5 DAYS LATER

"Hermione come fast! The egg is hatching" Harry shouted

Hermione came rushing inside Harry's room to find that the egg had started hatching. She went inside the room and sat beside Harry on the bed and grabbed his hand interlocking their fingers.. They both watched in amazement as they egg started hatching and a beautiful baby phoenix stepped out of the egg and ran into Harry's waiting arms...It pecked Harry on his finger drawing out little blood. Hermione, on realising what was happening stepped back to give a little space to the phoenix and Harry.. Soon enough, both Harry and the baby phoenix were engulfed in a red flame which started to fade after a few minutes..

"What just happened?" Asked Harry

I have been bonded with you master..

Wait what, master? How are you inside my head?

It is because of the bond master, I can talk to you through our connection, however far we are from each other..

OH! Alright. Just call me Harry alright.. How long will you take to grow...

I believe it will take 2 human days for me to mature Harry..

"That's pretty fast" Harry said aloud..

"What is Harry?" Hermione asked confused...

"OH, this little phoenix here is bonded with me and now she can talk to me inside my head.. She told me that she will mature in two days,. But, i need a name for her.. Any suggestions Hermione?"

"Hmm.. how about Athena?" Hemione suggested

Athena..I like it

"She likes it.. WOW! You got a perfect name at the first try. . You are wonderful Hermione.." Harry said giving Hermione a hug and giving her a kiss on her cheek making Hermione blush...

2 HOURS LATER

Harry and Hermione were sitting on the couch watching T.V with Hermione resting her head on Harry's shoulder and Harry's hand wrapped around her waist...There was a sudden burst of fire and Fawkes came in carrying a letter from Dumbledore, it read:

Harry & Hermione,
Get dressed in your best attire and meet at the Ministry of Magic. When you are ready, just touch Fawkes's feathers and you will be transported to your location...

30 minutes later
Harry and Hermione were both sitting in the court at the M.O.M dressed in their best attires.. Both of them had no idea why they both were brought here.. Both of them were having a silent conversation when the room began to fill. To their surprise, Lupin came and sat beside him wearing a huge smile on his face. They both had never seen Lupin so happy anytime before..

For the second time that day, they were both surprised out of their seats to see Sirius being brought into the court room by two guards.. He smiled brightly when he saw the both of them sitting together in the court room...

Sirius was now seated on a chair placed in the centre of the room.

TRIAL BEGINS
"Welcome everyone today we have gathered here for the trial of Sirius orion black who was confined to Azkaban for the suspected murder of James potter, Lily potter, Peter Pettigrew and 13 other Muggles... We will be questioning him under veritaserum. Sirius Black, how do you plead?"

"Not guilty. Of course, do you think I will be sitting here in front of all these witches and wizards especially Albus Dumbledore if I was guilty. Really?" Sirius asked with raised eyebrows.

"Silence!" The judge demanded and ordered to feed veritaserum to Sirius..

"Same old Padfoot " Lupin said chuckling..

"State your full name." The judge asked after Sirius was given veritaserum.

"Sirius Orion Black. You just called me that name few minutes ago" Sirius replied...

"Did you commit the crimes that you are charged upon?"

"No, I did not, I could never kill James and Lily. They were both my family. It was Wormtail, I mean, Peter was their secret keeper, he betrayed them and caused their deaths.. That night I went after Peter to take my revenge on him for killing betraying my friends.. But, he cut his finger of, killed the 13 Muggles and escaped in his animagus form, framing me for his filthy crimes" Sirius said

There were gasps heard around the room. Some were crying, some were angry at Peter and others were feeling ashamed for imprisoning an innocent man...

"Taking into account that you are answering the questions under veritaserum, we believe your words. Also, Albus Dumbledore and Remus lupin have given their memories as evidences.. The chief mugwump has also presented the will of Lord James potter and Lady Lily potter as the second evidence... Taking all these facts into account, those who all believe that Sirius Black is innocent raise their wands"

Almost everyone in the room raised their wands..

