Singing your problems away Chapter 12: Sorry for updating late, a rwby fanfic

I am so sorry for updating this story so late. I had this chapter done since two weeks ago but. Somethings happened that I needed to handle and that wasn't the worst part. I lost more then half of the work which made me write it again and add more stuff into it or remove it. But that's enough of my apology but I think you guys deserve something for being patient. So I made a prequel that will be posted under this story. It takes place in Halloween for Ruby's thirteenth birthday. I know Halloween passed but I didn't have the time to start on it. But since Halloween I was working and then Monday I had to go do some errands. And then Tuesday was the day of the dead and I went to visit my grandparents graves. And on Wednesday I had plans with a old friend I haven't spoken for a long time so yea that was my days. But forget about me telling you my excuses, let's get on with the show

Jaune threw his new scroll on his bed and looked at his guitar. He grabs it and starts walking to his door. Just as he was about to open the door. Did his scroll started to ring, he knew it was Nora or Ren trying to call him. But he just ignored it and walked out. He made his way to the living room where he spotted team CFVY, Professor Port and Kim. With his family, but the soon to be wed are nowhere to be seen. Jade looked up "Hurry, I'm about to start the live video!" Jaune walked down the stairs. He is wearing a black long sleeves shirt with two buttons that are undone. Showing a little bit of his chest and his sleeves are rolled up. And he has a silver necklace and three ring bands. Two of them were silver and the last one is gold. He is rocking brown pants and black boots. He slicked back his hair and to add to his old ways. He only had one piercing on his left ear.

Coco looked him up and down and gave him a thumbs up. Velvet had a small blush and kept staring at him. Which Oro and Jonathan noticed and Jasmine spotted that look she kept sending to her son. But seeing her brown hair and bunny ears while remembering a little kid from that performance Violet did on live television. She started to imagine Timmy being between Jaune and Velvet while holding their hands. Like a family would, she started to imagine taking care of him. And him calling her Memaw. "Mom!" She snapped out of her day dream and saw Janice. "Sorry I was just thinking about something hehe" she told her oldest daughter. Janice rolled her eyes "I have a good idea of what". Once Jaune made it down the stairs Kim was the first to be right in front of him. "Wow, you look amazing Johnny", "Thanks" she went and started to squeeze his bicep. "O my god!, you've been working out" Jaune started to blush.

Velvet started to get annoyed by Kim's actions towards Jaune. Coco noticed her partner's mood so she leaned to whisper something to her. "It seems you have some competition bun-bun" Velvet just ignored her. Saphron turned to her bisexual wife who kept staring at Jaune. She got this smug smile "We could forget about Violet and just let Jaune be the donor~". Terra looked at her wife with a small blush "I already told you, I want to ask Violet first" she crossed her arms. Jonathan couldn't help but smile at his son. And the same could be said about Oro who had this big smile. While Jade was trying to pull Kim away from her brother's arm. "Let go of my big brother!" Jade shouted to Kim who was holding onto Jaune. "Is that anyway to talk to your future sister-in-law!", "No your not!, big brother is mine. And if he wants a girlfriend then I know someone better!". Everyone then gave their attention to Jade who finally got Kim to let Jaune go. Even Jaune was staring at Jade "Who are you talking about?". Jade started to feel shy when she saw everyone looking at her so she started to look down to the floor. She then started to poke her index fingers together "I was thinking that you might want to be my teacher's boyfriend?" Jaune kneeled down. "And who might she be?", "Elisabeth" she whispered to Jaune. But sadly Kim heard the name "You can't be serious, she's insane".

Jaune looked back at Her "Kim-", "She thinks angels are real. And she says one of them saved her-". Jade started to get anger which made her tear up from rage. Jaune glanced at Jade and then he stood up and looked down at Kim "That's enough". His voice changed to a deeper one with power behind it which made Kim stop ranting about how Elisabeth is crazy. Oro and Peter were impressed by his voice so Oro leaned closer to Port. "That's my grandson" he said with pride. Velvet has never heard his voice like this before. But for some reason she started to feel kinda hot. Coco just lowered her sunglasses to see Jaune's expression. "Now apologize to Jade and we can forget this ever happened" Jaune's eyes turned cold. Kim started to feel ashamed and by how Jaune is looking at her. She caved in "I'm sorry" she said but she kept staring at Jaune's eyes. So Jaune took one step closer to Kim and grabbed her chin gently "Not to me". Kim started to turn red, he then turned her face to Jade who was looking up to her with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry Jade for saying that" Jade started to wipe away the tears.

She didn't say anything else but looked away from her. Jaune releases Kim and sighs and turns to Silver who was standing next to Alfred. "Is there anything to eat?, I'm starving" Jaune then started to rub his belly. "As in luck we made your favorite Master Jaune" Silver said while doing a small bow. Jaune walks up to him "Thanks Silver, but please call me Jaune. Non of that master stuff". "As you wish" Silver and Alfred gave the family and guests a bow before going into the dining room to set up plates. Jaune looked at Velvet and her team "So your the bodyguards for Violet?" Velvet couldn't meet his eyes. But that didn't stop Coco from walking to him "Yes we are and now that your here". Once they were face to face Coco extended a hand to him "I want to thank you for helping my partner and getting that trash expelled from Beacon". Jaune gave Coco a confused look "Sorry what?" He played dumb. But after getting ready for the meeting with Aries and Kong. He got a text from Ozpin explaining what happened to Cardin and his ex team.

"Come on Arc don't play dumb, I know it was you" Jaune just kept playing the confused card. Jonathan looked at his son "What is she talking about Jaune?", "I have no idea honestly". "Oh yea, then why did you tase Cardin's balls?", "You did what?!" Jasmine shouted at her son. Who winced from the sudden shout "If that's all he did to him, then he got off easy in my opinion" Jamie told her mother. Jaune started to chuckle at the memory of Cardin's pain/shocked face. "This isn't funny Jaune" Janice told her little brother. "I guess you should have been there when it happened" he said with a big smile. "I wish I was there for that" Coco said while smiling. "Coco!, don't encourage him" Jane said while giving Jaune a glare. Before Coco could reply Jaune just rolled his eyes "Just stop it, that asshole deserved it and more. After black mailing Velvet, that motherfucker had to go". After saying that Jaune was smacked by Oro who hit him. As hard as he could...in front of guests. which made Jaune's aura to flicker white. "What did I say about cussing in my house!" Jaune just shrugged it off.

"Sorry Gramps, I kinda lost my temper. But I don't regret doing that to him" he said while turning to the kitchen. "Now then, give me five minutes before I have to perform " he left everyone there. Just staring at his disappearing figure. He eventually got to the dining room and saw a big plate of chicken nuggets. And some side dishes with french fries, salad and two burgers. And a glass of orange soda with a crazy straw. He took a seat and started to dig in. While he was stuffing his mouth, Joan and Jade joined him. Jade sat at his right and Joan to his left. They sneakily stole some of his fries and nuggets. "Are you serious right now" Jaune asked them. After finishing his meal, they went to the theater that was outside in the back.

While that happened, Max and Kong were in Max's guest room. Many didn't know this but Max and him go way back. Kong was staring at Max with a sad expression. They were sitting next to each other on the bed. Max just told Kong about his condition and asked him to keep it to himself. "Is there anything that could help. Maybe there's some treatments that could help or-", "There's none". Kong held his breath but eventually he sighs "Damn...I'm sorry to hear that". "It's okay, I've come to accept it...but there's something I want you to do for me", "Anything man, you just name it" Kong instantly answered. Truth be told, Kong respects Max for everything he did for him. Without him, Kong wouldn't have a career in the music industry. Or help him find talented Faunus who were ignored by bigger record companies.

"Can you keep a eye on Violet for me when I die" he asked him. Kong was speechless by this favor. Everyone wished they could have Violet as a client but everyone knew he wouldn't accept anyone but Max. "Sure" he answered him as best as he could. Max gives him a small smile "Thanks man, this means a lot to me. Your the only person I trust that will have his back" he then stands up. Kong gets up too but he pulls out his scroll "Alright then, but can I ask you for a favor too. I wanted to talk to you about your friend Jaune". He handed him the scroll with a video ready to play. Max felt confused till he pressed play and saw something that made him worry. It was the same video of Jaune singing while being high. He kept looking at the way Jaune was moving and staring randomly to the empty areas and not the audience. He's seen him like this in his last concert before he quiet being Violet and working on music. "I thought maybe you could help me get him like a client. Before Josh gets a shot at him" he notice how Max looks worried. "When and where did this happen?" Max asked him while watching the remaining video.

Team CFVY was sitting together near the stage. While Jaune's sisters were beside them with shirts that has his name in color gold. Kim was next to the twins and Peter was sitting next to Oro. The maids and butlers were there too. As Jasmine and Janice took a seat next to their husbands, Jade came out on stage. With the same shirt like her sisters are wearing but her's is pink while her sisters are black. Alfred who was sitting next to the camera that was on a tripod. He got the signal to turn it on by Jade who then got close to the mic and adjust it for her height. "Testing testing, I'm Jaune's favorite sister" she said while getting her sisters to yell "HEY!". She got this smug expression "But it's true, right big brother?". "No comment!" Jaune shouted behind the curtains. He was inspecting his guitar and plugging in Steve's device.

Menagerie

Ghira finally finished his paperwork for the day. So he went to spent some time with his wife. As he was entering his living room, he spotted a guest. Sienna was talking to Kali when they heard him come in. "Sienna, what do I owe the pleasure?" He said while sitting next to his wife. "I came here today because there's rumors you invited Violet to perform here at the festival" which made Kali turn to her husband. "Is this true?" Ghira didn't mention this to his wife just in cause Violet turned down the offer. "Yes", "And what did he say?!" Kali was in fan mode right now. Ghira just sighs "He hasn't replied to my offer yet", "That's good to hear, we don't need a human on this island" Sienna told him. "It's not your choice to make" he stood up which lead Sienna to do the same. "Why let one of those humans on the island. We have enough Faunus performers coming to do their part". "That's not the point, we want equality. And to do that we need to extend a welcoming hand. Not go off stealing, blowing things up and making us look like terrorists!" Sienna was about to respond back.

But Kali's scroll got a notification which played a part of the song, soul sister by Violet. That seemed to kill the tension between her husband and friend. She pulled out her scroll and saw a notification from Jade's dustube channel. She saw a live video happening so she started it. She looked at them while connecting to her hologram projector "If your going to fight then leave. I want to watch this". Ghira gave Sienna one last glare and took a seat, she did the same.

Ilia was in her room when she got the notifications as well. She was on a bunk bed with Trifa on the top bunk. She then heard Trifa getting a notification too. They pressed play, while in the next room, Yuma was bunking with another fellow White Fang. He also got a notification and started to watch it.

Camp Sight

Vernal is pissed, she didn't hear or see Violet appear on that stupid video. So she was taking her frustration on Shay. As Shay fell face first to the ground by a furious Vernal. Raven was watching them by her tent and she was not impressed. Shay started to get up and rub his jaw. "What the fuck is your problem?!", "You men are the problem!". She sprinted towards him, ready to beat him even harder. But her scroll rings when she was only two steps away. She stops and hesitated to check her scroll. But she gave in and saw Jade starting a live video again. "What is it?" Raven asked her, she walked beside her. But she saw the notification "Is this what you've been watching?". Vernal just kept staring at the screen. Raven was becoming annoyed by how Vernal was just staring at the screen. She looks like a person who was afraid to open their test results. So Raven snatched her scroll and pressed play.

And to add more panic to Vernal, she made the video display in a hologram. Which got some of the bandits's attention.

At A Safe House

Roman and Neo could be seen relaxing on their couch. When Neo got a notification on her scroll. She looked at it and pointed to it and then to the hologram projector. Roman just rolls his eyes "Sure, there's nothing good on anyways"

Beacon

Nora finished explaining how she found out about Jaune's secret to Ren. Who was sitting next to her on his bed. They gave up after the tenth call to Jaune. And so Nora told him about how Jaune found her in the mall and how he helped her with everything. It was a lot to take in for Ren so he just remained silent. Nora placed her hand on top of his that was on his leg. She gave it a little squeeze to shake him out of his silence. "We need to talk to him Ren. So I was thinking maybe we can talk to Ozpin and go visit him" she seemed hopeful. "What about Pyrrha?" He asked the million lien question. After hearing about how he feels from when he came back from his interview. And the last time they spoke to each other outside the cafeteria. "We ask her if she wants to come too", "It's not that simple" he told her. She was about to say something but then it clicked. Everything he said in the diner. As all of this was happening, her scroll got a notification. She looked at it and saw a live video coming from Jade's channel.

