13. Im back

Hi everyone and sorry for updating late once again. Since the last time I updated, I got really busy. Cause I had to work more days at the family taco truck. Cause my mom got sick and I didn't have enough time to finish this chapter once the app started to work again. So here's this chapter and the next one will be done for this week for sure.

But I thought nah, might as well make a prequel. And I got the idea for Summer's spirit from Day of the Dead. And then I saw images of her and imagine her having Ruby's semblance and her white hood. Jaune slowly opens his eyes and looks at his clock that rests on his drawer that is next to his bed. He saw that it was five in the morning so he slowly got up. Thankfully Jade let him go during the night. But sadly she hogged all the covers. He got off his bed quietly and made his way to his bathroom. He took his shower and brushed his teeth and puts on deodorant. He gets dressed in his blue shirt and rolls up his sleeve. "I should go shopping for normal shirts instead of long sleeves" he told himself. He got his dark blue jeans and a pair of white shoes. He walked by his sister who started to get up. She sat up and started to rub her eyes to fully wake up. "Hey sleepy head" Jaune sat next to her. "What time is it?", "It's six in the morning" that did the trick. As Jade shot out of Jaune's bed and ran out to get ready. Jaune chuckles and gets up and goes to get his wallet and other things. But the first thing he picks up is his new scroll. He sees more missed messages from his friends. What got his attention was Ruby's number is amongst them. He opens Ruby's messages and sees her asking when will he call her. And she went to explain that Nora shared his number with her. And that's when he remembered that he promised to call her after the performance.

Then he went to Ren's and Nora's and kept seeing missed calls. "I should call them back" just as he was about to press call. He felt someone breathing on his back. "Go on do it, the more the merrier" he turns around but nobody was there. So he just turns off his scroll and puts it in his pocket. And pretends that nothing happened. He walks out of the room and into the hallway and sees every photos on the walls. The only photos of him are the ones from three years ago. He kept walking till he reaches the dining room and sees his grandfather and professor Port eating breakfast. "Good morning" he said to them as he went to sit next to his grandfather. "Good morning Mr. Arc" Port told Jaune. "So what's the plan for today?" Oro asked him while reaching for the last cookie. But someone slaps his hand away "OW!" Oro started to rub his hand. Port then reaches for the cookie but Oro wasn't having any of that. So he grabs Port's wrist "You can take a man's wife or kill him...but you don't deny him a cookie". Both of them start to get up slowly but Oro never released Port's wrist. "The host should let the guest have the last cookie" as they started to glare each other with deadly intent. "Last I checked, I'm your boss-" They heard crunching from Jaune's direction. They slowly turn with their glares ready to target their new enemy, who was munching with a smug smile. After a couple of minutes of none stop chewing. Jaune leans back on his chair "Got milk?".

Fox and Yatsu were walking down the hall when they hear grunts and loud banging. Fox raises his eyebrow till Jaune went through the wall right next to them. And slams into the next wall "HA! Gotcha!" Oro's voice could be heard from the new hole on the wall. Jaune starts to stand up and cracks his neck, dusts himself before running back into the dining room. "That's all you got old man!" After couple of minutes and sound of wood breaking. Port came falling from the ceiling and landed right in front of his students. He managed to stand up before falling on his butt "It seems Mr. Arc is stronger then he appears to be *cough*". Jade walks between Fox and Yatsu and sees the new holes and hears her Grandfather and Jaune fighting in the kitchen. She slowly walks next to the broken wall and barley peeks in. Jaune could be seen in a boxing stance while Oro is holding a broken leg from the destroyed table. "You brought this on yourself Jaune", "You are weak old man. Your time has passed and you know it. So let the young eat the last cookie!". They start to circle around the room, waiting to see who makes the first move.

Oro raises his weapon at Jaune "You were supposed to be the best of us Jaune...all you had to do was let your dear grandfather eat the last cookie". "I was saving your life from eating junk food!" Jaune stops and felt a big part of the broken table right in front of his right foot. He slowly pushes his foot under it as best as he can "A cookie isn't junk food!, it's a way of life. And you've betrayed that way of life" he starts to grip his weapon tighter. You can hear the cracks emitting from it. "Then make your move" Oro takes a stance and inhales. Jaune moved his foot farther in and that's when Oro heard the wood move. He reopens his eyes and moves towards his grandson. Jaune lifts up his leg and pulls up the broken wood to blind his grandfather. Allowing him a direct hit to his face. "Jaune!" Jade shouts at her brother, who turns to her. So Oro takes advantage of the distraction and drops his weapon and cocks his fist back and delivers a punch. That sends Jaune flying through so many walls and eventually he lands on the front yard. "That old man, just had to throw me outside" he slowly stands up and looks around to see Coco and Velvet wearing their exercise gear. By the way they're dressed and sweating. He figured out they were in their morning jog. "Hey girls, nice weather we're having" he said before crawling back through the holes he bursted out from.

"Back for some more" Oro starts to get in his stance but Jaune just waved him off. He walks to Jade who got her lunch box from Sliver. She turns to her brother and grabs his hand and starts to pull him towards the garage. "We have to go now!" Jaune couldn't help but smile at this. He starts to remember how he used to take her to school. So he grabs her and throws her up onto his shoulders and runs out of there. With Jade giggling from the nostalgia. "Hey old fart, I'm taking one of your cars!" Jaune shouts at his grandfather who got a tick mark on his forehead. "Remember this old fart kicked your ass!" Oro shouts back. Before he felt a part of the broken table smash into the back of his head. He rubs the spot he was hit and saw Peter there with his fists up. He notices Fox and Yatsu standing behind him. "Fox, go protect my grandchildren and Yatsu" he then rips off his upper clothing. Revealing his muscular build "Get the first aid kit for your professor".

