Anger Management
Chapter 153th
Doctor Syndey Mills had been waiting for the helicopter to be arriving on the rooftop of the hospital. It was windy as hell. He was wondering whether the helicopter will be able to land.
He was able to see the helicopter with the searchlights in the west arriving with his patients. Moving back with the technicians with the stretchers to take them down to the two operating rooms on standby.
It was amazing how large this particular had looked to him as the blades had stopped in order for everyone to move out.
McGee had moved out first to watch Gibbs and Rick being brought out with Jerone following behind.
Gibbs was being placed quickly onto the stretcher as with Jerome being covered. Doctor Mills asks one of the representatives to show McGee the waiting room on the tenth floor.
McGee was concerned as he followed entering inside to feel the heat. Taking the elevator down while Gibbs and Jerome were brought on over to the freight elevator making it easier.
He had felt the elevator moved on down. It didn't take all that long before they reached the desired floor with the doors opening and a number of employees passing him by with the representative showing him the waiting room.
"You will wait here or you can head downstairs to the cafeteria to eat or drink on the third or lobby entrance." the young woman had to say.
"I will wait here for a little while with needing to make a few calls. Walking inside the waiting room. He had pulled out his cell to call Loreile.
She had already been given the news about her husband being shot. She had arrived at the airfield with a friend waiting for her to be flown to the Possum county medical center. When her cell phone had been going off.
"This is, Loreile, who is this by chance?" she will ask the question.
"Jerome, I was one of the retired police officers with your husband getting shot along with another. They have arrived at the Possum County medical center and are in surgery prepping as we speak."
"I have been given the news Jerome, I am about ready to fly in a helicopter to be taken to the hospital. I just hope it's not too late with my husband?"
With the shake of his head. "Don't even speak like that Loreile. Jethro is going to be alright!" Jerome had to say over the phone.
"I hope so Jerome. I have been through a great deal having been married to him for four-plus years. Listen O need to be going now with the pilot waiting for me." she said.
"Okay, I will be waiting for you in the waiting room. Good luck with the flight Loreile." he cried out with hanging up the connection.
Loreile walked over the helicopter with the older pilot in his fifties with salt & pepper hair. "I am Loreile Gibbs, I do hope everything is all set to take off for the Possum County medical center?" she cries out...
"Get in Mrs. Gibbs, my name is Davis. Please strap in for the flight to the hospital. It's going to take forty minutes. So relax for the most part." he inquired with helping her with the safety strap.
"Thanks." she smiles as the pilot takes off the ground with the rotary blades with the searchlights turned on with the tower giving permission with the flight.
For the moment Loreile had closed her eyes feeling the power of the blades soaring through the darkness of the sky with no moon out at all just the coldness and the wind.
She had been thinking the last time she and her husband spent any real-time together without injuries. She was hoping that they take their marriage vows with another honeymoon to Hawaii, Paris, and Germany for the month before Gibbs once again takes over at the Academy as an instructor.
She needs it after all of the stress she had been under and just prior to having her third son in a row to be a miracle in itself...
Work was starting in both Gibbs and Rick with their different wounds. Special Agent Gibbs had been placed under by the anesthesiologist making sure he was breathing on his own. "He's all set Doctor Mills." Doctor Lancaster had to say with checking his vitals up above.
As Doctor Mills began working on his right shoulder, while another specialist with his right leg asking for an instrument to remove the fragment from his shin. He was lucky that none of the fragile bones were damaged in the shooting.
Doctor Mills using the laser purchased from Florida was working well with burning up the fragments in his right shoulder. It was so much easier than the scalpel with most surgeries now of days.
Taking an hour and some minutes with the repairs and removals of the bullet fragments. Gibbs's vitals were steady with finishing up to have Gibbs taken to recovery for a little while making sure that he doesn't bottom out.
"I will go speak with his family in the waiting room." Doctor Mills needed to say with Mcgee and Jerome waiting for a word with Loreile to be arriving soon to the hospital.
Doctor Mills walked in with McGee standing. "I am Doctor Mills working on Special Agent Gibbs. He's going to be found at this point as the bullet fragments from his shoulder and leg have been removed," he said.
"Are we able to see him Doctor while his wife is on her way over?" McGee croaked out with his response.
"He's being moved to recovery at this point. I will send an escort for when it's time to see him as with Rick. Since he's still in surgery for the next five minutes." Doctor Mills needed to say.
"Thanks, Doc!" McGee had to say.
