Branches:

Valkyrie Ground Force (VGF):

Also known as the Army, the VGF is the primary component in all conflicts waged by the UMSV, owning the largest amount of soldiers under arms compared to the other services. It is adept in conventional doctrine, but also capable in guerrilla warfare.

Valkyrie Air Force (VAF):

The Air Force is a critical branch of the Armed Forces, providing air supremacy and battlefield support for the other branches. Although the Naval and Space Force have their own aircraft, the Air Force is still needed if any conflict is to be waged successfully.

Valkyrie Naval Force (VNF):

Although in the age where spaceships are the dominant force, the Valkyrie Navy is nonetheless responsible for patrolling the seas of planetary bodies where surfaces have significant amount of water.

Valkyrie Space Force (VSF):

Representing the largest component branch, its warships are responsible for the security and expansion of Valkyrie space, always present wherever the winged flag flies.

Naval Force:

DX (Dreadnought)

A Capital ship surpassing any other, its role of dispensing mass firepower and absorbing heavy punishment makes it suitable for spearheading large naval battles, their construction process requires massive resources and an effort of around 8-10 years, but in exchange the Spacey gets a truly terrifying warship in its arsenal.

CVN (Fleet Carrier)

The mainstay of UMSV Naval Doctrine, with each carrying 200 aircraft of all types for offensive and defensive operations, these ships are vital assets in safeguarding border regions from hostile encroachment, their deployment necessitates an escort of several smaller ships.

CVL (Light Carrier)

Unlike its ship-of-the-line counterpart, the Light Carrier is smaller and can operate more independently in small flotillas despite only carrying a compliment of 50-70 aircraft, they are usually used as a screening force to defend non-carrier ships from small craft attack.

CVE (Escort Carrier)

These ships escort convoys or reinforce the air power compliment of a carrier strike force, they operate close to frontlines patrolling for enemy vessels and protect recently acquired territory

CVMS (Mobile Suit Carrier)

As the name suggests, these ships carry large mobile suits into zero-gravuty combat equipped with beam weapons reverse-engineered from captured machines, their main purpose is to counter any opposing mecha suits in space or achieve superiority in the battle zone, and can even deploy them to a planet's surface if an Assault ship is unavailable

BB (Battleship)

The pride of the fleet, the Battleship is essential in fighting pitched battles against other capital ships, its design reflects the 360-degree combat zone with large guns all over its superstructure.

BBF (Fast Battleship)

A variant of the Battleship, it has weaker armor but in exchange has faster speed, able to brawl with capital ships similar to the BB-Class, these ships however are beginning to be phased out as Battleships are given more powerful and faster engines relegating a whole system for this class irrelevant.

BC (Battlecruiser)

Just like the Fast Battleship, the Battlecruiser fills a role similar to its blue-water counterpart, outrunning and outgunning older capital ships, but with Battleships largely filling the role as heavy hitters and cruisers able to fill their role, the Battlecruisers are in a state of limbo between either an independent class of ships or to be absorbed into the Cruiser-class system.

CB (Standard Cruiser)

A ship fulfilling the role of 'heavily-armed, but fast.' This type of vessel has several objectives such as Capital escort, Patrol, and Rapid Response. They are almost as numerous as destroyers, since the UMSV needs a flexible ship capable of dealing heavy punishment but also rapid re-deployment to another area on short notice

CA (Heavy Cruiser)

More armed and armored, these ships can subsidize Battleships if absent, used for early engagements until heavier warships can arrive on the scene to deal with the enemy, they can independently operate if given a carrier and destroyer escort.

CL (Light Cruiser)

Less armored, less armed. CLs are primarily for anti-air defense since their main weapons are less capable than regular CCs or CAs, their contribution is crucial as they are the ones acting as the final defense before enemy craft have their crosshairs on the vulnerable carriers.

CM (Missile Cruiser)

In place of turret mounts are long-range ballistic missiles carrying heavy payloads capable of destroying entire enemy fleets or saturating a planet's surface, their presence requires heavy escort due its armaments being stripped in order to fit more VLS tubes.

DD (Destroyer)

The primary anti-aircraft and supporting attack ship, destroyers are made for fleet defense or independent operations, making them suitable for the most mass-produced type of ship for prolonged operations.

DDM (Missile Destroyer)

In place of several cannons are missile launchers which are able to fire a large volley of missiles, perfect for saturation attacks on enemy fleets using hit-and-run tactics, these ships act as skirmishers.

DDE (Escort Destroyer)

This Class of ship mainly escorts unarmed cargo/transport vessels due to fear of piracy or sudden attacks by hidden enemy forces, they have been deployed in great numbers but are not suitable in fleet-on-fleet action, since their purpose is rear-guard duty during a battle.

