Blitz found himself surrounded by a mysterious fog. He did not know how he got here, but he wanted to leave at the first chance he got and find his friends.

"HELLO!?" He shouted for anyone to hear. "Grace!" He shouted for her, but nothing came. "Sora! Winter! Barry!?" No one. "Sonic!"

There was nothing, but fog. Precipitation without end. It felt eerie to him. He knew had to find a way out so he started his trek. It felt like every step he took the further away his exit. Was he walking down an endless road? Was there anything around him? The thought of loneliness did not sit well with him.

"Where is everybody?"

"I am here."

He froze at the sound of the sinister voice. He turned around only to see a hand reach out to him. He was too slow to move as he felt it grab his neck and lift him in the air. He stared down at the demon holding him up. The eye of the monster staring back at him.

Infinite chuckled wickedly at seeing the helpless boy. "As I said, I'm here to keep you company."

The dog grabbed the hand to pry it open, but it was too strong for him. "Where." He questioned the monster as he tried to free himself.

"Your friends are waiting for you." He raised his hand to strike. "Don't keep them waiting."

He shot his arm forward as his screams shouted throughout the fog.

Blitz shot up from his seat after his vivid death. He died right? He looked around quickly, only for a hand to grab him. He flinched and looked to the source. It was Sora looking concerned. Realizing it was his friend he calmed down and looked around, feeling relieved at the sight of Winter, Barry, and Stripes.

"You okay?" asked the Cardinal.

"As soon sat down you zoned out." Stripes said. "Do you remember where you are?"

"Hmm" He nodded after recognizing the change of scenery. "Yeah."

They were onboard the Resistance airship heading toward Westopolis to liberate the city from the Empire. They were briefed on the mission last night and only needed half of the Resistance for the fight. When there was concern for the only half of the fighting force for a large city, they were told in greater detail of the mission.

50% of the Resistance would tackle Westopolis.

10% G.U.N. units.

4% of Shinobi.

The rest were mass produced Wispdrones and other auto-pilot mechs. Everyone in charge knew this was a risky procedure, but they did not want everybody there in one place.

Rasp informed him she would be piloting a drone along with everyone else staying behind. He did not know why, but this was exciting. Not for the ground assault, but for the Wispdrones to be used to their fullest.

"Too bad Hops isn't here." Stripes sighed.

"Heh," Barry chuckled. "He's doing what he loved, piloting a machine. Those gizmos are dangerously awesome, but nothing beats good ol' brawn."

"You sound like an old man." Commented the cardinal.

Barry scowled at the bird. "And you sound like a nerd."

The Polar Bear faced the bloodhound with concern on her face. "You okay?"

"I'm fine." He yawned. "Had a nightmare."

"Don't get antsy, about a nightmare." Barry chuckled. "It means you have cold feet, don't have cold feet. Right Winter?"

"Correct." Winter replied. "We need you at your A-game."

Blitz nodded. "I'm not giving up until the Empire crumbles."

"Good." Barry nodded with approval. "Now that Grace is back you better get more motivated."

The bloodhound looked determined. "I am. I'm making sure the new world is a place she can feel safe." He sighed. "She doesn't want to be out here just yet, not until she feels ready."

"I'm surprised Tails decided to go out immediately after traveling for months." Sora said. "Winter and I waited a week to go on a mission after the Resistance found us."

The Polar Bear responded with a nod. "We wanted to stay in one place for awhile."

"And about her brother?" the bear asked

"She doesn't want to see him yet." Blitz said as he clenched his fist. A soft growl escaped from him. "I'm not letting him take her away."

The cardinal nodded at the dog. "We're right behind you on that."

"Do not get too possessive." Winter said. "I've seen relationships end like that."

Barry rolled his eyes. "Too late for that, those two have been inseparable since the time they almost got killed."

"Something caused the True Companion route to unlock. "Sora adjusted his glasses at the new information. The way he adjusted them had the light reflected off him and seemingly concealed his eyes. "Fascinating."

Winter gave him a sardonic expression. "You're taking this too seriously."

"It also unlocked the Fire-Forged Friends route." Sora adjusted his glasses in a serious manner with the light reflecting from them. "Fascinating."

"Now you're repeating yourself." The Polar Bear rolled her eyes.

"Anyway." Barry interrupted what he thought would be a running gag. "We're not letting Chet be an idiot and have his way."

"And soon it could unlock the intim-OW!"

Winter punched bird's arm, knowing what he would say next. Blitz was none the wiser at what the bird was hinting. He ignored the banter between the two and looked out the window. As the group was talking a memory popped up from years ago.

-Resistance Base—

Those who stayed behind were told to help pilot the Wispdrones. Many were excited to pilot this new gadget and were given instructions on how to pilot. Amongst those piloting the gizmo was Grace. She sat quietly on the couch, staring at her personal black monitor while holding a controller in her hand. As soon as the signal was given they would began piloting the drones. Her intention would be to find Team Misfit and assist them in their battle.

"Are you okay?"

The voice of Cream snapped the cheetah out of her thoughts. Grace sighed and looked to her left at the rabbit sitting patiently with a controller in her hand. Cheese the Chaos also had a controller with his own personal monitor. She found it cute that chao could use one.

"I am, just nervous."

"I know what you mean." Cream smiled lightly. "Even if we're not out there fighting, we're still support. Part of me feels I should've gone with Tails and Mr. Sonic."

