It was pure chaos after that. The prisoners all began screaming and jeering, forming a mob amongst themselves and trying to get closer to the action. The guards who were available were making some kind of baricade with their bodies to try to keep things from escalating, while Rapunzel was still wailing endlessly, tears absolutely streaming down her face as she looked at what was left of her foot in total disbelief. Tiana kept struggling against the men who were holding her in place, and everything kept getting louder with each passing second, as the inmates demanded to move past the officers (who were very much outnumbered) to get a closer look at what was happening.

Suddenly there was a flash in the sky. A cold breeze swept past everyone, along with a small flurry of snow. And there stood Elsa, one of her gloves off, her hand pointed upwards. She looked upset in a manner Anna had never seen her before.

"EVERYONE QUIET! NOW!"

In an instant, everyone was silent. The prisoners all reflexively placed their hands on their heads and opened their mouths (it took Anna a few moments to do so, but she did follow their lead), while the guards stood up straight for attention.

Elsa marched towards Rapunzel, her boots making small crunches in the frost on the ground which had just emerged from her actions. Seemingly aware she shouldn't let anymore of this sort of thing happen, she placed her glove back on before speaking the tallest guard present.

"What the hell happened here?"

"We're not sure, ma'am. It was business as usual among the jailbirds this afternoon, and then out of nowhere the Naveen woman was holding her ball and using to smash into Fitzherbert's foot over and over and over again, until..."

He gestured down towards Rapunzel, who's cries were quieting down as the loss of blood appeared to be making her weaker.

"I see." Elsa got down to her knees to get a closer look at the prisoner's wounds. "And none of you thought to lift the ball up from her?"

The guard grinned sheepishly. "Well, ma'am, it turned into a riot very quickly. We sort of hand our hands full, too full to deal with the injuries of a prisoner."

"Well you're just full of heart, aren't you?" Elsa carefully lifted up the instrument of violence that had been used against Rapunzel, and as soon she did, many in the crowd let out reflexive gasps. All that remained of her foot was a puddle of bloody flesh and shattered bones.

"This infection will kill her if we don't take action now. One of you boys make yourself useful and call a freaking ambulance!"

"Why not just take her to the medical wing?"

Elsa shot the guard a death glare. "Does this look like an injury to you that our prison's piss poor medical wing would be able to handle?"

"No, ma'am! Sorry, ma'am!" And with that, the man was off.

Elsa matched her eyes with Rapunzel's. She appeared to be barely even there now, and she looked like she was about to pass out.

"Listen. This is going to hurt a lot, but I have to do it or you will die. I'm going to get rid of your foot. I'm sorry, but I have no other options."

Rapunzel managed to nod her head and let out a loud whimper.

Elsa used her teeth and tore a piece of fabric off of her shirt, rolled it up, and placed it in Rapunzel's jaw.

"Bite that if you have to. I don't want you to lose your tongue too today."

More tears were flowing from Rapunzel's eyes, but she did at least nod again.

Elsa removed both her gloves, closed her eyes, and began quietly chanting to herself. The prisoners were all staring, either awe-struck or terrified over what they were currently witnessing. Elsa was waving her arms around Rapunzel's foot, and in a matter of seconds, had transformed it into snow. An instant later, she gave her arms a thrust, and the snow almost instantly melted into a puddle. There was nothing left of Rapunzel's foot now.

Rapunzel's eyes widened over what had just happened...and then she finally passed out. Elsa was already using another tear off of her shirt to wrap around the wound.

Anna was dumbstruck. She of course knew that Elsa had great powers, but had no idea that they extended that far. No wonder so many of the inmates were scared of her!

Elsa sighed, placing the gloves back on her hands and adjusting her hat.

"She's in the hospital's hands now. But she won't be if that ambulance doesn't get here soon."

