Cp 9

"Are you kidding me?" Cassie whined as she hauled Jason and Piper to their feet. Lilith slowly shook Nico. Nicki shuffled quietly towards hazel and Frank. I, however, stood still staring at the creature in front of me. The dracaena had silver armor on and was holding a spear with blades on both ends.

"My lord will be pleased with me," The dracaena cackled.

"Who are you? And who are you working for?" I peeped. She whipped her head at me, beady yellow eyes staring me down. I gave her an awkward smile. She bared her jagged sharp teeth at me. "That, child, is not of your concern. But I am Asthana!" Then she turned back to my friends, who huddled all the unconscious heroes in a circle, unsuccessful in waking them up. They stood nervously in a line, clearly (and idiotically) attempting to hide their hero 'community circle'.

Even the dracaena looked unimpressed. "Your transportation will arrive soon." Transportation?

Then a question floated in my mind. My friends' screams were heard one right after another, yet there was only one dracaena. She couldn't have done it alone.

"Who else is with you?" I asked. My voice sounded like a whimper. Put on your big-girl pants, Olivia I thought. "Who else is with you?" Louder, but still shaking. "Ah, my wonderful sisters: Kythira and Verona."

"So, I guess bad names run in the family, huh?" Cassie muttered. Unlucky for her, Asthana heard. She slithered to Cassie foam dripping from her scaly lips. I resisted the urge gag and so did Cassie, though it was harder since she was in the splash zone.

"I have no orders not to kill humans, especially intolerable ones." She seethed. Cassie waved her hand in front of her face. "Oh, dude, ever met toothpaste? It can work miracles,"

What were they doing? They're going to get killed! "I mean, yeah, gross, I can smell it from here, did you kill your dentist?" Lilith said. Nicole covered a smile with her hand. "All of you will apologize! With your blood." She lunged at Cassie first, but Nicole had something else planned. She thrusted a black sword against her chest.

It was a distraction! Nicki borrowed Nico's stygian iron sword. Injured, Asthana wailed and collapsed. In the confused moment, Cassie and Lilith leaped out of the line. "Why isn't she disintegrating?" Lilith demanded. Nicki shrugged. "Uh… we just made her really mad then." Cassie nervously pointed out. As if on cue, Asthana hobbled on her spear and balanced herself.

She let out a cry. Then, she exploded into yellow dust. The dust settled on the unconscious heroes. "Huh, I guess death was lagging." Nikki said, annoyed. Just when we thought we were done, the backyard grass trembled. The grass rolled over and 4 pudgy figures with wings erupted from the backyard.

The sun made it easier to see them, but that wasn't exactly a food thing. The figures were babies. Correction, babies with extra fat and wings. Yeah, wings. They wore white diapers and when they smiled, they had razor sharp teeth.

They grunted to each other and smiled at their package, sitting perfectly in an unconscious circle. How convenient. I looked desperately at my friends. Just when things couldn't get any worse, the sound of crunching grass and hisses filled the air.

My friends and I turned to where the sounds came from.

Big Mistake.

A dracaena slithered into view, much bigger than the last. The size of a pickup truck. She too, had armor and a sharp two-ended spear. She had two large snake trunks and terrifying gold eyes. "Where is my sister?" She screeched. Before we could answer, her eyes landed on the yellow dust on Jason, Piper and Frank's head. Her eyes widened. Then she howled and glowered at us, eyes teary.

"I had successfully captured the blond and his little club, when I check on Verona. A trail of powder was all I found. You pathetic humans," She spat. "Interfering with personal matters. Time to teach you a lesson." She flicked her forked tongue in between her teeth with relish.

"I think I peed a little," Cassie muttered.

A/N: I am so sorry, I got the dates wrong, this is the 9th chapter, hope you guys like it. It gets better as the story goes on. Also, I'm going to mention a few monsters Uncle Rick hasn't mentioned before, but it's because he's used most of the popular Greek myths. But ya, hope you enjoy this chapter.
