Hear me out.

I've had this story idea in my head for YEARS.. I started writing this a long time ago, and for whatever reason this is the turn I wanted the story to take.

Yes. It was always planned out.

Yes. I promise you this story line has a reason.

Yes. The next chapter is the final one.

I have been reading every single review. I have had this chapter written out in a journal that i threw away, hence why it took so long for me to type out. I hope I did my first draft the justice now.

Tell me how you feel!

Trees. Snow. Snow and trees.

They passed so many, it was becoming a slow movie for Beck. He decided to leave that night. In the middle of the night, he left a day before everyone. He was going to go back home. An empty apartment because he knew no one was waiting for him back in his apartment. Jade had left her key and she had every right to do so.

He took a lonely seat on the train, after getting a ride from an Uber, he sat there and thought of all the things he would say to her when he saw her next.

Andre's words echoed deep within him. Had he been that stupidly, selfish?

Yes! His inner voice screamed at him. He hugged his jacket closer to him, as he stared at more snow, all the lights passed him at a speed he couldn't form his thoughts in.

No matter at her choice, he was going to linger back and watch out for her from afar. He also contemplated keeping away from her completely. But he knew deep down that that was mission impossible.

Even when they were not together, he brought her up every chance he got. Robbie knew nothing of his hidden agenda. And he planned on keeping it that way.

As soon as the bus made it to Bakersfield, he got off and searched for a hotel, or a bus ride back to Los Angeles. He thought of renting out a car but he was too tired to even think of a three hour drive back to the city.

When his Uber arrived at the hotel he thanked the old man and took his bags. He walked defeatedly towards the bellman and gave him his reservation number. It was well past two in the morning when he reached the elevator when the bell dinged at the same time his phone vibrated against his hip.

"What the fuck?"

"Beck!?" Robbie's voice boomed on the other end.

"Rob, what's up? It's late you know, you have a long drive ahea-"

"It's Tori."

Beck's breath hitched against his throat. And time stood still.

"What's wrong?"

Robbie's words sounded muffled. All he could make out is help, trouble and Tori. His feet took him to the receptionist and he could hear himself talk about any arrangements for LA. The best they could do was a shuttle bus to the bus stop, but he took it. Robbie and Cat were making their way back to the city. He knew she was in trouble.

Beck ran his hand over his hair over and over, as he texted Cat to get ahold of her parents, her dad, anyone in the police force to go over and do a wellness check on Tori.

"Hi, this is Sergeant Mark Vega, you know what to do. Beep."

"Hi, Mark, this is Beck. I need you to send as many patrol men to Tori's apartment, she needs help. It's an emergency. Please."

Tori opened her eyes, struggling to keep them open as she saw a figure walk above her.

"Why are you doing this?"

"You PLAYED ME. Like a fucking fool! Who do you think I am?! Begging for your attention!"

She felt his cold fingers across her swollen cheeks.

"Stop!" Tori cried, "please stop!"

"No. You fucking had your chance for me to 'stop'. But you didn't take my warning signs seriously. You left. You went away with them. You were to remain here. BUT you simply don't listen. Do you?!"

Her breath was knocked out from his shoe to her stomach.

Her eyes searched her trashed apartment, searching for something to help her out. She couldn't make out his face but that voice, that cold voice she couldn't quite place. It was all too familiar.

"I'm sorry. I should've listened-"

"No. No. NO! You don't get to apologize. You don't get to get in my head and make me out to be the bad guy. You think I planned on coming here and doing this? You think i wanted to break into your apartment after shutting that stupid old neighbor of yours?"

Tori's swollen eyes searched her apartment, her head moved to the front door where she saw Allan's body, down by the door. They were the last two condos on the street, she would have to scream with all her might to get anyone's attention.

"If you had JUST LISTENED. I didn't stress it enough for you? I didn't spell it out that I WANTED you JUST for me? Are you that dense?" Jeffery came down inches away from her face. She smelt a faint hint of alcohol.

Tori knew Jeffery was on antidepressants from having a history of bad thoughts. He had a history of substance abuse and Tori pitied him. She saw him as a broken guy, and was in awe of a guy who actually loved to share his emotions and past as an open book. It was a new territory for Tori and she fell for it all. She looked at him with sad eyes, knowing he slipped. He confessed to her that he does that from time to time and it takes him a moment to get his head on straight. She was stuck in the middle of one of his episodes.

Tori had made it home late at night, she had Cat's number dialed on her phone, she pressed the call button, waiting for the first ring when she opened the door to get bombarded from behind. He threw himself on top of her, she screamed for Allan and struggled to get him off her. He slapped her. She felt every single ring he wore on her right hand, three.

She welcomed the darkness, paralyzed with pain. The last thing her mind flashed to was Beck, as she slipped she could hear Cat's worried voice come from her phone.