"To find the real Shadow?"

"Yes," she nodded. "But I felt the kind of mission would require less people and… here I am."

"Here I am." The cheetah repeated the words, feeling a greater sense of where she is. Nearly two months ago she was home with people she loved and after that she went on a journey with other people. Now she's in the heart of the Resistance. Part of her felt she was dreaming still and not evading the Empire at every turn. One pinch later reminded her the reality.

"Hello!"

The cheetah turned to the source of the voice. Rasp the Hedgehog plopped on the chair next to her with a controller in her hand. The speedy cat met the hedgehog briefly yesterday. Blitz and the Misfits made her out to be a tech savy eccentric girl. Plus she was also the one that forced Sonic and Blitz into an experimental pod. She wasn't sure if the girl was confident in the pod or crazy.

"Hi." She greeted.

"Today is the day." The red hedgehog declared with confidence. "We get to use the Wispdrones to the fullest."

"Um…" The cheetah was not sure what to say. "Was this your idea? The Wispdrones?"

"Not mine, another member of the Brain Trust thought of it." Rasp gazed at the girl. "However, it was my idea to make Blitz a Wispon Shield. Every bloke here does not train enough for close combat which was why we opted for long range weaponry. Blitz, Barry and others are the ones who are willing to get in close to fight."

Cream nodded. "I've seen Mr. Espio's and Charmy's weapons. They look like they fit them."

"I could make you one." Rasp eyes lit up at what to give her. "You could have the Wispons that Tails originally made or new ones."

"No thank you." Cream replied politely. "I'm going to be sticking around here most of the time and offer support."

Rasp looked a bit flabbergasted at her. She needed something to defend herself.

"But Cheese and I will take a Wispon ring."

"Oh…" Rasp blurted in surprised at the girl. She knew this girl fought alongside Sonic and his friends over the years and all of them were ready to fight. She thought the rabbit would be the same like the others. Was she wrong to immediately assume this girl was battle harden as the rest?

Rasp sat back. "I'm sorry." She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

"You thought I would be just like the others, right?" Cream giggled at the girl. "I do like to see new places, but I'm not a huge fan of violence." The rabbit's face looked toward the screen and her demeanor changed to stern frown. "I'm not an idiot, I know being a pacifist or trying reason with Eggman won't work. That choice left the moment he let the world became what it is and turned my mother into... Y-y." She took a deep breath. "Yang. I will help everyone win the war and get my mother back."

Grace nodded. "We will." Chet was doing it based on fear while Vanilla was brainwashed.

Rasp nodded. "I think everyone has decided to let Yang see you first. Before G.U.N. finds her."

"That's why I got to know before anyone else." The rabbit sounded determined at the idea. "She has to come back even if reversing the brainwashing takes months to years... I'll even settle just having her behind bars if bring her back to herself does not work."

Rasp frowned slightly as she gazed at the screen. "Unfortunately, intel has told us Yang is not in Westopolis, but her partner Yin is and that's why Captain Mighty and Captain Amy are going."

Cream nodded. "I was told what he looks like and his strength. Amy has a theory and it's someone we hoped it won't be."

"Who? Is he famous?"

"No." Cream giggled. "He likes to live the quiet life and only helped out a few times. We invite or visit him when we have the chance." The rabbit face dropped slightly. "I last saw him a month before Mr. Sonic fell."

Grace thought about the many people the rabbit talked about during their journey. They were either here, captured, or not in this dimension. Among Cream's friends there was one she described as carefree and simple-minded, but in a good way. That particular person was not here, but if Yin is revealed to be that person then… she hoped her friend wouldn't succumbed to further depression.

In the cockpit Mighty watched as the ship moved closer to the city and stopped. Still cloaked, it remained undetected from enemy eye and shielded from detection. However, you would have to look closely and the jammer could only be activate for less than hour, but that was all they needed for the plan to come about. He looked over and saw another Resistance ship halt near them.

On a monitor above him an image of Amy popped up.

"Any word from our spies in the city?"

"Nope," Amy shook her head. "Not yet."

"As soon as they cut the power we go for the attack. We don't need reinforcements heading our way."

"They have the best person for the job." Amy smiled at him. "Leave to a woman to deal with it."

"She's not Uma."

"Uma recommended Blossom."

The armadillo rubbed the back of his head. "I know, I know. I'm all for giving plenty of people a chance."

"Trust Uma's judgement."

Another incoming call came. This time a split screen was produced. Amy stood on the right while a blonde women with short hair appeared on the screen. A small grin developed on the Armadillio while Amy scowled.

"Agent Garnet."

"Greetings Mighty and… Amy."

"Agent." Amy said quickly.

Mighty sensed tension from the two of them and could only surmise their hostile formed from an incident 3 years ago that involved the two of them and Sonic. He pushed that aside. "All set?"

"We picked up the Shinobi who would assist us." She smiled widely. "And we got some people willing to fly the Wispdrones."

"The more the merrier. We have a strategist here ready to coordinate the assault."

"Oh, I thought it would be the one who helped create them."

"Wave will be joining on the ground." Amy informed the woman. "Along with the rest who want to."

"I know the Commander is hanging back. I heard the other Sonic appeared from another time."

