Hey guys! I know these updates seem to be coming at the last possible second, and this one is a bit late. I just have a lot on my plate right now, and I might have to move my stories to being updated once a week instead of biweekly, because these next couple of weeks are a bit busy for me.

Thank you for the neverending support and kindness! I'm still trying my hardest to update! ILY all!

Disclaimer: I don't own Divergent.

Today is the second meeting with Eaton Enterprises and Feeding America for the big event. Things moved fairly slow, and Tobias was nowhere to be seen when Tris entered, much to her dismay.

Her Columbia application is due by midnight tonight, so she'll need to get home and submit it on time, if she's still going to do that. She hasn't decided yet. She's been trying to stay focused on the tasks assigned to her today, but her mind keeps drifting off to Tobias's drunken words and her own future looming ahead.

"You've been quiet, Beatrice. Are you okay?" Susan asks her, as they click away on the computer. They're trying to design an eye catching sign for the event that will draw attention towards it, but evidently, none of them have much graphic design experience.

"Yeah, Susan. I'm alright. What about you? I heard you and your family are headed down to Mexico for Christmas," Tris says, attempting to make polite conversation with her as she tries to change the sign to a red color. It doesn't work and the computer glitches for a second before the program crashes. "Well fuck. Why did they put inexperienced volunteers in charge of this?"

Susan laughs nervously. "Umm… yes. Should be fun! We've summered in Los Cabos and Cancun before but we've never been down there for winter. We actually invited Caleb as well, but he said he'd much rather like to spend the holidays with family this year. He's so sweet like that."

Tris looks up at her and blinks in surprise, "He said that?" She asks, her heart warming a bit.

Susan flashes her a genuine smile. "Of course he did. He loves you a lot you know. And… he sort of worries about you."

Tris tries her best to look nonchalant as she turns back to the computer and tries to reopen the program. "Why would he need to worry about me?"

"Just… with everything that happened with your father. You can talk to us, Beatrice. We're here for you and we're both very understanding."

Tris feels annoyed that Susan is acting like she and Caleb are her parents, but she feels even more annoyed that she's acting like a better parent than her own mother. "Thank you, Susan. But I'm doing alright. I promise. Caleb just likes to act as if I'm unhinged to make himself feel better and seem like the concerned brother. Clearly the act worked on you."

"Beatrice," Susan says, in a patronizing and scolding tone.

"Susan," Tris shoots back in the same tone, staring at her levelly. Susan quickly swallows and looks away and Tris smirks in victory, but in reality she doesn't feel like she won anything.

The awkward tension is quickly relieved when Christina approaches. "Oh god," she says, looking at the computer. "Who put you two in charge of this?"

Tris presses her lips together, "Tyson."

Christina rolls her eyes, "Of course. And he gave you the most shit computer. Tyson! Volunteers don't know how to do graphic design!" She shouts at him.

Tyson raises his hands defensively, "My bad, Ms. Allen," he says meekly.

Christina sighs and looks back to Susan and Tris. "You two can put the computer away and have a seat on the floor. Tobias is going to address the group as a whole for the first time today and then you're free to go home."

Susan and Tris nod and begin packing up their things, when Tris finally sees Tobias enter the room from one of the side doors. She quickly turns around and tries to conceal herself from her gaze, getting rather embarrassed about the events that transpired between them a couple of days ago. He probably doesn't even remember.

She takes a seat on the floor, a few feet away from Susan as she's still irritated with her, and waits as Tobias approaches the center of the room and attempts to gather everyone's attention. He is unsuccessful.

"Hey!" Christina shouts loudly from next to him, and everyone's attention now snaps to where they stand. "You're welcome," she mutters to Tobias.

Looking at Tobias now, Tris can see some dark circles protruding from his eyes, and his hair is tousled and sticking up on several sides. Even his suit is a bit rumpled, it looks like it has been slept in. Tris gets worried for him again. She had hoped that whatever was troubling him so much was just a one time incident, but it appears not.

"Hello," he says evenly, addressing the group. "For those of you who haven't met me yet, I'm Tobias Eaton, and I am running this event. I just would like to thank Feeding America for their partnership and assistance. It is a pleasure to be working with you." His eyes then skirt over Tris's before moving away very quickly, and Tris swears she sees a blush bloom across his neck and the tips of his ears. She can't help but smile.

Tobias then spends the next couple of minutes discussing the event and how the group is going to start putting things together, as well as what his vision is. When he's done he thanks everyone for their time and sends them off.

