What's your name (real or screen, your choice)
WT: I go by Wasted Time, which I prefer. Although my username is WastedTime EE. I just got stuck with that as a tag because I initially started my work as "Wasted Time's Erotic Experiments".
Tell me about yourself, age, where you're from, what you do, anything you want others to know about you, sex, etc.
I'm just a guy from New hampshire, I got my start as a smut artist and started fanfiction as a side hobby to practice writing. Then that sort of blew up and I found myself where I'm at now.
What brought you to the Zootopia fandom?
Well, I was involved in the whole 'furry fandom' prior to the movie, and I was mildly interested when I heard about it. Then I saw previews, and I fell in love with the character designs, specifically Dawn Bellwether's. After the movie, and finding out Dawn was the villian, I got interested in the idea of writing a redemption fic for her. So I started to do that, and the surprising amount of positive feedback led to me continuing it. As of today, I'm at two novel length size fics based on that idea, and a third being worked on.
What was it about Dawn's design that had you so intrigued?
I suppose it's hard to kind of narrow it down to one element. I was already in love with Zoot's take on anthros in general, as it was more...animaly? Than the furry stuff I was used to. It made them feel like real unique creatures instead of animal heads and tails on a human body. With Dawn though, her design was so adorable it immediately caught my eye in the early trailers. The dorky glasses, the floofy wool poof, the dowdy style. I've always been kind of a sucker for awkward, dorky gals, and she fit the bill. Then with the sneak peeks she just seemed so adorably sweet, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for the way Lionheart treated her in the movie...needless to say it was heartbreaking when she turned out to be the villain of the film. Not entirely unexpected...but still stung nonetheless.
Who is your OC today?
Well, I have quite a few. But in terms of my Zootopia fic series, I guess I'd say my primary OC is Vernon Hunter.
What animal are they?
Grey Wolf
What do they look like? Special markings, colorations, etc.
Grey fur, cream colored muzzle, deep green eyes, broad shouldered for a Zootopian wolf. Speaks with a bit of a drawl.
What inspired you to create them?
When writing Dawn Bellwether's redemption story, I wanted the same kind of dynamic in terms of predator/prey that Judy and Nick so that they sort of complement each other. So my head went, 'well, foxes hunt rabbits, at least that's the first place one's mind goes. So what hunts sheep?' Naturally the answer was a wolf, and so I came up with this wolf character, 'Vernon Hunter', who had been best friends with Dawn for a brief period when they were children, and reconnected with her when she was released from prison.
What are they like?
Vernon's relatively soft spoken, kind of a softy. But he's also really emotional, and he can make rather rash or dumb decisions by thinking with his heart before his head.
What's their family life like?
Vernon is from a big family, and has six other brothers from two litters. He was the runt of the second litter. He's very close to his mother and most of his brothers, but he had a rather strained relationship with his father, and absolutely hated his brother Yuri, who was a bully to him and his strain with his father came from the older wolf constantly trying to push Vernon into Law Enforcement, something Vernon adamantly refused. That has since been resolved in my fic "A Lamb Among Wolves", and while the Yuri situation hasn't been 'resolved', the two have learned to tolerate one another.
Do they have a love interest?
Yes, Dawn Bellwether. It's a reciprocated relationship, and as of my fanfic "A Lamb Among Wolves", the two have married, and both have taken the name Hunter-Bellwether, as Vernon insisted Dawn shouldn't hide from her name.
Do you have any stories written about them or that they're included in?
"The Rehabilitation of Dawn Bellwether", It's Sequel, "A Lamb Among Wolves", And side series "Tales from the BellHunterverse" and "The Family Vulpes" All of these can be found on , Archive of Our own, and other websites under my username, WastedTimeEE.
Tell us how you see culture in Zootopia. For example, do all foxes or rabbits have the same culture or is there a difference depending on subspecies or region?
In terms of Vernon, and how I see Wolves in Zootopia, Wolves come from primarily 'two cultures', Roaropean Wolves (Based somewhat on Norse and Viking societies, and Native Wolves (Based on a mixture of Native American and South American societies) Roarpean wolves however, entered more of a stage of enlightenment early on, which made them more comfortable reaching out and sharing with other species, whereas the native wolves are more wolf supremacist. Needless to say native ideology adherents don't get along with wolves of Roaropean descent on average. Wolves are also seen by most of Zootopia by and large as sort of 'dumb brutes', which has affected the kind of jobs wolves have been able to get even to this day, which is why a large number of wolves are generally found in security jobs like Police, Fire, Military, etc, as they are easier for wolves to get than other jobs.
