Draco continued to 'tease' Harry all throughout the next week. He really didn't like it, at all, but he knew that his father would do something drastic, like disown him, if he found out Draco was in a relationship with a 'Mudblood.' If only he could be himself.

But currently, he was happy. He and his Mya had practiced for hours, practically since after dinner, and they had been able to wordlessly and wandlessly deflect every spell sent their way. So now they sat on the couch, the one that always popped up when they needed it.

"Hey, Mya?"

"Hmm?" He was laying with his head in her lap, and she was running her fingers through his hair.

"I think you should show interest in someone, or something. I know you love me, and I love you, but you might need to seem to fancy someone or something. Just to lay off suspicion."

"Yeah. Maybe Ron? I think the entire student body thinks we should get together. If I seem interested, maybe he might see it. Though he is oblivious sometimes."

They both laughed a little. Both of Hermione's boys were quite daft sometimes.

"Hopefully he doesn't. I don't want him stealing my girl." Hermione leaned down and kissed him.

"He won't."

The two of them had left their safe haven a few hours after that, when it was nearing one in the morning. Draco slipped his pajamas on, and slipped into the bed as quietly as he was able to.

.

The next morning, a news article, written by Rita Skeeter, professional hag, was printed about Potter. Reading through it, Draco wasn't sure what she thought she was doing. It was mostly fiction. He knew Harry wasn't 12. Heck, Harry was his age!

I suppose I get my strength from my parents. I know they'd be proud of me if only they could see me now… Yeah. I do cry for them sometimes. But I know that nothing will harm me during this tournament 'cause they are watching over me, and I am grateful for that.

Draco nearly vomited. This was trash, only good for fire tinder. Even then, it was bad. It was just … ugh. Ew.

Ok, maybe Draco was acting like a girl about this, but the author really hated the article and wanted her point to be made. (What?) Nevermind.

But as Draco continued to read he got a bit insecure. He knew, in his heart, that Hermione would never cheat on him, but he still thought it tough, seeing the following in the article.

Harry has at last found love at Hogwarts. His close friend, Colin Creevey, has made a statement for us today. He says Harry is rarely seen out of the presence of one Hermione Granger, a stunning Muggle - Born student and also competing with Harry constantly for the honor of top student of the fourth year class.

Draco calmly put the paper down and breathed deeply. He wasn't hurt, and he knew that Skeeter constantly wrote lies and fiction into her articles. In all honesty, the Daily Prophet was only good for a gossip rag. It was almost as bad as Witch Weekly, not that Draco read that. (Most definitely not, who do you think he was?)

As time went on, Draco was in the library when Mya and Harry were often too, although they didn't really know it. Well, maybe Hermione did, but whatever. She always knew where he was somehow. He started to notice Viktor Krum was in the library often too, and kept his distance from the group of girls haggling after him, poor guy. At least Harry didn't really have as many fans as the poor Quidditch star did, especially considering the professional Seeker was only 17. But as Hermione and Harry continued to research different things the first task could be, Draco made sure to help Hermione in the background, pointing out books and leaving them on their table whenever they got up to get more.

.

Friday before the first task (which was on Tuesday), Fred and George meet Hermione and Draco in the RoR, and gave them a bit of Polyjuice potion with one of their hairs in it. The idea was that the three of them would meet in the basement, where there was a passageway back to Hogwarts, and Draco would take the potion, then get to walk around with Hermione for a bit. It might seem like George or Fred, whichever, was dating Hermione, but anything to get the press off of Hermione and Harry as a couple, and to give the two of them an actual date. So, the Saturday before the task, Draco led Greg (Goyle) and Vincent (Crabbe) into the sweetshop, and gave them a generous amount of money and letting them loose (*cough* *cough* pigs *cough*), and slipped into the basement where the twins were waiting for him.

"Now, things you have to know -"

"numéro un - Don't ruin my reputation."

"numéro deux - Don't kiss her we don't -"

"- Need rumors of me and her dating."

"We love her, -"

"- just not like that."

"numéro quatre - Have fun."

"Will do you two. Thanks a lot."

They nodded and left up the passage, and Draco took the potion. After his skin had finished bubbling and he had grown another foot (it felt like), he walked out of the basement and to the Shrieking Shack, where he and Hermione had pre-arranged a meeting."

He waited for close to fifteen minutes, and then she showed up. "What took you so long, little miss?"

"Ew, that sounds weird coming from anyone's mouth. Harry got caught up in the three broomsticks. Had to stay for a minute. He's left back for the castle, but he and Hagrid have a meeting at midnight tonight, then Sirius is gonna call at one. I might not be able to meet you for a couple of days. But at least we have today."

"Yeah, yeah. Love you too. Would kiss you, but the twins said I couldn't"

"And it would be weird to do so. I don't love them. Like that at least."

"So, about that Daily Prophet article a few days ago." Draco started as they walked back up the street. "You aren't really in love with Potter now, are you?"

"God no. I love him, but he's my brother, Dray. You know that. Same with Ron."

"Good." Merlin, he really wanted to kiss her right now.

"I don't care what the twins said." Pulling her into an alley that actually did lead to an obscure quill shop down a ways, he pulled her close and kissed her, no matter her protests.

She leaned up into him, and they kept making sure that no one had followed them, heading further and further down the alley as they kissed. Eventually, they made their way into the shop and looked at the quills, eventually deciding on an eagle owl and a peacock feather quill each, just for the absurdity of them.

Heading back up the alley, Draco and Hermione made their way to the school before the potion wore off. Draco waited in an empty classroom, and then went to his common room afterwards.

.

The next day was smooth sailing, until he got an owl at lunch, which wasn't all that common. Usually, owls came at the other two meals, but it wasn't unheard of. Amethyst dropped off the letter from Hermione explaining the first task, and asked for a solution that Harry would be able to learn in just under two days. Draco thought hard for the entire day, but nothing really came up to him that was plausible.

.

Monday brought classes, and Draco sailed through his DADA, Transfiguration, and Ancient Runes classes. Then Draco got another note delivered by Amethyst saying that the RoR meeting was going to have to wait, and Harry had found a solution for his conundrum. Draco was glad he had something to do, at least.

Now, just to see if Harry could do it all.

.

I'm sorry it's so short, but I had a good place to stop, and just needed to get this out to you all! Um, thanks for following so far, and adding to favorites and all that. I am looking for a Beta currently, and have messaged a couple of different people, but they were last active a while ago, a fact that I, stupidly, didn't check until later. But if you want to help me out, and have a Beta profile, PM me.

Please review or PM me, cause I honestly live on those, and I will have the next chapter out a lot sooner than I had this one out, possibly today, maybe tomorrow, but probably within the week.

The next chapter is gonna be super fun to write. See ya all later!