FF (Frigate)

These vessels are relegated to long-distance patrol duties in a particular sectors, but also act as auxiliary for capital ships similar to destroyers.

MS (Minesweeper)

Minesweepers which defuse or deploy magnetic minefields to deny the enemy a strategic or tactical advantage, giving its Fleet ample time to strategize and destroy the enemy.

AL (Arsenal Ship)

A ship made for saturation and saturation only, they carry a vast amount of missiles with different warheads able to unleash a barrage of armageddon into an unexpected enemy fleet, their main drawback however are the missiles themselves as the enemy could intercept them if they have a powerful interception system.

AS (Assault Ship)

Capable of rapidly deploying troops onto a planet's surface, these ships are escorted by dozens of other warships as they are the most vulnerable and crucial in any planetary invasion.

VAS (Vanguard Assault Ship)

A small transport vessels similar in purpose to the Assault Ship, the VAS deploys units in-advance of the main force tasked in securing landing zones.

SS (Supply/Support Ship)

Auxiliary vessels carrying spare parts, ammunition, or extra manpower, these ships are responsible for maintaining strategic operations when a Fleet Yard is unavailable or cannot accommodate immense formations during planetary invasions.

PT (Patrol Boat)

Short-ranged patrol craft guarding the surrounding area of orbital fortresses or Large Fleet Yards where entire Armadas are exposed to attack, they are the first and last line of defense in any enemy assault on a base.

Ground Force:

Military Jeep

Used by Officers, VIPs, Recon, etc.

Military Truck

Transports infantry/supplies to the front, used to rapidly move up the frontline or support armored spearheads.

MBT - T-120B Valkyrie

Despite its name, the tank is combat-adaptable to all situations and can fire a round every 4.5 seconds with the use of its autoloader, it is the replacement of the T-120A models.

IFV - Lynx

Although its design is from a vehicle used during the early 21st Century, the Lynx can carry troops into the battlefield quickly while having the power to punch above its weight class, produced in the countless as a heavy troop transport and infantry support.

APC - Black Cat

Protecting troops from small arms fire is no small feat, unlike the Lynx, the Black Cat only ferries troops to and from the frontlines, being lightly armed necessitates the escort of more armed vehicles if the area they operate is not neutralized of hostile anti-vehicle troops.

Motorized Rocket Artillery - Stormfire

Used to rain hundreds of unguided rockets into enemy positions or sew havoc during an enemy's advance, they are most effective when used in-mass, capable of destroying everything in a designated area

Mechanized Rocket Artillery - Hellfire

Tracked Rocket Artillery, it can move through more rougher terrain than Stormfires, capable of carrying much more powerful warheads at the cost of fewer rockets fired per salvo.

SPG - Spearhead

Mobile, Powerful, and if used effectively, invulnerable. Having a range of 30km, Spearheads are the main mobile artillery piece in the third-era Ground Forces, more Spearheads means more destruction for the enemy.

Heavy SPG - Long Lance

Able to effectively hit targets at 50 kilometers or farther, the Lance fulfilled the role of long-rang fire support/harassment when enemy forces have air superiority over the battlefield, in platoons, they can decimate rear-line defenses while Mechanized and Armored units punch through.

SPAAG - Fliegerfaust

Anti-air cannons, G2A missiles, and a sophisticated spot-and-track radar. It is essential to protect Ground forces from enemy aerial attacks from afar or near.

Advanced SPAAG - Sagittarius

Mounted on a Lynx chassis, the Sagittarius uses a highly-accurate supercharged laser weapon instead of standard anti-air weapons, although complex to maintain the Sagittarius is the most effective in preventing the enemy from achieving air superiority if they lack anti-beam coating.

Humanoid Combat Suit (HCS):

HCS are large 18 meter tall robots used for the purpose of construction or combat operations, these towering machines dominate battlefields alongside tanks, aircraft, and infantry. Criticism has been put on Agent Blue for continuously advocating specialized-type units requiring extensive maintenance instead of mass-producable models, much to the ire of Agent Red and Black.

Object 1008 [In Storage]

Not classified as a variant, it is an intact example retrieved by salvage probes following a zero-gravity battle between two opposing forces in the Omega Sector of the Frontier. Inspected by the NIA, the machine contained a pilot in comatose and retrieved. All information from the pilot and the machine itself were later handed over to the DRD for reverse-engineering.

MX-01 [Decommissioned]

A modified reverse-engineered copy of Object 1008, it was produced in limited numbers and combat-tested in the Orion sector where the VAF had been fighting humanoids with access to thaumaturgy and technomancy, the introduction of the MX-01 produced desirable results after several planets had fallen using infiltration tactics by the HCS. Total victory was achieved in several months while before it was predicted that the thaumaturgical species would only fall after a decade.