Tris is putting on her coat, planning to walk home because she already knows that Caleb will lecture her in the car for how she talked to Susan, when Tobias approaches her. "Hey, Tris," he says, looking exhausted and beaten down and embarrassed.

"Oh, hey," Tris replies, as nonchalantly as possible.

"Look… I- uh, I'm sorry about whatever you saw. Or however I behaved a couple of days ago. Obviously I was inebriated and wasn't being myself. I don't remember much of it anyway," he tells her, scratching the back of her neck.

Tris has many questions, such as; Do you really not remember or are you just embarrassed? Does that mean that everything you said to me wasn't true? And, what caused you to drink so heavily? But for his sake, she doesn't push him. "Oh, you weren't too much out of the ordinary. It's not a big deal, you didn't say much," she fibs.

Tobias nods, looking relieved but also a bit confused. Tris is turning to leave now when he stops her. "Look… uh, I'm meeting Zeke and Shauna again tonight and they want you to come."

"Oh?" Tris raises her eyebrows. "Is it just Zeke and Shauna who want me to come?"

Now his face is definitely getting a bit red, and Tris can't help but grin. "No… I want you to come as well. We won't keep you out as late as we did last time, though. And no drinking this time. I promise."

Tris weighs her options in her head. Why not put off deciding her Columbia fate for a couple more hours? "Okay… I'm in."

Tobias flashes her a genuine smile, "Great. But uh… can we make a stop at my apartment first? I want to change into some of my uh… regular clothes," he gestures down at his attire, "cuz you know, Zeke and Shauna don't really know about this life."

"Sure, but how do they think we know each other then?" Tris asks him as they begin to head over to the exit.

"Um…" Tobias looks down. "Well, they're a bit convinced that you and I are… together… in that way. Apparently some things I did while I was drunk seemed to indicate that."

"Oh," Tris can feel her cheeks burning. "I can't imagine what," she lies. It's so obvious that she's lying too, but he doesn't press any further. He probably doesn't want to know.

"I denied it, by the way," he says quickly, "But once those two are set on a theory…"

Tris waves a hand, "Oh yeah. I understand. It's- fine."

They cross paths with Christina on their way out, who gives them a knowing look. "Wow, look who's leaving together!" She pipes up cheerfully, and then scurries away before either of them have the chance to respond.

Tris sighs, shaking her head, and then her phone buzzes with a text from Caleb.

Susan told me what happened. Where are you? We need to talk.

Tris groans as she types out a response. "What's up?" Tobias asks her, as they make their way outside into the freezing air.

"Nothing, it's just my dickwad of a brother." She grumbles, pressing send on the text.

going to get something to eat. see u at home in a couple hours.

"What about you? Any siblings?" Tris asks as they slide into his town car. She thanks the driver for holding the door open for her.

"Nope," Tobias says. "Just me."

"Wow," Tris muses, "That seems…"

"Lonely," he finishes. "But I really can't complain anymore. My life is going pretty well now."

Tris wants to argue that drinking yourself senseless isn't 'going pretty well', but she holds her tongue and they're silent for the short ride up to his apartment.

Tobias hops out and tells Tris that he'll just be a moment before dashing into his building. Meanwhile, Tris and his driver Simon, make idle chit chat and she learns that he has 2 twin daughters and a pet cat, as well as a wife who works as a housekeeper for Marcus Eaton.

Soon Tobias re-emerges, not decked out in leather this time, but in a nice overcoat with a knit sweater and jeans. Tris gives him an appreciative glance as he slides into the car. "What place are we headed to again?"

"It's just this diner," he says, and gives Simon the directions.

"Very nice outfit for a diner," Tris muses.

Tobias shrugs, "Lately I've been trying to find a medium in between the person my father thinks I am and the person my friends think I am. I feel like that can be reflected in clothing so…"

Tris smiles, "What, may I ask, is the incentive for finding this medium?"

The side of his mouth quirks up, "Nothing in particular."

Tris grins the rest of the way to the diner.

When Tris and Tobias enter the diner Zeke, Shauna, and Uriah all give them knowing looks.

"Uriah!" Tris exclaims, trying to divert the attention from her and Tobias. "Wasn't expecting you here."

"I didn't think my mom would let me come, but lately she's been more chill about me hanging out with you guys."

"Well that's good," Tris says, sliding into the booth next to him and taking off her coat.

Uriah grins, "You look pretty," he says, gesturing to Tris's large cable knit sweater and her thick fleece leggings.

