Chapter 32 - A place for my Head
[Opening - God save the Queen]
Chester sits opposite Blue Cult at the table. He picks up his deck of cards and examines them closely, his eyes dashing from one card to the next. Blue Cult sits crossed leg, keeping his cards where they are. Adam stands beside Chester, looking over his shoulder. "Chester. Are you sure this is a good idea?" Adam asks, his tone sounding concerned. Chester continues to read his cards. "Relax Adam. For a dead guy, you sure have a lot of worries." Adam raises his brow at the comment. "Because you put your life at stake over a game of Yu-Gi-Oh. I mean, when was the last time you played?" Chester puts his cards down, "I think I fell out before secondary, but it should be fine. I chose the old rules for that reason."
Blue Cult steps in, "It's too late to go back on it now." Blue Cult reaches over and picks up Chester's deck of cards. He takes them in his hands and shuffles them. Chester does the same with Cult's cards. They put the decks back down and draw their starting hand. "Should we keep it to 8000, or are you in a hurry?" Blue Cult asks, sounding confident in their tone. "8000 is fine. The hospital bed is comfy enough." Chester retorts, much to Blue Cult's annoyance. "Then let us begin already."

"I'll take the first turn. Because of the rules, I can draw for the turn. I'll put one monster from my hand face-down, and then do the same with a non-monster in the back row." Chester started the game with a basic board of a monster and a trap. "My turn. I activate the spell card, Change of Heart. I use it to take control of your face-down monster." Chester's eyes widen as his Man-Eater Bug is taken from him. "Now, I will tribute it to summon Jinzo from my hand." Chester clenches his fist under the table. Adam takes notice. "What? Is that bad?" Chester sits up in his chair, "Jinzo is a monster that prevents the activation of trap cards. It's a really strong card." Blue Cult laughs, "Exactly. Now I will attack you directly with Jinzo. You'll take 2400 damage." [Chester LP 8000 - 5600] "I'll end my turn with one face-down."
"Now that it's my turn again, I draw." Chester examines the cards in his hand and starts to formulate a plan. "I activate Graceful Charity. I draw 3 cards, and then discard 2." Chester draws from his deck. His lip twitches a little before choosing his cards. "I discard these 2 cards." Chester discards a trap card and a monster with a high level. "Now I activate the Ritual Spell Black Luster Ritual. I send a monster with a level equal to a ritual monster to summon it. I use the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my hand to summon Black Luster Soldier." Blue Cult has an amused look on his face from the play. "I'll attack Jinzo with Black Luster Soldier." The attack destroyed Jinzo and did some damage. [Blue LP 8000 - 7400]
"With Jinzo no longer on my field, I can use my trap card, Jar of Greed to draw 1 card." Chester ends his turn. "My turn. I will set 1 monster face-down, and 1 card in my spell/trap zone, before I end my turn." Adam looks at the game board, then the cards in Chester's hand, a thought occurred to him. "I have no idea what's going on." He rubs the back of his head while watching the game, "At least Chester knows what he's doing. I think..."
It's Chester's turn again, he draws another card from his deck. "I will normal summon Kaiser Sea Horse in attack mode. Then I will attack with Black Luster Soldier." Blue Cult flips his face-down monster face-up, it was Cyber Jar. "No!" Chester exclaims. Adam looks both confused and concerned. "What!" He asks, looking at the cards. "When Cyber Jar is flipped up, all monsters are destroyed." Both Chester and Blue Cult put their monsters into the graveyard, then draw 5 cards. "Because of my Cyber Jar's effect, I will special summon Giant Soldier of Stone, King of the Swamp, and Skelengel in face-down defense."
Chester draws his 5 cards and sees he pulled another Blue-Eyes White Dragon. "With Cyber Jar, I will special summon Vorse Raider, Neo the Magical Swordsman, and Dunames Dark Witch." Chester managed to summon 3 fairly decent monsters to match Blue Cult. "With Dark Witch and Vorse I will attack Skelengel and King of the Swamp." Blue Cult did not take any damage from the attack. With the effect of Skelengel, Blue Cult draws another card. Chester plays another card face-down in the back row and ends his turn. "My turn again. And the last one I need. I activate Raigeki, to destroy all monsters you control."

