I was writing a new chapter for That's Life but then I had a good idea for this chapter. Plus all the reviews kinda made me want to write it so yea. I'm a Review whore, and I would have posted this chapter last night but my fanfiction app deleted half of my work :(

Later that night after the Performance
Once Jaune stopped by Tom's bar and noticed many people outside. Waiting for Violet to show up to pay his bill. So Jaune did the only logical thing, he texted Tom if he could meet him out in the back. After explaining to Tom that he was sent by Violet to pay his bill. Tom took the money and asked Jaune if he could pass a message to Violet. Tom asked if he could come around next Sunday for his daughter's birthday party. Jaune agreed to the message and then he walked back to Max who was waiting for him inside a small restaurant.
Jaune knocked on the window to get Max's attention. Once Max got his order to go, Jaune walked him to his apartment. They stopped in front of the entrance, Max turned around to see him. "Fun day, do you want to stay over?" Max asked him. Jaune thought of it but he knew he had to go back to his life for a bit. "Maybe next time, I still got to talk with Ren" Max nodded. "I understand, but if you ever feel down. You know where to find me and remember. We need to go to your sister Amethyst's place on Friday". "Speaking of which, when did you guys talk about her book and forcing me to do her video...asshole" Jaune wasn't happy about it.
He's never done a music video in his life, so he felt nervous. And to top it off, he was going to sing along side a artist who he kinda admired. "That's a secret" Max said with a smug expression. Just before Jaune could argue, Max walked in and left Jaune there. He wanted to go in there but he knew he had to be at the bullhead station in Twenty minutes.
Beacon
Jaune could be seen walking pass some students who were outside. He could hear some of them singing some of his songs. He couldn't stop smiling till he came face to face with his legacy. His ancestor's statue, that joy he felt for performing and making a lot of people happy. Disappeared, seeing his impossible goal to measure up to his family's name. Just brought the pain he hasn't felt for a while. So he just closed his eyes and took long breaths and then walked away. He was heading to the dorms, just as he was getting close did he see Ren and Nora walking out.
He was about to call them, but he soon saw Pyrrha and the rest of team RWBY coming out after them. So he just kept walking till he was close enough for them to release he was there. "Hey guys" Jaune said to get their attention, Ren looked away from Nora who kept saying they should go tomorrow to the orphanage to help the cute little kids from Violet's performance. Ren had a neutral expression but Jaune knew that face. "Jaune" Ren said which got everyone to look at him, Jaune never felt so exposed.
"Hey" Jaune remained like that for a bit. "Jaune-Jaune do you want to go with us?" Nora asked in her usual cheerful voice. "Where?", "We're going camping near the cliffs. Everyone will be there, we're going to tell scary stories and make s'mores!" Jaune looked at Ren who gave him a small smile and a nod. Pyrrha's scroll rings, she pulled it up to see the message. "Let's hurry, Mercury just texted me. They've started the s'mores without us" she said as she was looking at her scroll. She didn't wait for a response, she just took off with Ruby and Nora chasing her. Who didn't wait for Jaune's response, all he could hear was Ruby shouting to her team to hurry. So the rest followed suit which only left Ren still standing there.
Jaune wanted to join but a part of him felt like he would be a outcast. "Are you okay Jaune?" Ren said while getting close enough. Jaune just moved around him and made his way to the door. "I'll be fine" he said in a low voice, Jaune reached for the door knob. "Jaune!" Ren's voice was all it took for Jaune to stop. "You can't be doing this to yourself, I know your hurting" That cold feeling in Jaune's chest kept getting colder. "I know you wanted to tell her how you felt but-", "I was to late" Jaune whimpered. Ren wanted to get closer but something told him he shouldn't. "She's with someone who could be there for her. Someone who can stand beside her through anything" Jaune's grip tighten on the door knob. "Then why don't you tell her how you feel" Ren asked, "The same reason you haven't" Jaune turned his head to show a tear sliding down his cheek. "I don't want to ruin what we had have" he then turned the knob and pulled the door open. "Good night Ren" he said while walking in, leaving Ren to his thoughts.
