quickly got incinerated.

Seier look to where it came from and saw that it was her husband, Shori with his weapon Fury.

"What are you doing here?!" Seier called out to him as she duck over a lunging Beowolf and bisect it at its chest.

"Do you really think that I would leave you alone for this!" He said as he grab a Boarbatusk by its tusk with the hook blade on his weapon, and proceeds to kick it right at its face before incinerating it.

"Then who's taking care of Nozomu?!"

"I sent her to Tai!" He then grab a Beowolf by its neck with his weapon and threw them to a group of Grimms with ease. "I send her to him because I know my own wife would go this far after that incident!"

Seier could only click her tongue as she quickly jump over a charging Boarbatusk and fired another burst of bullets at its feet when she lands.

"Are you sure that she will be safe?!" Seier said as puncture through the Grimms armor with the blades of her weapon.

"Tai is former hunter Seier! Let's just beat this guys already!" Shori then distance himself from a Beowolf as he then grab it by the neck with his hook blade and easily threw it to another Grimm. "I don't want to talk when there's a horde just around us!"

The couple then fight along with each other in sync as Shori would toss some Grimms in the air for Seier to shot while Seier would incapacitate the Grimms and Shori would burn them to ashes. When they are close with each other, Shori would heal her. When they are further away with each other, Seier would then give covering fire for him. There dance of bullets and flames would then end when they finally finish off the last Grimm with a shot from Seier.

The two then sigh as the look at each other and Seier look at her husband and punched her at his shoulder.

"While I did appreciate your help, you shouldn't have followed me," Seier said at him.

"Dear, you shouldn't do this by yourself. Yes, our encounter with him is bad, but think about our daughter when she ever thought of what happened to her mother," Shori said as Seier flinches and looks down to the ground.

"I... I need to do this," Seier said.

"I know but let me help you, we didn't fell in love for just one of us to die," Shori said as he raised his wife's face by her chin so he could see her beautiful eyes. "You are never alone because I'm with you."

Seier could only stare at him as she began to tear up and hug him, and Shori happily returned.

"Now let's take that quack down," Shori said as Seier smiled.

The two then walk away from the ruins and began to run to their next destination.

Boy did this Omake take kinda long.

This would another series of Omakes alongside Pokemon Study, Creature of the Black Lake, and the VTR Version of RWBY Chibis.

Speaking of that series, it has been a long time that I made one, so I am making another Chibi Omake next chapter.

On a side note, I really appreciate that you guys would continue to read this story, and I hope you will in the future. I really plan this story out unlike my other stories as I really didn't quickly add them in the story.

I work in the story in advance since the day I discovered the RWBY Fandom have transcripts on all of their episodes, and have now as I keep going.

I kinda also want to give my story a two week update since its kinda going very fast, but I'll cross that bridge later.