How much of a pack mentality do you think wolves have in Zootopia?
Welp, in my fics there's largely two primary wolf cultures. Native wolves, who are more rooted in that pack mentality, and Roaropean (European) wolves, who have a less rigid sense of pack structure. The native wolves are staunchly locked in to the infamous Alpha Omega pack structure, (Or at least the way we used to think pack structure worked). It's a sort of caste system. They also tend to be very speciest, looking down at every mammal that isn't a wolf. As for the Roaropean 'Norwulves' , they have a more community pack structure. They do have pack roles, but they aren't rigid, and don't have the same caste system kind of discrimination tied to them. They are also welcoming of non-wolves to the point where even prey mammals have been made honorary pack members of some of the most distinguished and powerful packs in Roarope.
Do you think hybrids could exist in Zootopia?
In my stories they do/will. Originally it was something I wasn't going to touch, but I'm not sure if it was Byron Howard or Rich Moore who had said in an interview that hybrids in Zootopia were definitely a thing. And while I don't always stick to the 'word of god' when writing lore for my take on Zootopia, I had some ideas for tackling hybrids that seemed fun to play with.
I think you have that backwards. Byron Howard said they probably weren't possible.
Welp, can't turn back now I suppose...lol
LOL I don't think anyone cares really.
Well I wanted to remain grounded with certain aspects when writing my zoot, I used real world references as a guide a lot when it came to mammals and species traits. Irl cross species hybridization is very limited and I was going to stick with that. But changed my mind somewhat based on what I thought I heard.
Ultimate Zootopia question. Are you a WildeHopps shipper or do you prefer them with a different ship?
Oh, I suppose I'm a WildeHopps shipper. I mean, I did pair them off in my fics. As much as there's a part of me that wants to appreciate the rare instance of a guy and girl just being really tight friends, nothing more, I couldn't help myself. They complement each other too much.
For the purpose of the OC interview the setting is the creator's OC is about to be interviewed by my co-owned OC Vicky Chola. A north american grey fox vixen in her mid 20s. They're both in a studio booth with headphones on and microphones to speak into. The interview we did earlier about the creator and their OC is considered a pre conversation between these two before going on the air. Vicky will ask questions based on the answers provided by the creator. Enjoy!
"Welcome everyone to another edition of the Characters of Zootopia show! I'm your host Vicky Chola and joining me today is Vernon Hunter. Thank you for joining me Vernon."
"It's a pleasure Miss Chola, thank y'all fer havin' me out to the studio."
"Our pleasure. So Vernon you have a bit of a drawl. Can you tell us where you picked that up from?"
Adjusts his headset slightly "Oh, well I mean, it's common among most folks in the North Meadowlands. Growin' up there, it weren't like I was gonna escape without pickin' it up." chuckles
"Oh really? I've never been to that part of Zootopia before. What's it like?"
Chuckles "Ain't surprised. The North Meadowlands is… purty rural compared to the main districts. The population density kinda thins out the further up into the meadowlands to the point where it starts lookin' like the them Burrow counties to the south. Ain't much of a draw for most city folk until fall rolls around. Vernon scratches the back of his head. "As fer what it's like livin' there, I mean, it's a beautiful place to grow up. Lots of wide open meadows to explore and farms stretchin' all the way up to the north mountains. Most folks know eachother there too, cause'a how small the community is, which dependin' on yer perspective can be a nice thing, er' annoyin'. Laughs "It's definitely somethin' y'all don't get in the big districts, that's fer sure..."
Soft laughter "Sounds like home." She said fondly. "So what part of Zootopia is your favorite outside of the Meadowlands?"
"Well, while I've spent most of my post college life livin' in Savannah Central, I've always preferred Tundra Town. I was a bit of a snow pup growin' up and never really grew out o' that." Chuckles "But fer years I stuck it out in Savannah Central because I was goin' to ZU, and my Bug Burga job was there, so it was easier to live local. Only ever made time to head out there to visit my brother who works in Tundra Town's ZPD division." Vernon smiles Sheepishly "O'course now that I'm tithed...er' married as sheepfolk call it, with a couple o' pups and more on the way, we thought it was better to just stick it out in Savannah Central. Better fer the pups to grow up in a fairly temperate district."
"Tell us about your wife. What's she like?"
