Chapter 144th
Kasie Heines when she arrived at her apartment. She had decided to change into a purple cotton dress for the evening. Even though she had no idea where it's going to lead.
Moving into the bedroom to pack her go-bag as well. She gathered up the essentials that were going to be needed for the most part. Though she had a discussion with Jimmy about when they will be able to head for the next level of their relationship.
She was nervous thinking about it. Since she really didn't need to change the dynamics of their friendship as well. Fixing her hair placing it into a bun with a butterfly clip into place.
She changed herself into the mirror thinking about Loreile and the pain she was suffering from the delivery of her third son. And yet she had mentioned that Gibbs wants a fourth and final child for the family.
It's amazing for a man like Gibbs to be so fertile for the most part. Especially after having a reputation for years with the ladies.
Grabbing her go-bag after checking that she had all of her money, debit, and credit cards in case they decide to go out and have dinner.
Placing on her black velvet coat she had brought from the same boutique for where she had brought the dress for Gibbs second wedding ceremony at the Naval Yards lake. She had turned out the lights in the apartment making sure the door was locked even though she didn't have any valuables to steal.
Doctor Cyril Taft had given Gibbs permission with a nurse to bring him to the nursery in the maternity ward. Even though it was too late to see Loreile at the late hour.
He had followed him to the nursery just for the hell of it and mostly to watch Gibbs expression on his third son. Daniel arrived at the strangest of times for everyone. Especially when she had spent three months in Nevada at the safe house.
He watched the nurse bring over the baby into Gibbs's arms sitting in the rocking chair dressed in the blue gown, cap, and gloves to be really funny watching his friend. He was thinking that maybe he will see if Loreile wanted any visitors at this hour. He will call the nurse's station to speak with the shift supervisor.
Calling the number Supervisory nurse Anna Gellins spoke to the doctor chuckling slightly at his request. "I am sorry Doctor I can't let it happened with the lateness. Mrs. Gibbs needs her rest after a hard delivery. Maybe in the morning, Okay?" she noted with Taft hanging up the cell phone connection with his request being turned down.
After ten minutes with Daniel. It was now time to head back to his room to rest as well. He was able to explain that the supervisory nurse had turned him down.
"It's alright Doc. I will see my wife tomorrow. She needs her beauty rest after watching the delivery and how hard it was for her?" Gibbs noted.
"Okay buster let's get you back to your room also needing your beauty rest!" he had to say to his friend.
Gibbs watched the doctor leave the room to head elsewhere. His cell phone was sitting on the table next to him as he grabs it to call his wife. Even though she might not be in a mood to speak with him.
Bringing up the number onto the screen he pressed the send button.
Loreile was having a hard time trying to sleep with the pain down below. When all of a sudden at 10.30 P.M. to see her husband's name on the screen. She slightly smiled with answering the call.
"Jethro do you realize just how late it is?" she played with him for the moment.
"Of course I know what time it is Loreile. Doctor Taft said that the supervisor on the maternity floor refused to have me come to see you?" he said with annoyance in his demeanor.
"I heard. I don't think it was right of her to be saying that in the first place?" Loreile cried out. "So what's on you're mind?" she will ask him.
"I just wanted to find out how my wife is feeling along with the fact that Daniel is such a beautiful baby we have?" he says with pride in his tone.
"I have pain still down below after having Daniel. Otherwise, I will be fine when I finally get home tomorrow. I understand that Doctor Taft is going to release you the day after tomorrow?"
"Yes, he is Loriele and I will be damn glad to be home and my family." he snapped back with his emotions.
"I know you are Jethro as with myself. Hopefully, we will be able to take another one of those long vacations with our family and spend some of that money we won at the casinos?" she responded with a chuckle.
"I will agree with you on that point of it along with submitting the paperwork for the NCIS Acamedy with Director Lowry," he said to have Loreile completely surprise with his statement.
"I will have to say Jethro that it's about god damn time you're made the decision after all of the pain and suffering you're been through the past 34 plus years?" she commented with Gibbs agreeing as well with needing to say the following...
"I love you Lt. Loreile Ann Baskins Gibbs!" he said with strong emotion.
"Likewise Jethro, I love you as well. Now can I try and get some sleep with Daniel to be coming in the morning?" she noted.
"Of course you can with needing you're beauty sleep as with myself. I could use more of that special cream to be used under my eyes?" he asks.
"I will be sure to buy some for you when we both are home at the house?" she hangs up the phone to try and get some sleep finally feeling slightly better.
