Cp 15

Chiron had the lower body of a white stallion and the upper waist body of a middle age man. He had a scraggly beard and kind eyes. I smiled when I saw him. Chiron had trained many famous heroes past the millennia. It was an honor. I tried my best to compose myself, but I may have let out an excited squeal of joy. Cassie, Nicki and Lilith eyes widened as they took in the centaur.

"Chiron there's something you need to know." Annabeth said. "Not now child, we need to get them to the big house first. There you will be treated if you have any wounds." He glanced at my arm.

Annabeth sighed. She must've been used to this. "I've had some campers offer a quick tour for our newcomers. Cassie, Olivia, Nicki and Lilith will meet them at the Big House. The rest of you will get clean and change into new clothes." Chiron directed. "And say hi to your fellow campers, they've missed you," He finished.

As the eight followed Chiron's orders, my friends and I stood there awkwardly. "I assume you all know the way to the Big House?" We nodded in agreement. "Dinner starts at 6:00, ends at 7. The other campers will start their games. The four of you can meet me in the Big House. See you there."

He gave us a warm smile, but his eyes painted a different picture. It looked grave and wandering.

He galloped away hooves stomping on the soft grass. "Who do you think volunteered showing us around?" Nicki asked us. "Look dude, I don't know that, but what I do know is that I'm hungry." I drawled.

The last time I was this hungry was when our school's cheerleaders convinced the principle to have the entire school go on a hunger strike to "save the pandas."

It was so stupid.

The cheer captain, Tiffany, was the one who led the entire thing. When I asked her why the pandas were in so-called danger, she simply answered with the dumbest answer: Global Warming.

Anyway, my stomach growled in hunger. "Uh-oh, Olivia, last time you looked like that, you went into a crazy food frenzy." Nicki warned. I scowled. "I did not." Cassie raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, sure. So, you didn't go all insane on Tiffany on the very first day?"

"She said the polar bears were in danger because of global warming, Cass, global warming!" I argued back.

"I've met plastic cups smarter than her."

Lilith snickered. Nicki swatted her arm. "That's not nice, Olivia." I make a face and start mocking her.

"She's not wrong y'know." A voice said from behind us. All four of us jumped and turned around. "What the heck, dude!" Cassie shouts at our unexpected guests.

Two guys and two girls. Both girls had dark hair and striking eyes. They were also twins. Both of them had a camp shirt on and jeans. "I'm Holly" and "I'm Laurel" They both aid at the same time. "I said, I'll say it first!" Holly snapped. "You said it last time!" Laurel shot back. They continued bickering as the guys introduced themselves.

"Excuse them, they—" I cut him off. "They're children of Nike, so that makes them really competitive. Yeah, I know." Guy number one, the one I interrupted looked clearly offended. He had cropped black hair and light blue eyes. Guy number two held a fist to his mouth to stop the laughter.

Guy number two reached out his hand. He had bright green eyes and a strong jawline. He also had his brown hair in a Quiff haircut. "I'm Ace. Son of Hephaestus, cabin 9. I'm here to give a tour to… Olivia?" He looked at us hoping for a response. My friends looked at me, which gave Ace the chance to move his outstretched hand in my direction. "Olivia, I'm guessing?" I snarled. "I'm not touching your hand." Cassie bit back a smile.

"Oh boy, careful with her, she hasn't eaten yet." Ace gave her a confused but worried smile then lowered his hand. "I'm Blake, cabin 20, Hecate's my mom and I came in right after the titan war." He informed. "I'm looking for Cassie?"

Cassie raised her hand. "That's me." Holly and Laurel finally stopped bickering. "I'm guiding a…Nicki?" Laurel asked. Nicki shot her a small wave. "That must mean I'm with you," Holly linked her arm with Lilith. Lilith smiled. "I'll show you the cabins first,"

Laurel swatted Holly on the shoulder. "Nuh-uh. I said I was going to do that!" They're arguing trailed off as they walked Lilith and Nicki to the cabins.

"So, uh, what do you want to see first?" Blake asked Cassie. Cassie shrugged. "I've always wanted to see that lava wall!" Cassie jumped up and down. It must've looked pretty silly because Blake laughed. Cassie frowned. "What're you laughing at pretty boy?" Blake stopped but still had a small smile on his face. He walked Cassie to the Lava wall.

Which meant it was the creature and myself. "I don't need your guide; I can look around myself." I grumbled. Ace raised his eyebrows. "Oh yeah? So, you don't even wanna see the lake?" I'll admit, I did want to see a naiad. "You'll meet some satyrs and nymphs on the way." He persisted.

I sighed. "Fine, tour guide. Lead the way."