"Yes, he's coming. It's a complicated mess. Tails believes the timeline splintered for him after the doctor tried to control a time monster. That timeline is a parallel universe and... here is. We call him Cobalt."

"Cobalt," She hummed. "I don't know if it's a good or bad he's here, but we can use more help."

"Some more than others." Scoffed the pink hedgehog.

Mighty blinked innocently as he felt a cold chill down his spine. The women weren't showing animosity, there was some kind of… evil aura radiating from the both of them.

"Sonic, you idiot what did you do?"

The door opened up behind him revealing Cobalt. "Hey!"

"Ah." Garnet smiled sweetly at him. "Greetings Cobalt?"

"Who are you?" asked the hedgehog.

"We haven't met yet in your time or universe. The two of us helped one another out once."

"I was there too." Amy smiled sweetly.

Mighty shot a glare at the hedgehog. Cobalt sensed something was wrong after seeing the kind, yet subtle killer looks from the women on the screen. He knew those looks all to well as he once got them from hi mom, Lonclaw, Cousin Sonia, Aunt Aleena, and the Amy from his world. He knew when to shut up and wait for the cool down. Heck, this was why he avoided the pink hedgehog when she got mad. Now his other self got involved with something stupid that cause animosity between the two.

He vowed never to be alone with them. If circumstances forced him to be in the company of these two then bring Tails or Knuckles for extra security.

"Anyway." The armadillo spoke out, wanting to quell the scene. "As soon as we get the signal, we go full out. We charge in, make sure the citizens are safe and take care of opposition."

"Intelligence tells us Yin is there and not Yang." Garnet said. "As well as one of the Deadly Six, Zeena."

"Let's not forget about other powerful mechs." Amy added.

"Sure." The agent replied. "Mecha Sonic along with Shadowbots, Combots, and Egg pawns."

"And we're making sure to free Jet and capture the mayor." Mighty smirked. "And… we have to prepare for untimely arrivals."

"Infinite hasn't been sighted." Garnet said. "Doesn't mean he won't appear."

"We'll deal with him." Mighty smirked. "Unfortunately Sonic and Tails are out finding Shadow and Silver is sent on a secret mission."

"What mission?"

Mighty turned to Cobalt. "Well… it concerns the Phantom Ruby and its… origin. I can't say more."

"Hmm." Garnet smiled slightly. "I see, keep it yourselves. May I ask… how close are we to learning its secrets?"

"Let's just say… we might have permanent solution to the Phantom Ruby."

"Does it concern the archives in the home of the Manx Clan?"

"Yeah, but it has a possible solution, and the origin of its power. That's why we sent Silver to look into it."

"I see, wh-." She was interrupted by a ring sound. Mighty turned his attention to a Resistance member checking the computer and another checking the radar. The one at the computer, a female sheep, turned to them.

"All power has been cut to Westopolis."

"We got that too." Amy smiled brightly.

"Same." A feral grin developed on the human woman's face.

Mighty slammed his fist together while Cobalt tapped his foot. The young hedgehog pointed ahead at the window. "Then let's do it to it!"

-Westopolis moments before-

Mayor Wagner looked at the view from his penthouse, high above the city. Next to him stood Jet the Hawk. The rogue looked on with contempt. Day and after day he would come here, have small talk with the moron. Said moron would just go on about how great of a day this was.

Each time he met the mayor he wondered if he could knock him out. If he did one of three things could happen. A shock collar, head blown up or beaten by the bots.

"You know what?" The mayor said giddy. "Where is that Zeti girl? We should all play cards. Bring in some people and just make them lose money."

"That would be fine." Said the hawk. Maybe he should just go out with a bang by knocking him off the roof and face the consequences like a man. An image of Wave and Storm appeared in his head, but he shook it off. He had to be strong, but… could the Resistance continue to do what they are doing?

Then without warning all the power throughout the city. The mayor frowned deeply at seeing the sudden power outage. "Eh, my building has a backup."

Moments passed by and the electricity in his home did not power on. He started getting agitated. "Those useless morons. Who hired them!" He glared at Jet. "Those incompetent louses let themselves be stupid."

Jet shrugged slightly, but then saw something in the distance that made him smile. No, three somethings. Jet pointed behind the mayor. "I think we're under attack."

The mayor turned around and all color drained from his face. "T… what? But… why?"

"Does it matter why? They were eventually going to come." Jet said with a feral grin.

"Then it's good I came."

Jet's smile drop as he tensed at the sinister voice. He did not hear about this creature visiting today, normally he would hear about this. Wagner would always tell him about visitors with glee. If he wasn't informed then he was not in the loop.

Mayor Wagner turned to the jackal immediately without any fear. "You're here? No one told me?"

"I'm here because I want to be. I can do whatever I want."

The man scoffed at the creature. "You're here regardless, do something about this right now."

"No."

"What? Listen you furry bastard! I am the Mayor! I am an important person to the city and long supporter of the Empire. You will do your job as part of the Empire or I'll tell Ivo about your insubor-ack."

Infinite casually kicked the mayor off the penthouse to his death. The being walked up to edge of the balcony and looked on as the Resistance parachuted from the ship and drones started to emerge.

"Uh…" Jet spoke up, but seemed to lost his ability to speak. He had seen the ruthlessness of the creature after he was captured. "Um…"

"I'm here because I want to be here. I'm here because I wanted to race you today."

