Xenudah gazed down at his hands, clenching them into fists. He would get his revenge on his father one way or another, whether Yakunan liked it or not. Gripping his sword out of its sheath, Xenudah stepped out of his house and into the sunlight of the Sea of Sand. He slashed at a rattlesnake that slithered nearby, causing some sand to come off the ground, cutting it in half. Good riddance…

He let out a shuddering sigh, taking flight once more. He would go to the Island of Darkness, bide his time, become stronger, then take care of his father once and for all. Sure, he didn't want to call Yakunan that, but he didn't have any other way of referring to him. That wretched being was his archenemy now, and he had to kill him.

He'd make sure of it.

He'd kill everyone in Ninjago, even his own family if they ever got in his way.

But deep down, he didn't want that.

Deep down, he wanted his family back…

But the evil in his veins was too strong to resist.

He gazed down at the blade he had used to kill the serpent as a memory resurfaced from so long ago.

Yakunan was in the cave with Hikari, working on a new weapon when Xenudah, who was around 10 years old now, walked into the cave.

"Woah…" Xenudah gasped, his eyes widened in surprise at the curvy blade.

"It's for you, my son…" Yakunan smiled, handing it to his boy.

Xenudah examined the blade for a few minutes before pulling a pebble from the ground. He threw the stone into the air and impaled the rock. The rock fell back to the ground, a perfect hole right in the middle of it.

"You have mastered the ways of the blade, my son!" Yakunan laughed heartily.

"Can I go outside?" Xenudah asked, handing the blade back to Yakunan.

Yakunan tossed the blade aside and smiled at his son, "Go ahead."

"See you later, dad!" Xenudah ran outside, taking the blade with him and running into the forest. He jumped down a hill and landed in a ditch. He skidded to a stop in front of a small pond that he had discovered. He stared at the pond, and then at the blade that he now had.

"I wonder…what if I threw that at the water?" Xenudah said to himself, tossing the blade at the pond. It hit the water with a thump and made a hole in the water. Xenudah stared at the hole, taking one step forward. He was about to reach his hand through the hole when he saw the water "blowing" in his face.

Xenudah jumped back with a yelp of excitement, getting out of the ditch. He gasped as the blade was pulled from the water. It was now nearly as sharp as a razor. Xenudah inspected the blade, checking its edge. It had not taken any of the edge off. He shrugged and tossed the blade back into the water. The blade sunk right to the bottom of the pond.

"C'mon… I'll make you stronger." Xenudah said knowingly.

He waited a few minutes, turning slowly around and looking for something. He finally saw it: a small, dry bush at the very bottom of the pond. Xenudah took a deep breath and dove into the pond, going straight to the bush. He grabbed the bush and yanked it. The bush immediately pulled from the ground, the blade still wedged within its roots. Xenudah held the bush in one hand, the blade in the other. The two stuck in the ground as one. Xenudah pulled out the bush and looked at the ground. The bush had come out easily, and he could see the blade come free out of the ground. Xenudah yanked it out, and the blade came free. He looked at the blade, then crashed it right into the ground. The blade sank right into the ground and then came out clean. Xenudah pulled the blade out of the ground. He picked it up, snickers coming from him. He ran out of the ditch and straight to the cave.

"Xenu, you've grown up so much…" Yakunan whispered, watching as his son put the blade against a rock, before coming to embrace him tight. "I'm so proud of you, little one. I'm sure you'll do great things one day."

Xenudah shook his head at the memory. So much for that. He scowled down at the blade, using his dark powers combined with his creation element to change it into a different shape. Instead, it became a staff, with dark, sharp points that seemed to resemble obsidian. He grinned at the new creation, his eyes glowing a vivid blue-purple. It's time… They'll come back, and there'll be nothing Yakunan and those cursed ninja can do to stop me!

Xenudah took off, gliding ever so softly through the air, making no sound as his wings propelled him forward. The faster he got to the Dark Island, the faster he could get his revenge on his so-called father who ruined his entire life.

Making his way closer to the Dark Island, Xenudah stopped when he reached the beach. He glared at the ship, the Destiny's Bounty, before shooting a flame at it, causing the ship to create a massive bonfire.

He turned his anger to the sea, causing some sand to come up and kill a fish. The body floated to the surface. Soon they'll realize they should not have messed with me from the very beginning. I'll kill them all and nothing will be left unturned.