"Tori's mine now." His cold voice spoke. Dial tone.

"You didn't come here to hurt anyone, Jeffery, let me live."

His cold laugh shook something inside her, as he bent over her body, his cold fingers brushing across her clothes body, "you think i came here to kill you? Don't be like every weak girl out there Tor. Be better than them. Be a fighter. Show me what you have inside you. Let that fire burn. I know you have it in you."

She felt his cold breath across her face, his lips kissed her bruised face, giving her chaste kiss on her bloodied lips. He moaned as he lowered himself on top of her. Her groans of pain aroused him deeply as he got rough as he kissed down her neck, freely touching her body.

"Stop." Her voice trembled.

"I cant hear you Tori."

"I said STOP." Tori yelled as she balled her fist on his hair and tugged, kicking with all the energy she could muster.

Jeffery groaned at the blows and pulled back to get her hands off his hair.

Tori stood up, shaking her fingers from the hair she ripped off his scalp, limping around trying to find a safe haven. Her bathroom had a lock, the only door in her condo with a lock.

"There she is." He said wickedly.

Tori closed the door and put her weight on top of it, she looked around her messed up bathroom. He had been in here for a while and took anything she could use as a weapon. She felt like giving up, her body was tired, all the energy draining as she started to feel hopeless.

When her dad's encouraging words ignited something deep inside her.

'Stop, breathe. Look around the room. Anything is a weapon if you use it properly. Anything.'

Tori cried with happiness. Her dad became a sergeant when she was in middle school and he was very persistent in teaching her and Trina how to take care of themselves.

'I'll always be your number one protector but I'm not always going to be with you. And I hope you never have to use any of these tricks I'll be showing you. But I will be damned to not teach my two reasons for living, every resource of self defense.'

Tori could hear Jeffery whistle to himself as he rummaged through her house, his footsteps sounding more and more distant. Tori saw her curling iron tucked away behind her make up box, the one she forgot to put away before leaving for the trip.

She hesitated leaving the door, afraid Jeffery would sense her not blocking it and coming for her. She listened against the door as her mind calculated every single next move she was planning.

One. Two. Thre-

"HANDS UP WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM!"

Her hands went up to her mouth, as she heard bodies struggling against the floor, the cries of Jeffery as more cops were trying to slow him down.

"I had every reason to do what I did! I did it for love. I did it for her. She loves me and I love her. Let me go! Let me be with the love of my life!"

Tori sobbed, broken on the ground against her door, afraid of moving thinking it was part of Jeffery's mind tricks.

She heard the sirens, saw red and blue lights flashing around her living space, the sound of the fire truck and ambulance.

"Tor! Tori? Where are you?"

Tori scrambled to her feet, her hands shaking against the bathroom door knob, a sob escaping her body as she opened the door. A flashlight shining against her swollen face, blinding her even more along with her tears flowing down.

"Dad."

"Oh, Tori."

Daughter and father embracing each other, Tori clung to her dad's jacket, her broken sobs making her chest feel like it was going to collapse against her heart.

"Dad. Allan, is Allan-"

"I am so sorry sweetheart."

Tori's heart couldn't bear any more pain, her legs gave up from underneath her, her world became deadly silent as it all became black.

Beck found an Uber that drove him the rest of the way, he couldn't think straight, his phone was about to die from all the calls and text messages he was sending.

"Hey man, I'm sure whatever you did, she's going to forgive you." Jake, his Uber driver, reassured him.

"Thanks." Beck said as he swallowed the lump.

The next fifteen minutes to Tori's condo was spent silent, Beck looking at his phone for any kind of notification.

A bing broke his trance of passing by traffic, it was Cat.

'It's bad Beck.'

"Hey man?" Jake's voice broke him from his phone screen.

The second Beck looked up, he knew how bad it was.

Sirens, lights, trucks and ambulances, he was still a block away and he could make it out perfectly that they were parked in front of Tori's.

"No." Beck couldn't finish his thought, he jumped out of Jake's slowly moving car.

He ran the rest of the way, he saw two men putting up caution tape around her front yard and porch, he saw a black body bag, and the corner. His hands fisted his hair in frustration, looking everywhere for the love of his life.

"Tori!? Anyone know where Tori Vega is!?" Beck looked around, no one looked his way, was he not being clear enough?

"Tori!?" Beck yelled, "Where are you?" He looked left, right and left again. He did a complete circle. He tried running in her house, two men in black uniforms stopped him before his foot hit her porch.

"Sorry, this is a crime scene. Only law enforcement and homicide is allowed in."

"Homicide?"

"There was a single murder in this house, are you a relative?"

Beck's world stopped.

This was not happening. This could not be happening.