Vernon rubs the back of his neck awkwardly, flashing Vicky a meek smile "Well... she's a real drivin' kinda gal, works her tail off probably harder than I do, o'course I ain't carryin' the same kinda weight on my shoulders as she is. She's also probably the warmest, sweetest lil' ewe you'd ever meet..."Blushes slightly "O'course, I'm biased bein' married to her and all. I know there's still a good portion of the public...both in Zootopia and outside that...well, let's just say the name 'Bellwether' don't bring up strictly positive thoughts with the public, even with the book out there bein' as popular as it is." sips coffee
"Just so everyone's clear. You are married to former mayor Bellwether?"
Chuckles "Yeah, that's her. Dawn Bellwether...well, Hunter-Bellwether now. I always sorta...take fer granted that most folks in Zootopia, and even outside of it just sorta know her by name at this point..." Vernon frowns slightly, averting his gaze. Y'know, I generally...I mean, I don't do a lot of interviews on my lonesome. Dawn generally does most of the 'interviewin' thang, or I'm with her cause I'm the 'technically' the co-author on our book..." Vernon rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. "So generally...I leave the whole...explainin' the more sordid' stuff to her..."
Sips coffee, letting out a sigh "To those out there who only know my misses from the whole...night howler fiasco...welp...Vernon lolls his head from side to side "Obviously a lot has happened since then...so...to keep it short. Dawn was in prison, reformed, met me..." Rubs neck awkwardly "Or rather met me again, then her Pa tried to pull the same scheme as she did on a grander scale and Dawn stopped him." Vernon offers a meek smirk. "Since then she wrote a book about...well, everythin'...I helped a little bit...although she insists I 'co-wrote' it." Chuckles
"To be honest I ain't surprised y'all had to clarify...most folks don't even recognize me without Dawn taggin' along." Vernon shrugs. "I ain't exactly as noteworthy in terms of havin' a consistent public presence."
"How difficult was it seeing her after the night howler events?"
Vernon purses his lips slightly, sucking in air "I mean...well..." Shakes head "I came from a law family. My Pa, my brothers, they are all aligned with law enforcement in some way..." Runs paw through his hair " That said, my Pa really believes in Rehabilitatin' criminals, and it was something he sorta...I dunno, I guess he reinforced it enough into us growin' up that we couldn't help pick it up." Vernon chuckles, "'Every mammal deserves a second chance iffin' they're tryin'.' is what my Pa used to say, and I guess I took that to heart."
"Iffin' I'm bein' honest, I guess it was a lil' offputtin' at first..." Vernon sighs "But Dawn was tryin', I could see that. I could sense she was bein' genuine, and so I gave her the benefit of the doubt." The wolf chuckles My family has a bit of a knack fer that, readin' mammals intentions. We call it 'Hunter's intuition'."
Chuckles "O' course, once we found out we knew eachother fer a little while as pups, that was the end of any 'offputtin' feelin's."
"Why's that?"
Chuckles "Well, hard to not want to give yer puphood best friend a chance, even if y'all only got to know 'em fer three months." Vernon shakes his head "At that point, all I could see when I looked at her fer a while was that same timid little ewe I knew in third grade."
"So you consider her your kithood best friend even though you only knew each other for three months?"
Chuckles "Well, I was kind of an oddball pup, growin' up in a high prey-low pred density district. I had...I mean blame my Pa, but I had nasty habit of gettin' into fights stickin' up fer mammals, which was usually preds pups pickin' on prey." Vernon massages his muzzle with his fingers for a moment. "O' course, gettin' into scraps, wether I won er' lost them tended to make more enemies out of them few pred students, and just plain scare the prey I was tryin' to help out." Vernon smirks "Dawn was the only one who wasn't afraid o' me after helpin' her out, and well, we got real tight real fast." Vernon frowns "After her, I didn't really have any friends outside of my brothers up until high school." The wolf winces "I kinda...went down a rough path fer a while after me and her got split up."
"Rough how?"
Vernon's ears sag sharply, the wolf once again averting his gaze as he drums his fingers on the table quietly. "Well...gettin' sperated from Dawn the way we were...kinda made me aware for the first time in my life of the whole...divide between predator and prey population, in like a real way." *The wolf rubs his neck, wearing an uneasy expression. "When my Pa told me that Dawn's parents pulled her outta school...essentially to keep her away from me just cause I was a pred...it sorta...broke my spirit fer a long time." Vernon leans his elbows on the table, allowing his head to slump into his paws as he continues. "In school I became a lot more...aggressive, and withdrawn. I started pickin' fights instead of tryin' to end' em', and while I didn't...I guess hurt any mammals who weren't already bruisers, but I did go outta my way to make sure I looked as scary as possible to the prey in my middle and junior high school."