Emerald was in her dorm with Cinder waiting for Mercury to come back. Cinder was going through her scroll to kill time while Emerald was listening to one of Violet's songs through some headphones. Cinder turned to her and saw her popping her head to the beat. But she stopped when she also got a notification from Jade. She took off her earphones and got up from her bed. "I just got a notification from that Arc child" she told Cinder. Since that night when Violet sang that song at the club before being rescued by her and Vernal. Cinder became interested in him but not his music. Which kinda bothered her but she couldn't argue about it anyway. She kinda shared her crush with a complete stranger and hasn't told Cinder or anyone else. "Then start it, we have nothing to do but kill time" after saying. Emerald started the video.

Ozpin was in a meeting with James and Glynda. They were discussing about Amber and finding someone to be the next Fall maiden. When Glynda got a notification from Jade. She was disappointed by the lack of Violet from her earlier video. But she was happy to see that family reunion. "What is it?" James asked her while Ozpin knew to well what it was. "Is that Mr. Arc's sister, Jade?" Glynda was blushing while trying to avoid Ozpin's eyes. "Why don't you play it for us" Ozpin wanted something to distract him for a bit. James wanted to continue the conversation but Glynda started the video.

Ruby was on her bed thinking about Jaune and his appearance. For some reason she couldn't stop and think of how she never noticed her friend like that. Weiss was just thinking of how wrong she was about Jaune. She saw somethings that put Jaune in a whole different prospective. Seeing how his family seems normal, loving and caring. She felt a little jealous of him having that. Yang kept replaying his song by memory. And hearing his voice sound so manly. While she couldn't stop hearing his voice, Blake and Winter couldn't stop and thinking of his body. Seeing him fresh out of the shower. With his blonde hair wet, his tone body. And how tight that towel was wrapped around his waist. To see those buns when he bend over to get his scroll.

As they were thinking all of this, Ruby's scroll alerted her of Jade's channel.

As Jade was talking to her remaining subscribers. Jaune was back stage getting ready. He kept checking his guitar and his ear piece that was connected to the usb. After that he looked himself over through the mirror that was hanging on the wall. He started to make sure his hair would stay back. He didn't put nothing on, just combined it back. While he was doing this a image of himself as Johnny started to flicker behind him. He started to focus his attention on the image. As he was doing this, the image started to get closer. Then he felt a hand land on his shoulder. He grabbed it by reflex "Jaune!" He turned to see Max right next to him. Max saw his panicked eyes "Are you okay?". Jaune releases him and takes a deep breath "Yea sorry" he started to rub his eyes with his left hand. "Just thought I saw something", "You don't have to do this. If your not feeling okay". "I'm fine, just a little tired from last night" Max got more concerned. He wanted to say something else but Jade shouted her brother's name.

Which means, it's show time. "Well, I best go out there and rock their socks off" Jaune said. But before he could walk out on stage, Max grabbed his arm. Jaune turned to him "After this, we need to talk, alright" Max seems nervous. Jaune wanted to ask him what's going on but Jade shouted his name again. "Just go, we'll talk after" Max then releases him. Jaune hesitated but he knew after the performance Max will tell him what's going on. So he marched out there and saw Jade giving him a small glare. "Where were you!, I called you twice" she said with a pout which got some viewers to squeal how cute she looked. "Sorry I was talking to Max about something hehe" he started to scratch his cheek with his finger. To say many of the females and some males couldn't help but see this hunk of a young man.

Standing there looking embarrassed with that tight, tucked in shirt. And letting them see a little bit of his chest. And his rolled up sleeves showing his tone forearms. But then he looked at the crowd and spotted the camera. He looked at it and waved at it "Hi and thanks for giving my sister another chance". He walked up to the mic and adjusted it to his height. Jade moved away but stayed on stage with her brother. "So I'm going to sing you guys some songs instead of Violet. He wanted to be here but something came up so he asked me to perform for you guys instead" he got in position and grabbed his guitar. "But before I start playing. I want to give a shout out to Steve Urkel. Who invented a device that could make music by your brain waves or something like that"

Oro was intrigued by this and so was Ozpin and James. "And the first song I'll be singing to you is about pollution. I came up with this song when I saw a documentary with my twin sister, Joan...there's four hours of my life I won't get back", "Hey!" he just sticks his tongue out to her and she did the same. But once done he got his trade mark smile. After hearing that Raven wanted to turn off the video but then they heard him play. "The indulgence of our lives. Has cast a shadow on our world, Our devotion to our appetites. Betrayed us all, An apocalyptic plight. More destruction will unfold, Mother Remnant will show her darker side. And take her toll" his voice sounded so different. Coco and Velvet were stunned to hear him sound so professional. Raven started to like it and the rest of her bandits too. They were skeptical at first when he said this song was about pollution. "It's just another way to die" he started to tap his foot to the beat. Ghira started to do the same but with his finger on the table. Kali noticed this and couldn't help but smile "There can be no other reason why. You know we should have seen it coming. Consequences we cannot deny, Will be revealed in time. Glaciers melt as we pollute the sky. A sign of devastation coming. We don't need another way to die, Will we repent in time?".

Team RWBY and Winter have heard Jaune sing before but this still surprises them. "The time bomb is ticking, And no one is listening. Our future is fading, Is there any hope we'll survive?Still, we ravage the world that we love. And the millions cry out to be saved, Our endless maniacal appetite. Left us with another way to die" Ozpin was surprised to hear Jaune sound so rugged. Glynda was amazed by Jaune's new style and his voice. James leans back on his chair and listens. Not many know this but James has always been a fan of rock. "It's just another way to die" Jaune started to look around the crowd and met Velvet's gaze. "Ooh can we repent in time? Greed and hunger led to our demise. A path I can't believe we followed, Black agendas rooted in a lie. Ooh can we repent in time? Species fall before our very eyes. A world they cannot survive in, Left them with another way to die. Are we dead inside?" Ren and Nora couldn't understand how Jaune could change his voice like that. But one thing is certain, Nora was enjoying his song. "The time bomb is ticking, And no one is listening. Our future is fading, Is there any hope we'll survive?"

It's just another way to die" he started to focus his attention on his guitar. But he never broke eye contact with Velvet. Vernal was hypnotized by the way Jaune was playing. Left us with another way to die" he started to pop his head back and forward to the beat. Sienna didn't hate the song but she also didn't like it. "It's just another way to die, Ooh can we repent in time?" Kim kept on squealing, she was listening to Johnny again. "It's just another way to die, Ooh can we repent in time? It's just another way to die. Can we repent in time?" Once finished he raises his fist into the air. Everyone present started to clap but Kim couldn't hold it back so she spring up and clap like a maniac.

But then the twins got an idea, Jamie then got up on her chair. When she was standing on the chair she starts yelling at Her brother. "You call that metal!" Then Jane followed her sister's lead. "What's wrong Jaune, lost all that tense, aggressive tone!" Joan understood what they were trying to do. So she also joined them "What's the matter Jaune?, did Beacon soften you?!". All three sisters had a shit eating grin that ticked off Jaune. But what drove him over the edge was what came next. "JAUNE!" He looked up to his grandfather "YOUR A PUSSY!", "Dad?!" Jonathan said while looking at Oro. Who also wore a shit eating grin. Everyone watching the video were left shocked to hear that. Nora had wide eyes and Ren had his mouth opened.

"What did he just say?" Blake asked Yang who was taken back by the insult. But she eventually bursts out laughing. Ruby starts to look around for something but eventually she finds it. The ultimate weapon that is known to hurt anyone if they speak any forbidden words...the swear Jar of doom!. Weiss kept staring at The screen "They consider that soft!" She's never heard metal music in her life. So she wouldn't know there was even heavier metal out there. Winter just remained quiet after hearing her sister's question. She may or may not hear some in her spare time. Nora kept looking at Jaune who started to grip his guitar while you can hear his grandpa and father arguing. "You want metal, then I'll give you metal old man!" he took a deep breath and started to conjure up his anger.

Till he started to play again but this time he kept staring at the camera with this anger/cold eyes. "Is this metal enough for you, Is it heavy enough. Destructive enough, Am I dead enough for you, Am I tough enough, Corrupt enough, Am I bloody enough, Am I broken enough!" Yang's eyes went wide from Jaune's voice getting more aggressive. Ren was startled by another voice change. "Can I be, Can I be, One of the cool kids, The dumb shits" Weiss and Winter were taken back by his vulgar language. Sienna was confused by his new attitude shift from a nervous looking man to an anger one. "All I ever wanted to be, Is one of the brightest mother fuckin' falling stars. Can I be, Can I be, One of your heroes. The zeros" Ruby couldn't believe what she was watching. "Can somebody tell me, Am I the top of the bottom. Or the bottom of the top" he then started to move his head harder then before. Which is making his hair to get messier with all the moving. "Yeah" his hair eventually covered his eyes but left some small gaps for him to see through.

Kim and Jamie started to do the same as Jaune. "Is this empty enough for you, Is it ugly enough, Disruptive enough. Am I angry enough for you. Your time is up, Don't give a fuck, Am I bloody enough. Am I broken enough" Fox kept nodding to the drum's beat and Yatsu just remained unfazed. "Can I be, can I be, One of the good guys. The bad guys" Roman didn't like these kind of songs but. He turns to Neo who was raising her hand up in the air with the rock hand sign. While shaking her head back and forward to Jaune's song. "All I ever wanted to be is one of the brightest mother fuckin' falling stars. Can I be, can I be. One of your heroes, The zeros. Can somebody tell me, Am I the top of the bottom. Or the bottom of the top" he then flipped his hair back to reveal compassionate eyes. His voice went back to normal.

He started to play more gracefully "Long live the fallen idols, All moths unto the flame. You're chasing your own shadows, Are you not entertained?" His expression changed back instantly. He was enjoying the performance and he wasn't the only one. Ghira started to feel pumped by the song. Kali couldn't hold back this smile from seeing her husband getting pumped. Is one of the brightest mother fuckin' falling stars" Ozpin eventually started to tap his finger to the beat on his desk. "Can I be, Can I be one of your heroes. The zeros. Can somebody tell me. Roman just leaned back and hoped that her head doesn't hurt after all that popping. "Can I be, Can I be one of your heroes. The zeros. Can somebody tell me, Am I the top of the bottom. Or the bottom of the top" Jonathan felt kinda uncomfortable seeing his son like this. But he got worse when he noticed his wife started to take off her sandal "Top" Oro was unfazed by Jaune's singing but he also noticed Jasmine standing up. "What the heck was that for!" He shouted at the crowd. But once he saw his mother standing there with her hand extended towards him. And her bangs covering her eyes and the deadly aura was leaking from her again. He started to unconsciously shake from fear. "M-mom?" He took a step back "Don't you dare take another step young man!". "Don't do it Jaune-Jaune!" Nora yelled at the screen. She couldn't see his mom but she could hear her. So Jaune started to panic till he saw his mother raise her other sandal. He couldn't think of a way to escape but there was one thing that could save him. So he swallowed his pride and tried to regain his composure. "As a apology to those who didn't like that song. I'll sing you a love song I was planning to sing to...someone who I wanted to...say...I love you"

This made Jasmine to slowly take her seat but she still held the sandal. "That's it, let's turn it off before he starts singing his heart out" Raven hated those romantic music. Even after hearing Tai's playlist none stop when she lived with him. So she turned it off before hearing anyone disagreeing with her. Roman was about to roll his eyes when he heard the kinda song he is going to play. But Neo perks up after hearing his announcement. But before he could start playing, Roman's scroll starts ringing. He picks up and starts to nod a couple of times before hanging up. "We have to go" he told her but she started to protist. But he just turned off the screen "We can watch it later, we got a job to do remember. The animals spotted the armor truck getting near the ambush we set up" she crossed her arms and pouted. He sighs "I'll buy you ice cream on the way" she narrows her eyes and gives him a weak nod.

Velvet leaned forward and seems more focus then before. Coco saw her do this which made her chuckle. Kim started to smile and was thinking that maybe Jaune finally started to come around. Weiss started to shuffle on her seat and Winter noticed this. "Are you alright Weiss?" all she got was a small nod. "How much do you bet that this song is for ice queen" Yang whispered to her partner. Which Blake nods "Who else would he be singing to". Ruby heard this but remained quiet. Nora got closer to Ren and tried to hold his hand. Which was laying on the bed between them. Ren noticed this and moved his hand to hold her's too. Jaune started to close his eyes and think of...Pyrrha. Her beautiful hair and her emerald eyes that just shine in the night. He then starts to play and focuses on the love he was feeling.

