A/N: Okay, It's been… a while… since this fic was last updated, so bear with me if things aren't exact compared to last time.
Akira raises his eyebrows at what Aizawa had just said, "A field trip? It's not even the second week." Aizawa nods, "That may be so, but for today's training we need to go off-campus to a more suitable location. What is today's training you may ask? Why it's rescue training, by far the most important part of Heroics." Akira nods to himself, 'Yeah, guess that makes sense. The normal campus doesn't have any danger simulations beyond the robots, as far as I'm aware, and those could really only be used for simulating hostage situations. With so many different kinds of disasters and calamities, it's no wonder they'd have a specialized site for training to clean up the aftermath.'
Aizawa pulls out a remote and presses the button to release their costumes, "You can choose whether or not to wear your costumes, as some of them may interfere with rescues." As the students get up and some go to grab their cases, Akira included, he can't help but wonder how challenging today will be compared to the previous two day's trials. Oh, if only he knew.
While preparing to board the bus, Iida approaches Akira in his robotic fashion, "Takami-kun! As Class Rep, it is your duty to maintain order! I do believe this can best be accomplished with lines and a formal seating plan!" Akira grimaces, 'Great, this guy. At least he's not being an ass. He seems pretty earnest and straight-laced, someone who follows the rules down to the letter and prefers to ask permission rather than forgiveness, so maybe I should cut him a bit of slack.' The winged teen gives a slight sigh and turns to make eye-contact with Iida, "Iida Tenya, right? I appreciate the concern and willingness to help, but I don't need you to tell me how to do my job. Also", Akira takes a look inside the bus to confirm, "This is an open seating bus."
Iida visibly deflates, "Ah, I see. My apologies." Akira just lets out another sigh, damn he's doing that a lot today, "It's fine, just be a bit more mindful in the future." As the class is beginning to wonder where Aizawa is, he appears, dragging along a tallish boy with seemingly levitating lavender locks along with him. Class 1-A's Homeroom Teacher clears his throat, "Everyone, this is Shinsou Hitoshi, he had the next-highest score in the practical after Mineta, and I see potential in him, so he'll be joining us from today on."
Akira puts on a lazy smile and walks up to Shinsou, clapping him on the back and simultaneously wrapping an arm around his shoulders, "Nice to meet you! I'm your Class Rep, Takami Akira, you have any trouble you come to me." The purple haired boy nods, confused by the physical contact, "Er, hi, and thanks I guess." Akira nods and lets go of Shinsou before meandering over to the bus doors, "Alright everyone, all aboard!" The students make sure all of their items are together and then begin boarding the bus. When everyone is sat down, Akira is happy to note that he's sitting between Jiro and Shinsou.
Tossing a quick wink at Jiro, which sends the purple haired girl into a bout of hardcore blushing, Akira turns to Shinsou, "So, Shinsou, what can you do? Aizawa-sensei clearly sees potential in you, so I'd like to know what you're capable of. As the appointed leader of the class, it only makes sense that I'd know everyone's absolute best so that I can lead them toward being stronger."
Shinsou grimaces at the question, "Well, ranking in physical ability I'd say I'm about average, but with Quirks… My Quirk lets me gain control over people by asking them a question." Akira lets out a low whistle, "Wow, that's impressive, no wonder Aizawa-sensei sees potential in you. You're starting off with a pretty strong power, and if he's chosen you then you definitely have the will to improve as well. Good thing we got you out of General Studies, huh?"
Shinsou stares at Akira, dumbfounded, "You… don't think it's a Villain's Quirk?" Akira lets out a snort, "Of course not, there's no such thing. What matters most about a Quirk is what you do with it. If 'Villainous' Quirks were a thing", Akira gestures at Bakugou, "Then I don't think Mr. Sparky-Sparky Boom Man over there would've been allowed to join us."
Bakugou seethes quietly, but most of the others around the bus are nodding in agreement. Akira smiles, "See Shinsou? I think you'll do just fine here. With a useful power like that and the drive to succeed, there's so many places you could go from here. Actually, I think you'll be perfect for what we're doing today. You can cease someone's panic in an instant, get a scared civilian to cooperate with rescue efforts, or even talk your way through a hostage situation if it comes to that. Honestly, the fact you weren't with us at the beginning of the year instead of Mineta is a travesty."
Shinsou stares in surprise for a few more seconds before a small smile spreads across his lips, "Thanks Takami-san, I think I needed to hear that." Akira gives Shinsou a reassuring grin, "It's no problem, it's my duty as Class Rep to have your back after all."
The bus comes to a stop and Aizawa has them get out and enter a large domed structure with several smaller, but still quite large, structures contained within. Upon entering they are greeted by a white spacesuit wearing individual. Akira smiles as Midoriya excitedly fanboys over the Hero, "Oh my god! It's the Space Hero Thirteen! The gentlemanly Hero who's saved so many people from disasters!"
The Hero nods and gives a grand gesture, "Yes, and welcome to my space! The Unforeseen Simulations Joint! Or USJ for short." Akira has to hold back a snort, 'Like Universal Studios Japan? Wonder if they've tried to file for copyright.' Thirteen continues her speech, "Anyway, before we begin I have one, no two… three… four, five, six…" Giving up on counting, the Pro begins her explanation, "Moving on, I have some points to make. You all know about my Quirk, right?"
Midoriya nods enthusiastically, "Yeah! Black Hole! It sucks up matter and can turn it to dust, you've saved so many people with it!" Thirteen nods, "Correct, I've saved many lives with it, but it could just as easily be used to kill."
The mood in the air turns somber, 'Oh', Akira thinks, 'We're discussing the heavy stuff already.' Thirteen carries on, "I believe some of you may have realized the same about your Quirks as well, whether just now or earlier on in your lives, many of you have at least thought of how easily your quirk could kill someone. However, there is no need to fear, as your teachers we are here to instruct you in the proper use of your abilities. You do not have these powers so that you may kill, you have them so that you may save! I thank you for your time."
Thirteen gives a short bow as the class applauds, and is about to begin the lesson, but suddenly the lights flicker and a feeling Akira recognizes all too easily fills the atmosphere. 'Blood lust? What the hell is happening?' As Akira looks around, he quickly falls into a combat stance, having noticed an expanding mass of darkness down in the USJ plaza. As the darkness finishes expanding and a hand reaches through, Akira can't help but wonder if he'll ever catch a break.
A/N: Okay, finally updated this after… a little over three months… Anyway, I'm trying to get into the habit of working on my drafts as close to daily as I can make myself, so hopefully there isn't another three month, or longer, break in any of my fics again. Having said that, bye.