Beacon

Nora is panicking while Ren was trying to calm her down. They were seated at their table with Pyrrha and team RWBY. "Why hasn't he called back?" Nora kept her scroll in hand just an cause. "Maybe he was tired from singing like that. I would believe his throat is sore from making his voice like that" Ruby said while holding her throat. "But he could have at least texted back or something!" Nora counters Ruby's logic. "But we can't do anything about tha-", "Yes we can!, me and Renny are going to Headmaster Ozpin and ask permission to go and check on Jaune-Jaune". Weiss turns to Pyrrha who just remain eating her breakfast. "What about you, are you going too?", "No, I already have a appointment with my agent tomorrow. And I'm taking three days off for the meeting with him and seeing my mother". Nora couldn't help but look at Pyrrha. "Friend Ruby" they turn to see Penny standing there with something that made their heads tilt. She was wearing a shirt from Jade's collection. The very same one that Jaune's sister wore from last night. She notices their stares "It's the shirt from Jade's live video last night. I got it this morning for being the tenth viewer" she told them. She had this big smile "And that's not all" she raises her scroll. "I also gained access to early merchandise when more are release" Ruby got up from her seat and got a better look at the shirt.

"It's amazing isn't it?" She asked her first friend. But before Ruby could reply. May walks beside them "Hey Ruby, Penny" she kinda was expecting something from Ruby. By the way she just left her after telling her about Jaune. "May!" but Ruby and Penny start hugging her in a bone crushing group hug. She couldn't help but blush from the hug. Penny releases her and starts showing her the shirt. While that was happening two figures appear beside them. But the thing that got their attention was that they didn't recognize them. "Hello there, I'm Arslan Altan and this is Reese Chloris we are looking for a Jaune Arc". "And why may that be?" Ren was the one to ask. "I just wanted to check up on him. We were told by the nurse that he left the infirmary a while back. And I just wanted to make sure he was alright after...his panic attack". The new revelation made May concern. After witnessing Jaune's bad trip and him crying about someone hurting him.

"When was this?" Pyrrha asks her while Ren held Nora's hand. "It was Friday, he was in the hallway punching the wall none stop. I had to intervene, his fist was completely broken from what I saw". Ruby didn't know what to say or do but she felt May comforting her by putting her hand on her shoulder. "Why didn't he tell us or the nurse cal-" Pyrrha said. "Cause we're bad friends" Nora was the one to say. Everyone turns to her "When was the last time we actually hanged out with him". She squeezes Ren's hand tightly but not in a bone crushing way. More like finding the strength to say something that she wants to say out loud. "He was all alone here while Ruby was with Penny and May" Yang stands up. "Are yo-", "And you!" Nora shouts so loud that made her stop on her tracks. "You do nothing but treat Jaune like a nobody" she turns to Weiss. "And your the worst one of all Schnee", "Nora calm down" she pulls her hand from Ren. "No she needs to hear this" she fixes her glare on her. "Any chance you get, you insult him. Not thinking about his feelings or how much he's hurting" every word was Like a slap to her face.

"You even tried to take a shirt from him cause you thought he was going to ruin it. And you did it publicly!" Nora lost her breathe after that. She was hyperventilating at this point. Her anger starts crumbling after remembering what happened after that. Seeing Jaune slamming the door after being told they couldn't hang out as a team. Tears were threatening to come out. "And I'm no better" she sat right back in her chair. "He wanted to spend time with us...but we rather be with other people" Ren couldn't help but pull her into a hug. Penny looks at Ruby and then sees everyone else depressed. "Why don't you just call him?, Ruby", "We've tried but he won't answer". Penny couldn't help but feel...sad for her friend. "Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie, please report to Headmaster's office!" The speakers announced. "Let's go" Ren told her softly. She just nods weakly and they both get up from their seats. Not before telling Pyrrha good luck at her meeting. But they notice how Pyrrha didn't acknowledge them. Maybe cause of all this new information about Jaune. They both left everyone with their thoughts.

They eventually made it to the elevator and Ren held Nora's hand. "Don't worry about what happened then. You said Jaune forgave you" he told her. "I know he did...but why didn't he tell us about his drug use or his panic attack?". He wants to say anything just to calm her down. But he didn't know what to say. So he just remains quiet and squeezes her hand for comfort. Once the elevator makes it to the top. Ren and Nora walk out of the elevator and see Headmaster Ozpin and General Ironwood with Weiss's sister by his side. "Mr. Ren and Miss Valkyrie, I called you here today for a mission requested by Oro D'Arc" the news left them speechless. "Wh-", "And Specialist Schnee will be your leader for this mission" they turn to see Winter surprise by this news too. "And your assignment is to protect VIPs. That Mr. D'Arc has invited to a wedding he is hosting at his castle this weekend". "Sorry but what?", "He wishes to meet his grandson's teammates. But sadly Miss. Nikos already has personal business. Which he understood and still requested you both" Ozpin told them. "And I volunteered Specialist Schnee to represent Atlas" Ironwood said. "You should report to the airport right now...before she finds out about this" Ozpin told them. Once the three of them left to get their stuff ready. Ozpin leans on his chair and sighs "May the gods be on our side. And Glynda doesn't find out that you send Miss. Schnee" James just rolls his eyes. "You worry to much Ozpin".

Few moments later

Two Atlas soldiers walk into the teacher staff room. "Did you hear?, Specialist Schnee just left to a mission" they both go to the vending machine. "Must be a big mission for sending her", "No man, I heard that she's just transporting VIPs to a wedding". "That doesn't make sense", "That's what I thought too. But then I heard that the one to request it is Oro D'Arc". "D'Arc, as the richest guy in all of Remnant...wait a minute. Isn't Violet there to shoot that music video with Aries?". "Yes!, and I heard from a Pilot that he heard from Headmaster Ozpin. That there's going to be a nude scene in the video". "Damn, and Schnee is going to be there for that?", "I guess s-" all of a sudden they felt the room drop temperature. They look around to eventually spot Glynda sitting at a table with a bowl of salad. But the most notable thing about her was this murderous mist pouring out of her.