He then turned to Kim who seemed normal till Jamie pats her back. And she fell to the ground face first which made Jade giggle. "Sorry bro, she fainted the second you opened your eyes!" Jamie told him. He just rolled his eyes till he saw his parents giving each other them fuck me eyes and Janice was doing the same to her husband. But his grandpa was the only one clapping and he also gives him a prideful nod. And he saw Port giving him two thumbs ups. He then started to think about the next song he would end with. But when he looked at his grandfather. He got a idea of which song to end with. But before he could start with the song. He needs some kinda feeling to sing it. So he starts to remember a moment that showed Jaune how much he still has to learn.

Flash Back

Jaune could be seen thrown to the ground by a punch from his grandfather. "You got to understand, strength doesn't mean anything if you can't land a hit boy. Now get up and use that small brain of yours" Jaune got up and started to loosen up his muscles. They both got on a fighting stance. It's been two months since Jaune started his hand to hand combat with his grandfather. He rushes him as fast as he could but to Oro. It meant nothing, he dodged his grandson's hits. Till he saw an opening and did a sweep kick. Which knocked Jaune on his ass. He could see Jaune trying to catch his breath. "We'll take a small break" he told him as he went and sat under the tree. They were in the backyard training. Jaune slowly got up and walked towards the tree and took a seat next to his grandpa. Sliver came to them with cold water bottles.

They started to drink when Oro looked at his grandson. "Why are you so determined to become a huntsman?" He asked while looking at the sunset. Jaune never looked at his grandfather but he answered him. "I want to be someone who can make the Arc name proud, like you and Jon-" Oro smacked Jaune's head. "Show some respect for your father!" Jaune started to rub the spot Oro smacked him. "Why should I, he doesn't want to teach me how to fight or doesn't want me to uphold the family legacy" Jaune leaned back on the tree. "It's like I'm not even an Arc...just a freak born into the perfect warrior family", "We're not perfect" Oro told him. Jaune finally looked at him "How are you not perfect?. You've been fighting since you were twelve. You fought two wars and your still standing" Jaune got up and turned to look at Oro. "And if that wasn't enough. Your filthy rich and have a big family!" Jaune was out of breath from that outburst. But he saw how his grandfather felt uncomfortable by his praise.

"Your a hero amongst heroes Gramps", "I'm no hero" Oro started to get up. "I've done things that lead to so many deaths Jaune. I've buried millions of people who've had families waiting for them" Oro started to get sad from the memories. "I've out lived many young men who wanted to make a name for themselves", "But you've made everything for the better. You've fight for the Faunus to have land and freedom to roam on every kingdom". Jaune got closer to him "You fought for the last king of Vale during the Great War!". Oro's hands turned into fists "And you build this town and city from nothing", "That's enough Jaune". "But your-", "I said that's enough!" Jaune stayed silent while looking to his grandfather's emotional eyes. "I'm no hero Jaune, I've killed. Destroyed so many lives just for a fucking idiot" Jaune took a step back. "Yes I did some good for the world. But in doing so, I nearly lost my humanity. And it took me to see that many saw me like the devil. Bringing nothing but death and destruction just for someone who didn't deserve that power. Every night I would stay up and remember the faces of the people I killed. Just for that pathetic king who wanted nothing more then power!".

They stayed quiet for a bit till Oro shed some tears. "Nobody wanted to work with me. I stood alone against a small army to defend a small village. But nobody wanted to sacrifice their life's for it. They didn't see a reason to risk their lives for farmers or Faunus. I fought them head on til I slain the last person, I succumbed to my injuries" he started to take off his shirt. Jaune saw his battle scars "If it wasn't for the Faunus, I would have fallen that night". Jaune kept looking at one particular scar that was over his heart. Oro saw his eyes landing to that one. "This one nearly killed me, but I lived" Jaune touched his own chest. "I survived from being killed by someone powerful" he got closer to his grandson and placed his hand on his shoulder. And gave it a little squeeze "But I know you can be one kickass Huntsman like your father was. And you have the makings of a true hero Jaune. That's why I know your my grandson. You've been given this strength, will power by her". Jaune seemed confused "By who?" Oro just chuckled "Your guardian angel". "What?" Jaune seemed even more confused which lead Oro to laugh.

Jaune got closer to the mic "Thank you for watching and I hope you'll enjoy this last song". He then grabbed his guitar and adjusted it and got ready "This last song is dedicated to my grandfather. And is called Wrong side of heaven" he then started to play. Music started to play through Steve's device. "I spoke to God today and she said that she's ashamed. What have I become, What have I done. I spoke to the devil today and he swears he's not to blame. And I understood 'cause I feel the same" Oro closed his eyes and could feel this wave of emotion. Jonathan glanced at his father. Oro stood up and started to clap with so much pride and emotion that made him cry a little. Jonathan did the same as his father. Jasmine looked at her husband and followed his lead. Everyone started to do the same except Velvet and Kim who were still unconscious from the previous song. Jaune bowed with a smile but when he looked up. He saw Johnny standing near the exit door. But once he blinked he disappeared. His smile started to crumble slowly till he felt Jade crushing into him with a big smile. He looked down and she looked up to him. He couldn't help but pick her up and raise his guitar up. To show how beautiful it looked when the light hits it. The sliver skulls shines with the strings. Jade raises both hands in the air "My brother rules!". "And my sister rocks!" He shouted after her.

Ilia kept feeling this joy from seeing his performance. But something about the way he sounds made her think she met him before. After that last song Sienna turned off the screen and couldn't help but admit the last song is good. "Thank you all who watched my video and to the first hundred people who tuned in. I've sent you guys these shirts for watching" she started to wave good bye to the viewers "Till next time!". Sliver then turned off the camera. After that was done, everyone went up on stage to congratulate Jaune with his incredible performance. "I didn't know you could sing like that hot stuff" Coco told him. Jaune just shrugs "You never asked" he winked at her. "Hey Jaune" he turns to see Saphron pushing her wife forward "You got a new fan over here". Terra looked nervous, she couldn't met his eyes. He felt déjà vu seeing her like this "Your not going to offer me money for a fun time right?". He couldn't help himself and mess with her.

Jade and everyone except Saphron who knew about that time her wife sneaked into Violet's room and tried to bribe him with money for sex. Had their eyes wide open from shock. Jade raises her finger towards Terra "You were the person who did that?!". Coco and the rest of her teammates didn't understand what was going on. Terra felt all eyes on her, she got more red from being exposed like that. So she did the logical thing...she ran away with her wife following her. But Saphron just walked away instead of running. Everyone just kept looking at them. Jaune just laughed and turned to the two girls who are still unconscious. "Sssooo we should wake them up" he told everyone. "Leave that to us" Jane told him. He agrees and puts Jade down which made he frown. The only one to notices was Joan who saw her trying to hide it. "Well then, I'm going to put away my guitar and go to sleep" he said as he started to stretch his arms. He didn't wait for anyone to say anything else and tried to leave. But not before getting a look from Max which meant "We need to talk". So he gave him a discreet nod and just kept walking away.

It's been five minutes since the video ended and Jaune took off his shirt, earrings, rings and his necklace. He hid his guitar and made sure that the dresser was placed back the way it was. He laid back and grabbed his scroll and saw so many missed messages from Ren and some from Nora. He wants to talk to them but he couldn't bring himself to do it. And that's when he started to hear knocking coming from his door. So he got up and went to open it and saw his twin. "What's up?" He said as he leaned on the door frame. Joan looked at his chest and then his abs "You adjusted real quick from always wearing a full long sleeve shirt to hide your scars to not having any and being shirtless". Jaune "Yea I know, so what brings you up here?" Joan pushed Jaune to the side. She walked in and looked around "Damn I was to late", "What are you looking for?". "Nothing" she lied, she turned to him "We need to talk about Jade".

Jaune was confused "Talk about what?, she looks fine" He told her while closing his door. She walked up to his dresser and picked up one of his rings. "Come on Jaune, I know your dense but you should have noticed how she's been acting around you" she placed it down and grabs the earring. "What do you mean?" He walked beside her. "You haven't noticed how she's been acting!" She was getting frustrated. "Just tell me already!, I got things to do before going to sleep!" He was losing his patients. She wanted to scream at him but she knew that would just make things worse. So she cools down and looks at his eyes "She's been attached to you since you got back. And after her little argument with Kim. She called you her's and wants you to be with Elisabeth", "What does that have to d-". "She wants you to stay!" Jaune took a step back by the sudden shout. "She wants you to hook up with Elisabeth cause we all know she won't move away. Cause she thinks your still in that forest looking after her from afar". He moved away from her and went to his closet "I don't know what your talking about". He got a blue shirt "How stupid do you think we are?. We know it was you who saved her"

Jaune started to put on the shirt "And I've spoken to her and she told me. The angel she met that night was a kid just like her. And that he wore this blue hoodie that helped him to cover his face. And the only thing she could see from him was two pure white wings. And these blue eyes that could shine through darkness". "That could have been anyone or a-" Joan went up to him. "It was you Jaune and I know it. She told me the last time she spoke to him. Was the same day you were kidnapped!" she lost her breath from shouting at him. Jaune glared at her "Get. to. the. god. damn. point. Joan" she backed away from his glare. But she wasn't going to let him off the hook. "She's been lonely since her big brother left" She then marches towards the door. She opened the door and waited for a bit before leaving. "And so have we" she then walked out and closes the door. Leaving Jaune with his blood boiling. He turned to see himself through a mirror that is hanging on the wall.

He just kept looking at his reflection till he started to see it shift again. But this time Johnny has a freshly scar on his right arm with blood trailing down his ripped jacket. He closed his eyes and shakes his head. So he walks out to go find Jade.

Oro retires to his office with Peter who had team CFVY with him. As he took his seat on his business chair and the rest stays standing. He reaches under his desk and opens a drawer and pulls out a folder. He threw it on the desk and had this serious expression. "That's your target" Peter picked it up and opens it to reveal a picture of a man with black hair and a red eye. The most notable thing is his right eye being completely black. White pale skin and a large scar on his right cheek. Coco looks at the picture and got confused. "I thought we were bodyguards, not a hit squad" Peter just kept looking at the image. He then gave Velvet the picture and saw the file that was under the photo. "Kane Diablo?" Peter said while looking for more information. As Velvet passes the photo to Yatsu, Oro held his hands under the desk and looks down. "I want you to take him out if you see him" Velvet was the one to take a step closer to the desk. "With all do respect sir, we're studying to be huntsmen. Not killers for hire" Oro just chuckles.

He leans back but never raises his hands to show what he was holding. "To be honest Miss. Scarlatina, I don't care what you think your trying to be" this made Coco anger by the way he responded to her friend. "Cause if I learned anything in my life" he finally reveals what he was holding. A big white feather "Things never go the way you want it to". He kept looking at it with a sad expression. He placed it down and finally looks at them "Cause after I tell you what that monster did". He choked on his own words "You'll be begging me to keep you here". He waited for a disapproving answer or them just leaving. But none did which made Oro to get some strength to tell them. After a while Oro started to tear up by just remembering that fateful day. Port tried to move towards him and comfort him. But Oro raises his hand up to stop him.

"It happened seven years ago"his voice was shaking. "We were tracking down a group of people who belong to a cult. They believed Faunus were not meant to exist" Coco's blood started to boil. "They also believe in a deity who is the opposite of the god of light" Yatsu got interested by this new information. "When we found them in a abandon bomb shelter that was build back in the Great War...we found many bodies belonging to missing people". He balled up his hands into fists "Most of them were children". This made Velvet's heart sink "They were Faunus...none survived". Fox could hear Coco's thoughts and placed his hand on her shoulder to comfort her. His fists tighten by the rage that he is feeling "I slaughtered them to quickly...but one of them got away".