Tobias slides into the booth next to her and she sees him scowling in her peripheral vision. Tris rolls her eyes. "Your mom warned me you were a flirt."

"Oh, my bad, I forgot it was unwarranted because of you and…" he nods his head over to Tobias.

Zeke and Shauna start laughing as Tobias and Tris shake their heads. Tris wants to insist that nothing is happening between them but she doesn't want to offend Tobias… and she'd be lying if she said she wanted nothing to be happening between them.

"Alright, Tris, so here's the scoop," Zeke says, leaning in, "See that waitress?" He nods over to a pretty blonde girl bobbing around the restaurant taking orders with a bright smile on her face.

"Mhm," Tris says.

"That is Marlene… Uriah's childhood crush."

Uriah shakes his head, "She was really the one that got away."

"You were seven," Zeke says drily. "Anyways, poor Uri recognized her instantly, and she made eye contact with all of us but didn't seem to remember him. But if luck is on our side she'll be serving us."

Uriah rubs his hands together, "Even a seven year old knows what true love is, Zeke."

Tris scoffs, "You were flirting with me 2 seconds ago and then you claim that your true love is 10 feet away."

"Hey, I'm always into threesomes," Uriah turns to her and waggles his eyebrows. Tris just shakes her head, smiling, and she feels Tobias scoot a bit closer to her.

"Ooh, incoming," Zeke says, nodding toward Marlene who is approaching now.

"Hello," she says brightly, her eyes skirting over everyone at the table, "Welcome to The Pit. I'm Marlene, I'll be your server today. Is this your first time dining with us?"

Everyone is staring at her in silence, waiting for some sign of recognition. She blinks a couple times.

"Yes," Shauna says finally, "This is our first time."

"Oh okay great!" Marlene goes into discussing the menu and her favorite items and how she loves the chocolate cake, but it seems like everyone is paying attention to Uriah's hopefulness deflating.

"So… why don't we start off by ordering drinks then…?" She asks, sensing the weird tension at the table.

"Um… sure, I'll just have a strawberry milkshake." Tris says quickly.

"I'll have a water," Tobias says gruffly.

"Cookies and cream milkshake," Shauna pipes up. Marlene nods, jotting this all down.

"I… am wondering what you prefer more… the regular lemonade or the strawberry lemonade?" Zeke asks her.

Marlene blinks. "Um… strawberry if you want a kick, I guess." She answers kindly and Zeke nods.

Everyone's attention now drifts to Uriah, who is looking down solemnly. "And for you…?" Marlene asks, glancing down at him.

"Um… just a water." Uriah answers tightly, avoiding eye contact with her.

"Okay…" Marlene says, furrowing her eyebrows, still looking at him. "I'm sorry… you just remind me a lot of someone…"

This has gotten everyone's attention now, they all look to Uriah excitedly who has now lifted his head, grinning at Marlene.

"Wait… Uriah? Is that you?" Marlene asks, hopefully.

"Sure is, Mar. Long time no see." Uriah replies.

"Wow, this is…" Marlene is shaking her head, beaming, but then her eyes shoot to Uriah's arm bumped against Tris's, and a bit of disappointment flashes in her eyes. "A crazy coincidence..." She finishes softly, looking down.

Uriah instantly slides a couple inches away from Tris. "Uh… let me introduce you to everyone! You might remember my brother Zeke, and that's his girlfriend Shauna," they both smile and wave at Marlene who returns the gesture. "And here is Zeke's friend Tobias, and his girlfriend Tris."

Tris and Tobias both stiffen up in surprise, but now that Marlene seems a lot happier that Tris is introduced as Tobias's girlfriend, they realize they don't have another choice. Tobias wraps an arm uneasily around Tris and they both smile awkwardly at Marlene.

"Well, I'm clocking off in 15 minutes if you want to catch up?" She asks Uriah hopefully.

"Sounds good! See you then," he winks at Marlene who giggles as she walks away.

As soon as she's out of eyeshot Tris and Tobias turn in their seats to face Uriah. "What the hell?" Tris seethes.

"You saw the look she gave you and me! She was ready to dip! Come on! You guys just have to pretend for a little bit! Everyone already thinks you're dating anyway."

Tris and Tobias glower, but they both wordlessly agree that they'll do this for Uriah.

Eventually Marlene gets off her shift and chats with the rest of the group while they eat. Tris and Tobias end up splitting a slice of the chocolate cake for dessert, and Tris has to admit, it is really good.