"What?" Jet was startled at his response. He did not expect to hear that from this monster. "But… you can fly and… I didn't think."

"That I would have interest in the sport." Infinite turned his head slightly to the hawk. "I always enjoyed the show you and the hedgehog put on. It was a favorite past time… the one thing that gave me a sense… of being alive."

"I… yeah"

"But to answer to the meat splattered on the concrete. I'm not going to do anything… yet. Give them some hope and then…." He chuckled. "Well, you'll see."

Despite the power cut off, robots were deployed from within the city. The person sending out all robotic squads was Zeena, one of the Deadly Six. She and Yin watched as the Resistance poured out and struck against the robotic horde.

"Just as I was enjoying my little 'vacation' this happens." Annoyed at the idea a bunch of rogue attacking on her time. "They want to stage a campaign then they can." She laughed haughtily and looked to Yin. "Don't know why Yang sent you here, but now is a good time to crush them."

"ERrrrrr." It growled menacingly.

"Well? Go on."

It roared a battle cry and jumped off the roof with reckless abandon. Following the armored warrior were a bunch of Swatbots and other Egg hordes. Zeena chuckled as she leapt gracefully off the building.

"Let's see how we can improve our odds."

Blitz launched his shield at the enemy below him. The shield conjured up wind as it sliced through 4 bots before returning back to him. As he landed, he unhooked the parachute bag and used his wire launcher to grapple onto a Shadow bot. He shot forward and slammed into the bot with a front kick, that sent it staggering back. The bot glanced at the bloodhound and swung its arm. Blitz used his shield to block the attack. He was sent flying away from the bot and into the park where some civilians huddled together. The bloodhound got up and waved them off.

"Go."

"You do realize we'll get in trouble by the mayor?" said porcupine.

A human female nodded. "You lose and he'll take his vengeance on us."

Blitz sighed and held up his shield as he blocked laser beams from a Shadowbot. "We'll win and you won't feel the need to be under his heel anymore."

The bot kept approaching as it fired upon the bloodhound. Then a Wispdrone swooped in and fire musical notes at the metallic machine. He unleashed a strong gust of wind from his shield. The Shadowbot ended up destroyed from the combined attack. Blitz breathed out in relief and looked at the Wispdrone hovering before him.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome!"

The bloodhound smiled brightly. "That you Grace?"

"Yes, I finally found you!"

He chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Thanks."

"I have your back. Where are the others!?"

Blitz then looked as the battle continue to move throughout the city and then he spotted Winter and Sora racing toward him.

"Blitz! Random Wispdrone!" Sora called out.

"That's Grace." The bloodhound corrected the bird.

Winter nodded at the drone. "Barry and Stripes went on ahead." She spotted the couple behind the bloodhound. "You need to get to safe-no!" She held up her hand as they were about to protest. "I don't care for your reason not to leave, go find shelter. NOW!"

The duo jumped up and ran away to find a place to hide.

Sora gripped his Tonfas and looked ahead. "You knew they would argue?"

"I can sense bull coming." Winter gripped hammer. "We don't have time to debate!"

Blitz nodded. "Let's go!"

The group raced down the street as more resistance met their way. Blitz told them to grab him as he used his wire launcher to propel them across the street onto a path above. More bots approached them as they fire away at them. Sora used his dual tonfa to fight blast away at the bots. He dodged a few laser shots before blasting them away with his hover tonfa. Winter dropped down on a bot with her Wispon hammer, slamming it head in with the cube power.

She looked up to see thicker and deadlier red buzz bombers flying toward her. She ran away as they shot at her. She switched power and swung her hammer while producing musical notes projectiles at the buzz bombers. It destroyed all, but one. The lone one ejected a missile, aiming straight toward her.

Winter gasped as she spotted the incoming missile. Fortunately a blue Wispdrone appeared in front her and produced a blue cube. The missile impacted the cube, blocking the girl from getting hit. Winter released a musical note again and destroyed the buzz bomber.

"You okay?" Rasp could be heard from the drone.

"Fine." Winter looked down at her hammer. "Rasp, I have a request for a modification."

Sora squawked as he propel himself to escape from being puncture by an Lance Egg Pawn. He used the Hover Wispons to spin him around and strike the the incoming robots. He dropped down while feeling slightly dizzy.

"Ha ha! I am the wind titan. Fear me!"

Suddenly a heavy mech appeared behind him. Sora turned around a gulped at the large bot staring at him while wielding a large hammer.

"Uh… hi!" He yelped as avoided being squished by the hammer. He ran around and blasted the head with a strong gust. It only made it stagger back. Sora gulped and jumped up in the air and used his tonfa to move away from the robot. He activated them again causing him spin around like a tornado and flew down toward the robot. He struck on the side of the body, causing it to burst open from the strong wind damage. He stopped spinning and fell to the floor while feeling as if vertigo consumed him.

"Uh… no… can't do that."

The robot glanced down and raised it hammer to strike him. That is until Blitz came at him with a Rocket infused Shield. The attack destroyed the head and sent the rest of the body falling off the ledge. The bloodhound landed, missed his foot and tumbled over before lying on his face. After a moment he saw up and shook his head.

"A lot different than my Wire Launcher." Blitz rushed over to the bird. "Sora?"

"I'm fine." Sora grumbled as he picked himself up. "Just… everyone else makes it look so easy."

