Xenudah stormed through the camp that Garmadon used to live in back when he was on the island. He found Garmadon's tent, and he flipped the bed over, before burning the entire tent down.

"Why?! Why did he do it? To get me back?" Xenudah murmured, his hands balling into fists. "I don't get it. All he did was ruin my life. I'll kill him if he ever comes near me again!" he spat. He ripped a tent out of the earth, and continued to rage. "I'll rip him apart and make him suffer! I'll kill him!" he raged, before pushing another tent down the side of the mountain. After the echo of the tent bouncing off the rocks faded away, there was silence. The remaining tents and huts were now empty, and all the camp was destroyed.

Xenudah left camp, vowing to kill Yakunan. He wandered to a mountain close to one of the very few places on the island that had any trees. He would live there, alone, like a hermit, until his time for revenge arrived. He erected a tent on the side of the mountain, with lots of nooks that he could hide in. The most important thing was that there was one tree nearby, and plenty of nuts and fruits on it. There were also rocks for him to throw, and for his anger to burst.

He sat quietly, staring at the mountain range in the distance, until his anger subsided. He tried to relay his thoughts to himself as he sparred with his staff… I can't stay angry at him forever… I'll kill him, one day. I won't stay angry for long. I'll have my revenge. I just want it all to be over now… One day, I will rip the life out of HIM!

The conflicting thoughts in his mind seemed to overtake him. He tossed his staff aside, flailing his arms up, launching an energy ball upwards, releasing his anger with it. The glowing ball disappeared into the clouds. He concentrated, and fired another one, this time smashing into a nearby old, dried-up tree, causing it to collapse. He flung another one into the wall of the mountain. It exploded, and he was left panting.

He fell to his knees, his entire body shaking as he burst into sobs. He cried for all the things he had been through, and all the injustices he had suffered. He cried for his child and his lost love. He cried for Yakunan, Hikari, and by extension, the Kamiare family, who brought him to this. He pulled his knees to his chest, and rocked back and forth on the mountainside, letting his tears overflow.

Deep within, all he wanted was his father back. He missed him so much, but the darkness that had taken over him made that feeling practically impossible. He just had one mission, and it didn't matter who got in his way, he was going to do it. He sat there for an hour in silence. I'll have my revenge. I'll kill him one day. I swear it.

He closed his eyes, feeling the darkness that was his mind slowly dissipate, as he drifted into sleep for the first time in days.

Yakunan sighed, having woken up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep. The longing for his child only grew, and he began to sob quietly, gazing out into the window of the apartment. He tried to fall asleep again but the emotions in his soul were far too strong to resist. Lloyd walked into the living room, unable to sleep either.

"Are you okay?" he asked, gently putting his hand on Yakunan's shoulder. "You're a mess."

"I'm fine. It's just...the same torturous nightmare..." Yakunan had been dreaming about Xenudah again recently, the thought of losing him again too much to bear at this point. "I just don't want to lose Xenudah again…" He choked back another sob. "I could never live with myself if anything ever happened to him…"

"I'm so sorry…" Lloyd whispered, pulling his fluffy mint-green blanket to his chest, as he let his eyes fall shut for just a moment.

"Lloyd…I'm afraid. I'm afraid I'll lose him again. It hurt so much the first time, I don't think I could handle it again." Yakunan said, his sadness overwhelming him.

"Hey…" Lloyd said, his voice soft. "It's okay to be scared. But don't let the fear get a hold on you." He let out a small sigh before sitting down on the couch. "It's just…neither of us can change the past, but we can make the present as happy as possible. I mean, I'm sure Xenudah has his own share of problems, too."

"You're wise beyond your years, Lloyd. Your father must be so proud to have a son like you." Yakunan smiled sadly as he said that.

"Thank you."

"No, thank you. And...if you don't mind, can you stay here? I'm feeling quite lonely."

Lloyd nodded. Already, even despite everything that happened between them, Yakunan felt like a grandfather figure, someone to look up to and talk advice with.

"Rest your eyes, Yakunan. I'll stay here with you all night."

Lloyd nestled his head on Yakunan's lap, who responded by lightly running his fingers through his hair. Lloyd purred in content, causing Yakunan to softly chuckle. Yakunan's eyes closed as darkness overcame him. Visions of Xenudah flashed in his mind as he fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, Xenudah woke up, feeling greatly refreshed. That night, his primary thought was, the story must continue. True, his original motivation for the story was gone, however, he was now driven by his hatred for all the people around him. He would keep writing the story, and it would be bad. He was going to make sure of that. All he had to do was let the story flow through him. He was going to run with it, because it was what he did best. He had to be relevant, powerful, and if he had to be evil to be that way, then so be it.

He grinned sinisterly as he gripped his staff, summoning the Oni from a nearby realm. He would wreak havoc, he would find a way to make his target suffer so painfully, that they would want to dissolve in pain. The people would suffer, and he would enjoy it. He would bring the story to a tragic conclusion. There would be blood, and he relished it. It was the only way he could make sense of all these feelings piling up inside of him, and he was going to make them pay for what they had done.

"I will destroy anyone who stands in the way of our story. I will make the Kamiare family and Yakunan pay for all of their sins." Xenudah said, powering up a couple of Oni. He was ready to go do what he was meant to do. "Everything will be restored to me in the end. My story will see its ending."

He looked to his cold, looming Oni legion. "We will destroy all that stands in our way. And when I do, I will hold the world in our hands. I will have what I want. This story will become a legend, and all will be put to right. Our story must be written right."

"And the world will be in our hands...when we're done with it!" Xenudah fumed with joy. "I will write this story the way I want! I will be a great ruler, a deity of maliciousness, I will have plenty of power, and I will have my revenge against those who have done me wrong!" Xenudah laughed, before turning to his army. "No one shall stop me and I will have it all!"

He was so enthralled by the idea of what he wanted to do. His very purpose was to finish what he had started. He wanted to see no one standing in his way.