Jaune and Jade could be seen getting inside one of Oro's many cars. A Dodge Charger (I seriously don't know what kinda year system they use in the show. So just imagine the model the car is for yourself and color) but before they could take off. Fox came to the passenger side and knocks on the window. Jaune lowers the window "What's up?", "I was told by your grandfather to accompany you to the city". Jaune wanted to say something but Jade starts to move to the back. "It's fine, let's go already. I don't want to suffer Miss. Shades wrath!" Jaune unlocks the doors. Fox hops in and they start to drive out the big garage. Just as they started to drive away from the mansion. The drive to the city was quiet till Jade started to connect her scroll to the radio. And she played the first song she saw in her shuffle playlist. Once Jaune heard the piano play, he tried to turn off the radio. But Fox grabs his hand, Jaune turns to him. But Fox just kept his face forward "Leave it" he then releases Jaune.

Fox leans back and makes the Arcs very confused. "Making my way downtown. Walking fast, faces pass and I'm homebound" Fox starts to lip sing, which made Jaune's eyes go wide from disbelief. "Staring blankly ahead, Just making my way. Making a way through the crowd" he starts to move his head to the beat. Jade couldn't help but smile. "And I need you, And I miss you, And now I wonder. If I could fall into the sky. Do you think time would pass me by?" Jade joins in with the lip singing. Fox was still facing the road while Jaune just kept his eyes on him. Till he started to glance at the road to make sure no cars were coming. "'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles. If I could just see you tonight" he turns to Jaune and sings that part to him. "It's always times like these when I think of you. And wonder if you ever think of me. 'Cause everything's so wrong, and I don't belong. Living in your precious memory" Jade couldn't help herself but move forward and stick out from between them.

"'Cause I need you, And I miss you. And now I wonder. If I could fall into the sky. Do you think time would pass me by? Oh, 'cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles. If I could just see you tonight". Both of them turn to Jaune who looks even more confused. Till Jade starts poking his arm "Sing with us" Jaune looks at Fox. "And I, I don't wanna let you know. I, I drown in your memory. I, I don't wanna let this go. I, I don't", "Screw it" Jaune said as he eventually gave in. "Making my way downtown. Walking fast, faces pass and I'm homebound" Jaune taps the wheel like a piano with his fingers. "Staring blankly ahead, just making my way. Making a way through the crowd" All three of them start to shake their heads in the rhythm. "And I still need you, And I still miss you, And now I wonder" They made it to a red light and Jaune releases the wheel. And starts to dramatically hug the air in front of him. Fox did the same while Jade couldn't help but giggle at them. "If I could fall into the sky. Do you think time would pass us by? 'Cause you know I'd walk a thousands miles. If I could just see you, oh-oh"

A red convertible stops right next to them. With two senior ladies present. They look at them and Fox turns to them as well . But he didn't stop lip singing. "If I could fall into the sky. Do you think time would pass us by?" Jaune pops his head to the side so the ladies could also see him. "Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles. If I could just see you" they start to make their eyes dim in a seductive kinda way. "If I could just hold, you tonight" they drove off once the light turns green. Leaving two stunned women looking at their disappearing figure "Amy?", "Yes Sasha?". "Did we just get hit on?", "I think we just did" Amy pulled out some sunglasses. And so did Sasha "We still got it!" they both shout. They drive off "The ladies at bingo will be so jealous".

They barley made it in time before the bell rings. Jade got out of the car and goes to Jaune's door "Come with me". Jaune looks at his watch and sees he has thirty minutes to kill. He gets out of the car and turns to Fox. Who gave him a nod that meant he would remain in the car. Jade grabs Jaune's hand and leads him inside. As they walk inside the school building. Jaune kept looking around and noticed all the kids running to their classes. They kept walking till they stop at a door that shows kids already sitting at their respectful desks. He notices a older women around her late thirties. She was wearing something that kinda reminded him of Goodwitch. With a baby blue blouse that match her high heels. And black skirt that looks so tight. But she has smaller breasts then GoodWitch. But those long legs and juice hips- "Jaune!". He snapped out of his thoughts and looks down to see Jade tugging his hand. "Sorry I was just thinking about how big your school is hehe" Jade gave him a small glare. "You must be Jade's older brother?" he turns to see her walking towards them. "Yes I'm Jaune Miles D'Arc" once she was close enough. Jaune could smell her perfume and couldn't help but be intoxicated.

The way she was looking at him made his heart beat faster. Those brown eyes and long baby blue hair that reach her back. And her smooth voice wasn't helping his hormones. That black lipstick and eyeliner with that rich brown skin. "Rebecca Shades" she extended her hand for a hand shake. But Jaune just grabs it and turns it and leans down to kiss her backhand. "Such a beautiful name~" his voice changes into his Violet persona for a split second. But thankfully nobody acknowledged that change. He looks up to see her having a small blush. "Jaune!" Jade pulls Jaune away from her teacher who just kept looking at him. "What?, I was just being polite to this beauty of a woman~" this time Jade heard his voice changing. And that's when Jade and her classmates heard something that shocked them. Mrs. Shade giggles while covering her mouth. He couldn't help but smile, and Jade knew that smile. She starts to push him to the door "You have to go remember". He wanted to argue but he knew she was right. "Fine I'm going" he told her but not before sneaking a wink at Rebecca.