Within minutes, medics did finally arrive, loading Rapunzel's unconscious body onto a stretcher (and placing her hands in handcuffs, which Anna felt was overkill), and soon they had successfully hauled her off. With the patient now gone, Elsa marched over to the one responsible for Rapunzel's distress.

"Why the hell did you do that?"

Tiana was still on the ground, her face looking up at Elsa with a look of pure hatred.

"I don't have to tell you anything, your highness."

"You've been a model inmate up until now. Working hard, determined to have a position for yourself when you got out. You were almost there."

Tiana let out a cruel chuckle.

"Almost there? Your highness, I had a 30 year sentence in your little hell hole. It's hard to use that as a driving motivational factor after a while."

"This isn't about me! This is about a woman who you could have killed. Maybe she'll still die. Did someone put you up to this?"

Tiana chuckled. Again.

"Like I said, I don't have to tell you anything, your highness. But hey, at least I did that sorry ass a favor. I got her out of your terrible prison!"

Elsa momentarily started taking one of her gloves off but then seemed to immediately stop herself from doing so.

"Boys, lift this bitch to her feet."

The two large guards who had been holding her in place did as commanded, with Tiana struggling to resist them but to no avail.

"Strip."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. I said strip."

"I ain't stripping naked in front of all of these other bitches!"

"Tiana, you mistake me for being a warden who makes requests to her prisoners. Strip now. Guards, remove her ball and allow her to do so."

The boys did as told and let go of her, and for a split second it looked like Tiana might physically attack Elsa. But instead she obeyed, making her disgust over the matter known to everyone with her exaggerated facial expressions as she got naked. She was then promptly handcuffed behind her back.

"Now get this BITCH out of my sight! Lock her ass up in the hole, and THROW AWAY THE KEY!"

For the first time, Tiana's eyes showed a flicker of fear.

"You...you can't do that!"

"And Tiana, if I ever so much as see you touching someone else here, I will turn your entire body into snow and allow you to melt into a puddle of nothing. Now take her away, boys!"

The guards drug her off, with Tiana making loud and incoherent protests against how she was being treated every step of the way.

Elsa took a deep, long breath before speaking again.

"All of the prisoners present here are to go their cells immediately. They are to be placed on lockdown until further notice. That is all."

Many of the prisoners began loudly groaning and complaining, but Elsa paid them no mind as she marched off. There wasn't a trace of her frost left on the ground anymore, and soon all of the inmates were having their balls unlocked from their ankles and were being forced to strip naked (albeit with none of them being quite as "dramatic" about it as Tiana had been).

Anna, of course, had no choice but to obey and join the others, and was soon out of her stripes and feeling the sun blazing down on her nude flesh. It hurt, but after Elsa's cool breeze from earlier, also felt kind of good.

They were all ordered to stand into a miserable line of nudity, with each woman having to lean forward and place their right arm on the shoulder of the prisoner in front of them.

"Alright, bitches, listen up!" An especially large guard was shouting like she was some sort of army sergeant. "Move your asses! You all know the drill!"

Anna actually didn't know the drill, since she had never been a part of this before. Completely befuddled, she had to awkwardly mouth along to a military-style chant they were all doing as they slowly marched.

"Off to lockdown, we all go
When we'll get out, no one knows
None of us have any say
'Cuz we threw our lives away
We'll be naked as we rot
But at least we'll have our cots"

They kept chanting like that (with Anna pretending to join them) until they arrived at the cell block. She couldn't decide if she found this amusing or deeply disturbing (also, was there some Songs of Frozen Heart book that she wasn't aware of? How the hell did all of the girls know these lyrics by memory?).

Like clockwork, everyone was back in their cells in a matter of what felt like mere seconds, leaving Anna truly alone in her home for the first time. There was no Rapunzel there to not shut up, no Rapunzel to annoy her with her endless "advice" which she kept insisting on doing, and none of her gross bodily habits. It was just Anna by herself. And she hated it.

She became so exhausted trying to process the events of the afternoon that she collapsed to the floor.