Jaune kept walking through the halls, and thinking about his pathetic life. All he ever wanted was to be a hero like his ancestors. He wanted to be just like his family, he finally made it to his room. He locked the door and removed his shirt. He threw it next to his bed, and walked into the bathroom. He looked at himself through the mirror, his tearful eyes and the scars on his chest and some on his shoulder. His team thinks he likes to wear his onesie because it's comfortable. But honestly it was to conceal his past. He splashed water on his face and got ready to go to sleep.

Ren was walking towards the campsite with his thoughts on what Jaune said. Did he really fear losing Nora li- "Renny!, hurry we're telling stories!" Nora shouted towards him. Ren then noticed he made it to the campsite without realizing it. He saw many classmates scattered around and tents too. He then noticed a campfire with his teammates and teams Rwby,Cfvy,Crdl and Mercury's team (Sorry I couldn't think of a name for their team. Cause everyone says it's team Cmen but Neo goes as Mint not her real name ssssoooo yea) sitting around it. Ren took his spot next to Nora who was eating her s'more.
Once she swallowed "What took you so long?" Nora asked her childhood friend. "Just talking with Jaune about stuff" he said which got Nora to frown. She knew that tone Ren used, which could only mean he was upset about something. Once Jaune gets here she'll ask him what happened. "Speaking of which, where's Jaune?" Ruby said while holding her stick with a marshmallow on the top of it and over the fire. Pyrrha who was sitting next to Mercury finally notice her partner wasn't there too. "He didn't feel like coming" Ren said which Nora picked up on his disappointed voice. "Is he doing alright?, I've noticed he's been acting weird lately" Velvet said concerned for him. Cardin turned his attention towards his girlfriend, Coco noticed his annoyed expression.
"I honestly don't know" Ren said while staring at the fire. "What do you mean?" Nora asked, she was frustrated to see Ren like this. "I-", "Can we talk about something else please, like how my man just blow everyone's minds with his songs and his moves~" Yang interrupted Ren. She didn't hate Jaune but she wanted to talk about Violet. "What do you mean your man, you don't even know him!" Ruby shouted. She was still mad at Yang for taking her chance to talk with her future husba-Friend. She blush imagining her little family with him "Ruby!, stop drooling!" Weiss yelled at her leader. Who had her eyes closed with mad blushes and drool hanging from her mouth. She snapped out of it and shakes her head to get ride of the images of her two kids and Violet's amazing blue eyes. Which pierce through her soul, "Sorry...I was thinking about cookies hehe" she nervously laughed.
"Come now sis, once he sees this" she started to show off her body in a pose. Much to Pyrrha irritation which she noticed Mercury looking at Yang's chest. Yang and Ruby started a argument till Weiss said something that placed their feud to a halt. "As if you had a chance with Violet" she said while ignoring their glares. "What is that supposed to mean ice queen?" Yang asked with red eyes. "Ain't like you have a chance with him" she then gave them a smirk "If you haven't met him like me" she said with a satisfied expression when she saw Yang and Ruby shocked looks. Ruby was the first to recover "Y-you know Violet" she said with a stutter. "Why yes I do" she told her leader, she was enjoying those jealous glares from them.
"How do you know him?" Velvet asked, "Never mind that, did you see him in his birthday suit" Coco said. Which got team Rwby and Velvet to blush. "Coco!", "What?, I just asked what everybody was thinking. Plus, there's never been a photo or video of him shirtless" now that she mentions it. There's never been any photos like that from him. "Maybe he's a Faunus and he's hiding it" Blake said. Making everyone throwing conspiracies about not seeing Violet shirtless. They had to call it quits when someone said he might have three nipples *cough* Nora. "Okay that's enough, I've known Violet since we met in one of my concerts" Weiss said.
"Really" Ruby said, "Yes, he saw me backstage and after hearing me sing, he kinda fell over heels for me" she said the last part with a victory smirk towards her teammates. "I call bullshit!" Yang said with her eyes red and with her arms crossed. Weiss then pulled out her scroll "I got a music video of him singing to me. That says otherwise" she said which got some of the people around them to hear that part. It took a couple of minutes for them to convince her to show the video. And another to setup the hologram to see it. It turned on with Violet looking into the camera and standing inside a recording room. "Hey Weiss, I made this song for you. It's from the day I first saw you backstage"
Music started to play while he was holding his headphones and singing into the microphone. "I don't know if you were looking at me or not. You probably smile like that all the time. And I don't mean to bother you but. I couldn't just walk by, And not say hi" many of the girls blushed by his smooth voice. And admired his blue eyes looking at the camera "And I know your name, Cuz everybody in here knows your name. And you're not looking for anything right now. So I don't wanna come on strong, But don't get me wrong. Your eyes are so intimidating My heart is pounding but. It's just a conversation, No girl I'm not gunna waste it, You don't know me. I don't know you but I want to" Weiss was having flashbacks of the time he would talk to her in her dressing room.