"Practice." The bloodhound shrugged. "Their bodies adapt to their growing abilities." Blitz stood up and replaced the Rocket Wisp Core with Indigo. "Like Evolution."

"Like how certain birds cannot fly anymore." Sora scoffed as he brushed himself off.

"Yep, Knuckles told me when I was concerned about my power."

Boom boom!

Both boys looked around as destroyed badniks fall to the ground in a heap. Winter dropped down and gave them a look. A look that told them 'stop messing around and fight.'

The cardinal flinched and nodded while the bloodhound rubbed the back of his head.

Grace's Wispdrone floated beside him. "She's right."

"But she didn't say anything." Blitz pointed out in a soft voice.

"No excuses."

"Come on!" Rasp voice came from her Wispdrone. "Don't stand around you blokes. Science demands more results!"

Blitz chuckled and turned around to see the city still a warzone. He took a deep breath and race forward with the others tailing him. They continued their trek above the streets, using Blitz's wire launcher to propel themselves across the roof. After a while.

"Ahh! Yin is here! He's here!"

The group stopped when a group of Eggpawns dropped down in front of them. Team Misfit evaded the barrage of lasers thrown at them.

"I got the coordinates." Mighty shouted. "I'm closer."

"I'll be joining you too. I need to know his identity." Shouted Amy

"Be careful everyone." Knuckles said. "Zeena and who knows what else are still out there."

The group quickly destroyed the robots, unfortunately a large bulky Shadowbot burst through a wall beside them and throw a punch. The group evaded before it struck them, but the force from the impact sent them flying off their feet.

"Watch out!" Vector shouted. "A robot Sonic just blitzed by me. It's not Metal. It's bulkier than it sleeker counterpart."

"A giant silver Sonic is heading stra- woah." Barry shouted. "Okay, this silver Sonic is attacking my group."

"Mecha Sonic just came out of nowhrere." Cobalt shouted. "Remember Knuckles?"

"The same one that somehow repaired itself and tried to take the Master Emerald. Yes I know. Get rid of it."

The team engaged the robot quickly. The bloodhound threw his shield, activating the Indigo Wisp power. It glowed purple as it shredded the robot on the side while acquiring particles. When it went back to him, four sphere like chucky orbs floating around. Sora unleashed a wind the at the feet of the robot, damaging it and knocking it off balance. The wispdrones fired upon the bot as it continued to fall over. Winter leapt up and brought down the cube infused hammer on the head of the bot, destroying it.

Suddenly the robot morphed into violent red cubes and separated into miniature gray colored Shadowbots. The bots were slender in appearance and not like its bulky counterpart. The group quickly took care of them before moving on.

"Zeena of the Deadly Six is here. Commencing attack." Said a G.U.N. soldier.

"How many of them are left?" asked Honey.

"Four." Vector replied. "Sonic took out Zik on a mission while Silver took out Zor a few days ago. That leaves the rest of the replicas."

"This is Sakura!" shouted the girl. "The Eggnet has listed five shinobi from Conquering Storm's sect here in the city."

"It's good we're here." Uma stated. "Spread out and find them."

Blitz frowned. "Shinobi, huh." A scent caught his attention and he turned around as he used the power of Asteroid to fire a purple energy shot. The shot struck wall and transformed it into particles and danced around him. However, a figure jumped away before being hit. The shinobi figure rushed forward with a katana."

"We are to observe and only attack when provoked." The shinobi raced forward and jumped in the air.

The group jumped away before being hit. Blitz commanded the dancing particles to strike the shinobi. The warrior danced around them and launched shuriken at him. Blitz brought up his shield and blocked them all.

"Hmm.. you're the one who can copy abilities." The shinobi blocked a tonfa from Sora and kicked him away. "Conquering Storm has decided you to be trouble after the war is over."

"Huh?" Blitz questioned.

"Our clan is willing to stay out of the war for personal reasons… however if the Resistance wins and if you survive then… don't join Uma's sect when the inevitable confrontation happens."

The shinobi disappeared when she threw a smoke pellet on the ground. The misfits were puzzled about the warning thrown at the bloodhound.

"Should we worry?" Asked Sora.

"You heard her, don't get involve in Shinobi business." Rasp said.

Blitz sighed. "If they want to handle it themselves then its fine. If they come after me then I will have no choice, but to fight."

"We can worry about that later." Winter looked ahead. "Seems everybody is getting tangled up in skirmishes."

"Yeah." Blitz walked forward. "We'll destroy more robots and then free the city."

Mighty ran across the roof of a building and stopped at the edge. He looked down and spotted Yin wrecking the environment around as G.U.N. soldiers tried to fight him off. The armadillo narrowed his eyes, grit his teeth and dropped down below with his fist reeled back. He needed see the face and fur of his opponent so he need a strong hit.

Yin was unaware the armadillio's presence until Mighty yelled out to him.

"Hey!"

The soldier looked toward source of the voice and only received a strong hook equal to 100 men. The fist only cracked the helmet, not enough to reveal who it was, but enough to get the fight started.

Mighty skidded across the destroyed road and stopped. He stood up and held up his hand, ready for a fight.

Garnet walked over with the Ember Wispon Gun. She eyed the armored beast cautiously. "You got this?"

"Yep," Mighty clenched his fist. "Leave it to me… please."