"Aw, you two are so cute," Shauna coos, "Sharing cake."

Tris and Tobias can't protest this because Marlene is sitting right there so they just smile and nod, and Tris finds herself blushing a bit. Tobias was the one who had offered to share with her, whether it be to keep up false pretenses for Uriah or just because he wanted to, Tris has no idea. She's definitely enjoying this, though.

"So," Zeke says, signing the check. "Why don't we all head over to our apartment? We can watch a movie or something."

Tris knows, once again, that she should get back home to figure out her whole college situation, but she also does not want to go home and think about the weight of her future. This is a nice distraction. Besides, what would Marlene think if she just up and left?

"Sure," Marlene says warmly, "Do you all live together?"

"Nah," Uriah says, "I still live with my mom. Remember her?"

Marlene smiles and nods, "Yes, I do! And how is your dad doing?"

Everyone grows quiet for a moment, not knowing how to break the news that Zeke and Uriah's father is no longer with them, because it's not just the sort of thing you blurt out in the middle of a diner at 6 pm.

After a couple seconds Uriah speaks up, "He uh… passed away. But it's fine, really! It was a while ago."

Marlene's face falls. "Uri… I'm so sorry. I… don't know what to say." She admits, glancing around at everyone else.

"It's all good," Zeke waves a hand, "Really. He's dead, it's not like we can't stand to talk about him though. But to your earlier question, Tobias, Shauna, and I all live together."

"Oh?" Marlene asks, glancing to Tris. "And what about you?"

"Um, still living at home since I'm graduating this year," Tris answers quickly.

"Well, you and Tobias make such a cute couple, I wouldn't be surprised if you were eager to move in with him soon." Marlene says good naturedly.

"Yep," Tris responds tightly. I'm gonna kill Uriah.

"Okay, let's get a move on people," Zeke says to the group, as everyone slides out of the booth and makes their way outside.

Tris fastens her coat around herself and shivers. She absolutely hates Chicago weather. They make their way down the sidewalk, the apartment not being too far, and Tris notices that Zeke has his arm thrown around Shauna's shoulders, while she and Tobias are just strolling awkwardly, side by side.

Uriah seems to catch this as well, because he turns to them and gives them a glare that says 'act like a couple!' Tris exhales through her nose and uses her last nerve to lace Tobias's gloved hand in hers.

He doesn't shy away from this, in fact, he squeezes her hand tightly. Tris all of a sudden wishes there were no gloves between them so that she could feel his slender and soft hands against her own, as she did briefly on her birthday when they shook hands.

Marlene smiles at Tris, as if to say, 'Aw you two are adorable!' Little does she know, Tris thinks wryly to herself. Tris is already pretending so much in her life, why not pile on a fake relationship, right?

Marlene seems to be happy with all the romantic energy in the air, because she links her elbow with Uriah's and leans into him while they joke around. This gets a smile out of Tris, because she can already tell how good they would be together.

They walk back to the apartment making idle chit chat, and then everyone gets settled in the compact living room. The couch doesn't have enough room for all of them, so Tris offers to take up the floor, and Tobias, being the dutiful boyfriend, sits next to her.

Tris crosses her legs and leans forward, enjoying the warmth of the apartment. She allows Marlene to do most of the talking while Shauna whips up some hot chocolate for everyone. Tobias had announced that he was going to be right back a couple seconds ago and then disappeared mysteriously down their hallway.

As Tris and Marlene are discussing their plans after graduation -Marlene attends the public high school nearby- Tobias re-emerges with a handful of thick blankets. He tosses a couple onto the couch for the rest of the group to use, but saves the fluffiest and warmest one for him and Tris, sitting down next to her and draping it over them.

She smiles at him thankfully while Marlene fawns over how adorable they are again. She inches a little bit closer to him on the floor and hesitantly leans her head into his shoulder. He wraps one of his arms around her and she smiles a bit. Pretend or not, this is nice.

"Okay," Shauna says, approaching and handing everyone their hot chocolate mugs. To Tris's dismay, Tobias has to take his arm off of her to grab his. Despite the warm blanket, Tris feels cold now. "What are we watching?" Shauna asks them as she takes a seat next to Zeke on the couch.

"Something Christmasy! It is approaching afterward." Zeke answers.

Shauna fiddles with the remote for a while, trying to find something appropriate. Eventually they settle on Rudolph, and Tris sips her hot cocoa and tries to get into the holiday spirit. Christmases with the Prior's have always been decadent affairs, but not very sentimental. She wonders how they were in Tobias's childhood, especially because his mom left so early on.