Chester has no remaining monsters left. "Now, I activate cost-down, I discard a card to reduce all monsters in my hand by 2 levels. Allowing me to tribute my soldier of stone to summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon." Adam puts his hand on Chester's shoulder. "Chester...are you about to lose?" Chester doesn't answer him, choosing to remain silent. "I activate the spell, Inferno Fire Blast. You take damage equal to Red-Eyes's attack points. In exchange, it cannot attack this turn." [Chester LP 5600 - 3200] "With another spell card from my hand, I activate monster reborn to revive King of the Swamp. It's a monster that can pretend to be any monster for a fusion summon. Now I use Polymerization to fuse my 2 monsters to summon the Black Skull Dragon."
"That monster has the exact amount of attack to beat Chester!" Adam comments allowed, holding his hands in front of his mouth. "This doesn't look good." "No, it's not good. Because now I will attack Chester with my dragon." Chester grabs one of his face-down cards. "You triggered my trap, Mirror Force. It destroys all of your attack position monsters." Blue Cult bites his lip. "That's fine, because with my trap, Call of the Haunted, I revive my dragon. It's over Mr. Park!" Chester grabs his second card, "I activate Shrink. This cuts your monster's attack in half." [Chester LP 3200 - 1600]
"Did you forget I revealed it with Cyber Jar?" Chester jokes, wiping the sweat from his forehead. He turns to Adam, "Good work playing along with the panicking act. I needed him to think I was done for." Adam looks dumbfounded, unaware that it was a trap. "Just hurry up and make your move!" Blue Cult snaps out, sitting cross-armed in his chair, biting down on his lip. "Okay, my turn. I activate the spell, Pot of Greed." Adam tilts his head to look at the card. "What does that do?" "It allows me to draw 2 cards." Chester draws more cards, making his hand 5. "I activate Tribute to the Doomed. I discard Blue-Eyes in my hand to destroy your dragon." Blue Cult's lip starts to bleed.
"It's my turn to end this game. I activate Soul Release. I remove 3 monsters from my graveyard." Blue Cult watches as Chester removes exactly 3 copies of Blue-Eyes White Dragon from his graveyard. "Next, I activate Spell Economics, so I don't need to pay for Spell cards like this one, Dimension Fusion!" Blue Cult gasps, drops of blood are splat out onto the game board. "I can special summon all three of my Blue-Eyes White Dragons. Together, they attack with a total of 9000 damage." Chester stands up from his chair. "I attack you directly for game." [Blue Cult LP 7600 - 0] Blue Cult falls back in their chair.
"Told you I would win." Chester extends his hand out for a high five with Adam. In turn, he catches their hand and pulls them in for a hug. "Never a doubt," Adam claims. Blue Cult picks themself off the floor. He stares the two down with a bloody lip and bloodshot eyes. He charges for the pair. Adam turns around at the charging lunatic and swings their arm. He punches him in the face with enough force to knock him on his back, as well as break his nose.
As Blue Cult lays there, the Skull in the clouds drips down from the sky into the table. The table turns from a white marble into an oak wood as it changes its shape. Blue Cult disappears from their sight as the table takes the shape of a door. Adam's body starts to glow a gold color. Its shine gets in Chester's eyes, and he's forced to cover his face with his hand, "What's happening?" Adam looks around until he spots an opening in the clouds with a light emanating from them, leaving a spotlight around him. "It looks like I can finally pass on." The room falls quiet. "I always thought I'd be more afraid, yet this is actually quite comforting." Adam's body starts to hover off the ground, moving towards the light. "Wait. Adam." Chester gets his attention by calling out. "I just need to say...I'm sorry. I was the one that got you killed. I just want you to know that..." Adam cuts him off, "Our job always had the risk of death, it was not on you. But you can make it up to me." Chester lifts his head, "How?" He asks, watching Adam's body turn into a golden mist.

The doctor's of the Zeppeli foundation huddle around Chester's body as he lays in his hospital bed. The monitors in the room are going crazy with alarms as the vitals appear to show that Chester has flatlined. "We're losing him!" One of the doctors calls out. "Get the.." They are cut mid-sentence as Chester springs up awake, now sitting up on the bed. His body is completely recovered, and the monitors are displaying his heart rate as normal. The doctors just stand there and stare at him as he sits there in bed. Chester doesn't waste any time and rips the wires off his body, and leaps out of bed. He walks over to the door like he has something to accomplish. "Wait, Mr. Park...you're..." One of the doctors calls out to him as he leaves through the door.
Chester looks around the hallway, feeling himself being drawn to the room next door to his. He stands in front of the door to a supply closet. He grabs the door and swings it wide open, revealing Blue Cult sitting up on the floor with a bloody lip and broken nose. The sudden appearance of a naked Chester scares him at his sudden appearance. "Wait wait! You won! I healed you as I promised."
Chester just stands there and stares him down. A smile is drawn on his face. "It's my turn. I summon Hybrid Theory in attack mode." Chester calls his Stand to his side, one of their arms wrapped around his shoulder as it casually stands beside him. Blue Cult starts to panic, holding their hands up shaking them, "Wait, no." "With no monsters on your field, I attack you directly for the game." Hybrid Theory unhooks their arm from his shoulder and jumps towards Blue Cult. It starts to unleash a barrage of punches that hit him all over his body. "Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta! Gotta!" With the last punch from Hybrid Theory, Blue Cult's beaten body crashes through the wall behind him. Chester turns his back to him to look cool. "Got-ta hell!"