He walks back to the car and sees Fox talking through his scroll. When he got in the driver's seat, Fox hangs up his call. "Sorry for taking so long. I was talking to Jade's teacher" he starts the car. He gets a nod from Fox. Once they left the parking lot, Jaune remains silent. He starts tapping the wheel awkwardly "So who were you talking to?". "Your Grandfather", "About?" he glances at him. Waiting for him to answer the question. But Fox just keeps quiet and plans to stay like that. He was ordered not to tell anyone about the assignment. But there's something that had his attention at the moment. He's noticed it last night and this morning, Jaune's aura.

They made it back to the mansion in complete silence. They both went their separate ways. Jaune walks to the kitchen to at least get something before the filming starts. He sees everything already fixed and some of his family are there. Eating breakfast with Velvet and Yatsu. His mother, father, Saphron and Janice with her family. Cerise was being fed by Chris whose doing airplane noises while moving the spoon towards her mouth. Janice couldn't help but smile while seeing her family. Jasmine was the one to notice Jaune coming in. "Did you get Jade to class in time?" Jaune walks behind her "Yes". He leans down and gives her a kiss on the cheek. "I see you called in your contractor. To fix the mess this morning" Jaune took his seat. That was next to his father and Oro. "I had to, your mother nearly chewed my ear off. For hurting her little baby" he said mockingly. He narrows his eyes "Says the baby who cried for a cookie, WAH WAH!". This got a raise out of Oro who shoots up and puts both hands on the table. "You want to go again young man?" Jaune follows him. "Bring it, you old bag of bones!", "BOTH OF YOU SIT DOWN!" Jasmine shouts.

They instantly sat down but they kept glaring at each other. Alfred came out with a large plate with bacon, eggs and ham. He places it in front of Jaune who couldn't help but drool. He takes a satisfying sniff, and then reaches for his spoon. But before he could grab it, he felt something touching his leg. He backs up a bit and looks down to see a golden retriever. The first thing he notices is a black hoodie was on him. "Whose this?", "That's Jaune jr" his father answers him. Jaune turns to his family with a confused expression. Saphron couldn't help but tell him. "He's your replacement", "Saph stop, you know that we got him for Jade's eighth birthday" he turns to his son. "She wanted to name him after her big brother is all" but he saw Jaune's expression. He wasn't there for her birthdays. He looks at everyone else and notices he missed everyone's birthdays. "What's wrong son", "I'm sorry for not being there for all the birthdays...sorry".

Velvet couldn't help but want to go to him and comfort him. "It's fine, we all knew you were busy to attend all our birthdays. We should apologize to you, we missed two of your birthdays" Jonathan told him. "But we couldn't reach you...or find you" Jasmine said. "Speaking of which, where were you?" his oldest sister asked. "Yes Jaune where were you? We kept asking many people about your where abouts. And checked your bank statements but nothing. It was like you fell off Remnant" Saphron been itching to ask him. He looks at their guests and sees Velvet and Yatsu. "I think we should talk about that another time" he starts eating. "But-", "That's enough Saph, your brother will tell us later" she wanted to argue. But she understood, she leans back on her chair. "So honey, where's Terra?" her mother asks her. "She's still embarrassed from last night" Jaune glances at her. He wanted to say something but Amethyst came in. Holding a box, she walks towards Jaune and drops it beside his food. "What's this?" he looks it over for a bit till he sees it came from Vacuo.

"It's mail and it's addressed to you" she went to her seat. Jaune starts opening it and looks inside. And sees something that made his heart skip a beat. He closes it before his dad could see what it is. "What is it?" his mother asked. "It's nothing" he got up and held the box to his chest. "Where you going?" his dad asks him. "I have to take this to my room and put it away" he walks passed them. He didn't even stop when they kept asking him why he was leaving without eating his food. But not before hearing Amethyst to get Violet's clothes to him. Jasmine couldn't help but feel worried for her son. She stood up "I'm going to check on him", "Leave him be Jasmine" Oro told her. "But he's my only son! I have to make sur-", "he's fine" he took a bite of his bacon. "How would you know?" Jonathan asked his father while taking a bite out of his ham. The way he had this smug expression while chewing with his mouth closed. After he swallows his food he answers. "His girlfriend send him that package~" he couldn't help but admire their expressions.

Janice, Saphron and Amethyst had their mouths open from shock. Yatsu just had one eyebrow up and Jonathan nearly choked. But the best reactions had to be Jasmine and Velvet. "WHAT!" both of them shouted at him. Jasmine turns to Velvet who instantly took her seat and avoided her eyes. "Just like I said, his girlfriend send him that package. Just like the rest she send after Jaune joined Beacon". Jasmine slams her hands on the table "And you never mentioned this why!". Oro couldn't help but playfully fan himself "I may have opened one and seen something kinda". He smiles "Kinky in my opinion" he notices how Velvet's ears are more straight and those eyes of a warrior appear after hearing of a challenger. Ready to cut down anyone for her goals. "You know Miss. Scarlatina, if you want my grandson's attention" he gets up. "You should just come out and tell him how you feel. Or you'll lose him to this mysterious woman who send him some photos. That even impressed me". He walks behind her and gently pads her shoulder. "And I for one would love to see you be a part of this family" he keeps walking away. Leaving everyone with their thoughts.

Which didn't last long when a Jaune Jr took advantage of everyone spacing out. And took a seat on Jaune's chair and started to eat his food. "J.J stop eating that!" Jonathan starts pulling him off the chair. Jasmine looks at Velvet and made up her mind. "Velvet" once she got her attention. She walks beside her "There's something I want to ask you...do you have feelings for my son?". Velvet remains quiet but she felt Yatsu comfort her by placing his hand on her shoulder. She turns to him and he nods her to Jasmine who just waited for a response. Even if she knew the answer, she wanted to hear it. Velvet turns to her "Yes I love him!" Her eyes went wide and she covers her mouth. Everyone was speechless once again but this time it's a confession. Jasmine couldn't help but hug her "That's great to hear, and I'm going to help you". He snatched the bag and opens it and takes a sniff. "God I missed this burger", "Yea I thought we could eat together and maybe talk" he said while taking a seat on the bed. He looks at Violet who was already digging into his burger.