She casts a glance at him, in what she hopes is a discreet manner, but she cannot read his expression as he watches Rudolph begin his adventure on the TV. "Why are you looking at me?" He whispers to her, his eyes still on the television.

She shrugs, her cheeks warming. "No reason… I'm glad you seem to be doing better though… you know from the drinking and smoking."

He smiles a little, though it doesn't reach his eyes. "Yeah, I'm trying."

Tris takes her free hand that's not gripping her mug to grasp his from underneath the blanket. He squeezes back as he did when they were walking outside, except this time she can feel his smooth palm against hers, she slides her short and flat fingers through his slender and delicate ones. They sit that way for the rest of the movie.

After 3 Christmas movies, it is half past 10 at night, and Tris really knows that she has to get home soon. She announces this to the group who all express their disappointment but everyone gives her a hug goodbye.

"I can walk you home, Tris," Tobias offers and Tris smiles back at him gratefully.

"You're such a good boyfriend!" Shauna calls out to Tobias as he and Tris exit the apartment after putting their coats on and cleaning up around them.

Tris does not miss Tobias's discreet eye roll at Shauna's words. It feels like a slap. Of course he doesn't want to actually walk her home, but Marlene would think it was weird if her supposed boyfriend left her to walk home alone in the night.

They make their way over to Tris's building in relative silence, not bringing up Tobias's trouble, or their hand holding during the movie.

When they approach the building, Tobias begins to say goodbye, but Tris, against her better judgement, says, "Why don't you come inside for a bit?"

She doesn't know if it's the Natalie Prior hospitality ingrained into her, or the fact that she just wants more alone time with him that causes her to do this. Probably a combination of both.

At Tobias's hesitant look Tris says playfully, "There's no party crowd like the last time you came over."

Tobias grins, "Well, that's always an incentive. Sure, why not?"

They head into the elevator, Tris feeling a bit giddy now. "Remember the last time we were going up in one of these, and you were talking about how the size of the world scared you so much?"

Tobias shakes his head, looking down. "I'm… not sure what prompted me to say that. Word vomit, I suppose."

"Hey, I liked it. It was interesting… I didn't really think you had a philosophical side."

"Oh?" He raises his eyebrows. "And what did you think about me?"

Tris bites her lip, her cheeks warming. "It was honestly quite hard to tell. When I first met you, you were so standoffish. Remember when you told me to "be careful"?"

Tobias laughs, "That… cold demeanor is something that I often slip into. If you couldn't tell I'm not the warm and sociable type. Even around my friends. But uh, I don't know. I kind of wanted to get a reaction out of you… that's why I said that."

"Reaction?!" Tris exclaims indignantly.

"Yes. Just like that one," Tobias grins. "I dunno, you were there, all awkward and flustering, probably a bit drunk too. It was… endearing," he muses

Tris kicks his leg lightly, her heart beating a thousand miles per second. Endearing. She remembers what he said about her eyes. Beautiful. These were all his first impressions of her.

"Are you endeared often, Mr. Eaton?" She asks, a little bit flirtily.

He presses his lips together, "I guess not."

Tris wants to jump up and down but she contains herself as the elevator doors open to her penthouse.

"Welcome home Miss Beatrice!" Maria calls out to her as they step in the penthouse, she then sees Tobias and does a double. "Who is this?"

"Um, Maria, this is Tobias Eaton, his dad is a family friend."

Maria smiles warmly at him, "Well, nice to meet you Mr. Eaton, may I take your coat for you?"

Tobias nods kindly and slips it off of his shoulders, Tris takes a second to admire his taut muscles which are now visible through his sweater before slipping off her own coat and handing it to Maria as well.

Caleb then walks down the stairs, "Beatrice! Where were-" he stops and gazes at Tobias in surprise. "I didn't realize you were bringing home a guest."

"Caleb, you know Tobias. He runs the project we're working on?"

Tobias nods and holds his hand out to Caleb who shakes it limply, still looking mildly shocked. "I knew he ran the meetings but I didn't realize he was taking you out on his own time." He grumbles to Tris.

Tris kicks his knee, hard, and he groans in pain. "We're friends, is all. You could try not to be a douchebag." She storms past him and begins making her way upstairs, Tobias in tow.

"Oh, like you were so pleasant to Susan today? We're going to have a talk about this, Beatrice! You can't just hide in your room forever!" Caleb shouts after her as Tris stomps into her room and slams the door behind her and Tobias.

