I kicked my feet outward instinctively, then scrambled away as the middle empousa hit the ground with a grunt. The other two scurried to help their leader.

The seven dashed out the bathroom, swords at the ready. The empousai got to their feet. The middle one smiled. "Percy Jackson, I should've known now, I will avenge Kelli by feasting on you!" She cackled, a sound like Styrofoam in a blender. Percy's eyes widened. "Tammi." He said with disgust. "The one and only. And trust me, I've come a long way since being a trainee."

Tammi was an empousa disguised as a cheerleader in Goode high school, a high school Percy attended (before, of course, starting a fire and crashing the band room with his mortal friend Rachel Elizabeth Dare)

All these facts came rushing back to me. I knew every detail of The Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus like the back of my hand.

The empousai true image faded away to show again the beautiful girls who I was talking to at the door a few minutes ago. They fluttered their eyelashes, and gave the guys a heart-melting smile. Jason and Percy's swords dipped, they're eyes glazed over. The sweet fragrance of lavender and breezes filled the air.

Frank had a drowsy smile on his face and Leo's hammer clanked onto the ground. The girls exchanged concerned looks. "Guys! They're tricking you!" Hazel insisted, shaking Frank and Leo. "No need for that," Tammi purred.

Annabeth and Piper were desperately trying to break the empousa's spell by slapping Percy and Jason across the face. "Come here, boys" The dark green shirt/left empousa tempted. The boys walked towards them, shaking off the girls' attempts to pull them back. They stood beside Tammi and the rest. The empousai weren't supposed to be this compelling.

"How are you this powerful?" I pressed. Tammi bared her fangs as she laughed. "Let's just say we've gotten some…help." My mind immediately kicked into gear. Empousai were supporters of Hecate, but Hecate was on the gods' side after the giant war…right?

"By whom?" Piper asked. Tammi pouted. "Hmm, I don't feel like telling."

Annabeth, Piper and Hazel drew their daggers and swords. "Then I guess we have to force the answer out of you." Annabeth said. "Boys, stay here." Tammi ordered. The guys instantly sat on the ground, weapons at their side. The empousai focused on the girls again and turned back to their grotesque form, except this time, Tammi had flames dancing on her head. Huh. Upgrade, I thought nervously.

As soon the empousai attacked, the battle began.

Annabeth slashed at the right empousa disintegrating her into a cloud of yellow dust. She advanced to dark green shirt/left empousa. Hazel and Piper took on Tammi.

The battle should've ended quickly, but Tammi was quicker. She tripped Piper, who fell onto Hazel. They got to their feet and continued fighting. I fiercely thought about a way I could distract Tammi. "Guys! They're going to kill them!" I shouted at the boys. They didn't flinch.

A crazy idea passed my mind. It was better than nothing. I rushed outside to the fountain, and picked up a handful of wet rocks. I peeled the sock on my foot and quickly stuffed the rocks inside. Then I tied the sock into a lazy knot. Then I bolted inside, where I saw Piper and hazel still fending off Tammi.

Annabeth was struggling to keep up with her opponent. I darted to the boys and grabbed Jason's sword. They still didn't move. "Guys, please, listen to me. If you don't do something, your friends are going to die. You've got to fight the spell." I tried, one last time. I looked at the on-going fight.

I've got a few minutes before they were done for. "Percy, Annabeth is counting on you. Jason, Piper is fighting for her life, there. You guys, please, think about all the times you had together. The giant war, when you defeated Gaea, when the two camps finally untied. Please." Tears streamed down my cheeks when they didn't say anything.

"Screw you," I muttered. Then I turned to the attack and flung the sock towards Tammi with all my might. "Hey!" I shouted at the empousa Annabeth was fighting against. It distracted her for only a second, but that enough.

Annabeth swung her ivory sword down, and the empousa exploded. "Thanks," She panted. I nodded, then turned to a very angry empousa. Tammi was rubbing the spot my sock hit her in the head. Her eyes turned to an extra blood red. "Whoops?" I whispered. She zoomed past Annabeth and Hazel, clawing they're backs, sending them groaning on the ground. Then she raked Piper's dagger out of her hand and kicked her in the stomach.

She did this all in about 20 seconds or less. I stared at her in shock and terror. Just before she finished me off, she screeched as she burst into yellow dust. Behind her stood Percy, Jason, Frank and Leo, they're weapons exposed and eyes flaming with anger.
