With Nick racing to catch up to the ambulance on the highway leading to the medical center not too far away from the Coppermine.
However, it was moments later when the EMTs had stopped the driver since Leroy Jethro Gibbs was in cardiac arrest by calling the hospital for further instructions to zap his heart with the paddles.
EMT Jones Wilson turned up the device with the megajoules to be raised to 350 with zapping Gibbs chest with the paddles raising his entire body off the stretcher, while McGee was awake with his injuries watching the horrid scene.
Though the good news was the face the 350 megajoules was able to bring back Gibbs normal again with his heart rate and most of all his blood pressure.
"How's he doing Mr. Wilson?" McGee cried out with his response.
"Back to normal with his heart rate. Does this agent have some type of heart condition?" Wilson will ask McGee for the information and his heart condition.
Sitting up further on the stretcher with his shoulder and leg feeling better in spite of the fact he had been given a heavy dosage of pain killers with orders from the doctor on the radio.
"Yeah, Gibbs does have a heart condition with his primary care physician at Bethesda, hospital to be Doctor Cyril Taft. I will let the doctors know at the medical center with his doctor's name." McGee coughed slightly with seeing the pale face of his former boss and friend.
"Thank you, anything can help with the doctors in regard to treating Gibbs and his concussion for sure and issues with his heart?" Mr. Wilson will tell him with checking his vitals once again with his blood pressure was heading back to normal once more.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Torres watched the ambulance begin driving swiftly across the highway with the heat rising off the road. "Whew! it's hot as hell outside Jessica?" Nick paused for the moment to catch his breath.
"No kidding, Nick! Everyone knew with coming here it was going to be hot with the humidity," she tells him with venom in her demeanor.
Stopping for a moment to say to her. "What the hell is going on with yourself, Jessica, and your altitude?" he instructed with his comment.
"None of your business Nick as to why I am acting like this. Now I suggest that you continue on with this vehicle missing out with watching McGee and Gibbs being brought into the emergency room entrance of the medical center." she snapped back at him.
"Suit yourself, Jessica," Nick says with driving the rented vehicle further with watching the ambulance be pulling into the emergency room parking lot with doctors to be waiting for the ambulance to be arriving and with stretchers with switching Gibbs and McGee onto them with Doctor Melrose age 62 in charge of Gibbs and McGee with taking them inside out of the heat to head for the transport elevator taking them up to the eighth floor and operating rooms.