And then grabs a older box and opens it to see money once again and a letter. He opens it and it's just from his producer. Telling him to take care and that he's willing to help with his second album. He grabs another and opens it to see something different.

Jaune puts it on "Its F.A, Fallen Angel". He takes it off and puts it back in the box. This time he reaches for a envelope and sees that it's from a fan. He checks the rest and notices all of them are. Till he sees a small package, he opens it and sees something that brought a smile to his face. He pulls out a key chain and couldn't help but hold it near his chest.

He turns to Alfred "Can you do me a favor Alfred?". He shows him the key chain "Can you give this to Jade when you see her". "Is tha-", "Yes it's her" Alfred notices his tone.

He looks at the other two "That's Nora and Ren, as you can see. They're completely opposites to each other". Nora could be seen with the biggest smile and on Ren's back. While he had a small smile. "I can see she's a hand full", "Yes she is, but Ren can calm her down". They passed the time with Jaune telling Alfred stories of his team. But he notices that every time that Jaune spoke of Miss Nikos. He would have this painful tone. But eventually he looks at his scroll and sees the time. "I have to go Alfred so could you put these boxes under my bed. I don't want nobody to find them" once he got a nod. He walks out of his room and goes down the stairs. Alfred couldn't help but see the mask one last time before putting it away.

Jaune makes his way to the garage but he pumps into Max and his sister. "Hey where are you going?", "I'm off to pick up Jade and taking her to music class". "And after that your going to Dr. Smith" Amethyst said. "Yes I know" he rolls his eyes and walks by them. Amethyst looks at Max and nods him towards Jaune. He understood what she meant by that. "Hey Jaune wait up, I'll take you!" he walks to him. They eventually left the mansion and made their way into the city. Jaune and Max made it in time to see all the kids coming out of the school. They waited till Jade came running towards them. She starts getting in when she saw Max in the driver seat. "Where's Fox?", "He had something to do for Gramps. So Max came with me this time". Once she got in and starts to put on the seatbelt. Max was about to leave when Rebecca came from nowhere and made it to the passenger side. He was confused till he saw something that got his attention. Jaune's normal expression changed to something that he only seen Violet do. Jaune lowers his window "Hey Rebecca, how was your day?".

She bends down to be face to face with Jaune. Who couldn't help but look at her cleavage and back to her eyes. "It was good" she looks at Max for a bit and then turns back to Jaune. "But it could have been better. With a sort of someone staying" Jaune couldn't help but lick his lips. "Sorry but I was kinda busy with something. But maybe next time I could stay and learn somethings", "Like what?". Jaune leans closer to her and dims his eyes "Maybe some sex ed-", "JAUNE!". He turns to Max who was red and nods to the back seats. Where Jade looked like she was ready to puke. "Fine" he turns back to Rebecca "I'm sorry but we need to leave. Jade has music class after school". "That's a shame, cause I could have shown you so much" she smiles and Jaune couldn't help but do something that left Max and Jade speechless. He captures her lips with his. Rebecca leans into the kiss and closes her eyes. Once they separated she opens them and sees Jaune mischievously lick his lips. Without a warning, Max starts driving away. Knocking Miss. Shades to the floor.

While leaving the school area, Max turns to Jaune. "What the heck was that?!", "Yea!" Jade said. Jaune just leans back "I was just showing my sister's teacher my gratitude for being a amazing teacher" he lowers the mirror and sees his lips black. He opens the glove compartment and pulls out a disaffecting wipes. And starts cleaning it, Max couldn't stop and think of what Amethyst told him this morning. "What the fuck is happening to him" he focuses on the road. "Why is he acting like that?!" Jade knew her brother. And he never used to act like this back then.

After landing at Mantel, Violet and Max came out of the Jet and was met with two individuals. One of them is a big musclier woman with tanned skin. Beside her was a tall man that resembles a monk in a military kinda way. Violet leans to Max "Who are these people?" but all he got was a shrug. "We are your babysitters f-", "What my partner means, we are your bodyguards" the monk interrupted his partner. Who seem annoyed by being here. "We don't need any protection from you" Violet told them as polite as he could. Without making his annoyance present in his tone. Elm looks down at Violet "Trust me, I don't want to waste my time. Babysitting a celebrity who acts like a child". Violet moves closer to her and looks up. "Let me tell you something. I don't need your protection yo-" Max came over and covers his mouth. "Sorry about that, he's very prideful is all" once they were escorted to their car. They instead saw a limousine and not the car that Max rented for their time here. Violet didn't like how he's being treated.

"I hate this" he whispered to himself. But Max heard him, he is sitting next to him. While Vine and Elm were sitting in front of them. "Don't worry, we're just going to the hotel and then we'll go out for some drinks" Violet just looks out his window. "Actually, we're told to keep both of you in your rooms till you leave" Vine told them. Max was confused by this information. But they both stayed quiet till they made it to the hotel The Rising Sun. They had some workers help them take their bags up stairs. As they walked inside the penthouse, Vine and Elm remain outside as guards. Max is always amazed by the beauty of the penthouse. "Hey Max, follow me" Violet grabs his bags and goes to one of the walls. He puts his hand on it and slides up. To reveal a hand scanner inside. "What the heck is that?", "Gramps made this secret elevators in every penthouse in his hotels. They take you to a room on the fourth floor and to the lobby". Once the elevator opens up. Jaune turns to see Max surprise till something made him realize a big question he had for so long. "That's how you've been sneaking out!".