He started to remember seeing Jonathan holding a weaken Jaune. Covered in dry and fresh blood but the most notable is the lack of wings. Hearing his own son crying for his to wake up. And seeing around the cell and noticing the hay on the ground. Stained by blood and body fluids by Jaune. But he noticed something move in the corner of his eye. He turned to see a shadowy figure disappearing. "Oro?" This snapped him out of his memory. "That man who escaped is Kane and he's coming back", "For what?" Oro remained quiet. Port understood his silence "Is that feather from one of the children?". Oro just nods and that's all it took for Coco to look at her teammates and get a nod of approval from Yatsu and Fox. But Velvet remains frozen from hearing about the children. "Velvet?" she turns to see Coco grabbing her hand. "We don't have to do this if you don't want to" Velvet remained quiet. "You don't have to do this Miss. Scarlatina if you don't want to" Port told her. She turns and sees Oro looking at the feather and how he just kept looking at it. She turns back to her Professor and teammates "I'll do it"

Jaune could be seen walking towards Jade's room but before he could knock on the door. The rest of his youngest sisters came running towards him. Jade was running away from the twins "Somebody save me!". But once she saw Jaune standing in front of her door. She started to smile "Big brother!" Jaune just grabs her and pulls her up. Which made the twins to stop in front of him. "What's going on?" Jamie pointed at Jade "She ate all the Pumpkin Pete's cereal!". "And she ate the last of the chocolate chips cookies!" Jane shouted at him. He turns to Jade "Is this true?" she looks scared. "I didn't mean to. I was hungry and there was a little bit of them. So I thought of helping grandpa by eating them and Sliver could see that we ran out and goes and gets some more". He just laughs at the responds "Jade!" he heard his mother shouting her name. "We have to go!" once she got to where all four of them were. She saw Jaune holding Jade and the twins standing in front of them.

Jade started to move around and trying to escape Jaune's grip. "Young lady, we have to go now. You have school tomorrow and music class after school" Jasmine told her while walking up to her. Jade stopped trying to escape and used her super weapon...puppy eyes. "But I don't want to go" she then started to hug Jaune "I want to stay over with my big brother". "You can't stay, your brother has work tomorrow", "But I want to stay" Jaune could feel Jade's grip tightening. Jasmine reaches for Jade but Jaune backed away. Which earned him a raised eyebrow from his mother. "How about I take her to school tomorrow and then to her music class after?", "Jaune you can't-". "I can and I promise to get her there in time. That's an Arc's promise" he got serious. Jasmine took a moment before giving up and accepting. "Fine but she needs to go to sleep right now", "Understood" Jaune then makes his way to Jade's room and opens it. He never noticed but Jasmine started to smile. Seeing Jaune taking care of Jade like this again.

He carried Jade in who kept saying she wasn't tired. "But I'm not sleepy!", "It's late and you have school tomorrow young lady" Jaune then placed her on a queen size bed. That was colorful and filled with pillows and stuffed animals. But Jade just crossed her arms and pouts while narrowing her eyes at Jaune. "Then I demand a lullaby" Jaune just rolled his eyes. "Aren't you a little to old for lullabies?" Jade gasped and then got anger. She didn't say another word, all she did was lay down and furiously grabs her blanket and covers herself. And turns away from her brother. The action kinda made him regret saying that. He reaches for her "Leave!" She shouted at him. Jaune just recoils by the sudden demand. He thought of what Joan told him "She's been lonely since her big brother left". So he took a seat at the edge of the bed "I said that I want you to leave!". Then knocking could be heard "Hey Jade it's me Chris, I was wondering if Jaune is there with you. I wanted to ask him if he could sing something to help put Cerise to sleep?". "Come in" Jaune told Chris who opened the door to reveal Cerise wearing a pink onesie with a cute mouse cartoon.

And Chris also was wearing a white onesie with a black cat. "So everyone did get a onesie for last Christmas" Jaune said out loud for Jade to hear. "Yes and they are super comfortable" Chris told Jaune while walking towards him. Cerise kept on looking at Jaune like a stranger still. Chris noticed Jaune's upset expression and knew why he was like this. "You know your sister doesn't hold it against you" Jaune sighs and gives a weak nod. "Yea I know but it's not right. I'm her uncle and I haven't even been there for her first or second birthday" he kept looking at Cerise's suspicious staring. "Do you want to hold her?" He asked Jaune who looked at Cerise with a nervous smile. "No I'm fine, but if you want me to sing her a lullaby. We can go to your room-", "No it's fine we can do it here" Jaune nods but he turns to Jade. "Is it fine if I sing here for Cerise?", "I don't care" she answered him with a hint of jealousy.

Jaune just rolled his eyes and got up to go to Jade's desk and grabs a music box. He walks back and sits where he was and Chris sat at Jade's chair. Jaune then opens the box and a peaceful lullaby could be heard. Jade slowly moved to see if Jaune was looking at Chris and Cerise but he was staring at her with his signature smile. "Sleepy eyes say goodnight. Time to kiss the sun goodbye, Sleepy eyes I'll hold you tight. Rest until the morning" his voice was soft which made Cerise to look at her uncle. "Favorite books have all been read I checked for monsters under the bed. Teddy's hear and Snowflake too, Off we go to dreamland" he grabbed the two of the stuffed animals that were at the end of the bed. And gave Teddy to Jade. And got up to give Snowflake to Cerise who accepts it. She then started to hug it tightly. "No one knows what tomorrow brings. But I'll be here through everything. Sleepy eyes say goodnight, Sweet dreams little one"

He gave Cerise a kiss on the forehead and gave her a smile. "Cotton candy carousels, Pennies in the wishing well. Shining stars are never far, You can see them dancing. Building castles in the sand, Catch a firefly if you can. Skipping stones and ice cream cones, Morning birds are singing" he turns to Jade and sat next to her and started to move the covers so she wasn't in tangled. "No one knows what tomorrow brings, But I'll be here through everything. Sleepy eyes say goodnight, Sweet dreams little one" Jade's eyes started to dim slowly. "No one knows what tomorrow brings, But I'll be here through everything" Cerise fell asleep in her father's arms and held onto Snowflake. "Sleepy eyes say goodnight, Sweet dreams little one" once Jaune saw her completely close her eyes. Leans in and gives her a kiss on the forehead. He then stands up and turns to see Cerise already asleep. Jaune then nods to the door which Chris understood and followed him. Once at the door, Chris goes first and Jaune then walks out and turns to turn off the lights and hears the music stop. "Sweet dreams little one" he then softly closes the door with Chris giving him a gentle nod. Which Jaune returned with a warm smile. After that they went their separate ways.

After Jaune placed Jade to sleep. He went to the balcony where there was a small table between two chairs facing the ocean view. He had a bottle of whiskey with him and two glasses. He went and placed the bottle and glasses on the table and took a seat. He poured himself a glass and waited for Max to show up. But it wasn't long till Max joined him and also filled his glass. They were silent, listening to the waves of the ocean. But Max broke it by asking one question that Jaune hasn't answered yet. "What happened last night?" Jaune drinks a bit. After he finished he kept looking at the ocean "I never told you why I was in Tom's bar?", "No" Max looked at Jaune. Jaune just chuckled "For you to understand I have to tell you something" Jaune finished his drink. "When I left the music business and joined Beacon. I went for two reasons, one was to honor my family's name". "And let me guess, your second reason is Weiss Schnee" Max said with a small smile. Jaune nodded "Yea, but it didn't work out. She wanted Violet the famous, rich and most of all smooth persona" Jaune then reached for the bottle and filled up his drink.

"So after so many painful rejections. I took the hint and gave up on her and focused on my training" he took a sip of his whiskey. "But then I fell hard for my partner", "Did she reject you too" Jaune started to have this empty laugh. "No, I never had the guts to confess to her. But after my teammate Ren told me she felt the same. I got the courage to confess but I was to late...she hooked up with someone else". Jaune looked at his drink "So I went back to my old routes and started to drown my pain". Max felt terrible hearing this "So when I saw her kissing that asshole last night at the party. I lost control and left to find a distraction but I was jumped". Max nodded "And can I ask you another question?", "You just did". Jaune tried to lighten up the mood but Max wasn't having any of that. "Why did you say Cardin when I told you about the mugging?" Jaune closes his eyes. "Nothing passes you by, does it?", "Not when it comes to the people I care about".

Jaune stayed quiet for a bit just to explain what happened that night. "I've been seeing things as of late" Max then remembered what happened behind stage. "When I got jumped by Danny I saw Cardin Winchester. My personal bully from Beacon" Max gave him a confused look. "You have a bully?, you. The very same guy whose had training by your grandfather...yea I don't believe you. I've seen you in a bar fight. And that's when you didn't have aura. Heck I've seen you throw tables that are made of black ironwood across the room with one arm". Jaune chuckles at the memories of him fighting a gang inside a bar at Atlas. Where he and Max went to celebrate his successful concert on Patch. "Yea I remember that night. It was the night that I lost my virginity to that bartender" he remembers her white hair. But most of all those sheep ears. "Whatever happened to her?" Max asked him. Jaune didn't know honestly, after the quickie they had in a bathroom stall. He never got her number or name "I have no idea but it was fun". "So what happened again with the mugging" Max asked again.

Jaune felt a little bit better after remembering his first time. "Let's just say I heard and saw Cardin instead of Danny. So I beat the shit out of him and got away. But I forgot my scroll while I was walking away from the scene. And that's when I got to this underground hip hop and started to drink. I got drank enough to perform on stage and that's all that happened" he tried to cover the fact he was high. Max waited for a bit till he pulled out his scroll and placed it on the table. It showed Jaune preforming last night with his face zoomed in. Jaune kept staring at it "I know you enough to know that you weren't drunk here Jaune. I've seen you drunk before and perform while drunk too. So why don't you tell me the truth before I tell Amethyst. And she will get your parents involved" Jaune then looked at Max who had this serious look in his eyes. So Jaune leans back on his chair "I hate that you know me so well sometimes. But your right, I wasn't fully drunk that night...I was high on these pills that a strange I met at Junior's club. He saw me down in the dumps and gave me-", "You just took pills from a stranger".

Jaune just chuckles and shrugs "I wasn't in the right mind set at the moment", "This isn't a joke Jaune. I thought you learned this lesson back at Vacuo. Do you not remember what happened when I had to bail you out of jail. And how many celebrities I've seen destroy their lives with drugs". Jaune started to drink again "This isn't a game Jaune. You almost died that night beca-" Max stops ranting when Jaune shattered the glass with a bit of whiskey still left. Max just kept staring at the glass falling on Jaune's lap. Blood dripping from his clenching fist and onto the shattered glass. Jaune then opened his hand to show Max the cuts are already being healed. Small bits of glass being pushed out from the wounds. And then his aura started to glow this pure white color that left Max speechless. Once the healing was done and the scar disappeared Jaune started to wipe the blood and whiskey from his hand on his shirt. "Cool right?, with my Faunus healing and aura. I heal so much faster and prevent scars to remain...wish I had my aura back then. But now that I got your attention, let me tell you something. I know what I did was dangerous and there's no excuse" he then started to dust the broken glass onto the floor.

"But I'm not like those celebrities Max" he looked up to the moon. "I've been through so much, I've been bullied by my relatives. Tortured, amputated by a rusty butcher knife at the age of ten *sniff* and the saddest thing is...I look human now" tears sliding down his cheeks. "In a strange way, I wanted those wings removed" he shakily gripped his hands together. "But even then... I'm not happy. I've nearly lost my family to my self loathing, rage and...a stupid mistake that caused me to take a life". Max placed his glass back on the table and got up to stand in front of Jaune. He then kneels down while trying not to cut himself with the glass. And places both hands on his shoulders. "That was a accident Jaune, it wasn't your fault. I may not know what happened then but I know for a fact. Your not a killer and I don't care what people say". Jaune looks at Max's eyes. "But it is my fault and now I can't even show my face in town because of it" he then started to remember Leo's face.

"And if that wasn't the worst part. I left everyone behind just to follow my dream to become a huntsman. I'm a terrible person who doesn't deser-" Max shakes him. "What did I say about you insulting yourself. Your an amazing person who would do anything to help the people around you" Max notices Jaune slowly stopping his hands from shaking. "Your the very same person who I had the pleasure to met" Jaune started to wipe the tears away. "And the same person who gave me so much to be thankful for. So get your head out of your ass and enjoy the time you have with your love ones" he waited for Jaune to argue but all he did was nod. "Alright then" Max then looks at his watch "You should go get some shut eye. Cause tomorrow we'll be filming all day to make it on time for the deadline", "Alright" Jaune gets up and walks to enter the mansion but stops. Max just kept staring at his back waiting for Jaune to leave. "Thanks man, I really needed this" Jaune said before leaving. Max then took his seat and grabs his drink and leans back on the chair.

He just kept his glass filled with his drink. He kept seeing the ocean view. He slowly drinks his whiskey and keeps remembering everything he heard. "Could you use some company?" Jonathan walked up to where his son was sitting. And took a seat, Max finishes his drink and fills it up. Jonathan brought his own glass and he serves himself a drink. They just sat there in silence til Max broke it. "Did you hear?" Jonathan started to drink. The burning sensation helps him a little bit. "Yes, I was going to my father's office when I saw Jaune carrying a bottle of whiskey with two glasses. So I knew the other one would be for you so I went to get my own. But when I got back. I heard glass shattering and then I heard the rest" he answers with a sad tone. Max couldn't help but tear up "I'm sorry" Jonathan finally looked at his direction. "For what?, you didn't do anything wrong" Max couldn't meet his eyes. "For not being there for him. Not checking up on him when he left". "You couldn't have known. And besides you've had your own life Max" Jonathan then filled up his drink. "I should have been there for him, not you. I'm his father...and I wasn't there for him" Jonathan finished filling his glass and chugs it.