Vernon sighs "I only managed to turn myself around in highschool, and then started makin' meaningful friendships from that point forward." *Vernon leans up again, offering a meek smile. "Startin' with my best friend Gus and expandin' from there. Vernon grabs at his microphone, leaning closer to it for a moment. "By the way, if yer into geeky persuits, check out 'Shatterhorn's tabletop gamin' in downtown Savanna Central, y'all won't be dissapointed!"
Vernon flashes a wide smile. "Sorry, Gus woulda killed me if I didn't take the opportunity to give his shop a shout out. He does sell our book there after all..."
chuckles "That's understandable. So what got you to turn your life around?"
Vernon clears his throat "Well, it was...I guess an one of them...er...'ephipanies'?, That's the kinda word the Lil' Miss would use. It wasn't totally a sudden realization." The wolf shakes his head dismissively "I spent so many years just...livin' up to the image most prey had of wolves...I was practically savage durin' some o' them fights." Vernon's ears droop once more. "But at the end of the day, none o' that made the pain go away...just made me feel empty..." The wolf sighs "Over the years that that awful hole in me just filled up with all the guilt and shame over the way I made my parents and those who cared about me hurt..."
Vernon adjusts his headset slightly, still frowning "I finally broke in highschool, just a few weeks in. I caught a cheetah given the goat who would become my best friend a swirlie in the bathroom, and I just went off on him." The wolf begins pantomiming tossing a mammal* "I gripped him by his neck and arms and slammed him against the mirror so hard it cracked up."Vernon gestures holding the mammal up. "And I'm holdin' him up there, and I see myself in the mirror...and I just..." The wolf sighs "I saw a monster, the monster I made myself into."
Vernon sips his coffee "And I'm thinkin' to myself...'Is this who I really want to be? I broke down after that… just cryin' and slobberin' over myself..." The wolf chuckles weakly. "I'm surprised Gus stuck around to console me considering the emotional whiplash I showed off..." Vernon flashes a smirk "I've been reformed, and friends with Gus ever since."
"So how did going through high school turn out after that? I would imagine a few mammals held a grudge against you."
Vernon chuckles "I managed to maintain the...illusion I was still a bruiser, at least to some degree. By that point I had established enough of a...I guess 'mean' cred that a glare was enough to diffuse most situations, or at least make those lookin' to settle a score give it a second thought. The wolf smirks "O' course, I still had my older brothers floatin' around the school too, so...there was a whole fear of gettin' the dander up on my whole pack."
Vernon sips his coffee "O'course, I wasn't exactly hidin' how tame I'd become...Gus got me into playin' 'Beast and Battlefield's, and designin' maps fer the campaigns. Didn't take long fer me to join the schools club he ran, where I ended up makin' a lot more prey and caprid freinds." Chuckles "I was friends with enough goats and sheep by the end of high school I ended up with the nickname "Sheepdog" by the end of it."
giggles "Cute. So what did you do after high school?"
Vernon adjusts his headset slightly, his right ear twitching as he does so. "Welp, I kinda stayed at home fer a couple o' years." Chuckles "One o' my oldest brothers, from my mom's first litter was...he was always a terror to live with. So with him off at the Seaotter police academy, I...was kinda gettin' to appreciate life at home fer once." Runs paw through his head fur. "O'course that weren't without it's problems either...my Pa was really pushin' hard fer me to get into law enforcement like the rest of my brothers had, but...goin' through what I did growin' up, it...just didn't feel right." The wolf shakes his head "The idea...just...I was too uneasy with workin' law."
"So what did you decide to do?"
"Welp...thanks to BnB I had developed a real love fer puttin' together maps and architecture fer our games, so...I decided to persue that. Granted, I knew goin' in that was...well, I mean when yer lookin' fer an architect most folks er' lookin' fer rabbits er beavers er' the like. Y'know, the kinda species y'all would associate with buildin'." Chuckles "So I knew I was gonna have my work cut out fer me findin' work in that field."
"Is that what the majority of your class had? Rabbits and beavers?"
"Mice too, basically the mammals most folks look at and go, 'they must know somethin' about buildin' stuff." Vernon chuckles "Fer those specific classes, more often than not they had to move a bigger desk out of storage fer me." *The wolf rubs his neck, flashing vicky an uneasy smile. "There were one er' two foxes there too. We didn't stay friend er' nothin', but we got along well enough on a sorta...shared knowledge we were both climbin' up the side of a mountain thanks to our species."