Down Town Mantel

"Remember Fiona, don't provoke them there. We need the bar for the birthday party tonight" she was speaking with him through a scroll. "Yes Uncle I know, no fighting in the bar" Fiona said while May was inspecting her weapon on the bar. They heard the door open and that's when Jaune and Max walked in. May sees Jaune and notices he's wearing a leather jacket. They walk to the bar and take a seat "Bartender" Max said to get her attention. Fiona was about to kick them out. But sadly their targets just shows up. Three men dress like a biker gang. Walk in, they sit down at one of the tables. The happy huntresses notice that the jacket they are wearing is red. May looks at Fiona and moves her hand to her weapon. But Fiona shakes her head and then nods towards the two civilians. So she leaves her weapon and waited for the two civilians to leave before confronting their targets. "Hey you freak!, bring us something to drink" one of them shouts at Fiona. May wanted to defend her partner but she couldn't risk those civilian's lives.

"Show some respect" Jaune said while turning around to see them. "Or what?" Jaune got off his stool. Max grabs his arm and shakes his head. "Lets just ignore them" he told him. But once Jaune pulls his arm from Max. The biggest guy pulls out a combat knife and stabs it on the table. "Sir please don't do that. Those are expensive tables made of black ironwood". "How about a game of five finger fillet?" he puts his hand on the table and waits for Jaune to chicken out. But Jaune took his seat and placed his hand on the table. "Sure", "Jaune!" Max wanted to stop him. But the other two grabs him by his shoulders. "You got guts kid, but don't cry when you cut yourself" he starts playing. Jaune just looks at his hand, not even a mistake. After he was done, he hands over the knife. "Now be careful, I wouldn't like to see you cut yourself" Jaune gets ready. But he never took his eyes off him. "Don't worry about me. I've dealt with much worse then a cut" he starts stabbing between his fingers. He picks up the pace and couldn't help but smirk. "What's wrong, never played with someone whose a pro" once he finishes. He couldn't help but do some tricks with the knife. And stab it in front of his middle finger. He pulls his hand up and flips him out. "Well you look at that...didn't cut myself" this angers him. So when Jaune turns to Max. The guy grabs his hand that was still giving him the bird. And slams it on the table and with his other hand. He picks up the knife and stabs him in his forearm. He was expecting Jaune to shout in pain or panic. But he didn't even flinch.

Jaune got this wicked smile "This is going to be fun" he said as he pulled out the knife from his forearm. Which made the bikers take a step back. "Jaun-" Max didn't finish when he saw Jaune stab the knife on the table. The knife went straight through, only leaving the handle on the top. "May sto-" she saw May leaning on the bar with her drink in hand. Jaune pushed the table to the side, stands up and walks to the leader. "You owe me a new jacket" but he didn't let him say a word before rapidly stroking him in the face. After the fifth punch, Jaune grabs him by his jacket and pulls him in. Just as he was about to knee him in the gut. He was punched back by one of his men, which made him lose his grip on him. Jaune took a step back and was rushed by both goons. He raises his arms up and blocks some of the hits. He could feel the power behind the hits "So they have aura...can't wait to break them". Once he felt a opening he moves to the side and punches one of the guys straight to the face. That punch alone send his opponent back to his friends. Jaune caught the other guy's fist and pulled him in for a hug. He lifts him up so his head would be passing Jaune's face. Suplex him, his opponent's head smashed into a stool that was behind him. Fiona's eyes went wide "NO!" Max was taken back by the move. Jaune notices his opponent's aura shatters "That was easy" but he was kicked by the leader who got momentum by running towards him. But he uses the power of the kick to roll away and use his momentum to get up.

Once up, the leader rushes him with rapid punches. He only got two hits in before Jaune starts to block them. "Stop blocking!", "Stop hitting like a bitch!" Jaune could feel the rage behind the punches now. He waits for a bit till he felt them slower, sloppy and weaker. Once he felt the change he parries a hit and gives him a punch that had all his weight and strength behind it. It shatters his aura with a broken nose to add. But Jaune wasn't taking any chances so he pulls him towards him and returns the favor. He starts delivering hits to his gut non stop. And once he saw him about to fall on his back. He grabs him again but this time there was no punch to stop him. "JAUNE THATS ENOUGH!" Max shouted when he saw Jaune was about to knee him. Thankfully his voice snaps him out of his rage. He turns to Max who had a scared expression. But he saw the biker he punched before, trying to escape. So he releases the one he was holding and sees one of the tables beside him and grabs it by the side with one hand and swings it to the coward. Max jumps to the side, out of instinct and hears a cry behind him. He looks and sees that the table hit its mark. Who was crushed between the table and wall. But what shocked him was the distance of such throw.

Fiona has her mouth open and May just eyeing Jaune who had this deadly serious look. "He might be my type" she told her friend. But Fiona starts to shake from anger. She moved around the bar and marches towards Jaune who turns to her. "Who do you think you are!" somehow her cute and angry voice made him calm down from his adrenaline. He starts to look around and sees the miss he did. "Whose paying for this, my uncle is going to kill me!" Fiona shouts at him. "I can pay for it-" then they heard the door open. They look at the new comers which all had the same jacket as the beaten up bikers.

Few moments later

"It's fine to come out now" Jaune shouted at Max who was hiding behind the bar. He pokes his head to see the place more destroyed with many bikers beaten within a inch of their lives. Jaune was pulling out a broken bottle from his shoulder. His Jacket had multiple cuts with blood present. A busted lip with a bruised cheek and a black eye. Thankfully he had two huntresses that helped him with some of the bikers. Or he would have been more hurt by them. He limps towards the bar and checks on Max just in case. "Are you fine?", "I should be asking you that!" Max shouted at Jaune who just laughed. "Never better, I needed something to let lose" he told him while jumping over the bar and looks for any unbroken bottle. His eyes land on one and he grabs it and starts to open it and takes a chug. He felt the sting from his busted lip that was closing. "Seriously" Fiona said while seeing Jaune drinking. Both of the huntresses are slightly roughed up but not wounded. Just some scraps on their clothes. "Never thought I'll see a civilian fight like that. And non less a civilian without aura" May said while checking him out.