After he was done he got another refill "I should have been there when he was being bullied by my brother's family". He chugs again and gets some more "I should have been there when he was kidnapped". He repeats his actions again "I should have been there when the whole town turned on him!" Instead of filling his glass. He threw the glass to the floor and grabs the bottle. He drinks the remaining whiskey, and then wipes the whiskey that didn't manage to go into his mouth. Max just watches his mental breakdown. Jonathan stood up and throws the empty bottle to the backyard. After that he leans on the railing with his head down "I should have been there for my only son". He started to wipe away the tears and kept looking at the ground. "And now my son is broken and I can't do a damn thing for him" Max never heard him like this.

So he placed his glass down on the table and got up. He went to stand next to Jonathan who was breathing heavily. He leans on the railing too "You can't blame yourself for what happened". Jonathan faces him and was about to say something but Max didn't let him. "All we can do now is be there for him. And help him through this together" Max then started to play with his engagement ring. "And I'll be there for him till my last breath" he closed his eyes. Jonathan started to have this small smile "I'm glad Jaune has you in his life. And that my daughter has her whole life to spend with a great man like you". Max didn't dare look into his eyes "Yea". Jonathan then pats his shoulder "I think we should go and rest. We have a big day tomorrow after all" Max just nods and follows his father in law.

Jaune walked inside his room and started to take off his clothes and puts on his spare onesie. He hops on his bed and looks at his scroll and he sees more messages from Ren. He wants to call him but he couldn't bare to do so. So he turned off his scroll and laid down and started to feel all the emotion he was fighting back there at the balcony. Till he fell asleep from exhaustion.

Flash Back

He kept staring at her face. "I'm hideous aren't I?" He didn't know why but he felt this connection towards her. "No, your gorgeous" he moved his hand to touch her cheek. And started to caress her, she was so soft. He saw her blush "Is this the reason why you haven't confessed your feelings to Roy?". That blush disappears as fast as it came, she slaps his hand away from her face. Which lead to her to get up and walk towards the bedroom. "Wow, you missed up, pet" that voice sends chills down his spine. He slowly turns to see his kidnapper there. In his hand was the very same butcher knife he used on his wings. "But don't worry, you still got me" his smile starts to stretch. Jaune got back up and started to panic. But then he heard May coming back. He turned to her but saw her eye land straight to her beanie that was on the floor. So Jaune stood in her way to stop her. "Where you going?", "It's non of your business" she sounds anger. "Now doesn't that sound familiar" Jaune heard a second voice. He didn't need to look behind him to see who it was.

"Those were the same words we exchanged when you left me hanging" That voice belongs to someone he abandon. "And now I'm rotting away in a fucking cell. Because you wouldn't help me back then when I needed you!". Jaune got worse "Please" but she just moved around him and grabs her beanie. She then made her way to the door. "How does it feel seeing someone leaving you in your time of need Johnny?" A figure walked to his left side. Jaune looked and saw Leo there. Glaring at him with so much disgust. "At least your still alive" a third voice came from his right. He turned to see Jay standing there. With his goons beside him, they had torn clothes with blood. But the most notable thing was the revolver in Jay's hand. "Boys, boys, we have all night" Jaune felt his kidnapper right behind him. He felt his hands on his shoulders. He saw the rusty blade right in front of his face. He could smell the blood on it "To have some fun with my little pet here" Jaune started to feel like his ten year old self again. He started to cry "Please don't go, don't leave me here with them". He saw her stop and turn to him "I don't want to be here with them", "Who?". Jaune's legs felt weak so he started to back up on to the couch "I can't be left alone again". He started to see the room shift into his personal hell. His old cell, the five figures got in front of him. He could barely see May behind them. He started to look at their faces. Four of them had rage but one had this sadistic expression. He then focused on her "please" but she briefly turned her attention to the door. They got closer to him so he started to cry even harder "please don't leave me" his voice cracked. "I don't want them to hurt me" he started to crawl into a ball. "This brings so many enjoyable memories" he peeks to see him getting closer. "Now let's have some fun before you die", "I like the sound of that" Jay said while pointing the gun at him. "I don't want to die here!" He shouted. He saw May run through them and got right in front of him "Ssshhh, your going to wake the neighbors" he then felt a touch that lead him to jump a little.

"Jaune calm down please" he looked into her eye. He started to see her expression soften "Come with me" she said in a soft voice. At first he hesitated but he saw them glaring at him. So he gives in and follows her to the bedroom, once they were next to his bed. She reaches for his robe and wanted to take it off. But he didn't want her to see his scars. "Jaune please, take off the robe", "Nononono I don't want you to see me like this". "What's the matter pet, all she wants is to see my glorious art" he heard his voice right next to his right ear. He could feel his breath too "okay, okay" she gave up. Once he laid down he saw her turn to the door to the living room. "Seems like she really doesn't want to be here for you" Leo said venomously. But he grabbed her wrist just in time. When she looked down on him, he met her eye. "Please stay" he saw her hesitate but she gave in and laid down next to him. He then wrapped his arms around her for comfort.

"Jaune?" He heard a small voice speak his name. Which woke him up from his nightmare. He try's to look into the darkness and spots Jade standing next to his bed. With Teddy in her arms, she looked scared. "Can I sleep with you tonight?, I had a nightmare" her voice sounded hopeful. Jaune smiles and pats next to him "Sure" she climbed on his bed and went under the covers. And laid next to him, once she got comfortable. Jaune wraps his arm over her sister and holds her. "Jaune?", "Yes?" He looks down to see the top of her head. "Were you having a nightmare too?" Jaune remains quite. "Because I heard you whimpering in your sleep", "Let's just go to sleep. I have a lot of work tomorrow" he avoided the question. He started to close his eyes when she started to hug him. "Are you dreaming of that day?" Jaune was confused "What day?". He felt her tense "The day...Jay died" he was surprised to hear that. But mostly from Jade who shouldn't know about that.

Everyone from the family try's to keep that part of his life a secret from her. His wings, his kidnapping and most of all...the day he killed three people. She felt how uncomfortable he started to feel. "How do you know about that?", "Everyone at school knows about it. And sometimes people ask me if your in prison or-" he heard her choke. She squeezes him tightly, afraid he might disappear if she lets go. He could feel her small arms trembling. "Shh it's alright, I'm here" he told her in a soft tone. "I don't want to lose you *sniff*", "And you won't, I'll be there for you. No matter where you are, I'll be there" she lasted a good amount of time before she became tired and fell asleep. But her grip on him never loosen and he didn't dare to move. So he fell asleep too.

White Fang Outpost

"Status report" Adam said through a screen showing three White Fangs in uniform. "We have successfully infiltrated the Arc castle as servants" a feminine voice said. "And I've seen the guest list sir" the one on the right said. "The Schnee family have been invited to the wedding" Adam was confused. "What wedding?", "The one with Amethyst Luna D'Arc and Max Jones, sir". "Okay, but what of our third target?", "Violet hasn't been seen yet. But he should be here tomorrow morning sir" Adam was pleased by this. "Very well then, keep me posted" he then hanged up the call. "We should have told him about the Belladonna family also coming Emma" as the one on the left said to the one in the middle. "No, Sienna told us to keep quiet of them and her joining the wedding" she said as she took off her mask and her hoodie. To reveal grey hair and blue eyes "Now we should go to sleep. We don't want to be late for our first day at work" she said as she walked away. Revealing a wolf's tail wagging.

The Grimm Lands

Tyrian could be seen in a kitchen making cookies with a twisted smile on his face. "Can't wait for Violet to taste my cookies again" he said in a cheerful voice. Just before he could put them in the oven he pulls out a bag. "Can't forget the best part" he started to dig in the bag. While he was doing this Arthur Watts was reading Luna's newest book. He may have hacked into the company that published her books. And gotten a copy or two before they hit the shelfs. He was enjoying the story so much that he didn't realize Salem walking behind him. In the library "What do you have there Watts?". He was startled by her voice. "Just a book from one of my favorite authors my queen" Salem snatched the book away from him. And saw the title of the book "Rewrite The Stars by Luna". She was intrigued by the title "Do you have another copy?". "Yes I do", "Very well then, I'll be in my chambers reading this" she started to leave.

Jaune could be seen in his dressing room watching videos on his scroll. He is wearing a White suit with a black bow tie with his red wig and glasses. He's bored out of his mind, waiting for his concert to start. Jamie, Jane and Jade were supposed to be here with him. But something came up, which made it impossible for them to come to his fourth concert. And now he has five hours to kill all by himself. But of course Max told him to stay in his room. Cause he didn't want Jaune to get lost and getting in trouble. So he was watching a recording of Weiss Schnee singing on stage. She looks so graceful, pure but the lyrics brings so much emotion. You can actually hear the pain, the loneliness she's going through. He kinda feels relieved to hear someone who might understand him in some way. But also sad to hear her going through this. A knocking could be heard from the door. He automatically changed his normal voice to Violet's. He got used to it on his third concert. "Who is it?" He turned off his scroll and got up to stand in front of the door. "Room service" he heard a girls voice on the other side. He leans on the door and chuckles "There's no room service and last I remember. I never asked for anything~" he sang the last part. He then felt the door trying to be open forcefully. He just rolled his eyes and started to count to three.

Then she stopped and he could hear her shouting to be released. And that she was meant to be with him. After a couple of seconds he got a knock on his door while he was still leaning on it. "Are you okay Violet?", "I'm fine Don, we're kinda cutting it close aren't we now" he smiles. "Sorry about that, she just slipped by me" Jaune just gets off the door. "It's fine...so do you think I could possibly stretch my legs or", "Sorry Violet, Mr. Jones orders. I can't let anyone near you and to keep you safe in there". Jaune sighs and nods "I understand, your just doing your job". Jaune then goes back to his chair and spends his time staring in the mirror. And that's when he got a brilliant idea. "Violet isn't supposed to go out. But that doesn't mean Jaune has to be here" he got up and went to get changed. He changed into his normal clothes and removed the wig and glasses. He is wearing a black shirt with a skeleton rib cage. And over it was a black jacket with a hoodie attached to it. The jacket has flames on the edge of the sleeves. His black baggy jeans and brown boots with his white fingerless gloves. Just as he was moving towards the center of the room. He picks up a pink envelope that contains three VIP tickets that were meant for his sisters.

He puts them inside a pocket that was located inside his jacket. And walks to the center of the room and got ready for what came next. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY DRESSING ROOM!!" He shouted for Don to hear. Not even a second later, Don and two other security guards rushed in and grabbed Jaune. "How did you get in here?!" Don asked him while looking for Violet. "But I just wanted to see Violet. We belong together, we have the same eye color, you see" Jaune points at his eye with his left hand. But with his right, he reaches inside his pocket. "Get him out of here" Violet said behind the bathroom door. Don looked at the bathroom door and then back to one of the guards. "You heard him, get him out now!" Don shouted. And that's when Jaune was dragged out to his freedom. He couldn't help but smirk "Ha in your face Max, I'm a Free man tonight!".

Max was checking through the list of VIPs tonight. When he randomly felt the urge to punch Jaune's stupid face.

After being thrown outside by the guards. Jaune stood up and started to dust himself. "And now that I'm a free man...I have no idea what to do" he looked around to see some lights from the town nearby. So he started to walk over to Patch and hopefully find something to keep him busy for the next five hours. Once he was in the Main Street he noticed a festival was going on. With people dressed as goblins and ghouls. He passed by many who would ignore him or stare at him. He just kept walking till he made it to a costume store. He thought of it but eventually he gave in and walked inside to find something that could hide his face. He didn't want to risk being seen by Max or whoever he sends after him. He walks around the store till he sees something that got his attention. A sugar skull mask that covers everything but the chin (Imagine Maria's mask). He grabs it and stares at it. "You have a good eye there young man" Jaune glances at the shopkeeper. "That mask is a perfect replica from the original Grimm Reaper. A huntress who was so feared by the grimm. Legends say she could turn the mightiest of grimm to stone by just looking at them". Jaune chuckles from remembering the stories of his grandfather. He told him about the sliver eyes warriors who could kill grimm by just looking at them.