Garnet displayed a compassionate look. "You do what you have to do. Our primary orders are to help civilians." Her demeanor turned serious as she turned to walk away. "Yang and Yin have to be put down sooner or later."

Mighty growled. "Yeah," The armadillo glanced at the black armored rotund warrior. The warrior began rubbing the cracked the portion of his mask. "Let's go for Round 2."

"Grrr." The beast growled and stalked toward the strongman with intent to kill. "Rahhh!" He roared before pouncing toward the armadillo with a claw raised. Mighty moved forward to duck under the swipe, grabbed the armored tail and swung the beast into a building. People inside poured out and ran away through the new hole in the wall.

The armadillo frowned slightly at the property destruction. It did not matter. It would soon be repaired after the war, now was not the time to know the costs. The creature leapt through the hole with a stove and threw it at the armadillo. Mighty caught the stove and tossed it back at the creature, who smacked it away quickly and thrusted forward with a quick jab.

Mighty evaded the jab, but received a right hook across the face. A snort from his nose and Mighty got a bit mad. He punched into the armor, noticing how durable it was with his punches. Whatever the doctor made it from it would be a bit difficult to get through.

"Who said this would be easy." He thought.

Mighty punched across the face, denting the mask more. The enemy swiped across the face of the armadillio with a claw. Blood was drawn from the cheek, yet the Second-in-command did not flinch at the pain. He was used it.

The two traded punches, trying to search for a opening. Mighty got another jab at the mask, cracking it further. The cat slammed a kick in the stomach of the armadillio causing him to gag. However Mighty grabbed the leg, picking him up and slamming him into the ground. Mighty got on top of the being and grabbed at the helmet.

"Let's see who you really are!"

Mighty tore mask in two and tossed the pieces away. He got a good look at the figure underneath before he got punched away. He landed on his feet and slid back before stopping. He rubbed the blood from his mouth and spat out saliva mixed with blood.

He grimaced at seeing the figure. He heard a gasp and looked to his left to find Amy walking toward them with a Wispdrone beside her. The girl covered her mouth at seeing Yin without a helmet on. Mighty gave a soft sigh as he turned to look at the helmetless Yin.

Standing before them was Big the Cat, the once lovable gentle giant with a passion for fishing and the quiet life. Amy was more horrified by the crazed and deranged look on his face. His barred his fangs and hissed at all of them.

"What did Eggman do?" the voice of Cream spoke out from the Wispdrone.

"Big?" Amy shouted out. "Do you recognize me?" If it was brainwashing surely they could find away to get him to snap out of it.

"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" He yelled out and pounced toward them. "KILL YOUUU!"

Mighty slid in front of Amy and readied for the attack, but the pink hedgehog leapt over and slammed her hammer at the cat, knocking him away.

"Amy?" Mighty shouted.

Tears were shedding from her eyes. "What did Eggman do to you? You and Vanillla." She choked up. "What happened?"

Mighty shook his head. "Amy, we need to knock him out and take him back to base and then…"

"I know." She cried out weakly and wiped her tears out. "He never did anything to cause trouble for him. The last was he tried to look for Froggy Eggman's amusement park." She shook her head. "Damn it."

Mighty brought up hand to his ear. "Knuckles, guys? Yin is Big the Cat."

"Damn it." Knuckles growled. "We can confirm Eggman brainwashed Vanilla and Big."

"Big is… he loves fishing." Charmy shouted. "This is a joke right? He hardly helped out and only got involved because of Froggy."

"I can count on one hand how many times Big got involved with Eggman." said the Chaotix Ninja was a solemn tone. "There was never anything intentional about the skirmishes he had with Eggman. Just someone looking to fish and to find a friend."

"Then…" Vector said. "Where is Froggy?"

Amy shook her head. "Big! Remember Froggy?"

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" The armored cat roared and bolted toward them with claws out. "DESTROY!"

Mighty scoffed. "We need to knock him out Amy."

"Yes."

"D-don't hurt him too badly." Cream spoke out.

The duo prepared themselves against the approaching titan.

Young Sonic aka Cobalt raced across the city with Mecha Sonic on his tail. He heard the conversation. He was informed of Cream's mother being under Eggman's thumb and now this Big character. He frowned slightly as a thought popped in his head. He knew too much about the future and he had to assume Robotnik/Eggman knew too much as well.

Was that why the doctor decided to find the Phantom Ruby? Questioning the whys and hows did not matter at the moment. As soon as he gets home he'll have to find seek out his potential friends and maybe find Shadow or make friends at G.U.N.

He slid to halt and spin dashed into the lesser copy of Metal Sonic. The two collided before moving away from each other. "Time for round 2 against you."

Wave and Storm road on their Extreme Gear across the city. They contributed to fighting off the robots, but their intentions were to locate Jet. Wave wasn't foolish to assume her leader was standing out in the open, but her gut told her he would be. She never listened to her gut and only relied on logic. In this case she decided to listen to her gut.

"Are you sure?" The toughman of the rogues asked. "Even I think being out in the open is stupid. You're not usually like this."

"I know!" she stressed a groan. "I know that." She grumbled as she they flew across the sky while shooting in coming enemies. "Look we have to get to him and get out and then help the others evacuate."

"Alright." He said as he used the Hover Wispon to shoot always at the robots. "These metal buckets keep coming. Where does the doc keep them all?"