MX-02 [In Service]

After the experience gained by the 01, the 02 was made as an independent a mass produceable machine for the VAF, however it suffered from thin armor and countermeasures when fighting against infantry in urban environments, its combat debut was less than satisfactory with the MX-01s proving itself time and time again to be the superior design. After only a few years in service they were retired from frontline duty, surviving units have been assigned to defense garrisons deep within controlled territory.

MX-03 [In Service]

The third iteration of the HCS, it improves on the 02 variant by fixing the issues of its predecessor but also improving in other areas such as increasing operational time and armor protection in absorbing direct hits to its body. More powerful weapons reversed-engineered from battlefield recoveries of foreign enemy units continue the improvement of the Humanoid Combat Suits. This MX series would receive heavy losses during the expansion of the frontier to finally consolidate contested Valkyrie space.

Model reference: RGM-79S GM Spartan

MX-04 [In Service]

Included in the 4th modernization program for the VAF, it is the current frontline HCS in service, unlike previous designs it possesses a miniaturized shield generator and soft kill protection. Addressing a serious issue where 40% of HCS units were lost in urban areas from infantry combatants in buildings or booby traps emplaced beforehand, a new reactor also gives the MX-04 access to new powerful weapons and upgraded targeting system. The MX-04 would be the first HCS the VAF would use for its MS Carriers which were experimented with the MX-03.

VX-100 Zero [Decommissioned]

Following the proposal by Agent Blue to Agent Silver and Agent Red, who was described as being "excited" after the successful deployments of the MX-01s, the "Neo-Gundam" project was initiated with the purpose of "Combating opponents who are in possession of similar mechs with the fighting strength comparable to an armada of first-rate warships". The Project resulted in the creation of the VX-100, the design based on a Mobile Suit called "Rx-93 v" from the fictional Earth Federation archived in the Human library (Human internet). However, combat testing had led to the cancellation and recycling of the VX-100 after it was heavily damaged during an encounter with hostile forces.

Model Reference: Rx-93 Nu Gundam

VX-101 Anvil [Decommissioned]

The VX-101 was designed and tested to replace the VX-100 after unsatisfactory results and its loss. Its exterior is based on the GAT-X015 Strike Gundam but upgraded with faster thrusters and powered by a compact fusion reactor, data compiled from combat reports of MX units have made the VX-101's AI capable in adapting to any opponent's strategy and calculate counter-actions to defeat them in detail.

PVX-102-A Ghost [Lost]

Before its disappearance onboard Freighter MF-111190, PVX-102-A was the result of Agent Black's secret testing of experimental technology and miniaturized warship-type weaponry intended for future VX-series units, its armor coating made it immune to energy and ballistic weaponry but with slight drawbacks. The machine also incorporated nano bot technology, capable of using local biomass to replenish ammunition and repair any damages inflicted on it, theoretically giving it an unlimited combat operations time. An autonomous AI was also installed similar to the Anvil unit, ensuring that even cut off from higher chain of command, it will follow pre-programmed orders to achieve victory during isolation.

Model Reference: MSN-001X Gundam Delta Kai

PVX-102-B Helios [Decommissioned]

An upgraded version of Apollyon, it was secretly tested several decades before the official intervention of Planet MV-A02 during Operation: Crush Bugs. Seeing high success, its anti-beam coating was instrumental in saving the machine from demises it would've inevitably come across. It was shipped back for trials before ultimately being dismantled and the data collected from the frame passed on to the VX-103-G line.

VX-103-G Mass Production Type [In service]

Reprimanded for the lost of PVX-102-A and unauthorized use of DRD Technology, Agent Black was ordered to make up for his failure by finally producing results for the VX line after the first four models were only single one-off units. In cooperation with the DRD, the VX-103-G MPT was the result, using technical data from the PVX-102-B it outperformed the MX-03s by a wide margin. Grouped in specialized units, the VX-103-G finally satisfied the VAF's need of more firepower for their Ground-type HCS units.

VX-104 Starlight [In Development; Testing phase]

In lieu for the failures that resulted in the attempt of creating a HCS model capable of total battlefield supremacy. The Starlight Program was initiated following the transfer of remaining assets from the Nu-Gundam Project. Its purpose was to finally procure a machine capable of meeting the requirements of air superiority and atmospheric/non-atmospheric flight capability, using a pre-acquired Gundam model from the human library, the DRD was able to build the HCS according to most of its original specifications. However the Starlight has yet to be approved for production, the machine still in testing face due to pushback by Agent Red who is reluctant to introduce it immediately into service due to the VX series past failures.

Model Reference: [Classified until further notice]

VX-105 Mass Production Type [In Development]

Currently in-development, it is scheduled to replace the VX-103-G MPT in the near-future.