"Yea right, if they were real. Where are they now when we need them" he then turns completely to the shopkeeper. "How much?" He asked while fetching for his wallet. After buying the mask and putting it on and covering his blonde hair with his hoodie. He walked out from the store and kept walking till he pumped into someone. "Sorry about that" he said but he never looked at the figure he pumped into. He just kept on walking away with with his hands stuffed inside his pockets. "Are you alright Ruby?" a girl asked her while giving Jaune's back a glare. Ruby just kept on staring at Jaune's jacket from behind and saw a beautiful set of wings made by flames. And on the top read "Hell's Angel". She just kept staring till she felt someone shaking her shoulder. "Ruby!", "Sorry what were we talking about?" She stops looking at Jaune's Jacket and turns to her friend. "I was asking you before numb skull over there rudely pumped into you" she pointed at Jaune. Just as he turns a corner and disappears from their sight.

"If your going to Violet's concert?" just hearing his name. Made Ruby forget about the stranger's cool jacket's design. "Yes I'm going, my dad and uncle are getting me a ticket for my birthday" she answered one of her friends from school.

Tai and Qrow could be seen sitting at the bar with this defeated aura. "What are we going to do?" Tai asked while looking down to his mug full of beer. "I don't have the slightest idea" Qrow answered before drinking from his flask. Tai slams his fists on the bar "Don't give me that bullshit, I need help. I couldn't get Ruby a ticket!". "Then why don't you just buy those parts for her weapon. That kid is way to into her weapon" he just kept on drinking after giving him a easy way out. "Don't you think I've tried that. They were sold out and the only ones that are available are twice expensive then the original price!". Qrow then rolls his eyes "How expensive could they be?" Tai pulled out his scroll and shows him. Once Qrow saw how many zeros were there he did a spit take. Then after he started to choke "That's ridiculous!" Tai nods. Once Qrow recovers completely he kept looking at the scroll. "I feel sorry for the kid. Her thirteen birthday and she's not getting anything she wanted...that's rough". "I got to do something", "Why don't you call firecracker and see if she got anything for Ruby?" Tai went to his contacts.

Yang is with her friends inside a fast food restaurant. Her scroll starts to ring and she saw her father's name. She answered and heard the bad news about not getting those tickets or weapon parts that Ruby wanted. "So did you get anything?" Yang started to feel terrible. "I couldn't get what Ruby wanted this year" she was getting stares from her friends. Once she hangs up and looks at her friend who actually got lucky and got two tickets for tonight's concert. "No" she flat out rejects her before she could ask. "Come on its my little sister's birthday today!" while Yang started to argue with her friend to at least sale her one of the two tickets. Two figures walked in with one of them dressed as her favorite character from her favorite novel, Ninjas of love. And the other one as a pirate. They first looked for a table which was far enough from Yang. They took their seats and eventually deflated into despair. "I can't believe we didn't get tickets. Even after all we went through just to get two days off to come here and not see Violet" said the girl dressed as a pirate.

"All that hard work for nothing" the ninja said to the pirate. "How about I go get something for us before we go back to camp?", "Sure". Just as she went to make line to get some food. Jaune walks into the restaurant and looks for the line to order. "Man I hope they have some chicken nuggets. This is the fourth place I've checked and the other three didn't have any" he spotted the line. He stood behind a pirate girl with a very long brown ponytail. He stood behind her and could see one more person ahead of him before he could order. Just as the guy who was dressed as a mummy. Started to order did something happen that made everyone turn to their direction. "GET OUT!" the cashier yelled at the mummy. "Why?, I didn't do anything wrong!", "We don't serve animals here" the cashier said with venom present in his voice. "What did you call me?!", "You heard me freak!" just as this was going on. Did a older man show up with a name tag that read manager. "What's going on here?" the cashier turned to his boss. "This freak came in here and thinks we're going to serve him" some people started to feel bad for the Faunus. But they felt happy when the manager came to put a stop on the racism happening in his restaurant.

But once he turns towards the mummy, Jaune recognizes those hatful eyes. "Did you not read the sign outside. We don't serve animals here, so you best be leaving" he points at the door. "No!, I've been waiting here for ten minutes till your cashier learned how to press the buttons with pictures on them of fucking foods!". The manager didn't like how he yelled at him and insulted his employee. So he walked around the counter and made his way to him. Jaune saw how he reached for his shoulder and when he grabbed him. He noticed how hard he was squeezing him which made the mummy scream in pain. "Well you look at that, nothing but bark and no bite" he noticed how the pirate reached for something inside her coat. But Jaune didn't give her a chance. He gently grabs her arm "Don't" he told her. She looked behind her and looks into his eyes and saw these deep blue eyes. She wanted to say something but Jaune releases her and moves around her. Just as the manager puts more pressure. Did Jaune grab his wrist and gave him a taste of his own medicine.

Once Jaune started to put pressure around his wrist. Did he let go of the mummy "What the fuck are you doing?!". But Jaune just added more strength into his grip. Which made the manager to fall on his knees and tries to loosen the grip that was crushing his wrist. By clawing at Jaune's hand. But that's when Jaune starts to feel something trying to protect him. And that's when he saw the manager has aura. "Let me go!" He shouted but That just made Jaune squeeze even harder. "Not till you apologize to the mummy and everyone here. Who had to see you act worse then a grimm", "Fuck you!". Jaune's grip started to make his aura light up brighter till he broke through it. The manager starts to claw harder at Jaune's hand but he didn't even flinch by it. "SAY IT!" The manager looks up to Jaune's eyes and could see this rage.

"I'M SORRY!" after saying that, Jaune being the man of his word. He releases him "Racist fuckers like you are the reason why we're losing to the grimm" Jaune turns to the mummy. "Are you okay?" he got a nod from him while holding his shoulder. "How about I treat you to something?" but then he saw the mummy give him a nervous smile. And that's when he saw the sharp fangs "That would be great and all but I don't swing that way". Jaune started to blush behind the mask and raises his hands and starts to shake them in denial. "That's not what I meant. I just want to treat you to something because of this pathetic excuse" he pointed at the manager who didn't dare to move. "Ruined your night" he then saw everyone looking at them and got a idea. He then turns to the manager and then back to everyone "In matter of fact, why don't I treat everyone here tonight" he got cheers in responds. Even Yang who lost the battle of getting a ticket from her friend. She needed a win tonight, so why not enjoy this strangers offering for a free meal. "Good then, I saw this diner two blocks away" he starts walking towards the exit. And everyone is following him to their free meal ticket. Leaving a racist establishment and a fuming manager on his knees while rubbing his bruised wrist.

Max rushes in Violet's dressing room to find Don knocking at the bathroom door. "Violet are you okay in there?", "What's going on here?" Don turns to Max. "A fan made it inside the room and scared Violet. So he locked himself inside the bathroom but he won't respond" Max pushes him aside and starts to pound on the door. "Open up Violet!" but just like Don said, no response. He looked at Don "Break down the door" Don nodded and did as he was told. Once the door was kicked in, Max saw something that made his blood boil. A small speaker was on the sink pointing at the door. But what was next to it was a piece of paper with "I'll be back before the show starts" and a small drawing of Violet sticking out his tongue. Max grabbed the paper and started to crumble it with both of his hands. "What did the fan look like Don?" the rage behind Max's tone frightens him. "He has short blonde hair and blue eyes. And was wearing a black jacket with flames and a hoodie-" Max threw the paper onto the floor and stomps on it. "Sir?" Max stops and turns to Don "I want you to track down this guy and bring him here. I don't care if you got to use force. He'll heal fast anyway" he whispered the last part to himself.

At that very same time, Jaune was sitting at a table with the mummy, aka Stan. They went to the diner and noticed it was a family business. And the family were Faunus which made this kinda cool but funny in a way. Everyone was eating their meals which was paid by Jaune. "How can you offered everyone's meals?" Stan asks Jaune who removed his mask but kept the hoodie on. "Let's just say I have a job that can make me very wealthy" he said with a smile. He then started to drink his soda after finishing his nuggets. "Is it" he looked around to see if anyone is hearing but nobody was paying them any attention "Legal?". Jaune chuckles "Yes it's legal but I can't tell you what it is~" Stan noticed how his voice changed just then. But before he could ask what happened to his voice. The pirate from before came towards his table and stood next to Jaune. He grabs his mask and puts it on and looks at her. "I wanted to say thank you for helping back there. We Faunus need to stick together" Jaune leans back on his chair. And crosses his arms and looks at her even more closely. And that's when the ninja also made her way to them.

He turns to her too and could make out something slightly moving under the top of her mask. "Your both from the White Fang aren't you?" Stan's eyes went wide. "Yes-", "And your here at Patch to recruit?" He got a hesitant nod from both. He shakes his head and stands up "No" he said before they could ask him to join. All three Faunus were surprised by that fast rejection. "What do you mean no. You saw how they treat us" the pirate told him while her skin changed color. "So that gives us the right to kill them" he said which got everyone to look their way. Even Yang started to notice something going on. But she couldn't hear what was being said "We are fighting bac-" Jaune got closer to them "No!, your stealing, hurting and murdering people who are just doing their jobs. And some of them don't care if your born with animal parts". "Didn't you just hurt someone for me" Stan asks him. "Yes but that was different", "How is that different from what we do. We fight for equality!" The ninja shouted at Jaune. "What's your name?", "Blake" she answered him while stepping closer to him. Which Jaune looked down at her, and she could see his eyes.

"Well then Blake, I didn't bomb his restaurant or killed him for starters. I just gave him a taste of his own medicine. And maybe hurt his ego in the process but he's still breathing". Stan got up and went between them and tried to separate them from each other. They both seem ready to start a fight inside the diner. "Can we ju-", "We're just showing them that we are tired of being pushed around!" Blake yelled at Jaune's face. "That doesn't give you the right to kill innocent people in cold blood!", "They're not innocent!, they are working for the Schnee" this time it was the pirate who shouted. Jaune then focuses his sights on her "What about the families of those men you kill". He then turns his attention back to Blake "What of the children who keeps asking "Where's daddy or where's mommy". What about them?!". Blake took a step back "All your doing is feeding us is fear and anger" she took another step back.

But every step she took, Jaune follows her "Your creating your own enemies. By taking what they have" she tripped and fell on her ass. "Imagine someone taking your parents away from you forever. Just cause they worked for someone who hates Faunus. And they're only there to make ends meet. Doesn't mean they deserve to die!". "What about the countless lives lost in those mines. What of the children who lost their parents in a cave in!" Jaune glances towards the pirate. He noticed tears threatening to spill out from her eyes. "What's your name?" his voice changed to a gentler one. She wipes away some tears before answering "Ilia" he backs away from Blake. And turns to her "You lost your parents in the mines didn't you?" she bites her lower lip to prevent a mournful cry of pain. But she nods nonetheless, that made Jaune frown behind the mask. "I'm sorry to hear that...but you should know how it feels to lose someone you love. And how it lead you down this road to hate humans" he walks up to her. "I may not be perfect but I can try to be a better person...and try to understand what other people are feeling" he stops and slowly wipes away the tear from her right eye. "So try to be a better person and move on. I can guarantee, your parents wouldn't want to see their girl suffering or to make someone's child go through what you went through".

He started to move slowly for a hug. But she beat him to it and roughly started to hug him. She buried her face on his chest and kept crying. Everyone in the diner kept looking at them. Blake started to get up and looked at Ilia who didn't care who was watching. She let everything spill out, her frustrations, rage but most of all, pain. For the whole place to see. And Jaune just kept holding her and helping her through this emotional moment. After she started to calm down and pulled away from Jaune's embrace. She started to wipe away the tears and snot from her face. Once done she saw Jaune's shirt ruined "I'm sorry". He just shrugs his shoulders "It's an old shirt so who cares. But do you feel better?" She nods. He starts to feel uncomfortable after putting her through that. So he got a idea "Hey are you by any chance a fan of Violet. I know he's human and all but" he reaches inside his jacket and pulls out the envelope. "These are three tickets for his concert tonight" when they heard that. Blake went to see the envelope "And your inviting us to go with you?". Jaune looks at her and couldn't help but chuckle when he saw her sparkling eyes. "No" she gave him the cutest puppy eyes she could. He ignores her and turns to Ilia and extends it to her "I'm giving them to you three".