She never met someone else who just wanted to get to know her for her and not cause of her name. "I don't wanna steal your freedom. I don't wanna change your mind. I don't have to make you love me, I just want to take your time. I don't wanna wreck your Friday, I ain't gunna waste my lies. I don't have to take your heart. I just wanna take your time" Velvet looked at Cardin with a frown. Thankfully he didn't noticed but a fashionista did tho "And I know it starts with hello. And the next thing you know your trying to be nice. And some guys getting too close. Tryin to pick you up, Trying to get you drunk" some of the girls gave their boyfriends a serious look. Which they started to sweat bullets by the way their partners were looking at them.
"And I'm sure one of your friends is about to come over here. Cuz she's supposed to save you from random guys. That talk to much and wanna stay too longIt's the same old song and dance but I think you know it well. You coulda rolled your eyes, Told me to go to hell. Coulda walked away, But your still here, And I'm still here" Yang wanted to shout for her future man to not fall for the ice queen. But for some reason she didn't want to interrupt his singing. Ruby just imagine Violet was singing her the song instead of Weiss.
"Come on let's see where it goes, I don't wanna steal your freedom. I don't wanna change your mind, I don't have to make you love me. I just wanna take your time, I don't have to meet your mother. We don't have to cross that line, I don't wanna steal your covers. I just wanna take your time" Blake couldn't handle those lyrics, she kept on fanning herself and tried not to think about a scenario where one of them was on top dominating the other. "I don't wanna go home with you. I just wanna be alone with you, I don't wanna steal your freedom. I don't wanna change your mind, I don't have to make you love me. I just wanna take your time. I don't wanna blow your scroll up. I just wanna blow your mind, I don't have to take your heart. I just wanna take your time" for some reason Pyrrha felt this pain in her chest. But once she turned to Mercury those feelings vanished. Emerald couldn't stop being hypnotized by his singing. Cinder could care less about this Violet.
"No, I ain't gotta call you baby, And I ain't gotta call you mine. I don't have to take your heart, I just wanna take your time" the music was still going while Violet gave the people his signature smile and a wink. To say the least many were heated by his song. So some couples took their chance to go into their tents. The only ones remaining there was Rwby and their friends. Time went by till Sky told Cardin he forgot his sleeping bag. Which Coco said she needed to go to the bathroom so she companies (I think I used the wrong word sorry) him back to the dorms.

A small room could be seen filled with hay on the ground. Then the door opened to reveal a man who was pulling Jaune by his hair. The first thing to notice was Jaune was ten years old. He was shirtless and blood staining areas with cuts. He was thrown to the floor, "Get comfortable freak, we'll continue our little game later" he said as he walked out and closed the door. Jaune had his face buried in the hay, his wings completely clipped. He cried till someone pounded on the door "Shut the fuck up!". Jaune crawled to the corner of the room sobbing. Leaving a trail of blood stain hay, once he got to the corner he rolled up into a ball.
"I want my *sob* mommy" he whimpered, he was shaking of fear. "Hey kid" Jaune froze up "I know you heard me" Jaune slowly turned to see a shadowy figure in the opposite side. "W-who are you" Jaune moved to have his back on the wall. "I'm your friend" Then Jaune saw a shadow figure (Imagine the shadow figures from volume one ;). "What are you?" Jaune started to wipe the tears away while keeping a eye on the shadowy figure. "I'm a old friend Jaune, I've been there for you since day one" Jaune stayed in his side.
Jayne remained quiet till he felt weak and fell asleep. He woke up by cold water that was splashed on his face. He started to choke on some of the water that made it through his mouth. "Wake up!" One of the kidnappers said in a menacing voice. Once Jaune stopped choking and he looked at three guys wearing masks. "P-please-" the one in the middle slapped Jaune in the face with so much force. Jaune fell on his side, he started to cry again. "Hold him down" one of the men pulled Jaune to be facing the ground. In each side one of them grabbed Jaune's arm and wing. And they kept them in place "do you know why we kidnapped you" the guy was still standing asked Jaune.