"A common ground between you?"
"Well, er...I'm...I don't wanna offend..." The wolf winces "I mean, it's purty well known foxes get a lot o' flack fer...I mean, a lot of folks just see 'em as untrustworthy by default..." Vernon holds up paws defensively "Which I don't agree with fer a second!" The wolf runs a paw through his head fur. "But, that means a lot of employers and customers are iffy about hirin' or workin' with 'em." The wolf winces "As fer wolves, most mammals see us as a bunch of dumb brutes, who are only good fer security and law enforcement jobs." Vernon chuckles weakly "Anythang that requires real thought, er' a gentle er' precise set of paws don't usually evoke a the idea of hirin' a wolf as yer first choice."
"None taken. So how did you approach searching for a job when you were already at a disadvantage?"
chuckles "Iffin' we're bein' honest, I lucked out." The wolf places his paws on the table. "When I decided I was goin' to pursue Architecture, my Pa said I was gonna have to support my own tuition to do it, that he wasn't gonna help with some sorta 'fool's errand'. Luckily my pal Gus already had an apartment in Zootopia, and he was able to get me a position at his grandpa's Bug Burga to help me support my classes." Rubs the back of his neck "O'course, that meant I had to take my schoolin' a bit slower since I was providin' fer myself, so I didn't end up graduation till the whole...the mess with Dawn's Pa tryin' to night howler gas the city." The wolf's ears momentarily droop, but are quick to perk up. "Thankfully, fer my paw in helpin' 'stop' that mess, the Mayor actually got me an internship at City Hall's Architecture Department." *The wolf offers a sheepish smile. "And despite a bit of...expected growin' pains workin' there, I managed to earn a spot on the team after a few months."
"That's impressive. At what point during all this did you meet Dawn again?"
The wolf places his paws on his knees "That'd be in March o' that year. She'd recently been paroled and ...well by that point Gus' grandpa had turned ownership of the Bug Burga over to him, and he was havin' the hardest time findin' a mammal to fill the night shift alongside me." Chuckles "Because o' that, his Bug Burga was on every list fer open employment opportunity provided by the Zootopia government, which included work fer 'rehabilitated criminals'." The wolf winces "Obviously...Dawn was...a special case." Sighs "I mean, most of those on the 'rehabilitation employment program' found and excuse to turn her away when they knew who she was. But, thankfully fer her, and fer me, ol' Gus was desperate." Chuckles
Vernon lets out a soft sigh "That was about three months before the whole 'incident', o' course Dawn had been livin' with me fer about the last month of that." Vernon smirked "And o'course we've been livin' together since...fer obvious reasons." The wolf chuckles
"How much blowback do you receive for being with Dawn?"
Vernon rubs the back of his neck awkwardly, wincing slightly. "I mean, I figure it woulda' been worse if not fer...Dawn stoppin' her Dad from gassin' the city. Fer sure. I know a big part o' her not confessin' her feelin's to me before that mess was outta fear her reputation would drag me down with her..." The wolf lolls his head softly from side to side as he seems to be plotting out his words. "That's not to say there are...still some folks out there that ain't exactly fans o' her, whether it's still holdin' a grudge fer the first scandal, er' because we're 'promotin' a deviant lifestyle' with our book." The wolf lets out a weak chuckle "We get our fair share o' hate mail, that's fer sure..."
"So now that things have settled down, what do you see in your future?"
Vernon Smirks "Well, settlin' down is the right word fer it." The wolf chuckles "Me and Dawn have already adopted some pups of our own. So we're lookin' forward to bein' parents and raisin' 'em." Vernon grips the microphone again, the wolf smiling broadly. "Howdy Edi, howdy Alli! Pa loves you!" Releasing his grip on the mic, the wolf chuckles "Edison's a lil' ram, he's ten, and Allison, she's a wolf pup, she's thirteen." The wolf sighs "Aside from that, I'm lookin' at...well fingers crossed a long career in workin' architecture fer the city." The wolf runs a paw through his head fur. "And the misses is stickin' to the independent author and public speakin' gig...which, o' course I'll be dragged along fer from time to time, considerin' a bulk o' her writin' is releated to advocacy fer pred and prey, at least fer now."
"Do you worry your kids will be targeted?"