They looked at him like a insane person. But before he could ask what the problem is. The doors to the diner burst open and he saw Don standing there with three other guards. "If I could have your attention!" He shouted for them to turn to him. "We are looking for a young man with blonde hair and is wearing a black jacket with a hoodie attached to it!". That's when everyone looked back to Jaune and pointed their fingers at him. When Don's eyes landed on Jaune. He dashed towards him but Jaune just side steps him and puts his foot out. So Don fell down and Jaune shoves the envelope into Ilia's chest by accident. She turns red but Jaune didn't have time to see her. He started to run towards the window and jumped out while covering his face with his forearms. "Sorry for the window!" He shouted behind him while out running the guards.

He ran into a person who had a cart with guitars on it. "Guitar for sale, come get your guitar. Learn how to play soul sister. But you'll need a guitar!" But Jaune crashes into the cart and doesn't waste time. He grabs one and keeps on running "Sorry, I'll pay you back later!". He kept on running till he made it out of town and saw a dark forest. Just before he could stop running he saw a woman walking into the forest. The first thing he notice is the white hooded cloak. How brightly it shines in the dark, he stood there till he felt a gentle wind pushing him towards the forest. When that happens Jaune notices the stranger turns to face him and then goes back into the forest. Something was telling him to follow. So he started to follow the person...into a dark forest...in the middle of the night...on Halloween. As this was going on inside his head. He couldn't stop himself but follow the white light that was emitting from the mysterious person who was leaving him a trail. Till he made it to a cliff and near the edge was a tombstone. He looked around to see the stranger but nobody was around. "That's weird" he got closer to the tombstone and kneels down to get a better view.

"Summer Rose, Thus Kindly I Scatter" he read out loud. He saw the rose emblem with what appears to be on fire. "That's a pretty cool emblem" he then looked at the view ahead of him. He loves it, once he looks up. He saw the stars shining beautifully in the night sky. He got near the edge and took a seat. He moves the guitar and started to check if the strings were tuned. But two of the strings snapped "What?" He looked it over and that's when he noticed it was a phony guitar. So he dropped it off the ledge "Great" he started to think of something to pass the time. He knew once he got back to the concert, Max was going to chew him out. But then he pulls out his scroll and went to find a special audio he made. Once he found it he turns the volume up and places it next to him. "Well Summer, I was going to sing you a song with the guitar I stole but it broke. So your going to hear a piece I've been working on...even tho I can't sing it to my fans. They wouldn't understand how this song is about my...life". Jaune looks down and couldn't see anything from the darkness. "This song was inspired by me not feeling worthy to be a Arc".

While he was pretending to talk to Summer. He didn't notice two figures coming out of the forest behind him. Tai saw Jaune sitting there talking to himself but what he saw took his breath away. Qrow was the same, they couldn't believe it. Summer was standing beside him while looking down. Tai started to tear up, he wanted to go to her but he couldn't move. Qrow just stayed frozen, scared if he moved. She would disappear, but then Jaune moves his hand to tap something under Summer. But Jaune didn't even turn to see if he pressed play. Music started to play "How will I live up to these expectations. When I fall, will you show me who I'm meant to be". His voice is his normal one "Because I'm getting tired of who I've become. How can I move on when I lost my patience. I'm not a hero or a child, I'm just something in between. So don't let go before I find my way home" he started to sound depressed.

"I would chase around the little things. Moments passed, I was living for the joy they'd bring. I found my strength in silence, Until I met the violence" he starts to move his arms joyfully till he got to the violence part. He reaches for his left sleeve and pulled back. To reveal scars made by them and some of his own. "Days passed as I would start to scream. I'd hear the words around my head like they were circling. You'll never be who they all want you to become" Qrow kinda felt that part of the song. His tribe just wanted him and his sister to become stronger and tools to kill huntsmen. And with the knowledge of how huntsman worked and find their weaknesses. But he didn't want to be that person. "Oh will I make them proud enough, Or am I even worth the love. Don't let my self doubt take my pride away, yeah" Jaune moves his hand over his wrist and grabs it and starts to squeeze.

"Because my spirit felt the cuts. And my ego lost its luster just as fast as I could say" he started to release his grip and tries to calm down. Summer frowns, seeing such a young man going through this. "How will I live up to these expectations. When I fall, will you show me who I'm meant to be. Because I'm getting tired of who I've become. How can I move on when I lost my patience. I'm not a hero or a child, I'm just something in between. So don't let go before I find my way home" Tai finally found the strength to move. But Summer turns her head to reveal her face to him. He stops moving and Summer went back to looking at Jaune. Jaune starts to cry "So keep me from all these temptations. And if I cry just dry my tears, Cause I don't think anybody's got it figured out" he took off the mask and puts it beside him.

"Oh if I could count the years I've wasted. Spent running after someone I'll never become. I think I'd give up, How will I live up to these expectations. When I fall, will you show me who I'm meant to be. Because I'm getting tired of who I've become. How can I move on when I lost my patience. I'm not a hero or a child, I'm just something in between. So don't let go before I find my way home" he looks up to the stars and sees some shooting stars passing by. A small smile graces his face, and so did Summer's "So don't let go before I find my way home" just when he sang the last part. Summer turns to her family and slowly disappears from their sight. Tai wanted to shout for her to come back. But he couldn't find his voice. Jaune finally turns to where Summer was standing and grabs his scroll. And checks the time and sees he only has one hour and a half left before he has to head back. So he gets up and dusts his butt and turns around to see Tai and Qrow.

Staring at him, he could see their teary eyes from the distance. "Hi there" he says but they didn't move. Which made the moment kinda uncomfortable by the silence.

Max came to the diner where Jaune was spotted but he escaped. After talking to some of the people who were there. Some of them told him what he did in that other restaurant. He started to get anger till he heard from the guy who was dressed as a mummy. How he helped him and that the manager was a racist. That's when he understood why Jaune did that. So he paid for the broken window and was about to leave when a pirate and Ninja stopped him. "Why are you chasing after-" Blake then realizes something. They never got the name of the person who gave them the tickets. "Sorry but that's confidential" he told them but the pirate just got in his way. "Not till you tell us why?" he was about to push her aside but he notice a pink envelope poking out of her coat pocket. He points at it "Did he give you those?" she moved her hand to protect them with her life. "What's it to yea?" he starts to rub his forehead with his right hand. "Those are three VIP tickets for Violet's concert isn't it" she was surprised. But Blake got between them in a protective manner. "You are not taking these from us" she told him while narrowing her eyes.

But Max just pulled out his scroll and dials a number. "Yes this is Jones and I want to add three names to the list" Blake, Ilia and Stan were confused. He turns to them "What's your names?", "Why should we give you our names?!" Blake asked. "Because if I don't get your names right now. Those tickets won't work and he'll annoy me for not letting you three in" this just made them even more confused. He waited patiently till he got annoyed even more. "I'm Violet's Agent" he waits for them to process what he said and then it clicked. Blake shakily turns to Ilia and she did the same "Did. We. Just. Meet. Violet. And. Didn't. Realize. It!" Both shouted at each other.

After Jaune explaining why he was there and how he followed someone into the forest but that person just disappeared once he got here. Tai and Qrow couldn't believe all of that but after witnessing Summer standing next to the kid. They did believe him "So can I ask, why are you two here?". Tai turned to Summer's tombstone and that's when Jaune understood. "I'm sorry for being here. I didn't know-", "It's fine, I just came here to ask for her forgiveness is all". "What do you mean?" Tai chuckles and starts to scratch the back of his head in a embarrassing manner. "I sorta failed my daughter's thirteen birthday wish" he said in a sad tone. Qrow just pats Tai's back in a comforting way "Don't worry Tai, we'll figure something out". Jaune wanted to ask him what his daughter's wish is. But Qrow asks him a personal question. "So kid, you made that song or what?" Jaune felt weird but he answered him. "Yea I made it", "It's pretty good actually, you should sing it to that ginger. And show him what music should be" Jaune just raises his eyebrow in confusion. "Who?" Qrow seems annoyed "He's talking about Violet" Tai answered his question.

Jaune just rolled his eyes and went to pick up his mask. When Qrow saw it he gave him a approval nod "You got good taste kid". Jaune looked at the mask and then puts it on "Thanks I guess, but what do you mean by failing your daughter's thirteenth birthday?". Tai looked uncomfortable but he told him anyway. "She wanted to go to that concert that everyone wants to go. But I couldn't even get one ticket for her". Qrow started to pull out his flask "And we can't get her the parts for her weapon". "What kinda weapon does she have?", "It's a scythe and she wants to add a High-Caliber Sniper rifle" Qrow answers. Jaune was surprised by that answer. He looked at how miserable they both are by not getting anything for Tai's daughter's birthday. So he pulled out his scroll and started to write Max a message. "How many tickets do you need?" Jaune asks without looking at them. Qrow stops midway before drinking and Tai had this confused look. But he answered anyway "Four I guess, why are you asking?". Jaune then hits send and looks at Tai "I'm Violet's...roadie and I just send a text to him to add four new spots in his VIP guest list". He then got a text from Max who started his text in very threatening way before asking for a name for the tickets.

"Can I have a name for the tickets?" He asked them. "Tai Xiao Long" Jaune finally send Max the name and told him he'll be there in ten minutes. He puts away his scroll "Go to the concert tonight and tell the staff your a VIP and give them your name". They were shocked to hear that. Tai has been trying to find anywhere and anyone who could get him those tickets. But he couldn't find any and now a complete stranger who-. He turns to Summer's tombstone and he starts to tear up. He eventually started to smile while wiping away the tears "Even in death, your helping me". Qrow saw this and realizes what happened and couldn't help but smile with Tai. "Thanks Short-Stack" Jaune notice them looking at the tombstone.

"What kinda person was she?" He asked which made Tai to smile even wider. He was thinking till he looked up and saw a shooting star pass by. Jaune saw this so he looks up too and sees the star. "She's kinda like...my shooting star actually. She was there for me when I needed her. She was like a shining light that brightens up my darkest days" he remembered the times he couldn't move by how depressed he was after Raven leaving him and Yang. He laughs a little bit by the memory of her speeding across the room to check on him and then to Yang's crib. "She would speed across the room so fast just to check on me. Like a shooting star flying across the night sky...bringing so much hope and joy" Qrow turns to see Tai crying and not holding back, but he still held that smile. "But just like a shooting star. She was gone so fast, and I didn't get the chance to say goodbye" he kept looking at the stars.

Jaune couldn't help but feel this emotion going through his body. So he got a idea "I have to go, so take care and hopefully I see you at the concert". He started to walk away while Tai and Qrow kept looking at him.

Jaune made it back in time and tried to sneak in but sadly he got pepper spared by Don who caught him going to his room. "MY EYES!" He fell to the floor and starts to roll in pain. "HA!, now you don't have anything that connects you to Violet!" Don said while pointing at Jaune. "Wha-" he tried to ask but when he sat up and barley opened his eyes. Don spares him again which made Jaune to cry out which alerted Max and a some of the guards. "What's going on here?" He asked but saw Jaune rolling around the ground and screaming in pain. Max couldn't help but laugh at Jaune "You deserve that" he helped Jaune up. He turns to Don "Your getting a bonus for this but you should go. I have to talk to this guy". "Are you sure?" Max just gives him a nod. Once Don and the rest left, he picks up Jaune and drags him inside his dressing room. "Stop being a baby, you'll heal fast" Jaune started to open his eyes. "Yea but everything is kinda fuzzy" Jaune told him.

Max felt concerned but Jaune could feel Max's concern. "It's fine, if I can't see that well before we start I'll wing it. It's not like I haven't done something reckless before" Jaune started to undress his upper body. Max saw his scars and couldn't help but frown. "Hey Max", "Yea" Jaune then pulled out his scroll and placed it on his desk. "Do you think you could start up the small recording room. I have a song in mind to play but I need a little bit of help from you to play some instruments" he said while going to his bathroom and closing it behind him. "Sure but you only have forty minutes before the concert starts", "I'll be dressed in five minutes and maybe I can have the song ready before twenty" Jaune told him. Max just sighs and goes to get everything ready.

Later at the VIP section, Tai brought his family to the right side of the section. While Blake, Ilia and Stan were on the left side. Ruby couldn't stop from shaking from joy. "Calm down Ruby, he's just a guy" Yang told her little sister. "How Can you say that!. Violet is a genius musician of all time!" She shouted at Yang. Who just rolled her eyes not understanding why everyone likes his music. She never heard any of his songs cause she heard that they weren't rock or that good from some people. But she will admit, he looks rather handsome from Ruby's poster in her room. "Calm down Kiddo, he's just a normal person" Qrow said while taking a seat on these comfortable chair that has cup holders. Ruby just sticks out her tongue at her uncle Qrow. Tai couldn't help but just relax from the comfort of the chair.