"Look carefully at them. Do you see red blocks?"

Storm squinted his eyes as he destroyed a Batbrain. Upon its destruction, red blocks materialized and scattered. "Ah, yeah."

"Everyone concluded Eggman is using the Phantom Ruby to create more soldiers. A majority are physical manifestations of the Phantom Ruby."

"Ah… I think I get it. He can churn out more and never waste any resources."

"Exactly." She hummed. "It's smart, yet frightening."

"Oh…" Storm spotted the Penthouse in front of them. "He might be there."

Wave glanced at it. "You just want to steal from it."

"Er." He chuckled. "Why not?"

"Fine," She sounded exasperated as she spoke out. "Come on."

The duo road up the penthouse and dropped down at the extravagant yard of the suite. Wave looked around the area as she walked around. "Wagner really want to live the finer life."

"Is that head honcho?" Storm looked around. "Then I won't feel bad."

"You normally don't." Wave then stopped and covered her larger friend's mouth. "You hear that? Voices."

"Hnn?" The large bird raised his eyebrow.

"YOU THINK THIS IS A GAME!?" shouted the bird.

The duo recognized the voice of the leader of the rogues. He was here? It couldn't be that easy to find him. Could it? The duo rushed over and turned the corner. Upon arriving they stopped at the scene before them. Their green friend conversing with Eggman's Head Enforcer

"The game is more about luring cretin to the slaughter." Infinite turned his attention to the other birds. "All I care is about causing as much pain as possible. Jet, your teammates are here. Storm the Albatross and Wave the Swallow, you're here to free your teammate?"

Jet's eyes widen and turned to see the rest of Team Babylon standing a few feet away. "Storm? Wave? You're here?"

"W-we." Wave gulped. "We came to free you." She reached into her bag. "I got something to help you."

Storm stood in front of Wave. "Yeah! So… uh… buddy."

"Fear." He phased in front of Storm, startling the group. "I can feel it from you."

Storm and Wave backed away from the group.

"Team Babylon, aliens from another world. Witness my power."

He hovered off the ground and shot up in the air.

Jet watched the jackal go and groaned in frustration. "Damn it."

"Jet." Wave walked up to the green bird. "You okay?"

"No." He groaned. "I'm not, I'm also not happy you pick this city. Who's idea was it? Was it Sonic?"

"Everyone's, the alternative was to attack Eggman, but he put up a strong barrier around his city."

"And you chose here." He sighed. "Do have a solution to the literal bomb in my head?"

"Yes." Wave pulled out a device her satchel. Silver metallic screw driver like device. "I spent weeks on this and it will work."

Jet smirked. "Fine, I'll take the shot. Either way I can get out of here."

"We may go into danger." Storm patted the green bird on the back. "But we're not suicidal, so we're in this together."

"Thanks guys." Jet chuckled as he felt some weight lift from his shoulders.

"And we're helping the Resistance. I don't want to hear any arguments." Wave scolded.

Jet scoffed. "I wasn't planning on just jumping out at the chance of leaving. I know Infinite would come at us and separate us again." He looked up in the sky. "But let's get this thing gone. He's about to do something."

Infinite flew around, making his presence known. He then spotted Cobalt and shot toward him. Once in front of him both the young hedgehog and the metal being stopped their fight and glanced at him. "Ah… the younger hedgehog."

The moment Cobalt laid eyes on the creature, that familiar feeling returned. The feeling of needing to destroy something that did not belong. He knew it was from the exposure to the Chaos Emeralds making him react negatively to the Phantom Ruby on Infinite's chest..

When he first saw the ruby he thought nothing of it at first, but when it transported him, Tails, and Knuckles across reality he knew this was wrong. When it hurt him even as Super Sonic he knew had to be cautious while maintaining his form.

He tried to do that after he survived the three way struggle between Robotnik, Heavy King and himself. After winning the battle he got transported across space and time to this dimension and lost the Phantom Ruby. He needed more information on what happened to it. Did it get sent here along with him? Was this the same one?

He noticed Mecha Sonic stopped attacking when the jackal appeared. Could it scan the threat level and decided to shift to standby?"

"You're not as strong as your counterpart. Yes, the doctor concluded who you are, but not how you go there. The Time Eater caused the timeline to splinter. When it splinted it created two parallel universes. He strongly believes that theory and not hedgehog forgetting the adventure. Why because the doctor would know about the Phantom Ruby." The creature crossed his arms. "Perhaps two universes were created from that event. Maybe more branched out from both timelines. Maybe the barriers between worlds and realities are breaking, causing foreign trash to escape through the cracks." He began to levitate up in the air. "Will the barriers separating this dimension and other weaken when the Phantom Ruby uses too much power? If that is the conclusion then I will raze all dimension starting with the princess of the Sol Emeralds."

The jackal shot up in the air, bewildered the young hedgehog. "He's going to do what?" He remembered his fight and maneuvered away from his bulky copy. "Thought you got cold feet?" He said amusingly, but inwardly he was slightly worried about what the jackal would do and knew it would happen within the next few seconds.

Infinite floated above the city, noticing every single 'ant' running around. Why struggle? Why continue fighting when the inevitable was before them. He did not care. He was going to show them why he was a force that needed to be feared.

Infinite conjured up his power. "Let's see how you handle a twist in your heroics! Fear the power of Infinite!" He spread his arms letting red aura spread throughout the city.