She's breathing heavily and her cheeks feel quite warm when she realizes that Tobias just witnessed her childish outburst. "Um… sorry…" she says to him. He's now glancing around her room, which, despite Natalie Prior's best efforts to make decadent, is still very Tris.

She thinks of Tobias's pristine room and becomes very self conscious about the books scattered everywhere, her unmade bed, and the homework papers strewn across the floor. "What are you sorry for?" Tobias asks.

"That you had to see me like that," Tris laughs nervously, "and because of the mess in here."

Tobias waves a hand. "It's fine. I take it you and your brother aren't best friends?"

Tris chuckles mirthlessly. "Not at all." She plops down on her bed and opens her laptop. Might as well go and submit her Columbia application now.

Tobias takes a seat next to her. "What are you doing?"

"Um… submitting my Columbia application," Tris says meekly, "It's due today."

Tobias shakes his head. "Is this really what you want, Tris?"

"No… but I don't even know what I do want!"

"So just hold off your application."

"But early decision is due today. My mom will kill me if she finds out I didn't apply. But if I get in then I have to accept."

"Well, I can't very much imagine a world where Natalie Prior's daughter doesn't get accepted into Columbia," he says drily.

"Yeah… so what do I do?"

"Wait… have you heard of early action?"

Tris furrows her eyebrows. "No."

Tobias scoffs, "Of course. Your mom kept this a secret from you and I doubt that your school talks about it, because it's a bit frowned upon when the student population is full of legacies. It's basically applying the same date as early decision, but this time you have the option to decline. And you can apply to multiple places as well. Your mother never needs to know. Here." He grabs Tris's computer off of her lap and begins navigating through the website.

"I can't believe I didn't know about this." Tris states in shock, angry at her mother and her school for keeping such a vital piece of information from her.

"There you go," Tobias says, and places the laptop right in front of her. "Now you can submit, and not be tied down."

Tris's palms begin to feel sweaty as she uploads her application. She knows she's not going to be tied down this time, but it still feels like a part of her is being her mother's puppet. But she knows all hell will break loose if she doesn't apply, and she doesn't know if she's ready for that. She needs to find a medium right now instead of jumping face first into the act of defying her mother. She presses submit. "It's done… uh, thank you, Tobias. I probably would've passed away tonight if it weren't for you."

"Anytime." He glances at the time on her laptop. "Hey, we still have quite a bit of time till midnight… if you want some help researching some other places to apply early action to."

Tris raises her eyebrows at him. "You would help me with that? It's getting a bit late, don't you need to go home?"

Tobias shrugs, smiling a little bit. "I like hanging out here. Your room… is homey. Not what I'd expect in this house, but it's nice. And Zeke and Shauna will probably appreciate the alone time. Also, you're my friend. And I want to help you."

Tris grins. "Okay, let's get to work then."

Tris and Tobias spend the next hour or so doing research and then submitting her application. After grilling her, Tobias learnt that Tris's ideal place is somewhere warm and sunny but not boiling hot. Also, no rednecks. The only logical conclusion from this was of course, California.

By midnight, Tris had submitted early action applications to USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Pomona. It all felt very last minute and rushed to her, since she hadn't thought she'd be doing any of this when she woke up this morning, but it also felt exhilarating. Sort of like her tattoo did.

Now Tris and Tobias are absolutely exhausted from staring at her computer for such a long time, that they lie side by side on her bed groggily, each turned on their side so they're facing the other.

Tobias looks as if he's about to drift off to sleep, and Tris feels the same way, but she's still a bit worried for him. "Hey," she says softly.

He cracks an eye open sleepily, "Yeah?"

"Thanks for helping me out today. It means a lot. You're a good friend."

He smiles a little, "No problem, Tris."

"Um… when you were drunk… you said something."

"What'd I say?" He mumbles.

"You told me there was stuff you wanted to tell me. You know, about why you were drinking so much that night… and I'm worried for you. I guess I just wanted to let you know when you're sober and can remember what I'm saying, that I'm here for you."

"Mmm," he snuggles deeper into her sheets, "Maybe I'll take you up on that offer when I'm not halfway asleep." He murmurs, before closing his eyes and drifting off.

I hope you will, Tris thinks to herself.

LMK YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE! Sorry if it's a bit late! If I'm lucky, All Good will be updated tonight also, if not I will have it up tomorrow morning! Thanks for your patience and support!