"Please I just want my mommy!" Jaune shouted which got a good stomp on his back. He got stomped over and over till Jaune felt weak from the blood loss and the pain was to much. "Dude he pissed himself" the guy on his right said with a chuckle. "Can we just finish please, I hate touching this animal" the one in the left said with so much venom. "Fine" he went to grab a butcher knife that looked dull and rusty "This is going to be so much fun" he said as he rises the blade up to cut through Jaune's wings. As the blade went down Jaune cried out.
"AAARRRGGGHHHH!" Jaune woke up from his nightmare fuel memory. He was panting while holding himself, he looked around to see nobody in the room. And that's when he remembered his team were out camping with everyone else. So once he calmed down he slowly got up from his bed and went to the bathroom. He splashed some water to his face and looked at his reflection. He hasn't had those dreams in so long. But every time he had those dreams he would remember the pain he went through. His heart was still rising so he took some long breaths and went back to his bed. He took off his onesie and put on some shorts and a white shirt. Then he reach for his scroll and just as he was about to walk out he felt the cold air through the crack of the open door.
So he went back in to grab a sweater he hasn't worn in a long time. A hoodie with white sleeves and the rest is red. After putting it on he made his way to the rooftop where he used to train with Pyrrha. Once he got there he opened the door and pushed the door to close. But it didn't close completely and left a small crack open. But he didn't notice, once he took his seat at the ledge he saw smoke coming from the cliff where everyone is camping together. Just thinking about it made Jaune feel lonely again. Yea sure he was invited but he felt it was a pity invitation. But just seeing the smoke and knowing that his friends were having a better time without him. Made him frustrated and sad, sometimes he would just think of leaving beacon. Jaune chuckled "Would anyone care?" Jaune told himself with a sad tone. He looked down to see nothing but darkness. "It would be so easy to just let go" he whispered, but he knew that his family would be sad to hear that. But his aunts and uncles would be happy to get rid of him.
Jaune then felt his tears sliding down his cheeks. He wiped them away and pulled up his hood and got his scroll. He opened a app for piano which wasn't that good but it got the job done.
"And hurry okay, I don't want to miss anything. I have fifty liens in Nora confessing her feelings to Ren tonight" Coco said to Sky who was opening his door to go and get his sleeping bag. But then she got a message from Ruby who asked her if she could bring her. Her sweater that was in her closet, after that she got a message with a code to unlock her door. "I'll be right back, I have to go get Ruby her sweater" so she left Sky who didn't hear her. As she was walking through the hall did she not notice the door for the roof slightly open.
Jaune started to play the piano just in time to get Coco's attention. She stopped right next to the door. "Gotcha" Sky said while pulling his sleeping bag from under his bed. But then he heard a piano from his window. Coco was about to push open the door when she heard some one singing. "Would anyone notice, If tonight I disappeared? Would anyone chase me" Sky got closer to his window. "And say the words that I need to hear? That I'm no burden. Not so worthless, Bent so much that I just might break" He looked out the window and up to see legs dangling. "All-consuming, So confusing, The questions that keep me awake. Would anyone care, would anyone cry. If I finally stepped off of this ledge tonight?"Jaune looked down. Barley seeing ground, it was so dark he didn't even notice Sky's head "Would anything change, would you all be just fine? 'Cause I need a reason to not throw the fight It just might save my life, Would anyone want me" Jaune's memories of how he's friends have a better time without him. Tears started to build up "If they knew what was inside my head? Would anyone see me. For the person that I really am?" Jaune then imagine his wings still there.
"I won't lie, So hard to hide, I've never felt worthy of love" images of Weiss and Pyrrha came to mind. Coco pushed the door a little bit more. To see who was singing but all she saw was the back of a person wearing a hoodie "I would give up, Everything I have. Just to feel good enough. Would anyone care, would anyone cry If I finally stepped off of this ledge tonight? Would anything change, would you all be just fine? 'Cause I need a reason to not throw the fight. It just might save my life-" Jaune then heard the door creek. "Whose there?" Jaune said in a deep voice. Coco pushed the door to reveal herself, "Sorry, I just heard you sing and...it was very emotional and-". Once she saw the figure slowly turn towards her but the hood helped Jaune to cover the top of his face. But Coco saw those bright blue eyes shine through the night.