Team Misfit were fighting when the red wave spread, making their hair stand on end.

"That's." The bloodhound gasped as he felt his senses go off.

Then something emerge from the ground beside them. A long-slithered snake like form of Infinite materialized. Blitz felt his nightmares were returning when he saw the face of the creature that attacked his home. He knew he would eventually run across him, but was it too soon? Was this him and not an illusion?

"THE HELL IS THAT!?" shouted Sora.

Winter eyes widen at seeing the creature's manifesting from the ground as it was fused to it. She was at a lost for word at the terror appearing as some demon out of hell. "I.."

"A…are you seeing this." Rasp whimpered at the sight of Infinite.

"It's him." Grace spoke fearfully.

It raised its hand, Blitz eyes shot open and yelled out. "MOVE MOVE!"

The group jumped in different directions to avoid the hand slamming down on the ground causing it to collapse. Blitz used his Wire Launcher to pull himself away. As he turned around he saw the mask of Infinite materialized in front of him and roared out, barring his teeth. The bloodhound felt all his bravery be devoured, causing his fight or flight to kick in. He darted away as the mask chased after him. He then heard the chatter.

"Infinite did this." Cobalt shouted. "Everyone don't panic. This is the power of the Phantom Ruby. It can change your surroundings into new territory or transport you across the world. I had to deal with this back in my world and it transformed five egg robots into life-like beings with different personalities."

"Just like how the desert became crystalized." Bunnie said.

"I didn't realize it before, but this far too powerful." Antoine shouted.

"What a terrifying power." said Clove.

"Everyone find your partner and stick together. You're safer together than apart!" Hope shouted to the forces.

"We lost some Wispdrones!"

"I got a few injured here."

"Amy and I just lost Big. He escaped when a malformed Infintie shot out of a wall to attack." Growled the Armadillo."

"They can still be destroyed!" shouted Espio. "Do not let fear override your judgement."

"Creepy weirdos everywhere!" said an apprehensive Charmy.

"Don't let up!" shouted Vector.

"Anybody getting dizzy." Asked Honey.

Blitz gulped and the tossed shield, covered in fire, at the creature. Once it struck the creature vanished into the little red squares. Blitz breathed a sigh of relief and gasped as the floor caved in, letting him fall through.

He fell onto piece of wood, but that quickly gave in and he fell through. He gasped below at seeing the face of Infinite opening his mouth to swallow him.

He quickly used his wire launcher to grapple on the ledge and shot him across the roof. His eyes widen when a large snake like Infinite materialized beside him. He instantly brought up his shield to lessen the damage from the swipe. When hit he was shot across the city.

He used his wire launcher to quickly grapple on to the ledge of a building and pulled himself on it. He managed to reach the hard platform and rolled over on his back. The bloodhound took deep breaths before getting up and gazed at the entire city. What he saw horrified him.

The city was on fire. The sky was red, buildings were collapsing, and terrain was unearthed. Everything around seemed like 1000 years in the future where the vegetation took root and no sign of life. However he knew there was life. He heard chatter from everybody.

"Report!" Knuckles shouted.

"Knuckles," Amy whimpered. "This is bad, it's like we're in a post-apocalyptic world

"Everyone!" Vector shouted. "I got some injured and scared civilians!"

"We got a few jerks coming around us." Cassia called out.

"Why does this look like that one movie I saw." Basil shouted.

"Damn." Garnet cursed. "We need to regroup!"

"Blitz!" shouted Grace. "Where are you?!"

"Blitz!" shouted Sora. "Winter and I are fine! Can you us?"

"I got a man down." Barry shouted.

"Everything about this is terrible." Uma said angrily. "Everyone remain calm, find

"We got Wispdrones still active." Said Rotor. "Our drones force have been cut in half.."

Blitz gulped slightly

"We need to find Infinite." Cobalt said. "We need someone to distract him long eno-. Oh Mecha Sonic is here for round 3."

"Big just attacked again!" Mighty shouted.

"Empire's forces are less than they used to be, but we're still in trouble."

"We all need to retreat." Knuckles ordered. "The city is lost, evacuate as may people as you can."

Blitz sighed at the failure of the mission.

"Jet is secured." Wave said. "We're about to leave."

"Ah, what do we have here."

Blitz froze at the familiar voice he would never forget. He also felt something akin to discomfort. It felt as if the abyss was reaching to attack. He slowly turned around to see the jackal standing before him with an overt superior presence to him.

Infinite menacingly glared at the bloodhound. "A mutt with no hope."

A/N: Blitz vs. Infinite. We also got Classic Sonic engaging in Mecha Sonic. Yin's identity revealed. Big the Cat. So Yin and Yang are Big and Vanilla. Could you all guess it was Big? He was the only we haven't seen so far.

Instead sending all their forces in an all out attack they only sending half and a bunch of Wispdrones. The game made it seem like Operation Big Wave cut most of their forces. At least 80%. That didn't sit well with me. That's why I had Tikal threatened Knuckles.

The Deadly Six are Phantom Ruby constructs. The actual ones... hmm I haven't decided yet if they are still alive or not. Eggman didn't want to deal with the real deals and made constructs of them. The IDW comics say they are still alive, but before it came out I was under the impression they were dead or at least told them were they dead.
