Chapter 146th
Special Agent Gibbs had been getting prepped for his double pass surgery with Doctor Taft, Doctor Sinclair and another specialist on staff will be helping out. While Doctor Edleman an anesthesiologist will be keeping watch of his breathing with the oxygen mask over his face right now.
Meanwhile with Loriele in her own room was told to stay in bed while she will be waiting for any results on her husband's operation. She had been concerned for the most part ever since she had visited him after delivering Daniel.
Doctor Cyril Taft had arrived after finishing up his work on another patient only next door letting his assistant finish up with the closing of his chest. One of his nurses had placed a blue mask over his face showing him the updated EKG and X RAYS on his friend's chest.
He was shaking his head with what he wasn't liking at all. While Doctor Sinclair had been ready as he was conferring with the anesthesiologist inside making sure all was well with the patient.
"Is there a problem Cyril?" Doctor Andy Sinclair needed to say to his friend before beginning.
"There seems to be a dark spot here and I just don't know what's it's supposed to be?" he asks with a serious demeanor.
"No doubt we will be finding out when we begin the operation with the double bypass?" Doctor Sinclair commented with his piece of mind for the moment.
"Let's get this started now? Since I don't wish to have Gibbs on the table too long?" Taft exclaimed with a deep breath.
Doctor Jimmy Palmer had decided to call the hospital in order to find out about Special Agent Gibbs's condition. He was given the news that he had been taken into surgery for a double by-pass making Palmer extremely upset at the news.
Meanwhile, Kasie had finished up eating her dinner with the Meatloaf. She had been listening to Jimmy speaking to the hospital representative. "Thank you for all of your help." Jimmy had to say over the phone before hanging up the phone.
"So how is Gibbs?" Kasie needed to have asked with getting up from her chair at the table with Palmer standing straight rod with his appearance. She walked into his embrace to emotionally support him.
"There is no word Kasie with Gibbs is in surgery having a double by-pass. It was a complete surprise for everyone and including Loreile unable to see him since she is stuck in bed as well after having Daniel?" he noted with kissing the bridge of her nose for now.
"I just can't believe this Jimmy that Gibbs and Loreile have to endure so much since they had first met each other at the SECNAV celebration? Kasie had sat down again to wait.
"I have an idea Kasie. How about we head for the hospital to visit Loreile. I know it's late. I am wondering whether they will let us up to the floor to see her in maternity and then the waiting room on the floor that Special Agent Gibbs is being operated?" he will say.
"It's fine by me Jimmy, Especially when the both of them are very important to us?" she exclaimed with her emotions over spilling.
OPERATING ROOM
Doctor Cyril Taft had removed the matter that was inside his chest cavity that won't be causing any further issues with his patient's breathing. Otherwise, he had been working on repairing both valves before closing up taking another hour.
Doctor Sinclair continued to check his vitals until all of a sudden...
They had to bring over the crash cart with Special Agent Gibbs heart going into cardiac arrest. Setting the device with the paddles setting it at 350 megajoules to zap his chest three times while coming back to normal and a number of deep breaths from everyone.
"He's back Doctor Taft?" Doctor Sinclair needed to say with everyone going back to work with closing the patient up.
"Thank you, Gibbs, for wanting to live?" he cries out.
His team chuckled slightly since they knew him really well. "Let's get him to recovery and then ICU?" HE HAD TO SAY TO HIS TEAM. While letting Doctor Sinclair finish up with closing.
He was going to wash up and changed to let Loreile know about her husband's surgery down in maternity. But first, he needed to check in the waiting room on whether any of Gibbs's friends were waiting for news.
When he had arrived to find Doctor Palmer and Kasie Heines having arrived moments earlier. Both of them had gotten up to speak with Doctor Taft. "How is Gibbs, Doctor Taft?"
"He's going to be alright Doctor Palmer. We were able to do the double by-pass. However, we did have a slight scare for when Gibbs's heart had gone into cardiac arrest. But I was able to zap his heart three times. He's going to be going into recovery for an hour before moving him to ICU cardiac unit."
"Thank god!" in unison by Doctor Palmer and Kasie Heines.
"Excuse me I am going to speak with Loreile in Maternity anxious to know about her husband's condition," Doc said to the both of them happy with the results of their friend's health.
He walked out with both Palmer and Heines to sit down for a few moments before leaving for his home again to finish up their evening.
Loreile was never so thrilled to see Doctor Cyril Taft give her the good news in regard to her husband's health after the by-pass.
"He's going to be just fine Loreile. That's if he's going to be able to follow his doctor's orders to take it easy for a while?" he noted with Loreile chuckling slightly with the lateness of the hour.
"How long do you think my husband is going to be staying in the hospital this time alone Doc?" she had a serious tone this time with asking the question.