She was actually stunned from seeing those bright blue eyes. Jaune stood up but remained away from Coco. And Sky started to climb out the window and started to make his way up to see who the hell was singing. "Your not supposed to be here" Jaune said in his fake voice. "Calm down okay, what's your name?" She asked with her hands up to show she's not holding anything. Jaune panicked and stepped back but to his stupidity, he forgot where he was. So he fell off the ledge, Sky got smacked on the head by Jaune's foot. Coco ran to the ledge and saw Jaune fall into the darkness and heard tree branches break. So she ran back inside to go down there to see if he was okay. Sky was rubbing his head with his free hand.
Some branches broke Jaune's fall, and his aura protected him. Once he landed on the floor did he try to stand up. He noticed his sweater was ripped in some areas where the branches were caught. Then he heard someone running towards him "Hey are you alright?!". Jaune then ran towards the opposite direction from Coco's voice. Coco made it to where Jaune should have landed and noticed the broken branches on the ground. She looked around and kept looking while Jaune ran farther away. Once Jaune got far enough he took off his hoodie and left it in a bush. He then walked back to the entrance of his dormitory. After checking if Coco was anywhere near there he walked inside and went to his room to sleep.

The morning came, Jaune got up from bed and went to grab his everyday clothes for the day. He went into his bathroom brushed his teeth, took a shower. After that he grabbed his wig and glasses and hide them inside his pockets. He made his way to the cafeteria, he noticed it was almost empty. He got his food and went to his table. He started to eat his breakfast when the doors open to let many students who camped outside in. As he was eating he noticed his teammates walking in with team Rwby. And of course he saw his partner with her boyfriend. It took them couple of minutes for them to sit with him. "Hey fearless leader, where were you?" Nora asked him. Jaune slightly turned towards her and gave her a fake smile. "Sorry Nora, I was tired from helping my friend with something" he said in a cheerful voice.
"Did you see Violet's performance!" Ruby said while stuffing her mouth. "Nah" He said casually which made everyone at the table stop doing what they were doing. "What?" Jaune asked as he looked around to see everyone staring at him. "Sorry Jaune but what did you say?" Nora asked him with a nervous voice. "I said Nah" then Yang slammed her hands on the table. "What do you mean "Nah", are you dissing my man!" Jaune gave her a confused expression. "What man?" He asked which made Yang reach for him threateningly. He backed up and fell on his ass, just as she was about to crawl towards him. Velvet and Coco walked pass them, Jaune looked at Coco and remembered last night. Thankfully he had his hoodie up and she didn't notice who he was.
Just as Yang got to him did they hear Coco say something that gave Jaune a heart attack. "I'm telling you Bun-bun, I heard someone who sounded like Violet sing on the roof of Team Crdl's room". Jaune looked up at Yang who was distracted by Coco and saw a opening. He pushed Yang off of him, which he then made a mad dash towards the exit. "JAUNE!" Yang yelled out his name, but Jaune never stopped even tho he heard the Dragon's roar. Eventually he stopped and noticed she never followed him so he leaned on a tree and slide down. But then his scroll ringed, he answered the call "Hello?". "Hello Mr. Arc, could you please come to my office" Ozpin said. After making it to the Headmaster's office he noticed Ozpin drinking from his mug. When he noticed Jaune walking in he placed his mug down. "Mr. Arc, please have a seat" Jaune then sat on one of the chairs located in front of him. "Did you need something Headmaster" he said nervously. "Why yes, I wanted to know if your back is okay", "M-my back?" Ozpin then turned on the small hologram to show the scene from last night.