Vernon sighs "I mean, o'course we are... We didn't jump into the whole adoption thang without bein' upfront with the pups about it. Well, as much as they could understand anyway." The wolf grimaces. "Even without Dawn bein' as known as she is, bein' a mixed pack of pred and prey is...it's already settin' yer pups up to get ostracized." The wolf shakes his head "But we wanted to...well try to make the pups lives feel as normal as our...situation would allow. But we had to take precautions, like sending them strictly to private school, and gettin' pickin' them up and droppin' 'em off ourselves." The wolf slinks into his shoulders slightly. "And, we have had to hire private security a few times fer the pups and Dawn after recievin' one or two threatenin' emails."
"But we ain't really got a choice in the matter...we either put our neck out thier, or just...hide..." The wolf shrugs "Which, kinda...goes against the whole ethos o' our book."
"Just a little off topic for a second but I hear you saying pack and pups, does Dawn use terminology from sheep culture or has she adopted yours?"
"Most of the time we just refer to our family as whatever we're uses to. So Dawn will refer to the pups as lambs, and our family as her flock, and I'll do the same with 'pups' and 'pack', although sometime we interchange 'em." Chuckles "There ain't no pressure, we just use what feels comfortable and encourage the pups to do the same." Vernon sips his coffee "That ain't to say we haven't adopted parts of eachothers cultures. We had a combined weddin' and tithe, which a tithe is essentially the wolf equivalent of a sheep and prey folk weddin'."
"Does it ever get confusing? Combining the two?"
Vernon scratches the back of his head. "Not really, at least in the family. It's sorta interchangable fer us, and the rest of the family and close friend are used to hearin' it." The wolf shrugs "It can be a bit confusin' though to new folks, or iffin' we use 'em in...well interviews and stuff like this one without explainin' it first." Chuckles "Maybe I shoulda done that fer this one."
"Might have helped." She smiled "So how long have you had custody of the children?"
Taking a final swig of his coffee, the wolf slides the mug aside before adjusting his headset. "We've had Edi and Alli fer a few months now. Adopted 'em in february." Scratches the back of his neck while flashing an sheepish smirk. "We were hopin' to adopt 'em before Yule, but...I mean, it was difficult findin' an adoption agency willin' to deal with us. Between the mixed species couple thang...and well, Dawn's past..." Winces slightly "Well, it took longer than it should have..." The wolf's ears perk up, his smile growing more genuine. "But I suppose it was just fates way o' leadin' us to Alli and Edi." Chuckles "And despite hittin' a few bumps in the road gettin' the hang of this parentin' thang, we wouldn't trade it fer the world."
"What kind of 'bumps' have you experienced?"
Vernon sighs, he ears sagging slightly as he scratches the back of his head. "Well Edi, I mean...he's been adaptin' purty well." Vernon frowns slightly. "He does get picked on in school a bit...partially cause of us bein' his parents, but more so cause he's...well he's a bit of a runt like his Ma was...so helpin' him through that can be a lil' tough on the both of us." Vernon smiles meekly. "Luckily Alli is a real good big sister in terms o' lookin' out fer him, and stickin' up fer him. Not surprisin' since she's looked after him since they were in the orphanage together..." Vernon's smile falters. "But Alli's also got a bit of a chip on her shoulder. Unlike Edi, she's been in and out of the foster home a few times so cause folks would adopt her, then manage to have a pup of their own and give her back like she was some sorta 'rental pup'." The wolf sighs. "We haven't...really earned her trust yet cause o' that, and she...she's been actin' out and bein difficult more than likely cause she figures we're just pullin' the same stunt even iffin' she knows sheep and wolves can't exactly have pups through the...er...'natural method'."
Vernon runs a paw through his headfur roughly. "I mean, we knew what we signed up fer...but it can be purty stressful to handle at times...'er even know where to start with handlin' it..." The wolf winces slightly. "I think it's been gettin' to Dawn worse as o' late too...the stress of dealin' with Alli." The wolf shakes his head. "Ain't a mornin's that's passed fer two weeks 'er so that I didn't catch my lil' Honey Lamb retchin' bein' sick as a dog in the bathroom..." Vernon sighs. "She's generally better later in the day, but with both of us at our wits end in terms o' just how to handle things, it ain't hard to imagine the stress is gnawin' at her just as much as me, and it's spillin' out into bein' sick."
"That does sound rough. I suppose it should get better with time. Well, I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Thank you so much for coming on today Vernon."
Vernon smiles broadly. "Aw, it's been a pleasure Miss Chola, really." The wolf chuckles. "Thanks fer havin' me on."
"And thank you listeners for joining us once again. See you next time on Characters of Zootopia."