Once he finished, he wipes some of the alcohol that trailed down to his chin. "I have some pain tolerance" he said with a smug expression. His black eye started to fade away with his bruise following suit. That got there attention even more "But I thought you said you didn't have aura. But your wounds are healing up!" Fiona asks him while leaning in closer to see his busted lip closing completely. "Oh that, it's just something I was born with" this just got them more curious. Max turns to Jaune and pulls the nearly empty bottle away from him. "I think it's time for us to go" he reaches for Jaune's arm but he missed. "But I was just having fun" he complains like a child. "Nobodies going anywhere without paying-", "Fiona!" that voice put a halt to her. Jaune looks to the person who was standing there with a bag. The first thing to notice was his hands are from a badger. She turns around to see her uncle standing there with a angry expression. "I thought I told you to leave them alone" he walks towards them while moving around the unconscious bikers. "But it wasn't me,it was him!" She points at Jaune who kept staring at her uncle's hands.

Max saw this and kicks him to get his attention "Stop staring". "Sorry" he said before he notices the rest of the people were looking at them. "Whose going to pay for this!" He said as he walks towards him. "I'll pay for all the damages sir" Max told him. "And who are-" ringing could be heard from his coat pocket. He reaches inside his pocket slowly and try's to pull out his scroll. But he struggles to do so "Do you need a hand with that?". Jaune only got a small glare from him. Once he got his scroll out, he answered it. "I think we should just write a check and leave" Max told him. He agrees but then they heard shouting from the other side of the scroll. "It's going to be my daughter's eighth birthday. And your saying we can't have it at the bar!" Jaune looks around and sees all the damage. He started to feel depressed by ruining someone's special day. Just cause of his temper. His eyes land on Fiona and could see how sad she is. May was padding her back to comfort her. "I have to do something" he reaches for his scroll and makes a call. To the hotel "What are you doing?" Max asked.

Before he could answer Max, someone answered his call. "Yes hello, I'm Jaune Miles D'Arc. And I want to hold a party at the dining area" he got Fiona and May's attention. He ignored them and kept repeating yes over and over till he hang up. He moved around the bar and went to Fiona's uncle "Can you please tell her that I made a reservation at the rising sun in two hours". To say that they were shocked to hear that. Jaune pulled out his check book and writes one for the damages. He hands him the check and the expression on his face made him smile. Nearly made him drop the scroll. "That's to much" he looks at Jaune confused. "It's fine, I nearly cost a young girl to lose a special day. Just for my stupid mistakes" he turns to Max and tells him they should go. As they were walking out he turns to them. "Hope to see you two there" he gives them his signature smile and a wink.

Later at the rising sun

Jaune was wearing his favorite jacket that he was wearing at Patch. With a white shirt and black jeans and black boots. Max changed into a white button up shirt, black dress pants and vest. With dress shoes to match his pants. They were in their secret room. "Are you ready?" Max told him. "Yes", "So let's meet them at the lobby". They both go downstairs and when the door opens. They see a bunch of Faunus outside with May and Fiona up front. With their weapons out and in front of them is Elm and Vine. "Why are all of you here?", "I already told you!, we have reservations for a party here" Elm narrows her eyes. "I don't believe you", "What's going on here?!" Jaune shouts at Elm and Vine. She turns to him "This is none of your concern, so leave". Jaune gets in front of her "This does concern me", "And who might you be?" Vine asks nicely. "I am Jaune Miles D'Arc and the heir of the D'Arc clan. Which means that this building is under my management" he gets closer to Elm who didn't move. "And I invited these lovely people here today for a birthday party for" he turns to Fiona.

"Mia", "For Mia and I will not tolerate this racism in my hotel" he expected her to back off. But she also got closer to him "I am under direct orders from General Ironwood to keep this hotel under lockdown. For the safety of Violet who is here to preform in Mantel's concert" some of the party goers started to whisper amongst each other. Jaune couldn't help but feel defeated by this. He couldn't go against the General's orders. "Is my party canceled mom?" he heard Mia ask her mother in a sad tone. "So they should leave before I'm forc-", "No you won't" this time Jaune turns to Max who puts away his scroll. "I just spoke to General Ironwood and told him our situation. He understood that Mr. D'Arc here invited them here for a party. So you will not threaten them to leave". "Holy crap, go Max!", "Fine but they are to stay here in the first floor". "Of course but I also asked him for your removal from body guarding. He wasn't insistent that you could protect our vip. But he said that the choice is up to you" Elm wasn't happy by this new information. But before she could make her Choice.

"Okay how about a bet" he walks to a table that is used to keep pamphlets for the visitors. He takes them off and places them on the floor. Once he got their full on attention, he took off his jacket and placed it on the chair. Revealing Jaune's build, his muscles might be covered by his long sleeve white shirt. But it was tight enough to show he wasn't a joking matter. "If I beat you in a arm wrestling. You leave the hotel and never come back" Elm wasn't impressed by his little guns show. "And when I win?" Jaune couldn't help but chuckle at her confidence. "If you win, I'll tell Violet to follow all your orders without a single complaint" this didn't change her mind. She then got this smile "Or, you can join Atlas military willingly". Max turns to Jaune "Deal" Jaune sits down and puts his arm ready for the battle. Elm couldn't help but respect him for accepting. She did the same, when their hands connected. They both squeezed as hard as they could. Vine and Max couldn't help but be annoyed by their actions. While the rest of the guests hoped Jaune could beat her.