Blake sat between Ilia and Stan. She was overjoyed of being here with her best friend. Ilia was feeling the same but instead of best friend. It is her crush that was sitting next to her. She turned pink from thinking of this as a date. Stan just started to eat his popcorn he was given for free. As they were all waiting for the show to start. Max and Violet stood in one of the corners of the stage. The curtain was blocking their presence to the audience. "Can you see yet?", "Not fully no, but I can see somethings up close. So you got to tell me which direction the VIP section is at". Max then started to tell him the locations and everything he needed to know. After a couple of minutes, people who were dressed in monster costumes. Started to go on stage that reveals a haunting house behind them and a moon on the top right side corner. Music started to play while they got in a line and started to sing together.

"Boys and girls of every age. Wouldn't you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see. This, our town of Halloween" they sang together while holding each other's hands. Ruby couldn't help herself but move to the melody. Yang just looked at her sister and couldn't help but smile. "This is Halloween, this is Halloween. Pumpkins scream in the dead of night. This is Halloween, everybody make a scene. Trick or treat 'til the neighbors gonna die of fright. It's our town, everybody scream. In this town of Halloween" two of the monsters came forward. "I am the one hiding under your bed. Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red. I am the one hiding under your stairs. Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair" Stan couldn't help but feel creeped out by how they looked. "This is Halloween, this is Halloween. Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween. In this town we call home. Everyone hail to the pumpkin song" a very large bear Faunus was dressed as a zombie sang this next part. "In this town, don't we love it now? Everybody's waiting for the next surprise"

"'Round that corner, man hiding in the trash can. Something's waiting now to pounce and how you'll scream" Tai was impressed by the monsters singing. "This is Halloween, red and black, slimy green. Aren't you scared? Well, that's just fine" two witches came forward with their hands shaking. They threw two dices on to the floor. It reveals snake eyes and everyone saw this on the holograms that were on the top of the stage. "Say it once, say it twice, Take a chance and roll the dice. Ride with the moon in the dead of night. Everybody scream, everybody scream. In our town of Halloween" Violet saw this performance from the side with Max. "It's time" Violet went over to a coffin and laid in it. Max closed it and gave the signal to two monsters who were behind him. They went and picked up the coffin.

"I am the clown with the tear-away face. Here in a flash and gone without a trace" the clown ripped his face and moved away. Then all of a sudden, the speakers started to turn on behind the people in the VIP section. "I am the who when you call, "Who's there?" I am the wind blowing through your hair" What many didn't know was the chairs have these small holes that shot out a small burst of air. That got many to jump from fright. Ilia couldn't help but turn blue from fear when she felt it. The moon started to shine and reveal a shadowy figure on it "I am the shadow on the moon at night. Filling your dreams to the brim with fright" Blake couldn't help but be over joyed by the performance. "This is Halloween, this is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween 'Alloween, 'alloween 'Alloween, 'alloween" two new monsters show up with a coffin between them. They were carrying it to the center of the stage. Once the coffin was put down facing up. "Tender lumplings everywhere, Life's no fun without a good scare. That's our job, but we're not mean. In our town of Halloween"

"In this town, don't we love it now? Everybody is waiting for the next surprise. Skeleton Violet might catch you in the back. And scream like a banshee. Make you jump out of your skin" One of the kids sets the coffin on fire. And moved away while the coffin starts to shake. Ruby moves towards the railing and leans on it and couldn't wait for the reveal. Yang did the same like her sister but she didn't seem to into it. Tai couldn't help but smile at his daughters bonding together. Qrow was just drinking from his flask and couldn't wait for this to end. "This is Halloween, everybody scream. Won't you please make way for a very special guy. Our man Violet is king of the Pumpkin Patch. Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now" Violet bursts out of the coffin which made many fans to shout his name. And one of them was none other then Ruby Rose who raises her hands up "Violet!". Violet started to stand up and the first thing they noticed was what he was wearing. He is dress like skeleton Jack with his face painted like him too. "This is Halloween, this is Halloween 'Alloween, 'alloween, 'Alloween, 'alloween. In this town we call home. Everyone hail to the pumpkin song" the monsters created a circle around Violet who just started to step out of the coffin. While the monsters started to say La,La,La Halloween over and over till Violet got to the front of the stage.

He raises both hands up and the music stops and everyone starts to shout his name even harder. He has a ear piece instead of a mic. "How is everyone doing tonight?!" he got many responds from them. Once everyone started to calm down he looked at the VIP section. "I heard from my roadie!" He spots a fussy figure near the rails with someone next to her. "That it's someone's birthday today!" Ruby couldn't believe it. Violet knows that it's her birthday. One of the cameramen points at them and they appear on the screens. Ruby nearly had a heart attack when she saw her face on those big screens. Yang couldn't help but wave at it with her smirk. "What's your name?" Violet asked her. One of the staff walked towards her with a mic. She handed it towards her and Ruby reaches for it. She looks nervous while holding the mic. Everyone was waiting for her to answer Violet.

She turns to her father who nods her to answer Violet's question. "Go on" he told her while Qrow just rolled his eyes. "Hurry Kiddo, everyone is getting impatient" Ruby looked around to see some people giving her the stink eye. She started to blush like crazy so she shouted her name. "M-My NAME I-IS RUDY!", "Then happy birthday Rudy!, and I hope you enjoy the show!". Violet told her before the worker took the mic from Ruby and walked away. Leaving her with a complete realization that she screwed up her chance of Violet knowing her name. Yang laughs at her sisters self destruction but Tai couldn't believe what happened. Qrow on the other hand couldn't help it and join Yang. But they eventually stopped when they heard the concert starting again.

"Once upon a younger year. When all our shadows disappeared. The animals inside came out to play" Yang did like the beats to the song. And she will admit that he didn't sound that bad. "Went face to face with all our fears. Learned our lessons through the tears. Made memories we knew would never fade. One day my Grandfather, he told me "Grandson, don't let it slip away" He took me in his arms, I heard him say "When you get older. Your wild heart will live for younger days. "These are the nights that never die" My Grandfather told me" Violet started to dance with everyone popping their heads or jumping with their hands up in the air.

Tai couldn't help but see Ruby getting out of her shocked state. And started I dance to the song with her sister. Both were smiling while dancing. He couldn't help but be grateful to Summer, she made this possible. "When thunder clouds start pouring down. Light a fire they can't put out. Carve your name into those shining stars. He said: "Go venture far beyond the shores. Don't forsake this life of yours. I'll guide you home, no matter where you are" he turns to see Qrow nodding to the beat and Tai joins him. "One day my Grandfather, he told me "Grandson, don't let it slip away" When I was just a kid, I heard him say "When you get older. Your wild heart will live for younger days. Think of me if ever you're afraid" Blake was jumping to the beat and Ilia was doing the same beside her. Stan just held the railing with one hand while pumping his other one in the air.

Max couldn't stop watching Violet getting lost to his own song. The way he just danced without caring that he could barley see. "He said: "One day you'll leave this world behind. So live a life you will remember" My Grandfather told me when I was just a child "These are the nights that never die" My Grandfather told me" Violet couldn't help himself but jump into the crowd. He was carried around the ocean of fans passing him around. He looked up to the sky and couldn't believe how his sisters missed out. "These are the nights that never die" My Grandfather told me" eventually he was return to the stage where he got back on. He took a couple of steps before turning around to them. "My Grandfather told me" they sang the last part together. "Kids good" Tai told Qrow but all he got was a shrug. "I think his roadie has more talent then him" Qrow said before taking a drink from his flask.

The show went on with Violet singing many of his songs. Making Tai eventually joining his daughters dancing to his music. Qrow just remained there watching his family enjoying themselves. Blake and Ilia were the same as Ruby's family. Dancing with these large smiles that never wore off. Stan had to take a break from keeping up with them. Violet just finished a song and glanced at Max who told him to wrap it up through the ear piece. So Violet gave him a small nod and also gave him the signal to turn off the lights. As the lights started to turn off, everyone started to look around. "As much fun as this is, I have to finish. But not before singing you a song that I made in twenty minutes ago" he then started to loosen his bow tie. "This song is for the people who lost someone to soon in they're lives. It doesn't matter if they were human or Faunus" he looked at Ilia's direction. And then to where Tai was standing between his daughters. "This song is for them" he looks up where you can see stars and some shooting stars passing by.

Music started to play while everyone looks up. "Hey there now, Where'd you go. You left me here, So unexpected. You changed my life, I hope you know 'Cause now I'm lost. So unprotected. In the blink of an eye. I never got to say goodbye" the last part hit Tai like a train. He started to feel this connection to the song. "Like a shooting star, Flying across the room. So fast so far, You were gone too soon. You're a part of me, And I'll never be the same here without you. You were gone too soon" he held his tears back but then he felt someone hugging him. He looks down to see Ruby holding her dad. "You were always there, Like a shining light. On my darkest days, You were there to guide me" Qrow couldn't stop himself but let a tear escape him. He saw Yang joining in the hug too. She turns to him and extents her hand to him. "Oh I miss you now, I wish you could see. Just how much your memory, Will always mean to me" he eventually joined them. Tai wrapped his arm around him and pulled him in.

"In the blink of an eye, I never got to say goodbye" Max saw the family hugging and couldn't help but be proud of Jaune. "Like a shooting star, Flying across the room. You were gone too soon" Violet couldn't stop but see so many shooting stars flying across the night sky. "Shine on, Shine on, On to a better place. Shine on, Shine on, We'll never be the same" Ilia couldn't help but cry from thinking of her parents. Blake notices this and did the only thing she could. She embraces her with a hug. "Shine on, Shine on, Like a shooting star. Flying across the room, So fast so far. You were gone too soon, You're a part of me. And I'll never be the same here without you. You were gone too soon" Max couldn't help but remember his family. His father holding him while his older sister was sitting on his mother's lap. He could never forget his mother and sister's sliver eyes. "You were gone too soon (Shine on shine on) You were gone too soon (Shine on shine on) You were gone too soon" Violet looked at the VIP section. He may not be able to see them but he could imagine it. But in the corner of his eye. He spotted a white figure standing at the top row in the VIP section. But he blinked and when he opens his eyes again. The figure was long gone.

"Wrap it up Jaune" Max told him through his ear piece. Violet gets close to the edge "Thank you all for coming tonight and I hope you all have a happy Halloween. But first we need to sing Rudy her happy birthday song!" Everyone started to sing Ruby happy birthday. Two staff members walked towards Ruby with a cake. It didn't have her name but it did have thirteen candles. She looked at Violet who was still singing her a happy birthday. She looks back at the cake and closes her eyes. "I wish that Violet could be a part of my life" she then blows the candles.

Next morning

Jaune could be seen in his private jet that was flying towards Atlas. He kept looking out the window and couldn't stop thinking of the strange white figure he saw that night. Max came out from the bathroom and took a seat in front of Jaune. "What's up with you?", "Nothing" Jaune answered him quickly. They remained quiet for a while till Jaune remembered something he asked Max to do before they left. "Did you send it?" Max just nodded and looked at his scroll. "It should arrive this afternoon at their place" he told him. Jaune just smiles "I hope you like it Rudy".

Tai could be seen in the kitchen cleaning the dishes while his daughters were arguing behind him. They are seating at the table "I can't believe you!" Ruby shouted at Yang. "You didn't even like him before last night!" Yang just shrugs. "What can I say, I fell over heels for him. After listening to that smooth, beautiful voice of his" Tai wanted to say something but he held his tongue for now. "Dad, Yang is trying to ruin my dreams of becoming-", "Violet's sister in law" Yang said with a toothy grin. Before they could keep going through this argument. The door rings and Tai goes to see who it is. He opens it and sees a mail man who is wearing riot armor. "Hey Phil", "Don't you hey Phil me, just take the package!" he shoves the package into Tai's chest. And makes a run for it to his car. Once inside the car, he starts driving away while shouting "NOT TODAY!". Tai closes the door and turns to his girls "I swear that man has problems". He walks to the living room and places the heavy box on the coffee table. He opens it and the first thing he sees is a sugar skull mask. Which he recognizes from Violet's roadie. He picks it up and looks at it for a bit before looking what was under it.

He sees the parts for that Sniper rifle that Ruby wanted. He then notices a letter that was on the side of the parts. He picks it up and looks at it and sees a autograph from Violet. He couldn't help himself but chuckle from joy. He looks up and sees a photo of Summer and Ruby smiling at the camera. He closes his eyes "Thank you Summer for making our daughter's thirteenth birthday special". While that was happening, the mail man was laughing. Till he notices his rear-view mirror was slightly crooked. He fixes it and sees something that made his blood turn cold. Zwei was sitting in the back seat with this mischievous smile.