"Sirius Orion Black, I hereby declare you innocent of all the crimes that were recorded on you.. I apologize on the behalf of the Ministry of Magic for your illegal imprisonment... We hereby pay you 150,000 galleons as compensation for your illegal imprisonment. The 'kiss on sight' order against you also has been cancelled...Court adjourned..."

Sirius was wrapped in a three way hug by Lupin and Harry once they were all outside the court room. Sirius was happy to be free. He could now live with his Godson and his best friend... He could give Harry all the care that he couldn't give for the past 13 years...

"You need a long bath and a shave Padfoot. You stink." Harry said chuckling..

"I sure do pup, But first you need to tame your hair" Sirius said laughing..

Lupin and Hermione were now overcome with tears seeing the reunion between Godfather and Godson..

"Hey! It is not that bad." Harry retorted.

"Yeah! It is not bad. I kind of like his hair. It is soft and his untamable hair shows his personality. The uncontrollable and adventurous Harry Potter" Hermione said with a dreamy look in her eyes and started blushing when she realized what she had just said..

Lupin and Sirius looked at Hermione and Harry, then glanced back at each other with a knowing look in their eyes. Sirius noticed that Harry was scratching the back of his neck, a habit he had obtained from his father..

Dumbledore's heart was filled with happiness seeing the family reunion and chuckled noticing the embarrassed expressions of Harry and Hermione... He walked towards them holding a key in his hands..

"Congratulations Sirius... As of today you are officially the guardian of our dear Harry and all your rights as Lord black have been reinstated..."

"Thank you Albus, for everything."

"No problem Sirius, it was my pleasure... Now, here you go a small gift from me." Albus said handing the keys over to Sirius who looked at him with tears in his eyes. "Yes Sirius, it is the key to the Potter manor at Godric's Hollow. I have fixed everything that had been damaged and now it is safe and clean enough to live. The wards were also renewed with help of Trippy and Dobby.. You can move in with Harry today itself" Albus informed him..

"Thank you once again professor." Harry replied. He was really happy to be able to go back to the house in which he was born... Harry looked at Hermione, who looked torn between being happy and sad.. She was happy for the same reason as Harry was but was sad at the same time because she wouldn't get to see Harry until the next term starts...

On sensing Hermione's sadness, Harry walked towards her and wrapped her in hug." You can come visit me anytime you want Hermione. Nobody will stop you" Harry said pulling away from the hug and planting a soft kiss on her cheek.

"Yeah Hermione, nobody is going to stop you from visiting us... Screw it, You know what, i have a better idea. You and your parents can come and stay with us. We have enough rooms to accommodate all of you..." Sirius said brightening up Hermione's and Harry's mood.

"Really, is that possible Mr. Black?" Hermione asked with a silly smile...

"First of all, please call me Sirius and secondly you and your parents can come and stay in our house as long as you want, besides, I don't want to separate my Godson from his girlfriend...What type of a godfather would I be?" Sirius said with a smirk..

"Stop teasing the children Siri.." Remus said laughing looking at the blushing teens.

"Alright everyone... Time to go home" Albus said saving the two blushing teens from further embarrassment...

"Alright Moony, Harry let's go back to our new home"

"But Sirius, it's your and Harry's house, it's your family, I don't want to become a nuisance there" Remus tried

"I am having none of that Moony, you are also my family, you am really my brother Remus , you should come and live with us unless and until you find a pretty girl to settle with. Besides, how do you suppose I am to take care of this overgrown baby all by myself?" Sirius asked pointing at Harry.

"Hey!" Harry yelled defensively and noticed that Hermione was chuckling... He just poked his tongue out at her..

"Alright everyone. Goodbye. Come on Ms. Granger will take you home.."

"Tell your parents I thanked them for letting me stay Hermione and don't forget to ask them about what Sirius said." Harry said after hugging Hermione and giving her a kiss on her cheek.

Hermione nodded and placed a lingering kiss on his cheek... She and professor Dumbledore soon left in a burst of flames...

"Someone's in love" Sirius smirked seeing the lovestruck expression of Harry..

The three of them got out of the Ministry building and apparated to their new location...

"Home Sweet Home" Sirius remarkedonce they reached their destination...
