Walder pov:
Walking through the gods wood in Winterfell, it was eerily alive but silent at the same time, there was no background noise that usually comes with a wood.
The sun was high in the sky the light was making the snow shine with blinding light.
Laying in the snow looking up into the sky, enjoying the vague memories of the past first life.
I hoped when my time is up in this world, I would be given another choice for I never want my days in the sun to end.
A snap brought me out of my revery, sitting up I saw two kids staring at me, they both had dark colored hair, the boy had grey eyes while the girl had dark amber eyes.
Standing up from the ground, "Hello what are your names?" I asked, dusting snow off myself
The boy stepped forward, "My name is Edwyle Stark, and this my sister Jocelyn Stark." He said, motioning behind him
"You must be Lady Stark's children, my name is Walder Frey." I said, bowing slightly
I heard steps behind me, turning it was a stark guard.
"Lord Frey it is time for your meeting with Lady Stark." He said, bowing to me, then bowing to the little Starks
I was about to leave with him, when I thought I couldn't leave them here.
"Lord Edwyle, Lady Jocelyn would you like to come to the meeting?" I asked
Edwyle thought on it for a couple minutes, then looking to Jocelyn for her answer.
She nodded her head, "Yes." He said, nodding his head too
They started to walk through the snow to us, but they were moving slow.
Walking to them, I picked up Edwyle in one arm and Jocelyn in the other.
"We don't want to be late meeting lady Stark." I said, walking out of the godswood with the guard leading the way
The guard looked confused at how to react to me.
When we reached the solar, I put Jocelyn and Edwyle down on the ground, one of the guards went into the solar then came back out he opened the door.
When he opened the door Edwyle and Jocelyn ran into the solar, following them into the solar.
She was hugging them, kissing their foreheads.
"Shouldn't you two be in your lessons." She said, staring at them questioningly
"Yes, but we wanted to see the stranger." Jocelyn said, pointing at me
I smiled at that, they are so adorable, I feel bad for their descendants in the future.
Lady Stark looked over to me for a second, staring at me critically before smiling warmly.
"Edwyle, Jocelyn head to your lessons, Lord Frey and I need to continue a conversation." She said, sitting back into her chair
"Bye lord Walder." They both said, waving as they walked out of the room
The door was closed behind them, I sat across from Lady Stark.
"Most lords would try to get close to my children for ulterior motives, do you have children?" She asked, looking me in the eyes
"Yes, three little girls Nymeria, Visenya, and Octavia, I hope for more in the future." I said smiling broadly
"As a parent you can see how I can be concerned who comes in contact with my children." She said
"Many would try to influence them, by foster, their own children." I said, counting them off on my fingers
"But I don't have need for that, since house Frey and house Stark will be doing business between each other." I said
"I can understand why your worried for anything happened to my children, I would unleash all that I have upon those guilty." I said, clenching my fists
"You're a strange compared to most lords." She said
We sat there in silence for an unknown amount of time.
"These trading posts, they will be fortified in what way?" She asked, pulling out ink and a quill
"They will be fortified, the ones beyond the wall will be a motte and bailey, while the one here in the North will be fortified towns at most, different per Mormont and Karstark geography." I said, counting them off in my head
"Are there any plans for Mormont port?" She asked, waiting for me to answer
"Besides it being trade, whaling, I hope with a collective help that it will become the western port for the North." I said
She wrote all that down, but it looked like she wrote more than what I said.
"Would it be possible to expand the Mormonts lands into the far north?" I asked, inward hoping for the magic word yes.
"Yes, it is possible but it would be unpresented in the history of the north." She said, sounding a bit in disbelief
"It would be unpresented but it would make the Mormonts wealthier than they are now, not in farming or gold but in the bounty of North." I said, staring dreamily into space
She sat there not speaking, pulling out at piece of parchment she wrote on it, holding over a candle she sealed it.
"Give this to lord Mormont, it gives you the right to build on and claim land beyond the wall." She said, handing me the sealed parchment
Taking it from her hand, "Then I shall be leaving on the morrow for Karhold." I said, standing up from my chair
"Lord Walder I wish you luck on you journey." She said
I bowed, leaving the room to go prepare for my journey.
