The teens were now looking into each other's eyes and were lost to the rest to the world.. Harry was unknowingly leaning towards Hermione, his lips mere inches apart from her's. Hermione could feel Harry's breath tickling her skin sending a shiver down her spine...
"Am I interrupting something?"Albus asked with a light chuckle..
The two teens instantly jumped apart on hearing the voice of their headmaster.
"N..n..no professor you a. are not interrupting. Please what brings you here sir?" Hermione responded immediately nudging harry in the ribs to bring him out of his trance...
'I really hate his timing' Thought Harry.
"Good morning children.. Harry I understand that you left your relatives house yesterday after a magical outburst... Don't worry, I won't ask you to go back there since the wards were all destroyed yesterday night." Dumbledore replied
"How professor? What happened? Did any Death eaters...
"No my boy, nothing like that your relatives are perfectly safe. But yesterday night when you declared that Privet Drive was no longer your home all magical wards tied to that house was shattered.. I am afraid that the blood protection will no longer be available to you.. From yesterday's incidents I understood that some of the decisions I made regarding you were wrong and I have decided to correct my mistakes, I have some truths to reveal Harry.. It is time for you to learn all the secrets." Dumbledore said interrupting Harry..
"What do you mean professor? I don't understand." Harry asked
confused.
"A prophecy was made before you were born Harry and i was the first person to hear it but unfortunately one of Tom's followers heard it and revealed half of the prophecy to him.. Tom was a big believer in prophecies, so once he heard this prophecy, he decided that he had to kill you I order to remain powerful.. So, on that faithful night, he came to your house with the ulterior motive of killing you, but unfortunately, his spell backfired and caused his downfall.." Dumbledore sat down on the couch with a sigh..
Harry was too shocke and angry to respond to what he had just heard.. He didn't know what to make of everything. His parents had died just because of a stupid prophecy made by some babbling idiot...
Realising that Harry was getting angry Hermione placed a comforting hand on Harry's shoulder calming him instantly..
"What was the prophecy professor?" Harry asked after sometime... He had to know what the prophecy was which led to the downfall of his parents..
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..." Harry and Hermione were both dumbstruck.. They both were speechless...This is what they both had been fearing for a long time.. They both knew that Harry was the only one who would be able to defeat Voldermort.. But, they never thought that it would come down to this..
"I know all this is a lot to take in for both of you but I had no choice Harry, I tried my best, but I am helpless in this situation.. You are the only one who will be able to destroy Voldermort for once and all. You should only reveal this to those who, you trust the most Harry.. You can tell Sirius and ..."
"NO!" Shouted Harry surprising both Hermione and the headmaster "Sorry, but I don't trust Ronald and anyone else other than the twins in the Weasley family..."
"Why Harry what happened? He is your best friend."
"No hermione, he is not by best friend, well not anymore.. He is always jealous of me and speaks behind my back.. He thought I would never notice it..But..Do you remember last year Mi, when I got the firebolt from Sirius? " Asked Harry
"Yes Harry, what about it?" Inquired Hermione
"Yeah so, During that time Ronald went around the school telling our friends that I probably would have bought the firebolt myself because I am very "rich" and I was just pretending that it was gift just to show everyone that I am famous and people would do anything for me."
"WHAT! HOW CAN HE EVEN SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT? YOU HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT TRUTHFUL, KIND, LOYAL AND HELPFUL TO HIM AND HOW DOES HE RETURN IT? BY BADMOUTHING YOU! I ASSURE YOU I AM GOING TO KILL THAT SON A GIT WHEN I SEE HIM...Sorry headmaster"
"Rest assured , you have nothing to worry about, I myself am now thinking of the most vile curses to use on young weasley.. I never thought any of the Weasley children would be capable of doing something like this.." Dumbledore replied in a manner which was so unlike him, meaning he was really angry..
"Even I couldn't believe it when Neville and Luna told me this.. But, the twins are nothing but loyal to us.. They are really ashamed of their family's attitude and has promised that they would support me any manner possible.." Harry replied with and sigh "They even tried to feed me love potions keyed to Ginny"
"What!?" Screamed Hermione.
"Yeah it's true.. The bracelet you gave me for my last birthday protected me from being a love sick puppy.. I don't know what i would do without you Hermione.." Harry replied wrapping his arms around hermione in a hug which she gladly reciprocated.
"Don't worry Harry, I will always be there to help you just like you are always there to help me.." Hermione replied with a sweet smile..
"Hmm! Harry can you show me the bracelet please" Inquired Dumbledore...
"Of course Sir" Harry replied showing him the bracelet..
"OH sweet merlin! From where did you get this Hermione?" Dumbledore asked.
"It belonged to my grandmother professor, she told me to give it to someone special and so I decided to give it to Harry on his birthday..." Harry smiled brightly at Hermione feeling elated that Hermione considered him special..
"Hmm! Very special indeed. Do you have a similar one as this Hermione?" Albus asked..
"Yes Professor, is there any problem?" Hermione asked showing him her bracelet..
"Just as I suspected.. These bracelets belonged to Rowena Ravenclaw and her husband.. These were created with special charms, so as to protect the wearer from all sorts of love and lust potions and also protects the wearer from some mild curses... These bracelets are believed to be passed on from one generation to another through the ravenclaw family...It seems as if you are a descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw herself ..." Albus informed the teens.
"But.. How is that possible Sir. My parents are both Muggles. They didn't even know anything about magic until we met professor Mcgonagall." Hermione asked surprise evident in her voice...
"It seems as we there are some things that we need to find out children.. I will meet the both of you here at 10 tomorrow morning. It seems as a trip to Gringotts is in order.." Dumbledore said and left in a flash of fire...