"Ready" Jaune said while having a smirk "Set" Elm said while doing the same as him. "GO!" Both shouted as they started to wrestle for dominance. They both start to shake by each other's strength. "This kid is strong, but not as strong as me" she starts pushing his hand to the side. Some of the Faunus gasp from seeing their changes to have a party here, slipping away. "Oh no you don't" Jaune starts to push back even harder. Returning back to the top "You little shit" Elm glares at him. But that only fuels him with confidence. "Play times over" her strength increased so much. As Jaune is struggling to push her back. His new confidence is disappearing, and being replace with fear. He briefly glances at Mia who couldn't help but tear up. "Come on Jaune you can do it!" Max shouts. He looks at everyone and motions them to follow his lead. "JAUNE!" They shout over and over. Some of the older guests start to pray for his victory.

"Come on Jaune, show that racist-" Elm turns to them. "I'm not a raci-" a powerful roar envelopes the whole room. The next thing she saw was the ceiling and then the floor. The sound of broken wood came after the unholy roar. She quickly looks at her victories opponent. And sees his eyes, they weren't the same ones she had. It's like he's a completely deferent person. Even when Max and some of the children came to him and start to praise him for that show of strength. But he didn't acknowledge them. He just kept looking down at her. Till he got up and moved towards her. He extends his hand "Now that I won that bet, you should leave". His voice send chills up her spine. She unconsciously grabs his hand and he pulls her up. But they never broke eye contact. She eventually was the one to break it and walk to her partner. And they both left, making everyone cheer. Max comes next to Jaune "Are you alright?". "Yea, we should probably go to the dining room now" they all went.

As they were being lead by the manager to their destination. Max and Jaune remain behind them. "What happened back there?", "Don't worry about it". Max wants to know but he gave up and just kept following everyone else. "Wow this place is amazing!" the birthday girl said. She kept looking at the fancy place with this big smile. She ran up to the stage where a drum set and a guitar were. She climbs up and majority of the children did the same. "Children get down from there!" a woman with kangaroo tail yells at her daughter and the rest. Jaune couldn't help but be happy that he could make another girl's birthday special. "This is the second birthday girl you help...are you sure your not a fairy godmother" Max couldn't help and make fun. "If that's true then your my troll of an assistant" they walk behind the rest of the party goers. Max just flips him off and goes to talk to the head chef at the kitchen. "So your one of the infamous D'Arcs" May said behind him. Jaune turns and shrugs "Yea but it's not a big deal". May leans towards Fiona "dips" which made her blush.

After the guests took there seats and some of the waiters came out with food. Jaune goes up on stage "Thank you all for coming to this wonderful time for a special day" the room started to dim. And a spot light shines on Jaune and then on the birthday girl. "Mia's eighth birthday!" He starts clapping. Everyone joined, Mia started to wave to everyone. "So let's get this party started!" he got off stage and went to Max. Who is sitting with Fiona, May and Fiona's uncle. But before he could sit down Max pulled his chair. "No you don't, after you put on a show for all these people", "But I'm tired!" He whines. "What kind of show are we talking about?" May asked. Max turns to her "He's a musician" Fiona seems more interested. "Is he now" Fiona's uncle said. "He might not be Violet but he's a close second" tick marks appear on Jaune's forehead. "You want a show!, I'll give you a freaking show!" He marches back on stage. He grabs the guitar and checks if it's alright. He tones it a bit and then he goes and takes the drum bass and bass pedal.

He moves it forward and tests the mic. While he's doing this, everyone just keeps looking at him. The way he was moving and acting made many wonder if he was mad. "Come on, come on, turn the radio on. It's Friday night, and it won't be long. Gotta check my phone. And put my black boots on. It's Friday night, and it won't be long. 'Til I hit the dance floor. Hit the dance floor, I got all I need. No, I ain't got lien, I ain't got lien. But I got you baby" he winks at his table. Fiona couldn't help but blush. While May winks back and Max flips him off. "Baby, I don't need card bills to have fun tonight" some of the kids start to move to the rhythm. Moved towards the dance floor.

He just rolls his eyes playfully "Fine but I got to use the piano for this one". Places the guitar back in its place and goes to the piano. He gets ready and starts remembering the lyrics. He couldn't help but open his eyes and lose himself "Wooh ooh ooh" he looks at his audience. Some are so invested in the performance. And some with extra ears felt a little uneasy by the high pitch. More people asking for more and as much as he would like to. Max finally came up to him "As much as this is fun. You need to rest for tomorrow Jaune". He got some of the women to boo him. "Sorry but we do have work tomorrow" children join in the booing. Max couldn't help but feel nervous by all this negative attention. "Let him sing!" They chanted over and over. Jaune started to feel bad so he get up and moves around some of them. "Hey, how about my last song. Me and Max sing you a song that was written by me and him?". That seem to do the trick cause Max the as sitting next to him. "Are we seriously going to sing Found Tonight. We just use that song to practice your piano". "Yes but we've never sang it to anyone. So this could be our first time preforming together with a audience"

"Fine but you play the piano", "Fine by me old man". Max smacks him upside the head but Jaune just laughs. Max couldn't help but smile by this."We may not yet have reached our glory. But I will gladly join the fight. And when our children tell their story. They'll tell the story of tonight. They'll tell the story of tonight, Tonight" his voice got smoother just for this song. Max looks at everyone and then back at Jaune. "Have you ever felt like nobody was there? Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever felt like you could disappear? Like you could fall, and no one would hear?" Some of the younger children sat down on the floor. Fiona got closer to see Jaune's expression change to something different. He seem more lose and focus.
