My breath quickened. These people in my room weren't random people, they were fictional characters from an old guys imagination.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Questions swarmed my mind, how are they real? Does that mean everything about them were real? They must've sensed my panic because Goldilocks said, "Uh, we should go, do you know where the exit is?"

Technically if my crazy theory was correct Goldilocks is actually Annabeth Chase. She lived with her step-mother and father in San Francisco. But then what was she doing with everyone else?

What do I do?I thought hastily. It can't possibly be them. Wait, if 8 powerful demigods were out in the open, wouldn't they be smelling like fresh food to the monsters? That's how I'll find out if they're real. But did I have enough time? I had to steady myself, before all my thoughts toppled me over.

I took a deep breath and said, "Okay, I know who you guys are, don't ask me how, but think about this: you're 8 demigods all in the same room. Let that sink in." I informed them. They're eyes widened after realization, then it turned to confusion. "Wait, how do you know we're demigods?" Muscular Asian boy, Frank, asked.

"I told you I can't explain everything. Right now, we need to find a place to keep you safe. I can't do it by myself though." They still looked worried. "Okay, listen, I know this seems weird, and confusing but you have to trust me. Just this once, okay? Please." I insisted. Piper, a good-looking girl with choppy hair and colorful eyes looked at me.

"I'm in." She said. "Yeah, me too." Percy—the boy with jet-black hair said. Everyone nodded in agreement. Annabeth was last, but she still assessed me with caution.

"Okay, so here's the plan, I'm…rich." The word sounded like sandpaper in my mouth.

"Uh, I have a few friends who'd love to help, and I'm thinking we're going to need as much help as we can get. And before you say it's dangerous to bring more people into this, let me tell you my friends are super qualified." I explained. Jason, a blonde guy with vibrant blue eyes, shook his head. "I'm sorry, we can't"

"Please, you have to trust me. I know what I'm doing." I persisted. Jason looked around, then finally sighed. "Fine." I nodded with grateful smile. "First things first, please someone lay Nico on the bed." Alarm masked their faces when I said his name, but Percy and Jason carried Nico and laid him on the bed.

"Okay, now someone tell me, where did he last shadow-travel from?" "California," answered Leo/scrawny boy. I frowned. "I don't understand. He's shadow-traveled greater distances before." I muttered. I shook my head. One problem at a time.

"Okay, my friends' houses aren't far from hear. We should be able to get you back to New York soon—" the sound of our doorbell interrupted my plan. "Um, we weren't expecting anyone."

"Leave Nico, he needs rest" I motioned them to follow me. We tip-toed downstairs. They're faces portrayed a mixture of shock, dismay and awe when they saw my house. Xander was walking towards the door. I pushed the 7 inside the closest door, which happened to be a bathroom.

"Hey, Xander!" I shouted as I hurried down the stairs. He stopped and turned. "So, I see you got a new haircut," I stalled. His curly hair sat on the middle of his head, while his sides where stubbly shaved. He looked good. "Are mom and dad out?" I guessed. He nodded. "Look sis, there's someone at the door, I need to get it." I grabbed his arm before he could open the door.

"I'll get it, you should get some sleep. Don't worry." I assured him. I put on the most realistic smile I could. He shrugged and said, "Yeah, whatever,". Everyone should've been in bed by now.

I let out a relieved breath. I peeked through the keyhole. I couldn't make out that much, but I saw three girls, they were in casual clothes, jeans and blouses. I reluctantly opened the door. They greeted me with a dazzling smile. They were really pretty. The one in the middle wore a polka-dotted top.

"Hey, there! We're selling cookies! Could you bring out your family to choose your flavor?" She kept trying to stealing peeks behind me. I closed the door a bit more. I put on a fake smile. "Yeah, so you're selling cookies at about 10 at night? And why do you need my entire family?" I asked innocently.

The girl on her left wearing dark green rolled her eyes and said, "Whatever, we just wanted to see your family. It's no big deal," I tilted my head. "Nah," I said as I closed the door. A sneaker stopped the door. The girls walked in. "We know you're hoarding demigods in here, where are they?" Polka dot hissed.

I steadied my breath, and frowned. "What?" Dark green shirt rolled her eyes. "Please, you're a terrible liar, girls I think we can make an exception for this one." Then I watched in horror as their disguises melted away. Each of them had a copper leg, and some sort of animal hoof on the other. They're nails grew out into long black talons as they stretched their mouths to reveal long fangs. Their eyes turned to a murderous blood red.

Empousai, I thought.

"Guys, help!" I cried before all three of them pounced, fangs open ready to engulf me in a bite.

Okie, so, again, hope you guys are enjoying the chapters so far, and I it'll get better, but anyways, I can't publish a new chapter every week because of school, though I'll try my best. I'll try to publish a new chapter every Sunday, but if I'm not able to, I will upload it in at least 2 weeks! Have fun reading! Oh, and-Other monsters will be mentioned along with other gods and maybe more characters too. That's all, Bai! 3
