The whole class was silent, Aizawa was staring them down intensely after having just announced that today they'll be making a life changing decision. There's a few moments of silence and then, "You'll be electing class representatives today." There was cheering throughout the class about how that was a normal school activity, and then people start screaming that they should be the representative. Akira sighs, it's too loud in here sometimes. Someone raises their voice above all the others, "Everyone wait!", its Iida. "We should put it to a democratic vote!" A boy with spiked up red hair stands, "We barely know eachother though…" Akira cracks his knuckles and throws his hat into the ring, "while that may be true, it would give an alright indicator of who is looked up to here as the most capable leader, so the person with the most votes would therefore most likely be the best person to choose."
There's a bit of silence as the class stares at him. He raises an eyebrow, "What?" The redhead clears his throat (Akira remembered his name was Kirishima) and speaks, "Well… we aren't used to you being quite so straightforward and serious."
Akira shrugs, "what can I say? Can't be laid back all the time. If I never take anything seriously It could end badly." A few others nod in agreement with his statement, while relaxation is important for your well being, like anything else too much of it will do you harm.
It is decided that the vote will be held and paper is passed around to record everyone's decision. After they're written upon the slips are passed to the front and votes are tallied, the results being displayed on the board.
Akira's eyebrows shoot up as he sees the first place contender, it's him… with 8 votes… He sits up straight and looks at the board rubbing his eyes. No, he isn't seeing things, he won. He slowly stands and moves to the front of the class, standing with the person who had the second most votes, a boy with frizzy forest-green hair named Midoriya.
Akira regards his vice-rep, who's shaking in his boots. With an easy smile Akira claps him on the back, "Come on Midoriya, don't worry about it! This means that everyone trusts you and that you're a reliable guy!" The boy gives a nervous smile, "I-I'll try my best Takami-san!"
(Lunch)
Akira is gathered around one of the tables in the cafeteria with his vice-pres, Jiro, and some of Midoriya's friends. He's laying the charm on thick with Jiro, enjoying the shades of red she's turning, when suddenly an alarm starts blaring.
Without hesitating Akira shoots to his feet and looks around before something outside catches his eye. 'The media! They're past the gate!' The scene in the lunchroom has escalated out of control, people getting bowled over and trampled left and right. Within an instant Akira takes wing and finds a perch on an exit sign, a place where everyone can see him. He quickly removes a feather and hardens it before placing it on a nearby pipe and pulling it downward.
An ear-piercing grating sound erupts as sparks fly from the pipe. Everyone in the cafeteria clamps their hands over their ears to shield themselves from the noise, it's like nails on a chalkboard! When he removes the feather, everyone turns to look at Akira, his expression one of barely contained rage.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?", his voice is a low growl, but it rings out across the cafeteria. He gestures to the windows and what lies beyond them, "It's only some media vultures, yet they send you into a panic so intense that you forget those around you? Many people could have been seriously hurt." He takes a deep breath as an aura of fury pours off of him, "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU? WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST OF THE BEST, THE TOP SCHOOL IN JAPAN, HERO OR OTHERWISE! AND YET HERE YOU ARE, RUNNING AROUND AND ALMOST SENDING PEOPLE TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE SOMEONE GOT INSIDE!"
Akira takes a breath to calm himself, his fury now running cold, "Get a hold of yourselves, before you go too far." He steps off his perch and glides back to his table, going to check on Jiro. When he lands he starts looking her over, "How are you?" His voice is gentle, and quiet, "I know you don't handle loud sounds all that well so I'm hoping I didn't hurt you."
The punk girl blushes furiously, she'd just seen two new sides to Akira and if she was being honest with herself… She found both intensely attractive. Jiro takes a deep breath to calm herself before responding, "Yeah, I'm good, though it was a bit jarring."
Akira gives a relieved sigh before smiling, "Good, I would never want to hurt you. I'll be doing my best to look out for you too." Jiro swears that her face catches fire in that moment. She's too flustered to respond, so she just gathers her things and follows behind Akira as they make their way back to class.
