Anger Management
Chapter 136th
Sometime later...
Doctor Alan Gelfand had finally arrived at Bethesda hospital after flying in the Apache helicopter. He had taken a deep breath before moving out after the rotary blades had stopped moving. Even though the pilot was going to take off again heading back to his home base.
With the escort waiting for the doctor up onto the roof. They had advised that his patient has woken to really surprised him. Since this was unbelievable. He needed to run a series of tests on Gibbs checking his brain function with Doctor Cyril Taft to agree to it.
Taking the elevator down to the tenth floor with checking in with the ICU nurse's station. The one doctor he needed to speak to was available standing at the desk reading no doubt Special Agent Gibbs medical file.
"Doctor Cyril Taft I am Doctor Gelfind from the U.S.S. Daniel Webster." he said with a handshake coming from the specialist.
"Doctor Gelfand thank you for coming, I know that you have heard the news. However, I need you still with needing to run a series of tests?" he said with giving him the file to read with Doctor Gelfand placing on his glasses.
Taking a few moments to read everything without having to miss anything at all. "When do you think that the tests will need to be taken Doctor Taft?" he needed to ask with the importance of the question.
"As soon as possible Doctor Gelfand since he's still able to stay awake?" he exclaimed.
"Can I speak with him first going to his room? by the way is his wife Loreile with him?" he responded with waiting for Taft to answer him.
"Yes to both questions Doctor Gelfand." Taft quipped.
Moments later both Doctors had reached Gibbs's room knocking before walking in seeing Loreile sitting in a chair watching TV with her husband.
"Hey, Doc! Long time no see?" Gibbs needed to say with sitting up in his bed with the remote in his hand scanning the channels until he found a Clark Gable movie one of his earliest.
"It's nice to see you to Special Agent Gibbs. I came all the way from the U.S.S. Daniel Webster." he said.
"I know it well!" Gibbs joked slightly.
"I wouldn't know either Jethro. Even though I have heard about it a great deal over the years." Loreile needed to say to her husband.
"Believe me I remember some of it with hearing Tony talking to me along with seeing one of my visions once again and I told Mike to shut up already and Cyril didn't know who I was talking to at the moment."
"I don't understand about any visions. But I have heard stories over the years from my patients telling me the same thing about seeing friends, wives, and a number of others talking to them. So Gibbs I can relate to what you're saying in the first place. Tell me something have you have seen any other visions of late?" Doctor Gelfand needed to say to them in the room.
Shaking his head. "Yeah, I have with seeing Diane and Mike Franks, including seeing a serial killer named Ari having killed an agent of mine named Kate Todd being killed in her second year as an NCIS agent after working for the secret service with protecting the president of the United States."
"Wasn't Agent Todd shot in the head by Ari, Jethro?" Loreile needed to say to her husband seeing the grimace in his face with the memory.
"Yes, she was and I was with Tony were there when it happened. I suffered the most since I tried protecting her when he shot her on the roof." Gibbs needed to say with a slight tear falling down his cheek.
"I know this was none of my business. But did you have any romantic feelings for the agent?" she had to ask with her curiosity working overdrive.
"No. But I know Tony was interested in her. Even though she keeps pushing him away until he had gotten sick with the plaque. It was always hard for me after she had died trying to cope with her death. Even though her sister a therapist tried to get me to admit how hard seeing her die on that roof as part of the protection detail to keep me safe for the most part."
"I am truly sorry about it Jethro. It always seems that if you weren't working for NCIS, there was always a chance that nothing like this would have happened in the first place?" she needed to have said to him with the shaking of his head in disgust.
"I have always been through this in one of many visions I had with talking to my ghosts in regard to what my life would have been like if I didn't kill Pedro Hernandez in the first place. From what I was told I would of no doubt died while on deployment overseas." Gibbs replied with the truth of the matter.
"Pedro Hernandez has always been the key in your life and every other Cartel leader you're dealt with and including his own son Alejandro Riveria to do the most damage to your ego and other mental issues?" Loreile had dealt him a blow talking about Alejandro Riveria.
"Stop already Loreile! I just wanted to kill Riveria years ago in Mexico. However, I was able to do anything about it with Riveria hiding once the security patrols had arrived at his mansion.
"I will stop to let Doctor Gelfand take a good look at you now with needing to take it easy after waking. One thing for sure you're a lucky man to be alive once again?" she commented with bending down to kiss him on his cry, chapped lips.
She was getting ready to turn and leave. "I love you, Leroy Jethro Gibbs!" she recited with opening the door to walk out.