To say the very least, Jaune was surprised by the fact that he was discovered this soon. It showed everything, the part when he got there and when he fell off the roof. He was scared but is got worse "I've had that camera installed there since last year". Jaune's world started to crumble down, realizing that he told Pyrrha about his fake transcripts there. He lowered his head down in shame "this is it, I've failed as a Arc". "And to say I was surprised to hear such a sad song. From one of the happiest students I have ever seen" Jaune looked up confused. Ozpin gave him a small smile "But I will say this, you have a great talent Mr. Arc or should I say Violet" Jaune tensed, "I don't know what you mean". Ozpin got up from his chair and made it towards a wall with large gears moving. "Please Mr.Arc, Don't play dumb with me. I've heard you sing and Violet, if it wasn't for the song you sang last night. And the "This song saved my life" song and comparing them. I Wouldn't have realized it"
He finished saying when he made it to the wall. Jaune wanted to deny everything but he knew he couldn't so he sighs and leans back on his chair. "So what happens now?, you expel me from Beacon for my transcripts or tell everyone about my secret" he tiredly said while looking through the big window. "What happens now" Ozpin stopped one of the small gears and pushed it in. Which made the rest of the gears stop and then they went up to reveal a piano. "You play for me, and if I like the song then I'll give you a chance" he said while pushing his glasses up. Jaune was stunned by the proposal, so he got up and made his way to the piano. "Do you mean it, if I play for you. You'll let me stay in Beacon" he said with a hopeful expression. Ozpin was confused "What do you mean Mr.Arc?. I was never going to expel you from Beacon. You've earned your spot by completing the initiation".
Now Jaune was confused "Then what did you mean by chance?" Jaune then felt this cold chill go through his body. Ozpin's eyes were shadowed by his bangs "A chance for me to not tell Miss.Goodwitch who you really are" Just then Jaune had flashbacks of his escape from her at the news station. If it wasn't for the fact she accidentally grabbed his ass and was surprised by how toned it was. He wouldn't have the chance to give her the slip. "You wouldn't" he said with fear present in his voice. Ozpin eyes finally revealed themselves with so much anger "I will, I've been through hell and back. Because of you, canceling your concert" he then pointed at Jaune with an accusing manner. "We've lost so many people through her carnage. Just because you canceled YOUR CONCERT!!!" Jaune backed away slowly.
He hasn't been here this long but during his stay. He never seen or heard Ozpin so angry, but he wouldn't risk angering him farther. So he took his seat at the piano "before you play, can you get in your getup?" Ozpin said. Jaune was confused but he did as he was told, he removed his armor and hoodie. Now he only had his white shirt and then he put on his wig and then his glasses. "Better" Ozpin walked towards his desk and sat in his chair. And to add to his amusement, he pressed the button that turns on all the speakers in beacon. Many students who were in the training room stopped once they heard the speakers turn on. Which includes Yang benching, Pyrrha lifting dumbbells and Nora who was doing squats. And in the armory was Ruby working on her baby and Weiss was with Winter. They were walking towards Weiss's room when they heard it too.
Glynda was in her office working on Ozpin's paper work, when she heard the speaker go on. "What is it this time" she said tiredly. Team Cfvy were about to leave the dormitory but they also heard it. Emerald was walking around bored out of her mind when she heard the speaker outside go on too. Blake was in the library reading when she too heard it. "How would you like to perform the vytal festival opening" he said while moving his hand for a hand shake. Jaune was stunned, he looked at Ozpin's hand and then he looked up to see his eyes. And he eagerly grabbed his hand "I would love to". After the deal Ozpin released a chuckle and then they heard a alarm go off at Ozpin's desk. "Are we under attack?!" Jaune said while standing up. "No, something much worse" Ozpin whispered, Jaune looked terrified "Then what is it?". "Glynda is coming" he said in a whimper, then Ozpin grabbed Jaune and pulled him to his secret elevator. He opened it and tossed Jaune in "Headmaster!", "Sorry Mr.Arc, but my journey ends here. Sing my story to the people and never forget" Ozpin said in a serious voice.
As the doors were closing, Jaune saw the other elevator doors being forcibly open by Glynda. But thankfully she didn't notice his elevator closing. As he was going down he could hear destruction from the elevator's vent. "You won't be forgotten sir" Jaune did a soldier salute.
Two days later
Jaune could be seen walking down the hall, when he spotted Headmaster Ozpin rolling through the hall towards him. Ozpin was in a electrical wheel chair from the battle to protect Jaune's manhood. As he passed by him, a single tear gracefully slide down his cheek. "Thank you" Jaune whispered, and Ozpin held his head high as he was pushing the joystick on his armrest.
